I had to travel all the way here to Alaska to try an Smash burger....this might look like a fast food joint....but the quality of food served here belongs to a 4 start restaurant...I really enjoy this burger...I was surprised..and now when I see a smash burger place...I might have to turn the car around
Delicious burgers and shakes. I use the app to order and love the convenience. 4 stars instead of 5 because the estimated time is always longer than what it takes to get ready by 10 minutes. My burger is always ready before I arrive (within 10 minutes of ordering) when the apps says it will be ready in 20 minutes. If I picked up the food on time it would be cold.
Store manager Gretchen (anchorage) went ABOVE & BEYOND when my order was missing some items (not sure if it was DoorDash or SBs fault). I have covid on Halloween so my kiddo couldnt go trickertreating so all he wanted was smash burger but the wonder was missing a few essential items. When I called Gretchen fixed it immediately, even offering to deliver the missing items herself! We frequent smash burger and are happy to see their customer service was A+ when we had an issue.
Favorite burgers in Anchorage!So very tasty! Dont get a double unless you are hungry or usually eat doubles :). It was super busy and the server forgot part of my order (an added shake and onion straws) but resolved it with an apology and a smile. We sat outside in the HOT sun as we wanted outdoor dining. Tots are great.
In all honesty, I feel that this is very similar to a 5 guys restaurant minus the portion size. Just wish that the amount I paid for a meal was equal to the amount of food I received. Though the food was good I did feel like the patty needed to be seasoned. Not bad but also not notable.

Shockingly great... Inline orders are super easy and cook times are quick, 20-25 minutes.Love getting done with a hike/bike ride, calling in an order, then picking it up right on time.The customization level is pretty sweet too.Meat quality, per internet resources, is much higher than other chains. I can feel a lot better about myself for ordering this than the standard drive through trash.Smash tots are amazing too.
I dont know whats going on with this restaurant last 2 orders no cheese on the burger. My fav is the bbq burger and last 2 times no sauce dry and inedible. They used to be amazing. Over cooking the burgers as well. Quality control doesnt exist. Wont order again. Wasnt just an off night. They apparently have some major Quality control issues. It used to be so good.
SmasHBURGER not only provides a high quality product but a high level of quality control from the grill to the bag. I cant think of a single time that when I open the bag I found that someone did not pack what I ordered.

The restaurant, staff and food were all terrific but the on line system was a complicated disaster. Had to go through the whole process three times before I could get the order paid for and submitted. The Smashburger on line order site definitely needs a make over.
So they have all these people behind the counter and the tables are dirty in the dining hall. Smashed tater tots on the floor. Shesss. Done here

Service is a little slow with all the online orders they get, but the food is pretty good. Some of the better quality fast-food burgers and fries in town.
Thanks to the Army, I inhaled my burger. I cant comment on the flavor. But what I do know is that the BBQ Bacon cheeseburger single stack was filling.
Smashburger is always a great choice for a great burger. The service is very quick and the staff is always friendly. In at least six visits, my experience has been amazing every time. Highly recommend the shakes.
Smashbuger in Anchorage was just as good as you would expect from this chain. The food was served hot and delicious, and it was ready quickly the restaurant was clean and welcoming when I entered. If you happen to be headed to this restaurant, might I recommend the spicy Baja chicken sandwich with a side of fried pickles? They are arguably the best items on the menu.
Brought my food to the another table after the other customers opened and went through my burger and let the server know the server picked it up and brought it to my table when i told them i wanted a new one they walked away my wife being the relaxed one went to talk to the manager and they had it fixed only to bring the wrong milk shakes out. The food is okay but over priced here but there is no excuse for such bad service my family will no longer be going here.

Food is ok, but they constantly get the orders wrong. Asked for no onions, they take out pickles instead. Ordered a regular chicken sandwich, they give me a regular smash burger. Paid extra to add haystack onions twice. Both times they leave out but still charged for it. Get it together!
Over $7 for a 16oz shake is absurd. They do not do combos, nor do they tell you that, a couple burgers, fries drinks and shakes came out to over $50. Taste is great, but not worth the price given the fast food atmosphere. Sad to say I will not be returning.
It is has been a staple in my favorite restaurants since about 2017. When I moved to Alaska I was elated to know that one resided here. I have never had a burger, turkey too, that was bad. May be the first place I will a fish sandwich.
Smash Burger, Triple double? More like small burger. Very disappointed in the burger that I received. It was $8.50 (no other sides included) for a burger that would literally fit in the palm of my hand. Poorly constructed, with cheese that wasnt even melted. The place was nice and the staff was nice, but since the main point of eating out is for a good food experience, that is why I gave them 2 stars.

Solid service nothing over the top or extraordinary. But me oh my was the food bland as can be. Made me wish we had a Five Guys or In N Out than Smashburger. Far better places you can find a burger.

Every time i order online i didn’t get my order right, like today..i don’t want to give any bad reviews but it’s very upsetting because as in EVERY TIME our order is not right, i always order “add onion haystack”but you guys always put a regular onion,i pay that extra for that “onion haystack”and then i always “add ranch”for the chicken strips you guys didn’t put anything, and then many times when me and my husband go to there store to order we always order a strawberry shake,and then all of a sudden when we trying to open the bag in the car there’s no shake, it’s just really bad service…please change that, it’s very upsetting😡😫😫we’re not gonna eat here no more…
Good was great! It is a very popular place. My husband and I had take out. He grabbed the food while I entertained my two under 3 years. The Colorado burger was delightful and the fries both sweet potato and normal were phenomenal.

Gluten free friendly! They use Udi’s style buns or do lettuce wraps. Sub haystack onions for grilled and you’re good to go as long as you aren’t super sensitive.Is it the best burger in town? No, that would be Altura, but for a fast burger with gluten free options, it’s hard to complain.

Never again! Paid 12 bucks for a turkey burger with haystack onions and they failed to put the haystack onions on it. I called to get a refund but the manager said they could not do anything because it was DoorDash. Well DoorDash didn’t make the mistake- tge moron kitchen workers that can’t read and follow directions did! Not giving my money ever again to this incompetent establishment. What a rip off
Ordered food for my son and I and paid an extra $15 to be credited to my brother’s ticket who was there with his son as well. The cashier pocketed the $15. The worst part was he didn’t even put it in the communal tip jar to share with employees. He must have thought my brother would be none the wiser.Very disappointed in the lack of integrity...
Yesterday my family ate here. Everything was very good until I noticed both of my kids burgers were raw and very undercooked on the inside. I immediately brought it to your store managers attention and he seemed very unconcerned and annoyed when I asked him what needs to happen if my kids get sick. His response was that if that were the case then everyone that has eaten there would complain. He then told the staff to make another order of two hamburgers. When the new hamburgers got brought out they were fried almost to the point of dry. This morning both of my kids have diahrrea, I am hoping that diahrrea is the end result of all this. I am extremely furious how this situation was handled and how your place of business put my kids health in jeopardy. I have attached a picture of both of my kids half eaten burgers just so that you understand my frustration and health hazard. I sincerely hope this issue will be resolved promptly otherwise I will be forced to contact the health Department of Alaska or whatever agencies that need to be contacted. Ive also submitted my complaint to your corporate.
Overpriced decent burger
Food was good and cooktime was fast but food was kinda expensive
We got the 1) Alaska Crispy Chicken Sandwich: about as good as the buttermilk chicken sandwich from McDonalds from taste to quality, just add thin onion crisps, bacon and some cheapish cheese with few jalapeños. 2) Double Truffle mushroom Swiss burger: mediocre truffles, the best you could expect from a burger spot. 3) Smashtots: definitely tasted of rosemary. 4) Strawberry milkshake: my husband said trash, I’d say about like McDonalds.. pretty basic.All in all, probably won’t go back. They forgot the sauce we ordered on the side. :’(

A good place for a delicious burger
The food is so delicious you’ll love it. It’s not the regular type of burger that makes you feel heavy after eating. It’s the best type of burger in Alaska hands down 👏.
Burger was good but there was at least 5 people behind the counter. 3 placing orders on the table to be picked up and 2 taking them at the register and apparently not one can take an order over the phone? Stupid.
My first experience with Smashburger was great a couple of months ago - unfortunately today was not. The bacon double burger was too salty and the bacon was half cooked and rubbery.
I ordered very carefully because I have food allergies. Despite clear written instructions, they placed two items that Im allergic to on my food. Then they delivered it to me. When I called to ask them to either refund my money, or send me another burger without the allergens this time, they refused. I spoke to that nights hostess and the manager over the phone and they said they wouldnt do anything and that they were very busy and had to go because they had lots of customers. Thank goodness for my health that I checked the food first but I was out over 20 dollars.
The food I received was nearly inedible, not to mention I didnt receive all the items I ordered. The food was extremely salty and gross, I should have listened to the negative reviews

I waited over an hour and a half for my food. I know its a bad day and theyre busy but I would have preferred to been turned down than wait for this long.EDIT: Well, they gave me a refund and apologized for the 2 hour wait. The food was salty and presentation pretty meh. My order wasnt even accurate to what I ordered. Just go to Tommys Burger Stop, or McDonalds, if youre in the mood for a fast burger. Tastes better, costs less, and most importantly, you get it in far less than 2 hours. I did give back an extra star though since they refunded my purchase.

Annoyed at this experience. Gave me tomato even though I said no tomato. Makes me wonder what would happen if I was allergic. And my buddy asked for a bacon double smash and they had inputted a classic double smash.

They messed up my order and when I got past my smashfries, I found a double instead of a double truffle mushroom swiss burger. I brought it to their attention, they said alright, wait a sec and a few minutes later I had that savory delight of a mushroom swiss in my hands.Little too much, for a review? Its probably fine.

Always super friendly service. Need to. E more consistent with portion size of Turkey burgers. They are either spectacular or flat like inland out burgers in the lower 48. Ham burgers are pretty consistent by size and taste.
I really want to like this place. The food is great BUT in the 5 times I’ve been here, I’ve never received good service and something is always messed up with my order.It’s hard to recommend this place or want to come back when easy things are screwed up: orders forgotten or items delivered cold.
Nothing special. Took my family here and the food was overpriced for what it is. The avocado burger I had was extremely bland and the fries taste exactly like the ones from Carl’s Jr. Payed almost $7 for a small milkshake that my little sister wouldn’t drink because her chocolate shake tasted like chemicals. It was okay, but definitely wouldn’t eat there again. Felt like I could of just eaten at Burger King if I knew the quality was this way.
