I love my Tacoma and despite being a wonderful vehicle, it does require occasional maintenance. I have been taking it to Tuffy on Fields Ertle for about 15 years and have consistently received thorough, reliable work at a reasonable price.Bob in particular is a great guy who knows my truck. I trust that when I drop it off he and the other staff will care for it with the same level of attention (and affection) that I would.I encourage you to give them a try.Truly nice people who take pride in their work.

Service was as promised. Follow through was spot on. Tuffy replaced my exhaust system in expert fashion. Throughout the entire process, they under promised and over delivered. I would take my car back there for future service.

Happened by on a rainy Saturday and saw an oil change special on sign by road. Service was friendly, fast, and reasonably priced. Mgr gave me list of mfrs recommended fluid changes with Tuffys pricing. No pressure to have extra work performed. Would recommend giving Tuffy a try if in need of car service.

Oh this is the place to go for auto service. They do a great job. If youre not familiar with Tuffys, you can always ask questions to feel more confident about your service. And prices arent bad either. And the staff is awesome too.

Where do you go when your car is having a bad day? Tuffy Auto Service on Fields Ertel Road! My car didnt turn over in my driveway; I called AAA and had them replace the battery. Started the car...check engine light is on...AAA tells me it is just a dummy light.After having a melt down, I drive the car straight to Bob (Tuffy owner) and Larry (loyal mechanic). They work my vehicle into their schedule right away to run the diagnostics. Their quick service and genuine care made it possible to still make it to my scheduled appointments on time. They truly saved the day.Its so nice to have a professional staff that I can trust who takes care of my vehicle needs as if I were family! A breath of fresh air in the service industry...always putting the customers needs and concerns first.

Great service with clear description of work needing done and pricing options

This is definitely the place to take your vehicles for repair and service. We had our vehicle to the big guys at the dealership Chrysler TWO different times, and they were unable to diagnose the problem or offer repairs. (And still charged us $250 in diagnostic fees.) I randomly stopped in at Tuffy one afternoon on a whim, with no appointment. After speaking to the manager, he immediately offered to take a look at our vehicle and literally spotted the problem with seconds of popping the hood - a VERY simple issue with the battery connectors that ANY auto repairman should have been able to see. Again, no appointment, and they immediately took my vehicle into the shop and had the problem fixed within 30 minutes. It just goes to prove that the big name dealerships dont always have the best service or knowledge. These guys were very prompt, helpful, friendly, and provided excellent service. THANK YOU, TUFFY!!

Great customer service give me information on a car I was looking to buy. They were very professional and honest.

They mailed me a coupon which they failed to honor. When I tried to redeem it for a simple oil change Mark indicated that he already applied a discount, if you consider $130 for an oil change a discount. They were very dismissive with my complaint. I consider their actions to be (bait & switch) deceptive. They will never get business from my family again. In the future, when asked for a mechanic recommendation, I will go above and beyond to steer friends away from Tuffy Auto Service Center.

I have had my oil changed by Tuffy Auto Service in Cincinnati many times and every time I take my car in for service, they are very professional. Bob always takes the time to listen to my concerns regarding my vehicle. Top notch service, professional and gets the job done right the first time. Highly recommended!

I have used them for alignment I do most of my own repairs on my cars, however I do not have an alignment machine. So, I took my car for alignment after replacing the lower ball joints on my vehicle. They did a superb job on the alignment. The two times I have taken my cars there to get aligned have never been this good. Very happy with the service I have received great great experience will use them again.

I called Tuffy Tire and Auto Service to look at my brakes. They were able to inspect my brakes the same day and were able to get me in the next day to do the work. Their price was fair and their service was great! They were able to drop me off at my work and pick me up to bring me back to their shop once my repairs were done. I would highly recommend taking your vehicle their for any repair you may need.

Great service! I have always had helpful and honest people at the front desk helping me and explaining my options for fixing my car. I recently took my 2003 Honda Accord in to get looked at for several issues and the guys at Tuffy let me know what I absolutely needed to fix right now and what was not urgent (or a safety concern) so I could stay within my budget. It was so refreshing that they were honest, when other mechanics probably would have just told me I needed to fix everything so they could make more money! I will definitely be coming back to this Tuffy!

Several years ago, a friend told me about the staff at Tuffy. I started to take vehicles to them and have discovered, time and again, that they go the extra mile: to make sure cars are diagnosed and repaired properly, to keep the price as low as possible and make certain (as much as they can) that the work is affordable, to care for and about me personally. I watch them do it with others. I tell them I dont like the reasons I have to come see them (cars are a pain sometimes), but its always a pleasure to see them.

My wife’s Jeep Wrangler had something know as the “ death wobble “. Basically once you reach a certain MPH the vehicle would shake violently. Jeep owners know watt I’m talking about. Anyway, she took it to another shop. A larger chain mechanic place that said they’d fix it. They replaced a few things and charged her a few hundred dollars and said they fixed it. One trip on the highway it was doing the same thing. Took it back and basically said something was broken. Fixed that part. One drive down the highway, still shaking. Went back a third time and said they couldn’t figure it out but didn’t want to give any refund or try to fix it. Out of their league apparently. So we took it to Tuffy’s and Bob and his team were able to fix the Jeep. Fix the “ death wobble” and was almost have of watt we paid the larger chain mechanic shop. Very knowledgeable and great people to work with. Would def recommend to anyone and will use again with any other mechanical issues on any of our vehicles.

New Year’s Eve my Check Engine light came on, on my 2003 Ranger and it was freezing cold outside. After calling Tuffy and getting the truck to them, they had it diagnosed, called me to explain the problem and fixed within 24 hours. It is refreshing to have this excellent type of customer service in today’s world. Thank You Tuffy for the excellent service and quick turn around, it was truly appreciated.

I took my car in for what seemed like a serious suspension problem. After a call back a few hours later I was looking at $2600 of work. But then the great customer service kicked in. They had called the dealership and found one part of the work was covered under a newly extended warranty so that dropped my total down to $1600. A few hours later I received another call. After beginning the process they found another portion of the repairs weren’t needed and my cost dropped to $800. My family has had quality work done here before but this level of honesty is how you create life long customers.

Hats off to Jeff and his technicians for doing such excellent work on my vehicles these past few months. I have taken two of my classic cars to Jeff for custom exhaust work and my truck for brake service. I could not have asked for better service and treatment. I have been bringing automobiles to shops for 45 years and nothing I have ever experienced tops the service this shop gave me.First I just moved into the area from Florida and needed tires. I went to the shop late on a Friday. They had to order my tires. There was no delivery available to the shop on Saturday but Bob the owner offered to pick up the tires himself and dropped me at my apartment and picked me up when the tires were installed. It didnt end there.Today they not only went the extra mile for me but at least 25 miles. I had a blow out on the highway and no way to change the tire. Sylvan looked into sending a tow truck for me but they would have taken 2 hours to get to me. Sylvan and Barry jumped into a truck and came and changed the tire for me and made sure I was safe.I can not say enough about how kindly and professionally this shop has treated me. I may be in a new place but Ive found my mechanics

The second snowstorm of this winter my brakes went out on me going home from work. The pedal all the way to the floor. No brakes at all! I had my car towed to Tuffys on Fields Ertel because a friend of mine told me how they would take care of me at a good price. They could have taken advantage of me since I had my car towed to them and was stuck there. But they really did a good job and saved me money! They stayed after they should have went home since they knew I needed my car and had no way home. They explained everything to me in a way I didnt feel like they were talking down to me since I am a woman. I really liked the service and will continue to go to them if I need anything else. I will also tell my friends that need anything done to go there also. Just like my friend helped me out letting me know about them from the start. It is really nice to find someone close to home you can trust!

Took my 2008 Jaguar into the dealer to have the brakes looked at...From walking in the door, everyone was courteous and helpful...gave me a fair price, and did exactly what they said they would. The owner Bob even personally gave me a lift back to my house so I wouldnt have to wake up my sleeping wife!!!! Will definitely go back!! Highly recommended...

Stopped in today for an oil change and they got me right in, but what was fantastic is that the mechanic filled all my tires with air (which was next on my to do list) without me even having to ask! I didnt even notice till I got home. Im beyond please with my experience here and will continue to come back, and bring in our other cars.

Our go-to mechanic, even though we live in Colerain. They are honest on expenses and quote you before doing work. My 72-year-old mom comes here for her car maintenance and they never take advantage of her. They will not attempt to repair something if they feel they are unable, and will stress it would be best to go to the dealer. I never worry when we take our cars here.

I took my car in for brakes & rotors in Aug 17 and spent $1100+ on the job at Tuffy. Fast forward to May 19, less than 21 months later, and my brakes are grinding and brake light is on so I take it back to Tuffy. They say that they can replace my lifetime guaranteed brake pads for $200 installation charge lol...yes you heard that right, when their lifetime guaranteed brake pads fail after less than 21mo., they want you to pay another $200 for install. That was just the tip of the iceberg though...I was then told by the Tuffy shop mgr that my rotors were pitted so badly they couldnt be turned and they recommended replacing them or else Id still have brake noise...so now the bill went up to $866!My cars original brakes & rotors lasted for 8 years and nearly 90k miles, but Tuffys parts lasted less than 21 months and approximately 25k miles. These are not quality parts they are using if they are wearing out/failing this quickly. So now I have nearly $2000 invested in brakes & rotors in less than 21mo! What a scam, they dont stand behind their quality parts or work at Tuffy...I mean rotors wearing out that quickly and cant be turned is ridiculous. I asked for an explanation of why their parts didnt last compared to my original parts and they couldnt provide me a good reason...it all comes back to them using inferior parts. If I could give zero stars I would as Ill never do business with these guys again. Its no wonder this is the only Tuffy store left in the area as all the rest have gone out of business

0/5 stars. Added one star because They did not screw up my oil change.I do not typically write negative reviews. However - this situation warrants one. I was having bad exhaust problems with my 99 Camry, so I brought it here for a quote.After an evaluation I was told that everything was bad on my exhaust including the catalytic converter & that an all new system was needed. Was quoted a price of $1,650 for everything. I told the manager that it seemed high and that I wanted a second opinion. Then began the high pressure sales tactics...I don’t respond well to those.Anyways, I got a second quote from an actual muffler & exhaust shop. Was told that if they could reuse my catalytic converter it would be $180, and if not it would be an extra $150 for a grand total of $330. That would be for a brand new system from the manifold all the way back to the muffler. In short, they were able to reuse the converter, and the initial quote from Tuffy’s resembles mechanic thievery at its finest. It’s no wonder car repair shops have a negative rap because of stunts like this.I highly recommend Spanky’s Custom Exhaust in Milford. Honest, hard-working, and fair to the chap just trying to climb out of a hole. =)

Our family has our cars repaired at Tuffy Auto Service on Fields Ertl Road for several years and always received good service from Bob Cordell (the Owner), his Manager, and his Technicians.

I first had my car repaired at this location a number of years ago, and would now not even think of going any where else. I have been back for a range of issues from routine maintenance/oil changes to some pretty major repairs. Every time that I went there I felt they were very frank in letting me know not only what was currently wrong and what it would take to fix it, but also good advise on what type of preventative actions I could take. As opposed to some other shops I had visited in the past I didnt feel pressured (or in the case of one shop whose name I wont mention feel threatened) to get work done less the car should fall to pieces promptly upon leaving the parking lot. Instead I was met with realistic scenarios and options on how to get my car back in pristine condition in a way that let me feel that I was actually an active participant in deciding the best course of action. Thanks Tuffy!

I got custom exhaust work done here as a first time customer, they are incredible at their work and will give you their honest word. A place you can truly trust. They are all great mechanics and great guys.

Stay away from this place! The counter guy, Mark Soriano, is one of the most arrogant people I have ever met. He told me at least ten times that he has been in the car service business for 40 years. Is that supposed to intimidate me? He talked down to my wife and daughter like they were clueless, and was generally unprofessional. We had $2500 worth of work done, had some issues and came back to discuss them, and this guy went off like a powder keg. He has some serious anger issues. He even went as far to disparage new Volkswagens. That is the type of car we were having serviced - great customer service! We still have issues with our daughters car from this visit to Tuffy. We have decided to cut our losses and go somewhere else to have them addressed. This was the worst experience I have ever had in dealing with a service person. By the way, the owner, Bob, seemed like a nice guy. I wish I could have dealt with him exclusively.

I have been taking my vehicles to Bob at Tuffy for more than 10 years. I have always received superb service from Bob, Jeff and all of the staff. One of my most recent encounters with Tuffy was after I purchased a 2012 Mailibu. Within a year I was having obnoxious loud ticking noises that were so embarrassing and should not have been occurring, especially with a new vehicle. I decided to take my car to the dealership where I purchased the car and after much frustration with Jake Sweeney, who could not determine the issue, I took my vehicle to Bob and his crew. To my amazement, they had found and resolved the issue within 5 minutes. This was a very simple issue with a pipe being too tightly hung, but Jake Sweeney could not find this even after three visits, several mechanics and a foreman all taking a look. Kudos to Bob, Jeff and the rest of the crew. Had a pretty uncofrtable experience here. Went here to have my exhaust looked at was quoted extremely high. Im not sure if they just didnt want to do the work or what. Front desk told me he called around for the best prices on parts but I was very close to the front desk and he only spoke with one person over the phone so Im not sure what he meant. Had my car quoted at another location (a tuffy) and was quoted 500+ less.

I should have stuck to my normal mechanic. Wanted to save time, so I tried Tuffy. This place is all about high pressure upselling and fear mongering. Ive never been happier than when I walked out the door of this place.

These guys saved my day!!! My lugnuts were so lose the guy at Tuffy was able to take them off with a twist of his hand! Is there a way to give less than 1 star? I never do reviews but have an issue with my car right now, was looking where to take it and was reminded of the horrible experience I had at this place - Tuffys - last fall. Too many details to go into - I remember being misled, prices being changed, repairs not done by time promised - but the issue that most angered me was a, I thought, high/expensive quote on a water cooler pump. I checked at Autozone/parts store and Tuffys was charging an extra $140.00 markup on a ~$200 part. It was just a reallllly bad experience all the way around for me at least.

Treated very fairly. Felt like a got a great deal and all my issues resolved quickly!
