I had already tried to get my AC fixed but failed. I went to Stacey and she was very kind and helpful. After a dye test, they replaced the Schrader valves on my service ports and now my AC is fixed and they didnt even charge me for the repair because the valves are so cheap and easy to replace.They also fixed my Wifes AC as well. We will definitely be bringing our cars here for all of our repairs from now on.Thanks guys!

My car broke down and I got towed to Stacy’s shop. It happened on a weekend and she came by on her day off to let me park my vehicle in the back. Not only did she do that she also offered to take me home since I was out of a car. I found out that Monday that I had internal engine failure and my car was dead. Stacy did not pressure me to get the vehicle off her lot and did not charge me for the diagnostic test or storage fees. I am so grateful I was sent to Stacy and she truly helped me when I needed it most! 100 stars if I could definitely get your car checked here they will take care of you like family!

They were fast and straight to the point. My car died suddenly and the AAA tow driver suggested Golden State. When the car was brought in, it was quickly assessed and they went right to work. One of the techs came out and immediately started to tell us what it could be. Stacy was great and processed my car quickly. From start to finish, I was back on the road within 2 days! These guys handled issues many shops wouldnt, and did so in record time. Jeff, Stacey, Dustin and Joe were all incredible, polite and did their respective work appropriately and carefully. Golden state was able to do my front alignment on my 2000 Lincoln town car lowrider. It is low to the ground and after being turned away from 4 shops, golden state took care of it. I recommend them for your lowered cars.

I went in due my drivers side brake light being out. All of the staff was very professional and helped to me to understand what the issue was, and how they were going to fix it, which was replacing my brake light connector. They texted/emailed me a detailed diagnostic with descriptions/pictures, which was the most helpful. I will continue to come here for my car needs in the future!

Initially, my Mom had her car towed here for an issue and I was impressed with their communication method, and how patient and professional they were. Great quality service at a fabulous price

As a long time customer who has spent thousands of dollars and have never had a bad experience it pains me to write this review. My wife is disabled and we live on a fixed income while covid 19 has locked down the state. We took our are into Golden State to take care of a major coolant leak and to look at a problem with the anti lock on the breaks. I was told the inspection fee would be $180. I made an appointment on Thursday for the following Monday. By the Tuesday it had not been fully inspected but I was told they pulled codes and found leaks in hoses. I was told to fix the coolant system would be $510 and $475 to fid the ABS. After no communication, which is a major issue with Golden State, I was told on Friday at 11am, I had to call them, to fix the coolant system would be almost $3 thousand dollars up from $510. The repairs are to expensive for what I can afford and more than the value of the car. I told them to button the car up and I will pick up the car. NO COMMUNICATION AGAIN. I called later that day and was told the car would not be ready until Monday. Monday comes ZERO COMMUNICATION. I finally get a call that the car is ready to pick up on TUESDAY and was told the price of the inspection was $579 and change. I would never had agreed to $600 inspection on a car with a value of $1000. I feel let down, and taken advantage of. I have taken over the last 5 years a total of 3 cars and spent thousands of dollars. They would not come down on their price at all. Golden State used to be a place I could trust to be honest. They will not communicate and have lost a long time customer. STILL NO COMMUNICATION FROM THIS OFFICE. THIS IS A 1 star not 2.

Never thought one could have a pleasant encounter with a tow company BUT I experienced one today. Not only was everyone I had contact with pleasant, they were understanding of my situation and helped me with everything I had to do to get all of my sons belongings from his car. The trunk wouldnt open and they stepped in and worked at getting it open for me... With a smile and pleasant conversation. Kinda went close to closing yet they remained professional and helpful. If you ever need a tow for whatever reason, these are the ones to call.

They said they fixed it and it wasnt I paid over $1k and now they wont call backUpdate I took it back and when they said to pick up it didnt make it off the lot. Had the tech tell me hes not good with any electrical type issues. 😕 So I paid near 2k now with the same issues and not fixed.Another update I had to call them for an up date because its been over a week and theyre acting like theres nothing wrong with it even though when the tech got in the car the lights were on and the steering would turn for him till he swiped the code

I highly recommend Golden State. I thought my car needed a tune up but after looking at it they said it didn’t. I am truly impressed by their professionalism and honesty. Most places would’ve probably said that I was in need of lots of unnecessary work. This was my 3rd time using them and I won’t go anywhere else!

Best Place to get repairs! Super cheap prices and high quality work, I went in for a serpentine belt replacement and they went out of their way to help me out with a belt issue I was having. Definitely will be going back for anything my car needs.

Finding a good honest mechanic is vital these days. I grew up where a family friend was a mechanic, and trustworthy. Moving cross country you have to get re-established somewhere, and find the honest go to mechanic. I discovered them through their towing service. And I have been with Golden State Car Care for at least 5 years now.Their waiting area is comfy enough. The IKEA rocking chairs are the best. And bring a book, headphones, computer to do work. They provide a good selection of coffee. Know that things take time. A couple of hrs if you want to wait. So you might have to distract yourself. A great Way to get work done or have some quite time for yourself. You can always leave your car, drop your keys off and they will call you when it’s ready. They provide a punch card for oil changes and AAA discount. I like & trust them. And will always have my business.

Initially I was not satisfied because communication that I would be charged for an initial inspection was not made clear to me even though it was explained on the document that I signed.I came in with a coolant link and my vehicle was broken down on the side of the road the tow truck came and took me to their maintenance facility.after the initial inspection was done I found it a complete diagnostic of my entire value vehicle had been done complete with photographs and a detailed explanation of the issues that exist on the vehicle this was very impressive and it shows and attention to detail. I would potentially consider having future maintenance done at this facility.

Excellent service and kind people

Unfortunately, the quality of customer care and communication has been depleting at this location. Calls were not returned regarding the status of my car repairs or additional situations (wrong parts etc). Not an experience I want to keep dealing with. Customer assistance up front, unfortunately, does make a difference. I question what the front desk communicates to the mechanics. Scary?

Do NOT use them or take your vehicle here if you care about or value your vehicle. Poor customer service. had an engine replaced there. went there after being refferred. It took over 3 weeks after they received the new engine to get the engine replaced. I was told it would take about 4-6 business days, 1 week at most. It ended up being over 3 weeks. No communication with me the whole time. I had to continually call in to inquire about the progress and why it was taking so long. Never could get a solid answer during the repairs. They are not willing to work with customers after doing repairs and taking their money. wanting to charge me to look at my vehicle and diagnose an issue that occurred while the vehicle was in their shop getting the engine replaced. they refuse to work with me to look into and remedy the issue.

They received my vehicle (07 Toyota Prius) after hours by AAA and it was secured behind lock gates which gave me relief. My car went dead and after changing the inverter I could not figure out the problem they ran a full diagnostic on all systems it was perfect. Then they took it a step further and had technician complete a full check list of all items I needed to save for and get repaired asap. YEAH!! I was so impressed. Then the same wire came lose I brought it back and guy fixed it on tight and did test run and all was perfect. They are very reasonable and dont take advantage of hard working individuals it was great.Thank your technicians they work so hard and are true professionals when I desperately needed to get back to work.Thank you all for your help.Isabel S

This establishment was very clean, professional and friendly. They did a very thorough inspection because I had an engine knock. Turned out to be a timing belt issue and Im glad I took it to Golden State Car Care because the sounds are completely gone and my car is running better now than when I first got it over a year ago. What a great experience! Im from out of town and my truck broke down. I Google a few car shops and found Golden State Car Care. After calling them up, they had a tow truck sent to pick me and my vehicle up. They said theyd have to keep it over the weekend so I called for a ride, they let me stay in the building (past closing) until my ride arrived. They were so kind and even recommended a nice place to eat while I waited. After just picking up my car and driving it back home, I can confidently say it drives better than before! Thank you Golden State for everything.

Friendly, professional service. Clean and organized facility that gives you confidence these folks know what theyre doing. I stopped in for some advice on how replace a fuse. Not only did they do it for me, but there was no charge. Thankful and impressed, I had them check out an oil leak that I was certain would cost .... well, cost. I was so relieved when I was told it was a simple fix. Last mechanic didnt tighten the oil filter. Ive found a new home for my repair and maintenance needs.

I had my car fixed here for some work covered by my extended warranty. They were fast friendly and also did an inspection to let me know other things my car needed. I’m impressed and will be coming here again for future work.

These Americans are racist towards German people and cars. they overcharged me for a service that DID NOT fix the problem with my car, they lied and made me pay for an unnecessary service. i ended up watching a you tube video and fixing it myself. The idiots that work here should stick to trying to fix simple american junk piles and not try to work on any real German automobiles. Very unprofessional shady place to do business.

So got my truck towed hTo this shop by recommendation. I would not ever take my truck here again. I was quoted over 3k to fix my truck and obviously said no. Turned out all that was wrong was a frayed wire and a 5$ coolant hose. I fixed my truck in 2hrs and they would have had me pay 3k. Now not sure if this is bad mechanics or bad sales but all the parts i was quated for where not needed aswell as they damaged a connection that i know was good bec i just had replaced my alternator and that happed to be a plug that needed repair. Ziptie worked just fine. Just to restate id take my vehicle somewhere else if i where you.

Fronted vibration. Diagnostic showed warped rotors, replaced both rotors and breaks. Truck is like new. Mechanic was vary knowledgeable and performed all work in great time. Cost vary reasonable.

An excellent job was done on the work they did. They made sure I knew exactly what was being done on my car. Jeff and Ed were extra considerate and helpful when I returned complaining that water was leaking when the AC is on (which is totally normal by the way). You should go to them!

I suppose it is a communication issue, but while they did replace the seals on my doors, they did not do all of them, as I was expecting.

1st time customer will not be a 2ndScheduled a 9 Am apt. We were told our cars Diagnostic will be done no later than 12pm.Around noon we went to check because we were right next door eating.We were met by an extremely rude woman who said we would get a call when it is done, and that our car is next in line (rudely)2 hours pass the car is still not diagnosed.We call to check on the car again and were told the guys is going on lunch and the car will be looked at after.We said no we want to pick it up. An entire day wasted.THEN when going to pick up our carThere was 2 women up front, 1 with bleach blinded expensive hair and one with matty bun.We were not greeted at all.We were not asked our names. The one with expensive hair ROLED HER EYES when we walked in. They just handed us our keys without confirming who we were. They could have handed us anyones keys and we would have had their car.They did not apologize or anything about not sticking to their appointment. We were treated like scum by those 2 women. I will be reporting this to the highest level possible. Those women should be terminated!

I own a BMW and had AC issue with my car! I was told by Jassica that they charge 49.99 for diagonistics. When I got in Justin charged 49.99 to do surface diagnosis (not sure what that is), the he said it will cost another 69.99 to do electrical trouble shooting (shady). Finally, he said I need to replace compressor and it will cost $2160.00 to replace compressor (what).There was another couple who paid 2900 for transition work. Felt so sorry for them (ripped off). Car wasn’t even worth 3k........lol.Called Dave European, they will replace it for 2.5 hrs of labor if I got the part ($314 on Rockauto). When I asked Justin , he goes Our overheads are way high and that is why we charge high prices......(go figure).Pls save your money, find someone else to work on your car.

Attention all women. There is one driver that is the most mysogonistic driver I have ever experienced in AAA towing. He gave me 10 minutes of turmoil. I contacted the company supervisors to report him and they didnt contact me back and I contacted the owner and he didnt contact me either. I wouldnt give the one star but there is no option for minus 100 stars. This company stinks. All women avoid them. Go somewhere else for your own protection and respectful treatment. Took my Ford 2004 F350 6.0l in because of low oil pressure at idle and hard to start. I told them it was the HPOP, they said they would check it out. After changing out the LPOP ( perfectly good) and not fixing the problem. I tried to explain to their tech that it was the HPOP, he was not going to change out the HPOP until he had changed/checked all to other parts in the low pressure system. I had them put my truck back together (charged me $819.00 for parts and labor to replace good parts) and drove to a shop who changed the faulty HPOP. Would not recommend if you have a Ford truck.

First off, the high rating this repair shop currently has is misleading, since many of the reviewers appear to have confused Golden State Car Care with Golden State Towing. Rest assured, this review is for Golden State Car Care.The number one issue with this repair shop is their prices! The second issue is the PRICES!!! The third.... shady business... cant trust them.Prior to doing any work, they demand to conduct a diagnostic, which is pretty standard, except the price. My car wouldnt start and had it towed to GSCC. Anyone with any sense could assume the starter needed to be replaced; however, GSCC charged $170 for that diagnosis!!! Gee.... Thanks for that.... Best $170 Ive ever spent.... In addition, I already had a diagnostic from another shop the previous day (the original shop was booked for the repair and was too far away from the location of the actual breakdown), but GSCC wouldnt accept the diagnostic from the original repair shop, insisting they conduct their own and charge the $170. In hindsight, I should have just refused, cut my loses, and paid to have my car towed somewhere else, but I digress.In addition, they were going to charge over $700 to replace the starter for an Acura TSX, on top of the $170 price tag for the diagnostic!!!I called AutoZone to price check a starter. A refurbished starter would run $204 and would be guaranteed for life. GSCC also quoted a refurbished starter, cant remember the exact price for the part, but would only guarantee the starter for 3,600 miles!! They also would not accept a part purchased by myself and not through GSCC, because that would mean they wouldnt be able to mark up the price on the part....Not to mention the fact that I also needed to replace my radiator (yes, I had a lot going on with my vehicle), and they wanted to charge over $165 for a diagnostic for a pressure test and wouldnt accept the other repair shops diagnostic for that as well....Needless to say, I decided to tow my car to my apartment to attempt to replace the starter myself, when I was reminded of the $170 diagnostic price tag... I asked if they could bill me and they refused to release my vehicle to the towing company until I paid the fee (I was at work at the Air Force Base at the time and not anywhere near the repair shop). I was stymied by the outrageous price, just to be told the starter needed replacement!! Again, Gee.... Thanks for that diagnosis....Upon my objection for the diagnostic price, Jessica (phone operator: not sure of her official position) refused to tell me what else they concluded from their diagnostic test, other than simply the starter needed replacement. She said they were not required to disclose any additional information from the diagnostic test they supposedly conducted!!! What business charges a customer a fee and refuses to disclose information concerning service charged?!?! A business that simply turned the key (car wont start) and said, oh, the starter needs to be replaced. Bam, $170 charge!! Very shady!!!Vehicle repairs are about trust, and I do NOT trust this repair shop, and no one else should either!!! They charge an arm and a leg for repairs and the longevity of their work is in question. Find another repair shop!!

The worst experience and unprofessionalism I have ever encountered in my life. Our vehicle was in their back lot under their care and $323.00 head phones went missing, they even had on their paperwork that yes the headphones were in the truck when arrived... they not only will not return my phone calls I leave for the owner Jeff Welch, they have charged now almost of a month of storage fees while I was waiting for them to resolve the headphones and now want to take the $323.00 headphones $ off of a over a $1000.00 bill that has accrued while I waited for them to get back to my endless calls and emails???????????? Needless to say I am filing a civil suit, I want my $ back or that billed lowered and truck released. How you going to do that to someone?? Just take your time just to finally say ok take your $ off your now month later bill??? Oh not to mention the front desk lady was so mean to us it was crazy......just an update, we went to court and he LIED out of his ASS and so did the shady lady that works the counter. I am not sure how these people sleep at night knowing how slimy they are!! Jeff Welch the Power Tripping owner lied in front of a judge stating he told me to my face when I was there to go get a police report??? Ummmm Hi Jeff the court date was my first time meeting you, hearing your voice, or having the pleasure to my MILLION attempts to contact you about this since last NOV!
