Im absolutely satisfied with my experience here today at Claymont Meineke !I just recovered my car after it had been stolen for about a week and there had been moderate damage to the underside of the vehicle.Kyle and Steve were ASTOUNDING! They repaired the torn heat shield within an hour of my arrival in SPITE of having a heavy work load today already. Whats more? Meineke of Claymont COMPd the repairs out of the goodness of their heart ! 😍😍😍😍Ill definitely keep this shop at the top of my list for maintenance and repair for the future, and Ill share to my local buddies too. YOU GUYS ROCK !!!!

Like other busy individuals, I have no time to waste when my schedule is full. So, when I called Meineke for an appointment, I was not told to bring my car right in. His honesty was valued as they were busy during the time I called. They told me that I could come as early as 8 am the next day if I did not have the time to wait. The next morning I was first in line and had amazing service! Compared to other places, Meineke doesn’t attempt to squeeze everyone into their schedule, for just profit I felt that they understand that if you make your customers happy they will always return for other services.

They broke my oil filter because they didn’t have the correct part to take it off properly.They never even told me straight up that it was broken even as I left the store. I had to find out later.They were trying to convince me that the last people put it on too tight and it was their fault.They still charged me for the oil they used even though they knew I would have to do another oil change right away after I get the problem fixed.It’s really not the money that’s the problem, it’s just that they are dishonest and did a lousy job without fully owning up to it and taking responsibility.I never understood why anyone would take the time out of their day just to write something negative in a google review. Thanks to these guys, I understand.

I was very disappointed that after makingan appointment on line and receiving a coupon the manager said he did not honor his own companys oil change coupon because the price of oil went up. This was after I took a morning off from work to get the work done. I went ahead and got the work done anyway since I was already there and didnt want to take more time off work. I feel this is false advertising, and unless this is made good, I and my multi car family will never use Meineke again. I found nowhere in the email or coupon any small print that some Meineke Centers may not honor their own coupons.

His name is Mike and with the older woman of color before me , when she also asked questions he acted as if we were bothering him.Then he got into it with my son, only asked that he be not disrespectful of me.So I left, I don’t do business with anyone who speaks to me like that. I stopped in to get some assistance opening my hood because the cable is broke. The gentleman at the front was very nice and sent me to a gentleman Kerry(?) with anther nickname πŸ˜€ for help. While working on my hood I decided to go ahead and get my oil changed and spend the money there since they were helping me with my problem. I may have waited 20 minutes before my car pulled up finished. All the men there were very nice, professional and fast. I will definitely be back there!!!

Had to get a ton of lights repaired to pass inspection, all but one fixed the first time. Called back to let them know something bigger was wrong as one of the lights they replaced went out within 30 minutes of leaving. Mike had me come back and they went right to work looking at everything to figure out what went wrong, Im pretty sure every technician had looked at my car at some point! They not only found the broken wiring but went right to fixing it for me at no charge so I can be on my way! Best service Ive ever has when bringing my car in for repairs! Cannot thank everyone enough for how much help they were!!!

They did a custom dual exhaust on my 1966 Impala and it was a real quality job. I came back 2 years later to have new Thrush Welded 2 chamber mufflers that I bought installed and they did a very professional job. The only thing I could suggest they do different would be to paint the steel parts that they welded with a quick can of spray paint to add longer life and a more ascetic look to the job. Other than that I still give them 5 stars.

They wouldnt honor meineke store coupon and it cost me $39.99 for the basic oil change. I feel like I have been bait and switched for an extra $15.

I have used meineke before and have been happy with their service. I have never used this location. So I made an appointment online but didn’t know this location prefers you to call or come in for first come first serve. When we got there they were busy but the guy at the front desk said he would do what he could to get us in and out. I have a daughter who is 8 with ADHD who was off the walls. I was so thankful they were able to bump us to the top and we were in and out with in 25 mins. Fastest oil change I have ever had to wait for. I will definitely go back to this location. I was very happy with my service and how quickly they were able to get us in and out.

Visiting Claymont from NC. Pickup won’t start. AAA roadside can’t figure it out. Call for a tow over to Meineke. They didn’t even have to pull it into a bay. Mechanic just took a couple of minutes to look it over, and in no time had it running.The Shop, waiting area, and washroom were very clean and well maintained. Superior, friendly, professional from start to finish. The β€žService Not Listedβ€œ was manual diagnostic, using his own knowledge and intuition, and crawling up under it there in the parking lot.

I went on the internet and booked an oil change at the Meineke in Claymont, Delaware on Philadelphia Pike. The site said, offers at this location $59.95 full synthetic oil change. The coupon also had this locations address on it. I sent my 16 year old and come to find out he was charged $80. I went and talked to the office guy Steve and he said they dont accept coupons. He said the website says participating. The website does not say that. I told Steve that I would be putting a complaint in with Meineke headquarters. Steves exact words were, they dont care. They do not honor their advertisements and it is fraudulent and misleading advertisement. The manager Steve could of cared less, he was rude and unprofessional.

To sum it all up. I went to this particular shop for a specific reason. I explained what I needed done, asked questions and voiced my concerns. I was ensured everything would be fine and my car would be fixed. Needless to say, every concern I had was valid and I left this shop with my car the same way it was when I brought it and I still was required to pay over 500 dollars in order to get my car. I am only giving one star because I had to hit a start in order to post.

Poor service!!! Customer service is worse than the actual repair. I am disgusted by the shady practices that are performed at this location. The corporate customer service referred me back to the shady location where it all started. Do not go here. I made an appointment for them to fix my blower motor. I dropped the car off and got a call back saying that the oil change has completed. Then I told them that that’s not what the car was there for & what it was I wanted. They said ok we’ll look into it. An hour later they called and said 700$ for them to fix. I said nope put everything back I’m picking my car up. I go to pick it up they wanted to charge me $120 for diagnostic fee on something that I already told them what the issue was. Will be taking this place to small claims court. Avoid going here at all cost!Update!! No response from anyone. I called customer service and they assured me someone would reach out on this matter. No one has. BTW electrical diagnostic fee is 90$ not 120$!!!

I came to this Delaware location because their location in my area that Ive been going to for years unfortunately has been backed up for a month theyre short-staffed and there was nowhere to park and leave my car for a routine oil change. When I got to the new location the gentleman at the front desk greeted us right away and he was very nice despite the amount of people he had waiting in his office for assistant. he gave me an estimated time in which to wait for an oil change for myself and my husband and we were out in a timely manner he was very offering in information of maintenance that we would need in the future and did not try to overwhelm us with too much and we appreciated it. Very pleasant experience I will be returning there for future service!

My car is 13 years old and did not pass the exhaust inspection in Delaware. Due to COVID, my income is limited. The manager worked with me to find a solution that fit my budget and still repaired the leaks. Do not go here. First, I made an online appointment and when I arrived the guy said they dont use that system and he had to see if he could fit me in and they did not honor oil change coupon I added online when I made my appointment. If youre not going to honor coupons, dont put them on the website. I believe they change their prices as needed and they charged too much for a tire rotation. They rotated my tires and when I went to a dealer service for brakes they advised me that one of my lug nuts was missing. I reported this to them and I was told to bring proof of this and they would reimburse me. I will not be returning to this location.

Auto Repairman Andrew and Manager Malik gave the best customer care service. They explained what was wrong with the vehicle. They gave me a VETERANS option/ choice of Auto parts. However, they treated me with senior citizens care. They did not take advantage of my monthly fixed income. Manager Malik ha my veteran disability into account as to what repairs I could afford. He made sure with Auto Repairman Andre consultation that my 2000 Ford Econoline Van E150 V6 E2 . In choosing, my vehicle is safe to drive. I do not recommend this place. They scammed me, they stole a lot of money when I only asked them to change my cars oil. They took advantage of the fact that I am Hispanic and that I don’t understand English. They also changed parts of my car that I didn’t ask them to. They charged me $1,372 and I had to make a police report. My niece helped me write this review. Be careful, report them to the police if they do the same to you so that other people don’t go through this bad experience. Do not go to this place because they rob you.

Ive been coming to Meineke for a while and always have a great experience. My wife and I only have the one car so I try to keep up with it as much as possible. I always take my Mazda there. The guys are always straight with me. I just took the Mazda for a rush job and the guys diagnosed it, and fixed as quickly as possible while keeping me informed the whole time. I would not recommend this Meineke to anyone, nor will I be returning. I used to frequent this particular location for every maintenance issue even though I did not live in the area. I felt it was a much more reputable place than others near me, even other Meinekes. I was wrong! Back in Dec 2020 I visited to get new brake pads for my vehicle according to my lifetime warranty (Its a joke!). I was told at the time that it was not necessary as my brakes had at least 30% left on them and would be good for sometime depending on use. Well, being a pandemic I dont travel often so I decided not to get them. I returned in Feb 2021 and I was told that now I needed brake pads, rotors, calipers, etc for the front and rear brakes. How did everything go so south so quickly with minimal driving? I believe now that I was told the brakes were better than they were so I would run them into the ground and require more work when I returned, but that may be speculation. Either way, I way told that this would require $1000+ worth of repair for which my warranty covered $70-$80+. I didnt have my warranty with me as I never have needed it when I came there before. It was in my car glove compartment and they could not find a record of me being there previously. Before i went into the garage to find it, I overheard voice from behind me stating It would be nice if you had the paperwork with you to begin with. This was stated by a heavyset employee I later discovered to be the District Manager for the area who was just killing time in the lobby on his phone. (Hard life). I asked about getting the promotion of 50% off breaks which they do not honor there. I was also told by the DM who managed to look up from his phone long enough to interject his unsolicited commentary If you read the fine print on the coupon it says that the coupon does not apply to warranty work. Well, if I opted to not use the warranty that wouldnt mater, but...ok. Its not like I had it at the time anyway.Well, they found my previous paperwork after 10 minutes and I proceeded to get the work. After numerous times asking the timeframe only to get vague answers from the front office guy, I sat from 3pm to close at 6pm. After rushing to get the last of the work done before close, I paid and left with new brakes. Well, from the distance from Philadelphia Pike to Chichester on 95 I was pulled over by a police officer who did so because my back rear tire was smoking heavily. I could even smell the burn scent inside the car. I eventually parked it at a family members house and returned to have it checked two days later. I was livid as I just got new brakes! I was told that my rear drivers side caliper was old and working properly. It would cost me another $300+. I declined. They managed to free it up and grease it long enough for it to work. I later was curious and had it looked at by another mechanic who said it seemed ok, but for the fact it was used or refurbished. WTH! Why did it pay for new calipers only to get faulty ones? The new calipers accounted for over $600 of my total bill even though the calipers themselves only cost $40 each. I was going to take it to the New Castle Meineke to verify, but when I saw the same DM sitting in the lobby on his phone I knew what kind of service to expect again. I sent a similar review to the corporate email with no response. Seems like par for the course.Do not do business with this or any other Meineke. They seem untrustworthy, rude, lazy, and frankly dangerous according to the officer that pulled me over. He stated that if it wasnt for the wet conditions it might have caught fire.A 1 star wouldnt even be justified.Poor service all around!

I will never return to this location again. In April 2020 Meineke replaced the drivers side axle on my 1998 Volvo S70. The axle broke last week from a standing acceleration. I had the vehicle towed to the Meineke location, and was told later that day the axle was replaced free of charge and the vehicle operational. I retrieved the vehicle, and made it 150 yards before the same problem occurred. After two additional days of failed diagnostic, I took the vehicle to Aamco. The mechanic revealed the original broken axle had been placed back into the car without a replacement end clip, ensuring the problem would return (I have pictures to prove this). In short, Meineke never replaced the warrantied part, and charged me $85 for a diagnostic that diagnosed nothing. They will pay for their dishonesty.

I went in for a oil change. First it was cold outside so you had to wait out for your car to get done no one allowed in not even one person. Second he told me one price then after they started the oil change the price double to $80. I had a coupon that was for their site with their address on it but they would no honor it. I recommend not going to this meineke on Philadelphia pike in Delaware. I should of just kept going to Valvoline where I can sit in my car and pay the same price. I wouldnt use this place or recommend this location to anyone because of dishonest practices. The salesman was dishonest about pricing when it came to a diagnosis fees. So if he says that they will cut the fee down if you have them fix the problem dont trust it. After I voiced my concerns he gave me a very deceitful excuse about not being able to go back in the system to change it and he offered me a free oil change (by word of mouth only)on my next visit. No thank you. Fool me once same on you but you wont fool me twice.

I had my vehicle towed to the Meineke located on Philadelphia Pike in Claymont Delaware. After two phone calls I was told that they had bad news and worse news. The bad news was my starter was fried and my battery was fried and the worst news was my motor maybe shot. They then went on to say that they wouldn’t know if the motor was bad until they replace the starter and the battery. After spending $960 to get the starter and the battery replaced I was told my motor was shot. With the recent events the pandemic with COVID-19 I feel like this Meinicke ripped me off because in anyone’s professional opinion they would not have put in brand new starter and battery knowing that the motor shot. I believe they knew that the motor was going because they put my vehicle on a diagnostic machine to let you know what was going on with the vehicle. I will never take any of my vehicles back to this Meinicke I’m a single mother of three children and now I’m out of almost $1000 because they wanted to get over such a rip off. I wasn’t offer a partial refund Or anything. Their recommendations were you can take it to another Meinicke that does motors or you can have your vehicle towed to your home

Took my car in because I need wheel hub abssembly work had one alert on. Went to pick up car now it’s 3 different sensors on tech tells me I need a speed wheel sensor now after I spent $1300 for the work they did very disappointed with the service

Drove in car wasnt performing properly, drove out and a day later its like a new car. Will use this Meineke as my go to for car repairs. As far as the personalities go, very professional and personable manager and same for my mechanic.

Slow service and the salesman was pushing air filter service for my vehicle even though my car was new. Being a new car owner, I felt pressured and was not satisfied with how they target new customers. Would not recommend.

I like this Meineke. The front desk associate was very courteous and respectful as were the guys in the bays I encountered. I was a bit surprised by the fact that they didnt honor Meineke coupons though. Needed a quick oil change and they allowed me to wait because I was turned away by another Meinekee based on overexagerated covid restrictions.

I posted a review several weeks ago about the poor customer service I received. The response from the company asked me to give them another chance to restore my trust.When I brought my car in that day I was told almost the entire cooling system needed to be replaced and they would charge me $1700+ to fix it. I got a second opinion and was told only one hose needs to be replaced, a $60 fix.If you go to this shop for an estimate of any type of work, I recommend you get a second opinion. Especially if you are a female.

Jason Johansen and the mechanics who work along with him at this location are top notch people! Their customer service is second to none. They amount of time I spent there was equivalent to the amount of money I spent there; which is half than what I would have spent at other mechanic shops. Thanks gents!

Very poor customer service, the front desk man (I believe his name was John) was very comfortable using profanity while talking to me and also was very displeased when I declined extra service on my car. I will never go back to this location again.I also recommend ALWAYS getting a second opinion from another mechanic after bringing your car in to this location. They have a tendency to be wrong about issues with your car.

I was really in a bind yesterday...another company next door began to repair one of my wheels and ran into a problem they couldnt handle so together with Meineke they worked out a reasonably priced solution and I simply walked next door and waited just a bit longer while the repair was completed. I drove away from Meineke last night happy and safe...THANK YOU!!!
