Admittedly, I had planned on going into the area to go to a different fabric store. When I realized the place i had originally wanted to go was closed, I figured what the heck. Give this shop a shot. GREATEST PLAN B EVER!!!!Huge stock and variety, all of it appearing to be great quality. Knits, woven, apparel, upholstery, they even had leather while I was there. I havent been this excited about a shop in so very long.The employees were so nice to a girl who normally only gets to go to big box stores. Made sure I was doing good, and explained how they came to be in business and the kinds of fabrics they are look for.Their price point is really incredible. Less than 4 bucks for the apparel fabrics and less than 5 for the upholstery. Anyone who sews knows the feeling of dread the moments before your cutting into $50 price of fabric for a pattern that youve only made 1 muslin on. Super stressful. These prices make it ok to be a person who learns by making lots of mistakes!Thank you guys so much and I will be coming back!

So many bolts had a blast. So reasonable I cant believe the price. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Brad put the bolt of fabric in my car as well. 100% would recommend checking this fabric place !

This is an amazing store, with excellent selection of fabric to choose from, outstanding quality, great prices and friendly owners (husband and wife) as well as their staff especially Diana. I found beautiful unique designs and will return for more as their inventory is updated often with new material. A great little gem in Clawson. Highly recommend it.

Love the fact that much of the fabric here is very wide. 2 yards of fabric from here can yield a 2XL mens short sleeve button down shirt as compared to the 3 1/2 yards that would be needed from a regular sized bolt of fabric. Price per yard is another major plus, definitely worth a visit.

I went there for the first time a few days ago. Fantastic selection of fabric..... I mainly sew with knits. Many choices in prints and solids. Great staff! Bring your own bags as they dont provide them. Ill definitely be back!!

Great place to get fabric at low prices. The owners are nice and helpful. Expect to spend some time sifting through... Its not super organized and the stock changes constantly. They just reduced their hours... Now its just Thur-Sun.

We found some really nice, thick fabric to make our new (almost roman) shades with. The cost for ALL fabric there is $2.99 a yard!!! So, for around $14 we made two shades to cover a fairly large window. Not sure of their policy regarding shopping bags but when we asked for one, to put our newly purchased fabric in, we were told they didnt have any. We saw, under the open counter, what appeared to be a roll of them. Not 100% about whats what. Anyway, Id go back. Id take my own bag, but Ill return

My Mom turned me on to this fabric outlet years ago. We have happily followed them as the fabric selection and quality is superb and only $2.99 a yard! Buy it when you see it as their fabrics move quickly. I have been lucky enough to get Coach lining, silk, knits and once last year 72 denim. They are not like Jo-Anns where you hopefully get the yardage you requested. I wish I had a sewing fairy godmother to sew it all. Its a Mom and Pop store and they are pleasant and helpful!

Not once have I purchased bad fabric here! This family owned business has always been the greatest! I have found lace, linen and upholstery here, all for only $2.99. Other places sell the same or similar fabrics for $9.99 and up. No, they cannot reorder anything because its an outlet, but if you love fabric and visit this store, you will never leave empty handed!

It is what they advertise. No frills, Fantastic price. Found some ripstop nylon that no one else had and a great brown patterned vinyl that I bought more of than I needed (just in case). They greeted me as I walked in, led me to what I wanted, and supplied me with a number for a tailor if mine (sister) couldnt handle my project.

I highly recommend everyone who needs fabric to come here before going anywhere else. The best thing about their store are the prices. Everything is $2.99/yard and the minimum cut is 1 yard. Joann cant beat their prices even if you had a 60% off coupon at Joann. Discount Fabric Outlet have very friendly staff. They dont have a huge selection, but its still a good selection.

This was my first time visiting but it definitely wont be my last. The owners were extremely helpful and the selection of fabrics was above and beyond what I expected.They even have athletic fabrics and a lot of 60 fabrics. I highly recommend this place.

First off, this is not your standard chain fabric store. There are no notions etc. They carry fabrics for making clothing. You will not find upholstery fabrics. All that being said this is a great fabric store to check out. Everything is $2.99/yard! The stock is constantly changing, so I try to stop by anytime Im in the area.

All fabrics are $3.99 a yard. Although I didnt care for many of their fabrics, I was after some very basic upholstery fabric and found a great off white heavy fabric for a loveseat, and a varying stripe in blue and off white for a chair. At their prices it made sense to reupholster furniture I love.

You have to be flexible about what you want, they dont know what theyll get until it comes off the truck. The owners are very sweet people and everything is 1 price. Ive saved hundreds over Joann fabrics at this place.Edit:so Ive been going here for a few years and sometimes bring my grandma who is in a wheelchair with me. I cant tell you the # of stores that ignore us because of that chair (pretty much all of them) so when I come in and the staff immediately talks to HER and asks her what were looking for, checks on us, I cant really explain what its like if you havent dealt with it. The last time I was in one of the men even brought my cart out to the car for me so I could just deal with the chair, not one other store in 20 years has ever done that. This place is absolutely amazing, yes the price is great but the people make it what it is.

Ive been to this place during their supposed open hours twice in the last week and there was no one there. Todays sign said they were closing at noon yesterday. I guess they didnt reopen? I really need fabric and heard good things from a few people but Im not going to try again.

EDIT: I took off a star because twice now Ive been burned by severely crooked cuts. I couldnt use the fabric for what i wanted because I ended up with not enough. They do not measure accurately, they just free hand cut it. So I guess buy more than you think youll need to make up for it!Pretty good selection of apparel fabrics, especially a large selection of solid colors in a variety of fabrics, including knits, heavier weight apparel fabric, lace, chiffon. I havent loved the selection of prints though, theres not usually many and theyre mostly over-the-top or very abstract designs, as opposed to simple. Cant beat the price though!

The prices are very good. Matter a fact it is one set price of $2.99 a yard but the selection is limited to all light weight (thin) fabrics. So a limited selection, but very friendly staff.

Ive been shopping here for years, since they were at the Hoover location. $2.99/yd is a steal and it doesnt hurt to come here to look for good supplementals. You never know what youll find. They have many quality knits which are even hard to find at Joanns. You just have to look for them. All in all its seamstress heaven. Shop local.

Best kept secret for crafters in the state. You can get yards and yards of very expensive fabric for very very little money. I just bought a 100% silk organza for 3.99 a yard. If you havent been there, you need to go.
