Very disappointed, I should have trusted the other reviews. Very poor company…do not buy from them. The new mower was delivered damages. I took photos of the packaging and the damaged mower on the same day it was delivered and sent an email to the company and filled out the proper paperwork for replacement parts. It’s been over a month and the company will not respond in any manner. I am now charging back the credit card to get their attention. The mover is not usable.

Will not return emails, since I can not make a phone call to contact them. If you call them automated answering tells you to go to their website... which the do not answer. First year with mower, throttle and brake clutch cable rust out. To their credit I get New ones. Next year front two wheels break off welds and I am told that is routine maintenance. No problem I bought the Home Depot extended warranty... yes that is a problem because Home Depot will not take over until after manufacturer warranty runs out which is another year and a half from now. Save 800 dollars and pay someone to cut your lawn for three years should be their slogan.

Bought a Z62 beast mower. Timid as a mouse, drive will not engage after 8 hours of use, then told i would have to transport the mower nearly 40 miles to s service center ( or pay $100 for them to pick it up). I have a $4,000 yard ornament for sale if anybody wants one. DO NOT buy from these, they do not support the customer.

Currently trying to purchase a left hydro for my mower with 48 hours on it. I have the Z Beast 62 inch and the left hydro has been off since I purchased it. There’s no way to talk to anyone on the phone and trying to buy one and confirm on email is impossible. Stay away from anything related to this company.

It has now been a full year since I purchased the commercial duty DEK ChipperShredder from HomeDepot.com. Approximately 7 months of that time has been spent trying to get Gxi to abide by their warranty. It has been one of the most disturbing and frustrating times in my life. I have never seen a company so resistant to helping a customer who has a straightforward problem. There were multiple issues with the machine, including the leaf chute, branch chute and rotor hammers. The final and most serious problem was the axle breaking in numerous places and the wheels falling off. With each and every issue I brought up, Customer Service claimed it wasnt a manufacturers defect. The Chipper literally falling apart, and its not a manufacturing defect? Then it is an engineering defect, which is even worse.Customer service has accused me of abuse of the chipper. I have no idea where they have gotten this impression, or what evidence they have, because the accusation is completely false. I have used the chipper to chip willow branches (one of the softest woods on earth) for about 20 hours total run time. I have not put in any hard objects; I have not dropped it: I have not even pulled it (with anything more than by hand) more than one time, and that was at 2mph 200 yards down into my property. They insisted that I take it to to a shop to verify what the problems were. This is the Shops (Matkin TAE Supply) response: after looking at this unit my Tech & myself and talking with customer we are thinking this should fall under a warranty statist. The physical condition of unit shows no aggressive use or used or treated in a rough way. My recommendation is give him his money back or send him a new unit. After getting this reply, Customer Service continued to claim that I did something wrong or abused the machine. And they can decipher this how? Being 800 miles away? And the certified mechanic that THEY insisted on agrees that it has NOT been abused?I have bought and used a fair amount of power equipment in the past, and honestly the overall quality of this chipper is by far the worst I have ever encountered. If this is not a simple Warranty issue, I really dont know what would be.I suggested various fair compromises, ways to make this situation right with a customer. They dont care. Zero offers of any money back or return of product were considered. My best advice: Stay far far away!

This place is a joke! I purchased a mower at a sale price and after a couple days they said they were out of stock of that mower and had to cancel my order....however their website showed they had 5 in stock. They then said we can sell you the exact same mower only several hundred bucks more because it has a better engine. I filed a BBB complaint and noticed there have been several other complaints against this company and I would beware of purchasing from them!

I just called customer service to ask a question about a new chipper/shredder I purchased. I waited a couple minutes for someone to answer and was offered the option of a call-back, which I chose. I got a call back from GXi within five minutes. The customer service person was very nice and answered all of my questions. I have one of their chipper/shredders and I feel the quality and performance is excellent so I am buying another one.

I bought this mower in late May - and have yet to be able to use it to mow my lawn, in mid September.3 weeks to ship..Mower arrived with grass in the deck, dulled blades, and drove erratically on the flat ground - not at all uphills.. List of half a dozen issues with it before I sent it back for warranty repair... They had it a month, never called to tell me what was going on until it was ready for pickup.. $290 repair for worn out parts not covered by warranty. I put 5 hrs on that thing hoping it would smooth out and become usable. How does 5 hrs of use wear out drive belts and cause transmissions to require tuning and readjustment? (They said it was due to trash and mud packed in the pulleys and bearings causing wear over time... over 5 hrs?)And how does a new mower come with dull blades that dont cut, and a deck packed with grass?Beware the GXI 48 business hour response time - thats 5-6 days given theyre only open 9 hrs/day.I am returning the mower and will /never/ do business with these Shysters again. I am also informing Stanley Tools of the behavior of their reseller, as it tarnishes their brand reputation.

Very bad customer service! This company doesnt do any franchisees making you buy parts directly from them! Which allows them to Mark the parts to ridiculously high prices! I do not recommend any of their products to anybody! Find a company that works for the small business owner with franchisees willing to help and work through your equipment problems!

This company sucks bad. what ever you order it will take 25 days to get it even though I ordered from Home Depot on line and they said 2 and a half weeks. if you tr to call GXI most of the time they dont answer and if they do thy give you the runaround. they say they build everything in house. I dont believe that. its most likely coming from china and they are waiting on it themselves. you can also choose to have them call you back. almost every time they they call back and the phone will ring one time and then they hing up. REALLY!! So, I havent gotten my order yet so Im not sure if the 36 inch brush hog is good or not but based on the companys lack of professional sales and getting thing out the door, I will never order anything from this company again. I would also advise Home Depot to remove them from their vendors list. Sorry Home Depot. but this has coast me a lot of money and my costumer is pist because Im not getting jobs done.

I bought a wood chipper from Home Depot made by GXi. It was great at chipping butter, but not strong enough for anything else. So my impression of GXi is that they make inferior equipment.Adding insult to injury, the customer service department at GXi is nonexistent. The customer service representative, Darlene, returned by emails weeks after I sent them even after I asked for simple replys letting me know that she received my emails.I cant think of a time in recent memory where both product and service were so suspect.

Recently purchaded a DEK 8000 generator. Came in original packaging that had never been opened but a hole was noticed in side of box. Upon opening, found the alternator end cap to be damaged. Battery was completely dead but unit started with recoil. Called GXi for a replacement end cap (plastic part) and new battery. Customer service was rude and would not help me solve the situation or take any responsibilty for their product. They basically told me that i was on my own and that the product was out of warrenty even though the unit had never been used. I am a former business owner and i would never treat any customer like that. If workmanship failed from my company, i always made it right and would not charge customers additional fees no matter how long from purchase. I would highly recommend not purchasing or dealing with this company.

I bought a Brushmaster Beast chipper shredder from Home Depot about 3 years ago. I have only used it about 7-8 times. I tried to use it and as I was chipping, the plastic cooling blower wheel flew apart & disintegrated into tiny pieces. I contacted GXI because the part isnt listed on the website. They told me the only part I could order was the entire engine for $600 to get what may be a $30 part. The supervisor claimed to have an engineering degree but couldnt understand what a cooling blower is. She told me to take a picture of it even though I told her it was a pile of tiny bits. This picture dialogue went on for many iterations & she could not wrap her mind around the fact there was nothing identifiable to take a picture of. I emailed them a picture of the flywheel and housing and a sample photo from another manufacturer with my case number, and so far just crickets. Not even an acknowledgment they received my email.

I would NEVER recommend buying ANYTHING from this company to ANYONE even my worst enemy. I purchased the Brushmater 3 in. Dia 270cc Feed, Unique and Versatile 3-in-1 Discharge, Chromium Chipper Shredder chipper on June 6 2017 and it would not start. I called the GXI warranty and went through the steps to get it to a service center. I live in Denver, CO and it took them until July 16th to find a service center in my area. Once picked up the service center said the air filter was installed upside down and the gas was bad. GXI refused to pay for the service because of the bad gas. THE REASON THE GAS WAS BAD WAS BECAUSE IT SAT FOR OVER 30 DAYS WAITING FOR THEM TO FIND A SERVICE CENTER!!!! I was finally able to get them to agree to pay for 1/2 the charges and it is now October and they still have not sent the $40 to the service center so I am still without a $600 chipper I paid for in June. I have spoke with customer service there SEVERAL times and they fail to see how this is a problem. I WILL NEVER EVER BY ANYTHING MADE BY THE COMPANY EVER AGAIN. I have never been treated so poorly in my life.

I have a Stanley CH5 wood chipper. The shaft that holds the choke valve is made of plastic and broke after 5 or 6 uses. I call GXI to get the 50 cent piece of plastic to replace it and they told me I could only purchase a new carburetor. This obviously didnt make me happy, but I bought a new carburetor for $75. I started the chipper exactly twice, and the plastic shaft broke again in exactly the same spot. GXi refused to do anything for me. They have no warranty on replacement parts. They said the carburetor could have been installed wrong. The piece that broke is internal and is assembled when you get it from them. 2 nuts hold the carburetor on. It cant be installed wrong. I will never by another piece of equipment from them. Horrible, horrible customer server.

This company knowingly sells products that break after very little use. Getting warrantied replacement parts usually requires a BBB complaint, and getting a refund is impossible. GXI scammed me out of $4600.00, and they have scammed many others. Search GXI complaints and youll see what a terrible company they are. They deserve a class action lawsuit for their practices.

I purchased a Stanley 30SS snow blower already assembled but had to get a technician to re-adjust a lot of things before it could work. I misplaced the safety key and it took 3 weeks to get a replacement at $25 a piece. 10 months later the chute fell off while snow blowing and their service department is the worst I have ever dealt with. Getting them to repair the machine is like hell. Please do not purchase any product from this company.

Absolutely terrible customer service and a crappy product. Customer service never picks up the phone. I bought a 36 snow beast snow blower, had to readjust everything on it to work. Chewed up belts the second it started. Sheared a worm gear in the auger gear box last winter, ordered part on June 17 after they told me they have it in stock. Its November 9th now and still no part. Keep giving me the runaround over and over and over again. Unfortunately other manufacturers parts are not interchangeable on this product, so they have me by the you know what. Im getting close to ripping the motor off this snowblower that cost over $1600 3 years ago and make a go kart out of it. I would never never never never ever buy another Beast product, or do business with GXI Outdoor Power Again!!!!PS...Its not an american made product. Only assembled in America, the parts come from China, which is ultimately the holdup on shipping I guess. Although i can and have bought products on Ebay from China and always receive items in less than 2 weeks. So why its been 5 months is beyond absurd.

DO NOT buy any of these products. I bought a Z-Beast 48 zero turn mower and it broke in 1.5 hours. Service center, paid for by GXI, told me to get my money back. They also told GXI to give me my money back. I contacted GXI 2 weeks ago and their response was Management is involved. 2 weeks of daily e-mails and calls have resulted in no contact from GXI. Meanwhile, I have no mower and I am out $2,253.73. Horrible product and horrible service. I wanted to buy Made in America but it was a sad mistake.
