These guys were great! Although there were issues with vehicles in front of me, and I ended up being there for the better part of the day, their friendly faces and conversational dispositions made it bearable. Zach even shared his lunch with my son because we had been there so long. Once they got to my truck, Larry took me outside and showed me what the problem was and once they got the parts I was out of there in less than thirty minutes! They are knowledgeable and efficient from the front desk to the back shop. Highly recommend!

I have to say that my experience with John and his crew was nothing less then stellar. Its hard to express how appreciative I am for the professionalism and honesty of this business, I hope you guys never lose that. I brought my vehicle in to have a second opinion on what Jenkins and Wynne Ford had told me was a $400+ needed brake replacement, fortunately I got another opinion. There was nothing wrong with my brakes, the Ford dealer has lost my business forever and Budget Brake has gained my business when I need any work that they can do. John and his crew including Larry did an excellent job as usual. I take all of my cars there vs. dealership. They use the same parts and give you option for OEM pads if you want and approx. 40 percent less than what they dealer would charge. They have always been extremely professional and very helpful and will explain the entire process all the way. Again I have been getting my vehicles serviced at Budget Brakes, John Biggs for + 10 years and was never let down by him. Always courteous and willing to help out and do the right thing by the customer and the local community.

Took car here thinking it was gonna be a good deal. Was told I needed brakes and rotors on from only and new drums on the back. The guy working on my car took everything apart and then quit. Him and the manager started arguing and yelling. The manager took over after the guy quit and said the previous guy was wrong and I only needed the front brakes and rotors done the drums were fine. I was still charged $513.00… $513.00 for front brakes and rotors only, I could have probably gone to Valvoline or Firestone and paid less. Budget where?!?!?!

I went in to get my brakes locked at because they had a little grinding noise to them. I just had brakes put on in July 2020, and they cost 345.00. Well thinking I may just need pads, the estimate they gave me was no where near their advertised price of 89 00. The wanted to charge me 960.00 and they wasnt even going to replace the pads. So I took it back to the well respected and professional place that done them in Kentucky. Showed them the estimate, which about made the owner have a heart attack. He took my car for a ride to check them out and he said that they were fine. Brake pads barely worn, and the light grinding noise was normal. He looked at everything that was on Budget Brakes estimate and did not see anything wrong or that needed to be replaced. I never expected to get a 960.00 estimate, nor will I ever recommend Budget Brakes to Anyone. IN fact I will shy them away from there if possible. I guess they thought they had a sucker

On May,15th. I went to Budget Brakes, on 2nd Ave. to have them look at the brakes on my 2006 Nissan Sentra, the store manager, and I spoke about the cost for shoes for the back,and brakes and rotaries for the front, the price was over $1,000, I told him I couldnt afford it, he said the brakes and rotors could wait, but the shoes had to be done, and he was very concerned about the condition they were in.. which was bad. I told him I worked out of town, and I need to get the shoes done, he said I could drive the car at this time without changing the brakes and rotors, but eventually I need to get them done. So, now I will share with you what I paid and what I did, and what they did. I paid $213.98 for Drum, $129.99 for Shoes, $219.96 for Wheel cylinders, $48.99 for Hardware kit, $109.98 for Miscellaneous Bleed and fill, $21.99 for Shop Supply, for sales tax $70.76... Grand total of $815.65 so now you know what I paid, what did I do? and they know what I did! I took before and after pictures of the back shoes on my car, now understand, Im not a mechanic, so the before and after pictures I took, I really didnt know what to look for, I saw shiny new stuff, but I also saw old stuff still on the car, it wasnt until I got home and looked real close at the pictures, then called some friends over to examine the work they done, that we saw, they did not put all new shoes on the car, there was part of new shoes and parts of the old ones, they know what they did. I will be going back there, to speaking with the manager, and hopefully getting it fix. Budget Brakes sent me a email May,16th. They asked for a review, and I pretty much gave the same review, they never posted it, and they never reply back to me. Thats why Im posting it on Google. I still havent made it back down there, in time Ill go. I will not tell you not to go to Budget Brakes, because, I strongly believe, they pick and choose, the people theyre going to do wrong. I called in about my brakes and he said it would be $90 + labor over the phone. I then went here for the brake change and the sales guy working here begins trying to upsell me on new calipers, rotors, and pads. He then quotes me $1,150 for the job. I did not pay this. I drove 500 miles to Illinois where my mechanic charged me $600 for rotors and brakes and said my calipers are fine. WARNING: DO NOT TRUST THE PEOPLE WORKING AT THIS SHOP

Walked right In and I was welcomed right off the bat. I can say that the employees here are very genuine and aren’t trying to make you go bankrupt, they only fixed what needed fixing and didn’t try to make me pay for something I didn’t need. Don’t be afraid to stop by and get a quote because they make sure the price is right before they do anything and they’re also very honest in what you need done so don’t worry about being over sold.

Pricing was inconsistent, they told me what I would pay for the whole deal but couldn’t tell me about my brakes and then it was more than what they said. I asked for a break down on the price and they couldn’t give it to me. They got over on me but it won’t happen again.

I came to check front brake pads. They checked them and never showed them to me, I know a bad brake pad. Also said I need rotors all the way around. Three people told me today not to deal with them, but I heard it rub twice. I should have went to Danko or T&B. I never asked to check my brakes all the way around. They should only give services that you ask for. I guess its because Im a woman. I would not recommend this business to my worse enemy. I give them a 👎a zero.$360+ for something I didnt ask for. They ask what you working with, its none of their business. I have other bills and live on disability.aa

Didnt tell me a shop price or any thing.but charged me 483.00 just to put inner tue rods in.

Ive used BB for 25 years now, taken 1/2 dozen vehicle there for brake repair & alignment. For the most part I was satisfied, but the last two of 3 vehicles were not repaired correctly and I had to use other mechanics to repair those two vihecles. I dont know if its cheap parts or lack of training or just happenstance, but I felt compelled to voice my concern about repairs made by Budget Brakes. They maybe OK for simple brake repair but the last two had lifetime ALL brakes warranties. I still had to use other mechanics to get them fixed properly. Cost, extra time and aggravation has soured my interest in BB. Judge for you self!

Went there for an alignment left my car & was told it would be first in that morning went back after lunch to pick it up still not started. Waited till end of the day to go back when I got there the guy at the counter gave me a list of things he said was wrong as to why my alignment was not done like I need a motormount & new tierods so when I showed him the records were i had just replaced those the week before he tried to tell me that I had gotten cheated because those were the old parts the only problem was that I replaced them myself I just wanted it aligned on the machine.

Guys were super honest about my car not needing brakes or an alignment. They didnt try to make me buy things I didnt need. Thats a rare event at an establishment that deals with repairs.

Went there to get an alignment done , the price they charger me wasn’t as nearly close as the advertised price . Tried to charge me $950 for work that i got done for $250 at a different auto shop . Asked them about the situation, was very rude and not professional at all . Went there with my engine light off , left with it on , mind you never had any issues with my engine .

I previously had a part installed and when I got my car back it had a loud knock when you turned the wheel and they said it is now the struts that was making the noise to cover for what they had done wrong but I refused to let them do any more work, so I took it to Budget Brakes to get an alignment and told John who runs the office what was going on and he said he would not do an alignment until he found out what was making the loud noise, so he put it on the rack and found out that the bolts in the part that was previously installed was loose and he could turn then with his fingers, which tells me the kind of work some people do and he then corrected the undone work and then did an alignment and the knock is gone and the car drives like a new car. I am so proud that I went to Budget Brakes for an alignment and got so much more. John is so nice, friendly and helpful, I would recommend John and Budget Brakes to anyone needing most any repairs including alignment.George Greenwood

Granted I did not have and appointment so i was happy they accepted my car. I waited over four hours with after they checked my car and drove it from a test drive. The gentleman behind the counter was rude, in a joking manner, when they asked how long they would have to wait. They explained they had to drive roughly one hour to reach their place of employee...He even told them, it was not his fault for the car they purchased. I saw my car depart for another test drive but no news from the service tech but when I was standing outside their building I notice sparks coming from the front of my car. When I question them, i was informed they cut my lug nuts from my car. They did not explain how they made that mistake but I assume if I had not saw them they would not have admitted their mistake.

I have gone to multiple shops in the course of a year, all have said they would not conduct maintenance on my vehicle for various reasons. I decided to check out budget brakes and the guys working there were more than happy to give an alignment. Excellent customer service and I was able to get back on the road within an hour.

I had a wheel alignment done. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I got there right when they opened and they got me in and out very quickly. They checked the alignment and showed me what was needed before any work was preformed. Then they did the alignment and showed me the print out with the corrected alignment readings. Very good experience.

[Amendment] The following is a negative experience that I had BUT I want to note that once the manager was made aware of how dissatisfied I was he immediately took the appropriate measures to fix the situation and even reembersed me for extra expenses I had paid. They have very friendly and responsive customer service when you have a problem.Went to get new break pads. Was told that they couldnt put then on without replacing other stuff which would cost an extra $250. I asked if they could just put the new break pads on and I would get the other part another time as I just couldnt afford it. They insisted that they couldnt just do that they had to do all of they repairs or nothing. Well I only have so much money so I said I would just have to leave with nothing done. They then agreed to but the new break pads on. After I left my car was making a clunking metal sound in the front right. I assumed it was the part that they said needed to be replaced. They told me that if it was not replaced soon I could loose the petal. So as soon as I could afford it I took it to a different shop because I didnt like how Budget Breaks told me that they couldnt do anything and then suddenly COULD when I said that I would leave without having any repairs done. I told the new shop what Budget Breaks had told me and described the noise that I was hearing. Turns out somehow there was metal in places it should not have been and things put on incorrectly. There were NO additional problems with my breaks. Nothing that would have cost me $250!

Super friendly staff! They called me let me know exactly what was going on and tried to save me money where they could. Answered all my questions without talking down to me (which Ive experienced other places a lot). They even let me drop my car off the night before and put it inside till they could get to it the next morning. Even a couple months later, my brakes feel great and I commute to Nashville so they get some wear and tear. Great work!

I have an 84 chevy c10 that I had an alignment done on and when I get my truck home my steering system messed up so they ruin my truck. I will not reccomend them to anyone anymore.

Went in to have my brakes checked, was told on the phone the price was89 per axle to turn rotors and replace the pads, after it was in the air with the wheels off he changed the price to 129 for turning the rotors with no pad replacement for the front and 149 for turning the rotors and pads in the rear, asked him about the price he told me on the phone and he looked at me like I was stupid and got a attitude, told me that it wasnt safe to drive with the back pads that low so I had to get them fixed, by the time he was done he tried to get me to agree to a almost 800 dollar repair, the only good thing is there was no wait which is normally a warning sign if a shop is slow a lot there is normally a reason

Got me right the guys are cool and work with you... O just dont see the budget at budget brakes lol maybe because I dont know better but my pockets know enough to know when they hurt lol and usually its every visit.

Everything went well. They inspected the brakes for my mothers car. They found nothing wrong them. They cleaned and lubed them a bit and didnt charge anything for the service. I recommend them.

Dont go here! We had a 1:30 appointment & upon arrival was told it would be a 30 minute wait. 45 minutes later we went in to see what was going on and was told it would be an additional 1 1/2 hours! He didnt even have the decency to let us know the wait time had increased. Then we were told we could wait, come back or whatever! Even it were free, i wouldnt go back!

Whats the point of making a appointment if you are still going to wait. I made an appointment for 0900 I got there 30 minutes before, and the guy said its going to be about 1 to 2 hours before we can get u in, we just got two guys come in before u, I said I have a appointment. GO TO HONEST-1 AUTO CARE, they took in my car as soon as I got there, and it took about 45 min

Got front rotors and pads here. Service was good, the price was reasonable (I couldve done it myself for like $150 less but they have employees to pay lol) and they were fast. Brought it in at 7:50, drove it out at 9:15. My only complain is that my seat was a bit too far but its not really a big deal.

Went in with a noise on the front right side. After driving the car, I was told that I needed struts and an alignment. The cost of the repair, $972! Not wanting to prolong my car riding rough, I went ahead and had it fixed. After paying the bill, the car still makes the same noise!! I took it to another shop to be told that struts and an alignment should have only been $540!!! Budget Brakes is no BUDGET! True crooks who do horrible work. Save your time, headache and money! Go ANYWHERE else.

I went there first in line at around 740 and they took like 30 minutes to start working on it, the older guy who talked to me did not seem interested in even trying to get the job done at a reasonable speed. After waiting for about an hour he then approached me and showed me the issues and the prices. he tried charging me 730 dollars!. he didnt ask if i wanted changed he just assumed i did. after reviewing the charges i saw that one part cost 19.90 dollars but the labor just for that single part was 20.00 , then the cost for the labor on one pad cost more than the pad itself. they charged 80.00 for one pad labor. seriously. at the end all i got done was the pads changed. after paying the still outrageous bill i left wondering, Whos budget are they considering? the customers or theirs??

I was thoroughly satisfied with the service I received at Budget Breaks. My back brakes were grinding pretty bad, and they took care of them for a great price. I dropped the car off around 10:30, and it was ready by 2:00. If you are looking for a place to get your brakes done for a good price and with great customer service, Budget Brakes is the place to go.

3 weeks ago I had my brakes done from here. Idk what happened but I guess they did not tighten my lugs nuts. The tech took it out on a final test drive, the front driver wheel fell off hit another vehicle and came back and hit my vehicle. Causing damage to the rear quarter panel, rear bumper and tail lights . Gave them a chance to fix there screw up, they put me in a rental and told me I had to pay for it and they would reimburse me when the vehicle is done. 3 weeks later vehicle is still not done, was lied to and given the run arounds since week two, them stating the car would be done this day and the next day and it kept going on. Also they stated that they are trying to get a new wheel and tire. They stated it was painted and ready Friday today is Monday and I called the body shop the vehicle is located at and paint has not been started on my vehicle. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BUDGET BRAKES TO SAVE MY OWN LIFE. Stay clear of this place. ZERO STARS

I went to buget breaks to get my break pads changed I called at 8 am to schedule my appointment for 11 They were very kind at that point the second I shown up I was told that I had a hour wait ahead of me and he gave me the option of sitting in the shop for an hour or come back in an hour so I obviously choose to come back in a hour and I asked him to call me when they were ready for me and he replied very rudely “just come back in a hour” so I came back at 12 and was approached by a different dude Very rudely saying because I couldn’t wait it’s gonna be another hour so I just left I had things to do that day !!!!!so I RECOMMEND NOT GOING HERE!!!

Gentlemen running the front lobby was awesome, but when he told me my calipers were hard to find, and he finally found one, I tried calling other stores to see if I could find one. I just so happened to find out that Autozone sold the last part to him for $56. Earlier he told me he found a part, but without a price. Out the door he told me with labor and caliper, it would be $245.05. So he doubled the caliper cost, and charged a $100 labor fee. Definitely not a budget brake

I honestly wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt and not post anything but I feel like I should warn you before you think about going here. I took my vehicle here about 3-4 months ago to get my brake pads changed and every since then my brakes have been squealing and they were sort of grinding at first.. The service was horrible everytime I looked back through the window to see the progress they were eating food, taking several smoke breaks and once even looking back at me. It took almost two hours and a half hours for them to change my brakes and not to mention it wasnt cheap!!! At all I paid 367 for brakes and labor! All in all I wouldnt recommend going here. I learned how to do my own brakes, it took a lot less time and lot less money!

If I could give this place one triangle of a star I would. This place is a joke. I took my vehicle in for an alignment left it there all day. Asked the employee if I could get it after they close he said that would be fine. That was in the Am I called about 5 and he said hes been trying to reach me wrong I had my phone all day never got a call. Said he couldnt do the alignment cause it needed tire rod and bushing said he test drove it and I had to have those parts to fix it. I had half a tank of gas when I took it when I pick it up my gas light was on the car vibrated horribly and it was a day before a guy was coming to buy it from me blew the sale cause who ever test drove it comply destroyed the wheel barings and my passenger tire was warped and wheel was bent like someone hit a huge pot whole going fast. Do your self and your vehicle a favor dont end up like me dont take it to this budget breaks. OMG they are terrible.
