I picked up 3 huge sushi platters for a celebration of life event. The invoice is nearly $300, but there is a stingy limit of only 25 chopsticks and a handful of soy sauce packets, even though this order was to feed 100+ people 🤔. I was told that I could purchase additional chopsticks, so I had to spend $3+ on something that shouldve been included. I was in a hurry and forgot to buy soy sauce too, so we ran out of it. Its the principle, not the additional cost, that would otherwise make this review 5 stars. If you plan to order large quantities of sushi, dont forget that you may need to buy additional chopsticks and soy sauce and allow time to wait in the retail line to purchase them. I recommend bringing a box to transport large sushi platters since the plastic trays are not sturdy enough for the weight of the sushi.The quality of the sushi is the best in this area and Noble carries most of the Japanese groceries that I need.Attached is a picture of one of the 3 sushi platters. Growing up in rural MI, my Japanese family and I would drive over two hours once a week for years to eat at Noble Fish-- a true testament to its authentic and delicious food! Thankfully, we moved closer to metro Detroit and no longer have to drive as far but either way, its definitely worth it!Pros: the sushi is fresh, authentic, and you can tell that the chefs care about the qualityCons: the space is very, very small. If you prefer to eat in a very open, comfortable space, get the sushi to-go!

Noble Fish was good, but it was not anything above and beyond or special for me. I am happy that I tried it, but it is not a place that would be on the top of my list for sushi in the future because it did not really stand out.One thing that I did not like is their website is misleading. Ordered 5 rolls for the wife and I to split, they were all fantastically prepared and delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive. The store is a cool little spot to pick up some Japanese food items.

Good sushi place and also a nice Japanese convenience store. I went there primarily to get sushi and rolls, and would consider here a good place for lunch. I wouldnt say they have the best sushi and sashimi that I ever had - maybe because I had the premade rolls and sashimi instead of ordering on the spot due to time. I would recommend their rolls over sashimi and sushi. Overall I would say its a nice place if you are looking for somewhere to grap lunch.

This is a restaurant slash grocery store. You must order online ONE HOUR in advance to take out food from this locations. Depending on the day and time of day you might find pre-prepared boxed food in the fridge but choice is limited and sometimes sold out and empty. Prices are very reasonable if you find something you like.The staff is courteous, helpful and friendly but doesn’t make up for the long wait time. How does the food taste, delicious.In the grocery section one can find desserts. Here are some I recommend.It’s three star for the wait time and the empty fridge with pre-packaged food.

Excellent place to get fresh sushi. So far it’s my favorite place to buy sushi in Michigan. The ingredients are well balanced are the sushi rolls are fairly priced. I’d recommend getting sushi here during lunch time as this place can get very busy.

The pinnacle of sushi in Michigan. I lived in Hong Kong before moving to Michigan, Ive been to nearly every sushi restaurant on this side of Michigan, Noble Fish not only exceeds the others, it blows them away. Their fish is not only fresher, they serve large portions for the price and they have a cooler full of authentic Asian drinks you never see in the United States.The quality is unbelievable for an establishment so small as this and the long line for food proves others feel the same way. Impeccable sushi and truly one of the best restaurants in Michigan.I recommend getting Spicy Tuna and Spicy Salmon rolls alongside a CC Lemon.

I used to live in Japan before and I know the real taste of Sushi.Noble Fish is the best Sushi place in town.We couldn’t go to the restaurent and take out the food and had it at home last week.Beautiful food and very fresh as usual.My favorite is Spider roll and Nobel roll.(which is all cooked)All food is great and price is reasonable too.I strongly recommend to anybody who wanna try real Japanese Sushi & rolls.

AMAZING. High quality, fresh fish. Huge portions for a fraction of the cost you’d pay elsewhere in metro Detroit. This place is a hidden gem. A must-visit. Best sushi I’ve had in the area hands down. And a really good amount of fish per roll too, which a lot of sushi place I feel skimp on. This place gets it right. And the atmosphere is great too, inside an Asian foods market.

Ok first let me say as far as the sushi goes, it’s by far the best and freshest sushi I’ve ever had. The rolls are big and very tasty and they are fairly priced. I couldn’t believe this sushi came from a grocery store but it was excellent. The only reason this isn’t a 5 star review and I docked it one star is the ordering. We ordered it hours in advance and the food still was late. It was worth the wait and we will for sure go back.

Whoa, everything we got today was good to amazing. Went with the premade rolls and they were all tasty. We had the spicy shrimp, spicy tuna, shrimp tempura and eel rolls. Everything was very fresh. Wish the spicy shrimp rolls were made a little smaller. Also love their dressing for side salad. Definitely one of the top 3 places to get sushi in metro Detroit.

I think their website needs to be fixed. I always order from here but for some reason today I ordered a pick up for 4:45. The earlier you order the better because sometimes they stop accepting orders in the middle of the day, so I ordered in advance so by the time my boyfriend and I get out of work it’s fresh and ready. All of a sudden we get a text saying it’s ready at 12pm, that’s definitely not correct. We’re both at work so we’re not even close to go and pick it up right now even if we wanted to. I called and asked about my situation, and I wanted to know if I’d have fresh sushi by then since I can’t pick it up now and I don’t think they understood. I don’t want 5+ hour soggy sushi by the time I pick it up, I would like fresh sushi. Ordering online is really buggy and messed up. I hope they try to resolve these issues soon. I love noble fish but the customer service has gone down.

Theres nothing special with their Michigan special roll, just weird, because the size is so big that its hard to eat. And the tuna in the middle is ugly looking. Not appetizing at all. Theres no artistry in any of their sushi, very simple for the price tag. Waited 30 mins for 3 simple sushi. Not coming back.

Im kind of boggled as too why theres such high ratings, the service is not good, the sushi was not even palatable even though I was hungry, you have to wait quite a while to get your meal, and its not a comfortable sitdown place. Let me start with saying that this is actually a grocery shop first and a restaurant second. It smells like a butcher place in some areas of the store. It doesnt seem like a very clean space. The staff was low key rude. I wish I knew it was a grocery shop first, my friend and I didnt see that on the reviews, so we were definitely thrown off.

I used to come here before I developed an allergy to gluten. They do not have any gluten-free sushi rolls! An employee explained that the rice vinegar that they use contains wheat (gluten) and that it is not cost-effective to use another kind. Therefore, all of the sushi rice has gluten in it. Also, they use a miso soup base that contains wheat. I hope they change their minds and try to accommodate a broader audience.The sushi, as I remember it, was very good, though.

Didnt have to wait too long. They have the ordering process all streamlined and smoothly running. The ambience is perfect with a lot of noise and the smell of seafood in the air. Had the salmon roll but will be back to try something else. Price might be a little more expensive than usual.

A bar for individual seating and tables for small groups of 2-3, can fit 4 max in the back. Best for small groups and couples. Nice hole in the wall restaurant feel.

Great sushi both in terms of quality and cost. Id highly recommend the supreme combo. At $20, it came with a variety of delicious, high grade nigiri, including uni -- just cant beat that! Id recommend coming in early before the dinner rush to submit your order form and browse the grocery area while you wait. Speaking of which, I was able to restock on some Japanese snacks as well. Noble Fish offers reasonably priced, fresh, delicious sushi. There sushi party trays are a great deal and the new online ordering makes placing an order very convenient. Be prepared to wait though because they are often very busy and Id recommend ordering an hour ahead of time. The Japanese grocery store attached to the sushi counter is a gem and has a wide variety of products. This is a consistently delicious sushi stop!

Not good. Some sushi chefs are not professional. Kroger’s sushi looks better.Rice was compressed too much and not shaped well.

Quality of sashimi was questionable yesterday. Never been this much of disappointment. Smell bad and fish texture wasnt write. I am sure other people also taken some of those bad fish yesterday.

I use a wheelchair and they always help me carry my shopping out to my car. The staff here is helpful in picking out sake and other products as well. Sushi is delicious and a good price.

Great place for authentic sushi! Was recommended to come here by Japanese friends and it is one of the best places for Japanese food. Cant wait for them to finish with the renovation, its going to look so amazing. The dining area now looks so much more spacious and theyve framed up the drawings done by their customers, which is really cool. They have a sister location in novi called one world market which had also undergone renovations. Also another great place to check out!

Just not consistent/fresh. For this type of place I prefer Cafe Sushi, baddah, or California roll sushi. Also for the freshest stuff Sozai was amazing and on a whole different level than those other places.

Literally the BEST sushi place in metro Detroit! The best quality fish for the best price. Every roll I’ve ever gotten here was delicious. The presentation is also always lovely. The only complaint I can come up with is I wish they provided bigger water glasses, but to me that’s very minor. If you live in the area and have not gone to Noble, you are seriously missing out!

Love the curated selection of staples and treats. O-sushi is lovely. Best in metro Detroit for sure. Not so friendly for kokujin tho. A bit sad, since Ive noticed I get followed around and side-eyed by staff every shopping trip.

Really wish more seating was available, but with Covid thats the way it is. The freshly prepared items next to the order desk were great for the lunchtime people. Since I was in the road at the time seating was a must. For others who can grab and go I can see why it was recommended to me. Really good sushi, prepared fresh. I could see them making large amounts in back, a great indicator of large fresh volume. Just one complaint if I had one, I didnt get a receipt. Looking forward to my return.

Ive been coming here for over 10 years and its still the best sushi in metro Detroit. Before their renovation, seating was limited and cramped and the store/restaurant looked dated, but now the interior is very spacious and theres substantially more seating.As far as groceries go, they offer a great selection of Japanese goods. If youre looking for a particular ingredient, snack, or ramen from Japan, theyll likely have it. If youre looking for fresh ramen noodles, theyre a distributor for Sun Noodle.However, I would say most come here for the sushi. They offer a good menu and the ingredients have almost always been very fresh. Its not hard to get ikura, uni, or toro here and the prices are very reasonable compared to other sushi restaurants.

But it seems like you dont care.

I love this little market and sushi joint! Its constantly busy so get there early if youre just grabbing something out of the case, they were nearly out when I got there around 2pm on Sunday. (Although they are always stocking it back up, it just goes so quick) Online ordering also has a bit of a wait, but its well worth it! Everything they make is fresh and delicious, you wont be disappointed!!

The issue with this resturant is that their ordering cuts off early. If you want something for dinner, you will have to call in ahead during the afternoon. I would recommend as the fish is very good and the prices are pretty decent as well.

Sushi is great. Always fresh and delicious. The issue being can you ever get their sushi? They are always out of prepared sushi and they take forever to prepare your order. Just now went to order online and it wouldnt be available for 2.5hrs. Figured that couldnt possibly be true so I call, and the recorded message says they are unable to currently take phone orders. Its insane. Good luck being able to get sushi from them.

Always great sushi! And glad to see they made it through the pandemic since the attached grocery store is one of the best places to buy fresh seafood for home grilling as well.

Quality has gone down tremendously over the past 1-2 years. The fish does not taste fresh half the time. They also frequently mess up orders now. This has gone from my favorite sushi place to one of the worst. e.g. I placed an order for 6:15 pm pickup and I get an alert that the sushi is ready for pickup at 3pm. I called at 3pm, and they did not seem to care. Remake my food so its fresh for pickup? No. They let my food sit there for nearly 4 hours. They also frequently stop taking orders at 4:30pm, despite being open until 7pm.

Best sushi in Metro Detroit hands down. For me it all comes down to the rice. It is so perfectly cooked and flavored I get a bowl of it on the side. Prices are also super reasonable. The new space is really nice and much larger than the old dining area. It seems like they are able to accommodate lots more eat in customers and the sushi is still exceptional. Totally worth any drive or wait you mayexperience. To top it off everyone that works here is really friendly.
