I have wanted to but a sub in my Ram 1500 for about a year and decided to stop by Adrenaline Autosound on the way back from a beach trip solely because of reviews provided by other customers. I don’t remember seeing a business with perfect scores before so I kinda wanted to see if the business was virtually perfect or not (spoiler alert - it is). I spoke with Dave about what would be the best fit for what I was wanting and he was super knowledgeable, patient, professional, and just an all around good person. After leaving his store, I knew without a doubt that I would put in the 4 hours of total drive time to have him install my sub (2 x 2hr round trip). Picked up my truck today and it sounds great. Dave gave awesome recommendations on where things should be placed (sub, bass knob, etc.) and walked me through his installation process. I could not be happier. No longer gets ear-piercing with distortion at higher volumes, and no longer missing that low-end punchy bass that I knew would make it sound so much better.I used to install my own car audio back in the day and always found myself tweaking it because, there was always something off.Now I know it was because I was an amateur and having a professional install has made it so much better. Im not constantly adjusting anymore because its already perfect.During my daily commute, Im going to be moving over to the right lane and driving slower so I can enjoy the music longer.It is like a massage for my ears every time I get in my car.My gas mileage already improved, though I might end up using more gas because Im going to find more excuses to drive now. :)I absolutely love it!

I was referred to Adrenaline by a supplier whom I had purchased a sub kit from that wasnt fully vetted and needed a bit of TLC to get it working. Dave worked me into the schedule within a couple days and took care of the problem right away. He was super professional and easy to work with, his attention to detail was obvious from speaking with him. He even keeps client cars in the back, away from the other business customers so that they dont ding them up on the way to those places. Overall, would recommend highly and worth the drive from Raleigh or the surrounding areas.

DAVE IS AMAZING!!!!!! Do yourself a favor and dont think twice! My husband has been unimpressed with his stock F-150 sound system for a while and was looking for an upgrade. I researched local installers and found Adrenaline Autosound based on the stellar reviews. I called and spoke to Dave and explained that my husband wasnt happy and was looking for something similar to the stock ELS sound system in my car. Dave took over 30 minutes to discuss our needs, his recommendations and the process in great detail, answering every question I had (and ones I didnt know I had). He took the time to clearly explain and set me at ease. I took the truck to him so he could check it out and give us a better idea of what to expect and what he recommended. He gave me three options (good, better, best) and was completely transparent about all costs, timelines and what to expect. I contacted Dave Evans of Adrenaline Autosound in October 2020 about replacing the factory head unit in my 2012 Honda Accord. He spent a lot of time offering me several options, explaining their features, answering my questions, and writing up a couple of quotes. Let me say from the outset that I couldnt recommend Dave Evans more highly. I have a background in Audio. I sold medium to high end home and car audio equipment for the better part of 15 years (early 90s to mid 2000s) and knew I wanted a sub, a separate 3 way system up front, and discrete amplification for all channels. Having visited a few retailers, who all gave me quotes within 10 minutes, I stumbled upon Adrenaline Autosounds website. Daves credentials are not easy to come by, so I gave him a call and made the 2 hour drive to Clayton. Heres what was different. Dave asked a lot of questions...what kind of music....SPL vs sound quality....what I had before - what I liked and didnt like about it...and finally budget. He was honest enough to tell me my budget would not bring about the desired results. He could work within my budget, and deliver a nice sounding system, but it probably would not meet my expectations (based on what I had before). Ultimately I went with audiofrog GB series speakers and a Musway DSP (yes, I raised my budget). Dave was very conscientious and generous with his time during the tuning process. Old audio guys are not always the easiest to please. On first listen, I was a little disappointed in the mid-bass performance (personal preference). After a few clarifying questions, Dave pulled the car back in, and 30 minutes later delivered exactly what I was looking for. Was it worth the drive and investment, absolutely! Daves pricing was in line with every other retailer, but no other retailer had his experience and expertise. Again, I couldnt recommend Dave Evans and Adrenaline Autosound more highly!!!

Just a short review for Dave at Adrenaline. I am in the process of going with hardbags on my harley and was inquiring about the best method of speaker mounting. I have to mention that Dave replied to 2 of my emails and spoke with me in length on the phone twice about different options for my desired outcome (lid vs inside panel). I was looking for a place to install a light bar for my Avalanche, their price was good and their availability was good timing for me. Resolved a complex electrical issue in a timely fashion. 3 camera system was locked on left camera. Left turn signal activates left and right turnsignal at the same time. Dash left turn constantly on. Thank you Dave.

I am completely shocked by this business. I sent a message requesting a quote for the installation of an audio system. In my request I listed all the equipment I have and what I want installed. Each piece of equipment is brand new and purchased from the manufacturers authorized dealer (online or brick). I even have the receipts to verify if necessary Their response was basically no they wouldnt install the equipment because I didnt come to them for their recommendation and purchasing through their store. To be such a highly rated store and installer I am disappointed to not even provide a quote. Ive finally settled down in an area and was looking for a company I could trust for these types of installations and thought Adrenaline Autosound would be that place. I guess not!!!

When it comes to car audio, there’s no question about it that these guys are the experts. Coming back from a deployment I was looking for a reputable shop to add some base to my Audi while also giving me a nice display when the trunk was open. Previously, I worked with a different shop and the end result left a lot to be desired. With this build I was looking for superb quality. I also had a specific amount of trunk space that I wanted to retain. Dave worked with me sketching several designs. The end result turned out amazing. The enclosure is stout and I have no concerns about it moving or working its way loose. The combination of materials far exceeded my expectations. They built a protective insert that I can pop in when desired to protect some of the more flashy components of the sub enclosure in the event I want to add cargo to the trunk. This protective inserts looks so good that I normally just leave it on. Dave and Brandon were also a complete joy to work with. I initially phoned Dave in order to interview him, something I did with several other shops in order to determine who would get my business. Dave and I spoke for over 30 minutes and he took the time to answer all of my questions in great detail. I paid a pretty penny, but the end result is night and day from what I experienced with the last car audio shop I went with. This is an accommodation he made so that work could begin on my car right away as I was still deployed at the time.And lastly, and this is what prompted me to finally write a review…I unknowingly knocked a wire loose which caused me to lose power to my amp. I couldn’t figure out what the issue so I called up the shop to see if they could squeeze me in the following day. They were willing to work my schedule, took care of the issue and didn’t even charge me for it. You won’t get better service than this.

Dave is the best, hands down. He is a nice guy who stands behind his work. I couldnt be more happy with the installation and tuning he did for me. If you have a newer car with a manufacturers upgraded sound system and youre just not happy with that, take it to adrenaline!

I recently had a stereo system installed in my Dodge Ram by Dave and the guys at Adrenaline Autosound.The system sounds excellent, as Dave promised it would, and I the whole experience from picking out hardware, to picking up the truck, was smooth and painless.Daves knowledge of car audio is umatched. Unfortunately, lots of hops focus on how loud they can make a car boom, and not the sound quality. It was refreshing to work with someone who understood what I was looking for in a car audio system.

I recently went to Adrenaline Autosound to have the standard system replaced in my Jeep. The goal was to provide more low end and these guys did not disappoint. The end result is fantastic sound, a clean install and so much clear, loud low end that it vibrates the entire cab. I listen to all types of music, but mainly Rock. However, since this install Ive been listening to more Rap and Hip Hop because the lows sound SOOOOOO good.I could go on and on about the quality of the parts, but any shop can install quality parts. What youll be hard pressed to find is a shop that will provide you with better support and service than Adrenaline Autosound. Im not talking about the sale. Yes, they did a fantastic job of presenting me with options based on my budget. I spent time in their shop listening to various hardware combinations and letting them paint a picture for me of how they could address my needs. But what was most impressive was the support I received after the install. My setup had bugs. There was an issue with the Jeep steering wheel controls communicating with the particular head unit under certain circumstances. This was not something Adrenaline could have known about ahead of time and was very specific to how I was using the system. However, Adrenaline took complete responsibility for the issue. Never in any customer service situation have I seen a more dedicated response to solving an issue that had nothing to do with the quality of the installation. There were hours of research followed by well crafted, caring emails to help diagnose and address the my issue. Where most shops would have gone radio-silent, AA was emailing me faster than I could respond. In the end the only solution was to swap out a piece of hardware to which AA ate the cost. I cant say enough great things about this shop. You will NOT find service like this anywhere else.

I have been wanting to upgrade the speakers in my car for a while now. I did what most people would do and I bought the cheapest thing I could find. I took it to get installed at best buy and one of the subwoofers was defective and the other barely made any sound. The installer there convinced me that the amp had a safety shut off mode so that it wouldnt damage anything. I called the manufacturer about it and he said the amp didnt have anything like that. So after that wonderful experience going cheap, and losing money in the process, my friend referred me to Adrenaline Autosound. This was the best decision I have ever made for my car. EVER. I called their Master Installer, Dave, and talked for a moment about coming in and looking at some new equipment. The first thing I noticed when I walked in the door was all the quality speakers, it was such a relief. With a smile on his face, Dave came out and welcomed me and showed me around. After we discussed for a second, he handed me over to his audio specialist, Tommy. They treated me as their only customer and got me set up with the best sounding audio set up I had ever heard. I was almost sure I knew what I wanted until they all talked to me and explained how to get the most of your equipment. Dave and Ollie, the other extremely well experienced installer, will do whatever it takes to make sure everything works flawlessly and to your expectations. They also fixed the alarm system on my car, where I wouldve spent twice at the dealership. I have my amazing audio equipment locked up safe in my car now. The ride home from Adrenaline was the best ride home I have ever had. I look forward to each moment I get to drive somewhere, knowing that I get to listen to the incredible music and make all my friends freak out when they hear it too. All my cars are coming hear from now on. If you are in the market for speakers, or anything else regarding electronics, you NEED to make it a priority to go here. Wanted to replace my CD changer with an Alpine touchscreen Apple CarPlay system and these guys did an awesome job for me! Have been using it for about a month now and have zero complaints. The install was seamless and they did a great job with the little things I asked for as well — screen looks great, microphone installed above the rear view mirror, steering wheel buttons wired into the system/Siri enabled and a hard-wired USB charging port. Plus they did it all in a couple hours one morning while I waited. Couldn’t ask for better!

Excellent products and customer service. Brandon helped me decide on a pair of subs and built a vented enclosure to fit in the back of my jeep. People say its hard to get a lot of bass out of a Jeep Wrangler but this thing slams hard! If you want quality car audio and professional installation you need to pay these guys a visit.

I drove 2 hours to Adrenaline to have the stereo system from my last truck installed into my new truck. Before even starting Dave, did a walk around on my truck with me and recommended custom installation ideas that I never thought of. Many thanks to Dave and Olly for the great work they did. Most places will cut corners and not care about looks or sound if you dont buy your components from them. Not these guys; truck sounds awesome and the install is superb. Not only did they do a great job at the install with no questions asked, they stayed an hour and half past their closing time to finish my truck for me. I would definitely recommend these guys for your next stereo upgrade, complete system, or alarm. When Im ready to upgrade my wifes car, Im definitely making the drive up to these guys.

I had a system installed in my 2016 Cadillac ATS-V is 2016 from this shop. I had specific requirements and asked a lot of questions before dropping off my car. Dave was so patient with me and explained everything in such great detail that even I understood it lol. I was so impressed over the last 3 years with a trouble free system but what impressed me even more was what I wasnt able to see. I just sold the car, btw I drove about 250 miles just to go to Adrenaline, I had the system removed by a local shop and they just couldnt stop praising Adrenaline for how PERFECT this installation was. They admitted that they often bash other shops but after seeing this install they will be revamping some of their own practices.The 250 mile drive was definitely a struggle on me but my new car will be there asap.Thanks Adrenaline for such an amazing experience other the last 3 years. I recently went back to Adrenaline Autosound for rear speaker install on my FJ Cruiser. This SUV does not have ideal spots for rear speakers. Dave was able to do some custom work on the rear pillars that completely exceeded my expectations. And when my original speaker choice didnt quite fit right, Dave called me with an even better option that worked better than original plan..He worked around my budget and replied (at length) to all my rookie questions. Once again, AA provided an install that sounds awesome and looks even better!You will not get better service ANYWHERE for your auto needs than with Dave and Adrenaline Autosound! 5+ Stars!

Adrenaline Autosound did an amazing job with our 2011 MV-1.Since we bought the vehicle new weve complained about the extremely poor audio system (an almost complete lack of sound dampening). Its something weve wanted to upgrade for a while. We also wanted to add a backup camera.I first talked to Brandon. I was really impressed with his enthusiasm for tackling something new, as well as his ideas for how to make it better. He went into great detail about the quality of the materials they would use (there was going to be some custom fabrication required and he wanted to make sure it looked original and was done right). He also demoed some speaker options and everything he showed us sounded great.After checking out a couple of other local custom install shops, I was sold on Adrenaline Autosound. They werent necessarily the least expensive, but they also didnt sound like they just wanted to turn out another job. They were going to make sure everything was done right and were excited for a new challenge. Also, going in, I knew I wanted a permanently mounted camera (one that looked factory, and not one screwed to the top of the license plate). Brandon totally understood and had the perfect solution. One of the other shops I checked out tried to tell me all the reasons why screwing it to the top of the license plate was a better option, when I really think it was just easier for them.I then followed up with a second conversation with Dave and was equally impressed. We actually added onto the project a bit, namely to include an amplifier with DSP, and thats when things got rolling.Another big plus, Brandon and Dave were also willing to work with us to minimize the amount of time we were without the vehicle, which really meant a lot. An MV-1 is a bit unique in that it is the only vehicle that comes from the factory fully wheelchair accessible. Anytime without my vehicle is time that Im stuck at home. They actually did the job in two steps. The first took a couple of days for disassembly and installation of most of the speakers, amplifier, head unit and backup camera. We then picked up the vehicle and during the time that we had it back, Brandon worked on the custom panels for the front door speakers (the MV-1 doesnt come with front door speakers, so they fabricated custom panels and ordered a specific vinyl covering that perfectly matched the color and texture of the surrounding plastic OEM door panel).We then went back for one more day of installation where the door panels were fitted and the DSP presets were programmed. The first time getting into the vehicle to hear everything was amazing. I am familiar with DSP in terms of home theater, but was truly blown away with the application in a vehicle. When working with a home theater, you dont necessarily have multiple location presets (at least not in my home application), but Brandon programmed presets for the passenger seat (where I sit) and a general preset (in addition to a valet setting). It sounded so amazing I asked him if he minded adding another preset for the driver seat, so my wife could enjoy the difference. Which he was happy to do.Basically, when youre sitting in a seat of focus, the music sounds like it is coming from right around your head. When changing it to the general preset (meant to sound good from any seat) the sound almost feels like it moves out to the corners of the car. It was crazy.On the last long trip we took my wife just kept commenting about how there were parts of songs she had forgotten were there. The speakers and the set up really bring out the best of any type of music we listen to.All sounds, and looks, amazing!

Adrenaline Autosound is the BEST car audio shop around. These guys are not only Master Installers, but they TRULY care about their customers, not just taking their hard earned money, and they pay very close attention to detail. If you have been skeptical about spending money with your local audio shop, look no further because you will be in the BEST hands and you wont have to worry about the work not being done to the highest standards. Trust me, I have gone through enough of that. Dave and Brandon have remedied countless problems Ive had from a previous install in my vehicle to get it up to higher standards and they also installed new equipment into my other vehicle. If you read some other reviews you will notice Im not the only one whos had a bad experience at another shop and had to come here to get it installed the right way. I recommend that you call these guys the next time you want to get any aftermarket equipment installed in your vehicle, so it can get done right the first time.

I have always been a do-it-yourself kind of person. I previously (years ago) repaired and installed car audio as a professional. I have issues trusting anyone to do work on my car, especially after many of the terrible things I have seen (and fixed) from some pro audio shops. After starting on my car with my wife and spending many weekends neck deep in my car, I met my match when it came time to rewire my doors. I had already looked into Adrenaline because I didnt have the materials or time to fabricate what I wanted for my trunk. After reading several reviews here on Google, I felt like I could make a leap of faith with Adrenaline and let them finish my trunk. My original plan was to complete all the wiring and take my vehicle to Adrenaline next year to complete the trunk install. But the door rewiring was the straw that broke the camels back and I decided it was time to hand my car over to some professionals. My wife and I sat down with Dave and went over what I had, what I wanted, the budget, and the schedule. I was looking for some pretty custom stuff (vinyl panels and plexiglass or fiberglass boxes, etc.) Dave worked the numbers and we decided on a very fair price and a reasonable schedule. A few things changed along the way, so the schedule got stretched a little. They ended up having my car for 5 weeks (obviously not a daily driven car). With a perfect score on Google, I had pretty high expectations. When I came in to see the finished result, I was blown away. They didnt stop at 100%. They say theyre not satisfied until they get to 110%. Overall, Id say they went way past 110%. On top of building me a show car trunk, they tuned my 3sixty.3 processor. My install looks awesome and sounds awesome. I love showing it off and I have no-issues-at-all giving Adrenaline Autosound all the credit they deserve. Bottom line is they are the real deal. If you want (or need) car audio or video work done, look no further.

These guys are awesome. Most women have nightmares about dealing with their auto issues since they always think they are about to be taken to the cleaners but these guys were friendly and VERY helpful. Saved me a lot of $$$, I had a remote starter issue that I thought my mechanic caused and took it back to them to fix but of course they didnt see a problem and couldnt help-thought they just didnt want to pay for what they broke. Then even made another move to check out a sound place that wanted to charge just to check if it was a fuse and of course it probably wasnt going to be a fuse issue, I would need to replace the unit costing several hundreds of dollars on a 11yr old car. But I came to Adrenaline and I left with a great Big Smile, a Hug, and my Money in my pocket. They took the time to fix the issue which was minor because it all came down to knowledge. They were familiar with the starter I had, which I had from when I lived in New Jersey and they showed me how to fix it in the future. Something simple-It was set to Valet Mode but had they not been familiar with the product and willing to check it out for me I would be crying now...cause Baby its Cold Outside and a remote starter working is what I needed. I have never been to this shop and I probably will never go to this shop. However, the customer service I received from the team at Adrenaline Autosound far exceeded my expectations. I bought two Audiomobile gts 2112’s from a local shop in Jacksonville Florida where I live and a box. However, when I picked up the order I noticed the subs were 10’s not 12’s. So my local shop said we will build a new bow of the 12’s and get you the subs. The next day I call them to find out what the lead time would be and was informed that they couldn’t get the subs I wanted till June or July. I tried to reach out to Audiomobile that ended in a dead end. I google searched for Audiomobile retailers and came across Adrenaline Autosound and gave them a call. They went out of their way to sell me their last two Audiomobile gts 2112’s and then shipped them to me. They didn’t have to do that and I wouldn’t have been mad if they said we don’t ship products. That was not the case at all and I would highly recommend them to anyone in the their area. If I’m ever in NC and close to their shop I will definitely stop in. Thank you again guys I really do appreciate the help and customer service I received for you all.

I would highly recommend Adrenaline Autosound for your mobile car audio needs. I came to Dave for a total audio overhaul. We replaced the head unit and stock speakers with Focal 6.5 component speakers, Focal 6.5 Coax speakers, Pioneer head unit, JL Audio XD10005V2, and (2) JL Audio 13W3V3 in a custom enclosure. Dave and Brandon did an awesome installation, that far exceeded my expectations. The sound quality is impeccable and the attention to detail is flawless.
