Maria, if you read this, you do a terrific job.One feature of Norms that I have always liked is that they dont offer you a soup or salad; they offer soup AND a salad. The soup of the day on our most recent visit was pinto bean, which we passed on in favor of fresh fruit.The portions are generous, and the food perfectly prepared and delicious. We started with the Chefs Sampler Platter consisting of onion rings, fried shrimp, mozzarella sticks and chicken strips, with French mustard, marinara and cocktail dipping sauces. The platter is large and piled high, and is delicious.My partner ordered the ½ lb New York Steak and Shrimp with a baked potato, while I opted for the Classic Sirloin Streak Trio ( includes shrimp and chicken strips), with mashed potatoes and gravy. We both opted to have our steaks cooked Medium.Everything was excellent. The steak was perfect, tender, juicy and delicious. The chicken strips were huge and fluffy and had a pleasant texture and the shrimp were quite good.For drinks we both selected the Cotton Candy flavored Specialty Lemonade, mostly because I fancied the striking blue color. It proved to be absolutely wonderful.At under $18 per person its a phenomenal value with todays skyrocketing prices.

Norms, where life happens... For some, but not all... This long standing, big chain diner Cafe has a retro modern classic feel with a easy menu. They have parking for days and plenty of crew for all your service needs and wants. The prices are more than fair, but they do lack some modern options in food as far as dietary needs for those who have them, like myself other than a house salad, which is pretty solid.One of the classiest and friendliest locations Ive ever had the pleasure of visiting.

Norms has been one of our go-to places back when I was still doing late night shifts.My friend and I last visited this place 2 years ago and today I could say that they still serve great food with a variety of menu items from soups and salads to steaks and desserts.The service was kinda slow, but I guess it may be because they lack crew members. Although, you can tell that they are trying their best to help you as fast as they can. I love that they are all still friendly even when they’re super busy - these people deserve recognition (and tips!).Food is affordable. Per person, you have the option to spend less than $10 bucks for a decent meal. Definitely worth a try!

The food as always was great, the service was a little lacking. What started off as a pleasant experience with a short wait for a table and a friendly waitress, ended up with food coming out in stages instead of all at once. Manager on duty did what he could to make it right.

Ordered to go the blackened salmon and chicken fried steak. The salmon was very small and dried out. Disappointing considering the $17 price. Chicken fried steak was pretty good.

My boyfriend and I came in after work (around 5pm) and had a great experience dining in. Once we walked in we were greeted and put our names on the list. We waited less than 5 minutes and were seated in the back and placed our orders no more than 5 minutes after being seated. Our waitress Maria was very friendly and kept checking up on us if we needed anything. All in all, we left with a full belly but most importantly in a great mood. We need more waitresses/waiters like Maria who has a positive attitude and is attentive to his/her customers/tables. Will definitely be coming back.

Came here for Mom’s birthday it was ok, but service was very slow. It took 20 minutes before the server came. Took about a half hour before we received our food, but it was warm and not bad. Just wish the server was more attentive service could use some work here.

Havent been to NORMS since Covid-19 hit us but Im back and felt good to be back. I tried the chicken and waffles! For $10.95 it was worth every penny!

Food was delicious as usual. Its always worth going. The waitress was very attentive despite how busy it was. Its worth going if you are wanting the traditional diner experience with really good food.

Ordered DOUBLE burgers with fries for dinner for 3 of us. We were all pleased AND full! 🍖🍔🍟🍛Portions are generous for the cost too. They are freshly grilled without the overdose of sodium. Forget In -n- Out, Jack in the Box, McDonalds, or Carls Junior and come support your local Norms for your dining needs. Burgers are sooo delicious!! Service friendly and ready in 10 min tops!!

Unorganized, my order was placed over the phone, but when I got there there was no history of me placing an order, they were bad at handling situation and waited over an hours once I got there for them to get my order. They are very unorganized. Stay away from here

Classic Los Angeles diner, with cheap prices and big portions. Unlimited coffee, always a wait on weekends and worth it. Open 24-7, and everything on the menu is available. Loved it.

A little crowded. 🥞 Breakfast was average. Our server was kind and attentive.

I went to have lunch with a buddy of mine around 1:30 p.m. theres plenty of parking available usually most days but not so much sometimes in the evening. We went inside signed the logbook party of two and went and had a seat and waited. We waited about 10 minutes and then we were seated in a large booth. The waitress was adequate, although there were two mistakes on my order. She didnt t bring me one item that I had ordered and the other was ordering my food to be cooked a certain way and it wasnt. I didnt make an issue about either one. The food was flavorful and decent quantities. Although I think the prices are a little high, the overall atmosphere was quite loud and noisy. We ordered overall 4 meals two we ate there and two to go and the bill came out to over $70. You do the math. Overall if youre a family of four or five be prepared to spend close to a c-note or more for basic lunch or dinner with taxes and gratuity included. I grudgingly gave a gratuity of $8. Overall if you want to wait 10 minutes to be seated in a noisy atmosphere that has sub par service with higher than average prices, then Norms is the place for you. I give it an overall rating of 3 out of 5 stars *** thanks for reading.

What Happened to Norms?? Not the same place Im use too!! It has changed for the Worst!! Norms use to be a great place , the menu is completely different. The atmosphere is a no!!! This use to be a Wonderful Steak House , No longer , Los Angeles just isnt the same..

What can I say about good ol norms! Everything is good here, excellent prices. And they always have different deals so thats a p-l-u-s. Busy, busy and yes more busy but its worth the wait.

Today, I called to ask if they are requiring vaccine cards. I was put on hold and then was hung up on twice, after I had called 7 times. I was planning to have breakfast with friends tomorrow morning. I was not sure if it was actually in affect yet.Very unprofessional staff and manager that never came to the phone.

I ate at Norms and I know why it had been years of not eating here. I only ordered the mozzarella sticks. Hard and not fresh. I did not finish it. This place is definitely for those with no taste buds!

Usually they have great food and good service, but on Sunday me and my family went to have a nice Sunday lunch together and they were congested with back to back people, no regard for Covid, they made our food wrong, my husbands food was stolen by another server our waitress told us he then had to wait at least another half of an hour to eat, when they supposedly fixed my order which was supposed to be a patty melt it had bell peppers in it ,I didnt even think to check it, I took it to go and when we got home and I open it ,they gave me a grilled cheese that was burnt with 2 little pieces of a hamburger patty that was bloody still, we paid good money to be disrespected, and possibly given Covid19. I will never ,ever step foot in that place again after how we were treated ,we had been coming here for many years and never have we ever been treated this way!!!!!

The entrance looked very professional and clean, waiters and cashier are at standard and very polite.Got seated instantly and ordered a cheeseburger combo, while the actual meat lacked some seasoning as well as the fries, for its current price being $11 Im not complaining as well as waiters offering pepper and salt whenever asked for.Dining area is well maintained and utensils are spotless. Will definitely come back when Im feeling a family restaurant again ♥️ this place gets a 8/10 on my personal scale.

Like Denny’s, NORMS Restaurant is open 24 hours, but if you’re wondering how it’s food compares to the former, I can happily inform you that NORMS is a step above in terms of quality and taste of their food. I didn’t do a side-by-side price comparison of their menus, but it seems NORMS is a just a bit pricier, maybe on average a dollar or two more than Denny’s. However, the difference in price is more than adequately reflected in how good the food tastes. I enjoyed chicken and waffles and the other person had a steak that was tender and flavorful, and the entree included a salad and soup (they have Gumbo!). I thoroughly enjoyed my experience, which was made even better by our server, Daren, who was quick with the condiments and suggestions. I’ll come back here again.

We love NORMS but I feel things have changed. Overall service was good. It used to be outstanding. They were out of strawberry jelly and chalula hot sauce. Flavored coffee creamer was served from bulk. I understand were trying to survive as a business by kind a reinventing the way we do things. 🤔

Great value, as always. The meat was cooked perfectly. I was happily surprised that tater tots were available as a substitution for french fries. Finally, I love to get salads at Norms, because they have THE BEST creamy ranch dressing!

Norms has a great menu. The service was ok. The food is just average and comparable to a Dennys. Nothing out if the ordinary.

To say Dennys is fifty time better is sad enough. But, this place is so bad I wish I got a 7/11 hot dog. Food was cold my soup and the entree, I could tell they did not have water in the steam trays, the manager is a disgrace, the hostess that rung me up extremely rude.. This place is going to make someone sick. No pride in what they serve. Theyre nasty.. Three bad meals in a row lost a customer 35 years. They dont even ask you how your food was they know it was terrible. Simply nasty nasty nasty.

Best buy for a complete meal. Good BLT, gumbo soup, salad and a drink. For low budget food, its the best in town. Prefer this over Dennys and the like.

Completely new interiors, paint tile. Super clean, super efficient and excellent waitstaff. Comfortable, tasty reliable diner classics with some new items like chicken and waffles.

Good food for your buck, portions are generous. Unfortunately some foods lack flavor, my steak didnt have much flavor and was chewy. Prices are good, staff is friendly and attentive. Place gets crowded usually so there could be a wait. Plenty of parking available on their lot.

Slightly biased in favor of NORMS. They’re busy as hell, good hard working staff. Maybe a bit too chaotic at rush times. I’ve come here many a times after visits to the Kaiser hospital a little north of here. So yeah after any visit to the doctors, NORMS is a welcome sight.

Came tonight and was just horrible our waiter took a good 30min to take our order we didn’t get drinks till one of us where like can we get a drink menu. Famous NORMS is SOCAL... Really cool place for breakfast. Its super busy but they are fast getting you seated. Very nice staff, good food, great service and priced right.

Didn’t even get to eat. 1 hour waiting. I understand we had a party of 6, but know how to prioritize big parties since its easy to fill a table of two. Food would’ve been good, but didn’t have any management should take that into account. I won’t come here ever, and it’s fine.

Norm’s‼️ Norm’s is a “Stick to your guts” kinda’food. We’ve been to Norm’s from San Gabriel Valley, all the way West where Route 66 finds its end. We’ve been to Norm’s in between too. At this facility, parking is plentiful. The Staff is attentive and they follow CDC GUIDELINES for the covid19. The Norm’s menus is competitive and has good selection. I normally order the T-Bone (rare), 3 eggs sunny side up, rye toast, French Fries, and pancakes and wash it down with hot black coffee. My wife picks the Breakfast special or Baby Pork Back Ribs w/shrimp. We’re happy with NORM’S. Go try them. Thanks.

NORMS is poppin! Ive passed by the place for so many years and finally decided to go. I couldnt be happier with the place. Food is great! The prices are too. My little sister got a waffle and it was like biting into a cloud, so soft. Service is great, the staff is friendly. Just a really good experience all around. Definitely recommend!

Ordered the fish & chips and the BBB burrito. Both were dripping with grease and didnt taste good at all. The strawberry lemonade tastes like store bought instant powder. Salad was coated with dressing and messy. The gumbo soup was the only thing we enjoyed.

It had been some time since we had been here. Weve moved to the other side of the valley almost 2 years ago. I was pretty disappointed. The service was slow, the food was cold and burnt. The waiter acted like he didnt really want to be there. They used to be the go to place. We have been going there for over 25 years. I was with my family making us a party of 5 and bringing the total check to over $100. With the pandemic and quarantine we should all try a little harder to get along and be a little nicer with each other. Good luck if you choose to try your luck at getting a good meal!

Great family food place. The servers were friendly and the food was average. Going during the lunch rush means the further tables might not get piping hot food, but the atmosphere makes up for mild irritations. I would go back again, when its less busy.

Had a pretty good breakfast and saw that they had a dinner special. Dinner special ended up being a bust. They forgot to give us the sides and after we went back to get them and finally sat down to eat the food just didn’t seem worth the price. Plenty of entree, but no way the sides could “feed 4 or more” as it advertises.

Ordered a sirloin steak and got carne asada.. no ingredients on the baked potato not even cut open.

As I ordered i was offered a jalapeño with my breakfast I said yes but it was not disclosed I was being charged. I would have been ok to pay if it was disclosed at the beginning. I had the Bigger Better breakfast coffee and a small apple juice for my kid total cost $16.53 and the now add a 3% surcharge to your bill for doing business in California. The food was good

I have been coming here for some time now. 9/10 seems like you guys have it right. Unfortunately today I decided to try something new. But what I got in return looks nothing like what I ordered. When questioning the waitress, all I got was, oh we are out of vegetables 🤔

No pretense here. Just a good, old fashioned coffee shop with a wide variety of super food and good prices. Californias own version of a classic HoJos. Rarely disappoints.

A classic diner that’s always busy with chatter and delicious smells. The food is great and the staff are always very friendly and courteous. Only thing is this location feels a bit iffy at night.

Update: went to norms for an early dinner and we were disappointed in the food , particularly the main entrees this time around. My pasta had no flavor and it was greasy , the garlic bread didnt taste like garlic at all. The shrimp was ok but sadly the gravy on the mashed potatoes was extra salty. I think if the cooks took a bit more time to make the food it would of tasted better. The only reason I say that the food came out quick, one thing after another (wouldnt have minded to wait for better quality.). The positive was the service , and the jumbo soup was delicious.Decent food had pancakes and an omelette both good, lots of parking and for the most part good service. This time, quick and steady service during a weekday before noon.A while ago went on a weekend and they completely forgot about us at the table, wait almost an hour so we just left. So dont recommend to go during the weekend. Super busy, plus the wait before being seated can be 30-45 mins. Have had great service with a waitress from a late night/morning 3am once.

Horrible! It took them an hour to give ma a pick up order, and it was wrong. I never leave reviews, but today was such a horrible experience. I will never spend my money there again.
