What a great store. The owners are friendly and informative, and the inventory was top notch. Im excited to use all the great spices I bought. I am just visiting this quaint little town, but I highly recommend Claremont Spice and Dry Goods to everyone.

Love this place! Gorgeous, fresh dried herbs and spices, unusual things that you cant always find elsewhere. And they are packaged in different sizes, so you dont have to buy a lot of something just to try out something new. Many lovely gift items as well, local products, fresh ground coffee... It smells amazing when you walk in and the proprietors are super friendly. Always a treat!

Excellent store for fledgling chiliheads! I know where to go whenever I need carolina reaper and scorpion pepper powders. CS&DG also sells a few of Angry Goat Pepper Companys (from Vermont) sauces. Feel the burn!

A LOVELY cooking store with an unparalleled selection of cool spices, spice blends, a d other neat ingredients as well as local farm products and kitchen gadgets. The owners are wonderful and incredibly helpful. The window displays are always charming and delightful.

This is a great store! The quality of the spices is very good. The spice blends are amazing. Also, there are some specialty products, many of which are not available elsewhere in the area.The owner is very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about her products.Prices are reasonable as well.If you live in the area, and have never shopped here before, just go check it out, buy some spices or spice blends, and make some delicious food with them. Love this place. The only place I buy my spices now. They are very fresh and you have an amazing assortment to choose from for any type of dish. Spices come in small quantities to large quantities. You choose. The owners are very knowledgeable and inviting.

Such a nice little store. I was in heaven walking around, loving the fact that I could open jars and smell the fresh spices. David is so knowledgeable and is eager to answer questions on tips of using and storing spices. And the prices are so reasonable for great products that they keep super fresh.

This place has quality spices, rubs, coffee, and jam. The customer service is tip notch. It is an impeccable mom and pop place that really focuses on quality and service. They may not be able to handle shipping and long distance phone orders at this point however they are working towards it by relocating to a bigger place and have the aspirations to better serve us as a customer.I am in no way affiliated with this place but do frequent there often. I surely recommend this place to all family and friends. You truly wont be disappointed!

This place is a great hidden treasure. Quality service and knowledge of all the spices. Shipped to me when I was out of the area. Spices you know and some you have never heard of, all with a knowledgeable staff to help you out. Great spice blends and hot sauces as well. If you love to cook this is the place.

This is a shining example of why every effort should be made to support brick & mortar mom & pop shops. Freshest spices and best locally roasted coffees l have come across nationwide, period! OK, queue the haters from Seattle. From the most common single spices (but fresh - they wont grind some for risk of them losing peak essential oils) to exotic and custom blends to locally produced syrups and meats and great kitchen do-dads and gegaws in their sister store next door. Cant say enough. Now if l can only convince them to start carrying brewing materials.

Though there are a couple steps, the owner is willing to take calls and meet you outside. He is very knowledgeable about the numerous spices and dry goods he had available. Also will order many products.

Always friendly and helpful service. They have wonderful teas that keep us warm in the winter months . The bees knees honey is so delicious w those teas too!

This is such a cute place. Theres a great spice selection, a cute kitchen section, and local honey (with up to 3lb jars!!).

If you need any kind of spice or spices that are hard to find , locally made goods and even jalapeno infused maple syrup this is the place to go. Clean, friendly and a local treasure.

You really need to stop in here - nothing but the best!

I have to say I really was not impressed with the service. I tried to order with them over the phone and spoke with the owner twice and he never filled my order or called back to tell me that fact. When I called him myself he simply said he was too busy and couldnt fill my order. Must be nice to be able to turn away customers. I cant believe this owner. He went on TV to promote his business and then when he gets a customer like myself that wanted to spend $200 in his shop but needed it shipped, he just couldnt be bothered. He gets a 0 score from me and I will never have anything nice to say about his business.

This is a hidden gem in Claremont. Garam masala? Asafoetida powder? Juniper berries? Youll find all kinds of rare and unique spices here. They also have a frozen meat case and a fridge with pickled ginger. There is a kitchen utensil section that has a lot of unique tools at good prices.

You like food....you like to eat.....you are going to love this little spice store that seems to have it all and then some! My wife and I finally made it over for a look around and, after an unbelievably quick hour of sniffing samples with informative and entertaining conversation with the owner, we walked out with a very large bag of goodies (at very reasonable cost) and a smile that we couldnt shake from our faces.Almost all spices have glass jars available for the sniff test and all the spices are sorted alphabetically- very convenient! Everything is super fresh and unbelievably priced and you cant go wrong walking in just to adore the odors that permeate this little shop. I am from Texas so I was looking for that otherwise elusive EXREMELY HOT additive for my favorite foods that you just cant find anywhere else. I now need to look no further as this shop takes the cake. Try the scorpion pepper mixture if you dare!Love, love, love this store- and you are certain to find the spice(s) of your life here as well.
