This location recently opened in fall of 2020 in the rapidly growing area of Johnston countys Flowers Plantation community.Directly across the street is a Harris Teeter store, so now residents have the choice of two high quality grocers.My initial visit was shortly after the grand opening. As expected with a brand new store everything was pristine. But above that the service was amazing. From the greeters at the door, to the counter people, to the cashiers my experience was 5 star.One of the workers took time to speak to me about the area since Im relatively new. He explained the new developments in the community and answered many questions I had about the new store.On my next visit I tried the deli hot bar. They have a 5.99 one entree, two-side special Thats one of the best deals in town (mine was fish, onion rings and corn).Excellent store, great quality offerings and service... highly recommended.

Loved the layout of this store. Wide variety of products. Nice deli, soup and sushi bar. Wonderfully fresh produce.. Just wish it was closer to me. But worth the drive on an occasional basis.

I love Publix. This place is the best. Large variety of food and very organized. Everyone here is super nice and prices are not absurd. They even have an eating spot upstairs for take out food that was bought from here.

Best customer service around. All the staff are friendly and very helpful. The shelves are well stocked and fronted. They carry some unique items and have great produce and meat selections. We drive 20 minutes to shop here we like it so much.

New store, clean inside. Decent customer service. However, every time we check out, there is always the issue of the sales price not being reflected correctly at the register. This is every time we come here, not a one off thing. So much so that we have to take pictures of the prices so we can show the cashier. This is really frustrating. This does not happen at Harris teeter. Overall selection is good, but in my opinion the Harris teeter has better quality selection hot food.

The nicest people work there. I went to pick up some meds for a friend and bought some other things. They have deli foods made to order and even sushi I dont prefer but others do. It is in a construction site off 42 near Clayton.and its worth finding and going to.they have everything you need today and for tomorrow.

Being from FL, Publix is the supermarket to go. For over 20 years weve being customers. Their products are fresh, they are extremely clean and they have the best customer service in their field.

I have to say, we had a truly awesome experience at Publix last night!! We didnt realize they closed at 9🤦🏼‍♀️ we got there just before 9 and had a LARGE sub order (very hard working & hungry moving guys and our family) - 12 subs! I asked if they were still making sandwiches because they were cleaning they smiled as said of course! I told them it was a lot, Nicole saw the list in my hand and asked if she could just read off of it.Nicole and Kayla are absolute ROCK STARS!! They cranked out all the subs with smiles and talking to us, laughing, they were incredible! We dont dont realize they closed at 9 until we were at the register (2 more happy, smiling men!) We apologized and made sure everyone knew how appreciative we were and his absolutely wonderful everyone there was!Thank you Publix!! And thank you Nicole and Kayla!! You saved the day for all of us last night! We all got the fuel we all needed to finish unloading the trucks (until midnight 🤦🏼‍♀️) 💗

Paid over $4 for a large popcorn chicken and the guy at the desk barely gave me 1/2 a container! Seriously! Check your prepared food items to make sure they are giving you what you paid for!

The staff are courteous and helpful. The store is clean and will stocked most of the time. It is expensive to shop Publix. Inflation has driven our $130 a week grocery shopping trip up to over $250. Publix doesnt have great sales on the things you use most but the convenience is worth something to us.

Its been a little over a month of opening as I write this so, take it with a grain of salt. Its a lovely place, they have ready to eat food, and over by the bathroom there is a set of stairs leading to an upstairs seating area with tables. It looks and feels larger than the Harris teeter making it sometimes hard to find things.

I visited Publix today to get a few items. I noticed a dog in a car. The temperature today is 86 degrees. I told the customer service desk about the dog and explained radiant heat. I purchased my items and noticed on the way to my car the dog in the hot car. I then spoke to a manager that said she would make an announcement but she couldnt break the windows on the car. I should have contacted animal control. Obviously Publix doesnt care for the welfare of animals. Ill be shopping elsewhere.

All it and including produce are neatly stacked and shelving is clean, lovely bakery area and flowers. Frequent overpriced in general and I only try to find my international and specialty items. They are limited but sometimes they have what I need which can help me not drive 25 miles to get what I need for my cooking show recipes.

Beautiful store. So clean and organized. I look forward to being a regular shopper there as im moving that way. Staff were friendly . shelves were stocked and enjoyed the deli subs and variety of deli foods offered. Pleasant shopping experience.

I love this store! Its very clean and organized. Everyone who works there is super nice. Yes, they are a little more pricey, but the quality is great and if you use coupons that helps. Subs are amazing. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because their produce section is surprisingly small with limited options.

Try their fried chicken fam meal, their subs and their buy one get one deals. The employees are so welcoming, helpful & efficient. Jeremy in the meat department was super helpful. Store is insane clean. If a bogo sale stock is empty, go to customer service and get a rain check. If a meat selection is too large, the staff will repackaged it to make the item smaller and lower the price. They core pineapples for free. They take competitor coups. You can add manufacturer coups with Publix store coups for deals that cannot be had elsewhere. I

This is my favorite store. I drive from Dunn to shop here. Awesome looking meat and seafood, tons of veggies, and a lot of items I typically cant find at any other market. I love their BOGO deals. If you know prices and take advantage of their sales, you can make out like a bandit.

This is the nicest grocery store Ive ever been to. Every single time I go, the employees are so pleasant and help me with anything I need, even going so far as to grab me some diet cokes I had forgotten while I was at the register. Amazing customer service, such a breath of fresh air.

Everybody knows that Publix has the best customer service, hands down. But come on, where do you find these people? Walking into this store is like walking into the town of Pleasantville. Ive never had a better grocery store experience than I have at this particular Publix. The people here are so freaking nice. Everybody speaks to you, and everybody is willing to help. If somebody doesnt know an answer, they find it for you. They will stop what they are doing to help you find what you need. Ive shopped at a bunch of Publix stores, and Ive even worked for Publix, but this store takes the cake. I dont know how you give anything other than a five-star review for this store. Prices can be overlooked with a shopping experience like this. Ignore any negative comments from the Flowers Plantation Karens. This is the place you want to shop!

Publix is always customer friendly, but I have to give a special shout out to Victor, the sushi chef. He is amazing. Makes great sushi. If I ask for something special he always makes it with a smile and quickly. It is great to be able to go to the grocery store and get great sushi. Very pleasantly surprised by my experience with this Publix. Staff is very helpful and courteous. One thing I recently discovered is the cafe area on the second floor mezzanine. Get some food from the hot bar or deli and take it upstairs to a clean and comfortable seating area. If you only have a short time for lunch this is a great option.

Place was great. Friendly staff and super clean organized store. Puts all the other grocery stores to shame honestly. I little more expensive but if you want to deal with happy employees this is the place to go. Thanks guys!

Enjoy the cakes the bakery makes, very good flavor variety and options, really convenient to order online for pickup and then to only have to call and an employee will bring it out for you.

Beautiful new clean store. Most employees are trained very well in customer service and are extremely friendly and go out of their way to serve you. Some are just not trainable. No matter how crowded you are always able to check out quickly. Sale prices are very good and lure you into the store, however non-sale items are sometimes double that of a store like Walmart or at least 25% higher than Food Lion or Teeter. One thing they do is in the deli if they are out of whatever deli meat you want, even if they have more in the case they leave it there for display and go in the back for a new one. This seems to happen a lot and they do this when there is a line of people waiting at the deli. Just use the one in the case and replace it when youre done serving the people.

I placed an order for my birthday cake on 1/13/2020 for my dinner party on 1/17/2020. On the morning of my party, I was contacted by the bakery stating that they didn’t have the fondant to make my bow and they were trying to see if another store location had it. Long story short, it was too late to cancel my order so I told them I didn’t want anything on top if they were unable to get it (fondant). I had my sister pick up the cake and unfortunately she didn’t open the box. Just know that when it was time for my guest to sing happy birthday and I revealed the cake, I cried. Thanks for ruining my birthday.

Great grocery shopping atmosphere. Store is always fully stocked. Staff is professional and welcoming. If you need help to your car it is always offered.

I feel welcome all the time at this Publix and enjoy the subs. When I go to get my subs Kayla Stanfield in Delia always makes sure my sandwiches come out amazing and always serves with a smile…they don’t make employees of that caliber anymore

Its a really nice supermarket, but rather pricey, unless you buy items that are on sale. Publix is an upscale supermarket, on par with Harris Teeter and Lowes Foods, but Id rather save $$$ and shop at Food Lion, Walmart, Adli or Lidl. I have compared prices, for example a box of Cheez-It crackers, 12.4 oz, has an everyday price of $2.54 at Walmart, but the exact same box of Cheez-Its at Harris Teeter is $4.99, what a ripoff.

Oh WOW! This was my first visit to Publix and I was extremely impressed! The prices were fantastic...WITH NO CARDS. Everyone gets the same great deals. The employees were knowledgeable and friendly. The store was spotless!! I think I found my go to grocery store!! GREAT JOB!!!

Prices are competitive, inventory is always fresh and well-stocked. We purchased fresh shrimp at the meat and seafood counter and it was absolutely the best tasting, freshest we ever purchased from a grocery store!Even if the parking lot looks full, we have never had to wait more than a few minutes for our purchases to be checked, bagged and we are on our way.Publix accepts many competitors coupons, and they always have buy one, get one free sales, for which you can choose to get just one of those items for half-price in most cases.The employees here are SO very helpful and make being a Publix customer an exceptional experience.After constantly trying so many different grocery stores with ho-hum results, we have found our favorite.Publix in Clayton, we THANK YOU for providing us a clean, well-stocked, reasonably priced and customer-friendly choice. The fried chicken was so good we came back twice. So were the onion rings, and the shrimp was also amazing. Everything was accessible and very easy to find.

The team there is so very welcoming. Loving how someone stands at the doors to wipe carts down as a courtesy. Their selections of food items is great. Love the fresh meats. Deli is great and carry my favorite brand Boars Head.Sushi has been perfect on multiple occasions! They will even make you a custom roll.

Every time Ive been here so far its been a great experience. Love the wide selection. Great deli meats. The employees are always really nice and helpful. They even offer to help you take the groceries to the car, which was really helpful when I had all my kids (one with his own mini shopping cart). I still go other places for certain items, but Im becoming more and more of a fan.

Don’t use their pick up services. I’ve used them twice and shame on me for using it the second time. The first time was during the height of the pandemic when I ordered through their store app (aka the Publix app) they said they couldn’t find my order. After 20 minutes of waiting and telling them I went through their app (with my 8 month old in the back seat) they finally LISTENED to what I was saying and found my order, that I used their app, not Instacart to purchase. That was about a year ago.Now I guess everything is through instacart. Today I did my second pick up thinking it had to have improved and it seemed seamless until I got home and looked on my app and saw that they charged me for 5 cartons of lactaid milk. I only ordered and came home with 2. There was no paper receipt to look at either. When I called them to address it they said that they couldn’t do anything about it because Instacart does all of the curbside orders (even though their employees do the picking and charging). Or I could waste another hour and that much gas to come back for a refund. They also don’t care to look at when things go bad or expire. Some of my items expire in less than a week. And if you want their fresh produce you are better off going in to get it yourself.

Beware their subs. Always running out of whatever meat you choose. Don’t know the first thing about making one using flatbread. Lastly you can use the hairs they leave in you subs to floss with when done.

Some great products, friendly staff. Clean store, but, its a pandemic- everywhere HAS to be top-notch clean. Quite a few overpriced items but they also have certain items not found in other grocery stores, that are at a decent price. Wish there was more organic produce... And at decent prices. Other grocery stores in the area have more organic produce at decent prices.

They have everything here, well aside from specifically some obscure baking ingredients, but they even offered to specially procure them for me which was helpful. Staff are equally as friendly, and the sub-sandwich stop is delicious. The store has a good variety and the food is always fresh.A few things they could consider (not specific to this 1 store), for a 5th star:Ive tried several of their Publix-brand foods and they all fell well below the taste-mark from brand-name versions - quite bland in comparison. Also, the deli-made dishes like potato or chix salads are tasty, but too pricey. A take-home alfredo chicken dish also had way too little sauce so when cooked, it came out very dry (even when mixed).

Love this place! The employees do an awesome job. Love their efforts towards community involvement. The teachers at my school loves this Publix grocery store.

All of the employees are very nice and helpful each time I visit.. However, when I went today, Seth, who made my sub, was an even bigger delight! He was extremely friendly, professional, made good recommendations, and apologized for my short wait. Will definitely be returning.

Nice clean and organized place. Every employee i walked by said hello and looked ready to help. I will definitely continue my shopping at this store. I also get my prescriptions at the pharmacy here. The pharmacist here very nice and was willing to answer all my questions and made sure i was set before i left.

I really enjoy the Store! It has many selections & different variety of items. The bakery was great as always. Bakery is small but the different varietys of choices are fantastic! The workers at Publix are very pleasant & clean. My favorite item in the Deli is Meatball sub. In the bakery its Key Lime Pie.

I was beyond excited when they put a Publix in Clayton and we spend a lot of time there! Best grocery store out there. Their subs are delicious, their bakery is top notch and they have a great selection of groceries. The store is always clean and their staff is so friendly and helpful. We love going to Publix.

Publix Went Above and Beyond. Im 62 and (prior to this visit) beginning to wonder if customer service was a thing of the past. My first trip to Publix made me a loyal customer. I cook most dishes from scratch. The produce was fresh, colorful, and cheaper than the other markets in the area. When I inquired if they carried potato starch and buttermilk powder, they did not. Unbelievably, they checked a competitor website, ran and purchased the items while I continued my shopping at Publix. The employee did not act inconvenienced. He was genuine and said it was his pleasure. Thank you for the best shopping experience Ive had in a long time! You made my day!

Me and my husband came to Publix tonight for the first time. Im allergic to dairy and was blown away by how many options they had that are dairy free. The store was so clean and organized. The customer service was out of this world! Huge shout out to Nick for showing us around and telling us all about publix and different things they offer that we can benefit from! This is our new spot. Joe even came out and got our cart from us as we were leaving. We were blown away with how kind everyone in there was. So genuine! We will be returning if not for the awesome products, for the awesome people who work there!

I’ve seen much better Publix stores. Meat department is weak. Hardly any meat and seafood to choose from in the case. They pretty much pre-package all their steaks so you don’t have the option to go up and select your own cuts. On a Saturday they had zero cocktail shrimp in the case. Bakery is lacking. Overall selection is poor.

This store has the best customer service of any Publix I’ve ever shopped. It wasn’t overly crowded, the shelves were nicely stocked and the employees were so friendly and helpful. By far the best grocery store in this area.

Store is amazing, and the customer service is one of the best I’ve seen, but when I was talking to the lady on the phone(never got her name) about if Publix was hiring or not, she just said no we’re not and hung up. Didn’t get to ask her anything else or say thank you. But I’m giving it a 4 star because there better than that.

This was a very new store in North Carolina I just wished it would have been closer to the place that we were visiting but it was well worth the drive all the people there were great very beautiful store now Publix needs to put a store near Goldsboro...

This is a revised review of Publix since their grand opening several months ago. When they first opened there was, apparently, a period of adjustment to season in new employees in the brand new store. Recently, the employees I encountered were all polite and fairly well informed. The prices, although higher than many other markets, are discounted without having to join a club and carry a card when on sale. Discounts are given to all sales items at the register. Publix may not be as large as some, but their selection of goods is more than sufficient to stock the pantry. The is a specialty area named, YUM, where they offer various sandwiches and subs which is one of my favorite assets. They stack sandwiches with plenty of ingredients for a reasonable price and I find is a good option for lunch or for those who are looking for something nutritious and prepared without having to cook.
