Would recommend this crew and owner to anyone living in or traveling to Cincinnati. My daughter and I brought down in Cincinnati on 10-29-21 with my car overheating. We made it to this location and they had use up and going in less than 2 hours and that was staying passed closing time. This Arkansas mom thanks your crew from the bottom of my heart. Ok so i had to bring my car and proof that Car x did not do a satisfying job. The were to replace my Abs stuff, make a long story short I had to then after dealing with Car x abt the same issue they claimed was right NOPE I TOOK MY TRUCK TO BOB SUMERAL DOWNTOWN AND THEY REPLACED CAR X MESS UP, TOOK CAR X PIECE OFF MY TRUCK AND PUT THEIRS ALSO TOLD ME TO TAKE THE PIECE BACK TO CAR X LET THEM KNOW THE DEAL AND I DID. CREDIT MY ACCOUNT PLEASE CAR X MANAGEMENT. ALL CORRECT DOCUMENTATION WAS FAXED TO YOU PER YOUR EMPLOYEE MANGER DUDE AT THE FRONT DESK, ALSO I RETURNED YOU GUYS DEFECTED CAR PART . Had a GREAT experience with Scott & Mike (Shrimp) on Saturday 9/11/21. Had a flat tire & needed to get back to Illinois (5 hours away). They got me back on the road quickly & with great attitude. HIGHLY recommend!!!

Worst place I ever dealt with they stole all my tools out my car. Deck ripped out lied about bringing it in like that an I had proof AAA record all that b4 dropped off. I would never recommend that shop to my enemy

I had an oil change appointment made over the phone. When I arrived, my name was not in the system, but they added me on the spot. Right after me, a cute little girl walked in for an oil change also. They took her car right in, while I set there and watched. My oil change took about an hour... Good value through groupon.

The staff is always super friendly! They don’t push for you to get unnecessary work done on your car, as I have experienced in other shops. From oils changes to simply putting air in my tires these guys are great and make time for me.

This car shop is the best shop I have ever been to. Kyle was extremely helpful, he did not talk down to me because I am a woman as we know a lot of mechanics do. He explained to me what needed to be done and helped me decided what was priority. My car was extremely difficult and had to be brought back 4 times. Kyle was more upset about it then i was And he bent over backwards to make sure it was fixed and i wasnt inconvenienced anymore. He even called in reinforcements when he couldn’t figure out what my car was doing. I call him and he knows who I am. I was getting ready to go on a road trip and he got me in to give my car the once over just to calm my nerves. I recommend this shop to everyone!!! All the mechanics there take pride in their work and will do whatever they can to make the customer happy. Eat experience ever!!!

They’ve serviced all my cars the past few years always get me in and out in timely manner.

They never have my appointment even though I get a confirmation email and then I have to wait for a filter. Then I got charged twice as much as normal. I wont be going back.

Very good n fast service

I brought in my car to get fixed as the check engine light was on they told me they did an inspection and that nothing was wrong with the car. I asked to check again because I had known it at-least had an oil leak and issues with the spark plugs from another mechanic. After checking it again they confirmed that there was an oil leak and the spark plugs were burnt and that it would cost $1000. I decided to only fix the oil leak for $670 but asked them to check again for any other issues because I could barely afford fixing the oil leak, and they said no other issues. After it took 1 week to fix an issue that was meant to take 1 day. I picked up the car and after 20 minutes of driving it the check engine came back on. When I sent it back the next day they said that now the issue was that the car needs a new catalytic converter and that the part alone would cost me $1000. When I confronted the person I had been dealing with he claimed this is how it goes with fixing cars and you might not always know whats wrong. YOUR MECHANIC SHOULD REALLY KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE CAR THEY ARE FIXING. he also claimed that the car might have developed this problem during the 20 minute drive from CarX to my home. Would not recommend this place to anyone.Update: I contacted customer service several times; they are always unavailable. #Carxisascam

Good service at a reasonable price. No fear of getting ripped off, at least so far that’s my experience has been.If it’s something small, they’ll sometimes won’t even charge you. A couple times they fixed issues for free that other mechanics quoted $20 or more. The current manager, Cory is great.I recommend making an appointment first to save time.

The new guy Brendel was awesome. I had to bring my car in for some work axel, control arm etc. Also, i had to mention my brakes that was fixed about two months ago by Car-X had to bring my car back three times because of the same issue. Brendel was absolutely helpful and he made me want to come back to Car-X even after a bad experience.

Friend of mine, Tom is the manager, he did excellent work in a decent timely manner. Went for replacing all 4 tires and he found that both tire rods needed to be changed before they snapped. Thank goodness because I have 4 children who depend on this car as well. Drives so much smoother and we feel safe now as well. Thanks Tommy

Lance was awesome. He no longer works here. I will probably not come back. He is the only one who is honest about his work there. Every other time Ive been quoted a price its outrageous. Last time I was here, I didnt get work done because of the price. When I picked up my truck after hours. My door was not only unlocked, but it was open. With my keys sitting in the center console.

Jonathan, the manager, is great. I took my car in for an oil change and he noticed a problem with the right front bearing and hub, which was likely due to a prior accident on that side. No one else had noticed it before, and he showed me the problem in person. He fixed it for a reasonable price and also took care of some tire issues I was having for free. Definitely recommend this place!

Front left tire started making a funny sound this morning so took it in to get checked out. Jeff Tims was great - cheery attitude, respectful, listened to what I had to say, and gave me good advice. Turned out I needed my brake pads and rotors changed. Prices were very reasonable (shopped a little on Google to double check) and he made sure to apply their standard coupon. Didnt try to sell me anything else either which is always appreciated and helps me trust them. Turnaround time was also very reasonable - dropped off at 10, picked up at 4. Would definitely use them again!

I wasnt really there to get my tires checked or an oil change, I met a private seller there that was selling his car, he used to work there and he used the car lifter so I could see how clean the vehicle was underneath. I didnt end up buying it, because the settlement the other guys insurance gave me wasnt enough to pay for what the guy wanted.However, if youre buying a used car, that be a great place to meet a private seller so the car could be lifted up and see how good or bad it has truly been taken car of!

I have just left Car-X on Reading Road a happy customer once again. They have been my go-to car repair shop since I moved here in 2007, and have worked on my Jeep, Mini Cooper and Saabs. The manager, Bill, is one of the nicest guys youll ever meet - honest, upfront about repairs and associated costs and is genuinely concerned about each customer and their safety, should your car need something major. He treats you like you are a family member. The staff there has always been accommodating, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Anything from oil changes, tires, front end work, exhausts - you name it - these guys here are just some of the best. I cant say enough good things about them, and NO - Im not related or married to anyone there. This is a true, honest review from a real customer. I have a choice as to where I bring my car, and I always take it to Car-X on Reading. You should, too.

Just wanted to give KUDOS!!!Had my car worked on 8/25/15. Thought I had an Alternator issue and it turned out to be a much larger issue with AC Compressor. I really needed to get my car in and out before end of work that day. I was not able to have it on the lot when they opened, instead I had to drop it off around 10:30 am. Bill was great in that he and his team pushed to have it ready by the time I got off work. My car is running great with ice cold air. I would recommend Bill and his team to anyone.They are Rock Stars!

This location wouldnt be my first choice,I was in a pinch.

Called to make an appointment to get my oil changed and they ensured me they’d be able to get me in and out. It took them an hour just to get to my car and check it out, making my total time spent there an hour and a half just for an oil change. The staff was nice enough to me but I witnessed them being inappropriate and rude to another customer who was not happy with her service. I asked if I could have a cup of water because I was parched after waiting for so long, and they told me I could go to the drive thru gas station across the street in a bad neighborhood. The ironic part is their walls are lined with “Dedication to Customer Service” plaques. This all being said, I got what I went there for, and my car seems to be working fine after the oil change.

Every time I go to CarX they are professional, friendly and honest. The techs do great work and they are consistently doing quick, efficient work to my car for a reasonable price. They had to get a special tool to fix my car and they didn’t charge me a dime for it. Whereas a dealership would charge me an arm and a leg for subpar service. Thank you CarX!

So I called and asked upon arrival about time and was assured it would move quickly HOWEVER 1.5hrs later Im still here yet walk in non appointment oil changes leaves in 20 mins WHEN I confront this I get them saying they had appointments which the customers were right there telling me they did not and said he was doing good time on getting 2 tires plugged and put one on the rim again. I still am waiting as I write this for 1 tire to be plugged and pit back on. Oh and theres no coffee.***Full Disclosure They DID NOT charge me anything!!!! I let them know I was not complaining to get a discount and would pay but they did not want me to and we even left on a positive note. I really want to like this place even though I was frustrated maybe 1hr 20mins is reasonable IDK. They obviously do quick oil changes though. ****

I stopped in because I was trying to sell my car to a guy and the license plate bolts were rusted on. Having already failed to get them off myself and desperate to complete the sale and get on with my day, I stopped in to ask for help. The guy behind the desk promptly grabbed a vise-wrench from the garage and had them off within a minute. I really appreciate the help even though I wasnt there for service.

Been going there for years and I was never disappointed with the service. Bills a great guy and gives you an estimate before he repairs anything on your car. Highly recommend it also for the location.

Went in for (1) TPMS sensor that I needed replaced, took them two hours and still didnt fix it. Then referred me to a different location and forgot to put the old one back in my car (you need the old one to program the new one). After a long day it still wasnt fixed and I have to wait until Monday. This Car-X somehow managed to screw me two times with such a simple fix. I will be doing it myself next time and never going back there again.

The people there are very unprofessional!! Last Wednesday, my car cannot turn on, I went to CarX. The people there told me the starter is broken, I agreed to replace it for $640. However, two days later, my car cannot turn on again. I went there again, and this time the guy told me its the battery issue. I think I was fooled by them. Whats worse, after the replacement of the battery, I didnt feel like they fixed my car, I need to go to another repair shop tomorrow to re-check my car. I shared my experience with friends, they are all shocked! Is this the way CarX makes money?? I think this is cheating money!!

They did everything they could to fix my car and only charged me for a diagnosis when it turned out it was too much to fix; didnt even get mad when it took me 2 weeks to get it towed away from their lot. Super helpful, definitely recommended

This is the worst franchise, and i am beginning to think that they hand pick their mechanics. Right in the middle of African american community. This people do not have one single minority employee. I have been going there for almost 10yrs. Everything single time i expect a better treatment but its always the same results. I went there last time to change oil, they billed me and never changed my oil. I drove for hours before finding out. .......they have a new manager. He wants to restore the sites reputation.

One star is the lowest you can put, these guys are horrible. 3 times i went in for an oil change, 3 times i was turned away. If every bay was full i could understand. However im watching a 2 people in uniform standing at their toolbox. One playing angry birds. A car shop is gonna be a lil messy but the lobby should be clean. Save your time and give your money to a real mechanic.

The replacement tires needed were not in stock, Ronny called their supplier and 3 hrs after, they were delivered, installed and road-tested. You and your crew are a credit to your trade, Ronny!

Terrible customer service. Paid to have my right rear wheel bearing replaced, and it was replaced with a defective part. My car sounds worse now than it did before I brought it in for service. Will not be returning.

I had a complex catalyst-exhaust pipe job, needing them to loosen rusted studs that hadnt been touched in the 16 yrs I owned my van. And located wherd access was poor.they did a great job.

I have already recommended people to CarX of University/Clifton. CarX has been my one-stop car repair shop for the past 10 years. I like the manager Bill... good old guy! Sometimes the news isnt always good but whose fault is that?I have never been forced to buy any service... I was just told what appears to be wrong at the time I got estimates... it is then up to the individual to make up their own mind as to what they want CarX to fix!

I went in to get a punctured tyre fixed. I was charged $25 for the patch and was told that if the patch didnt hold I could buy a new tyre from them and have it installed without having to pay for the labor charges.The patch came off the next day while I was driving and car-x auto said I could get an economy tyre for $125. I checked online and the good quality tyres were for $86, let alone the economy tyres.Then I went to the official Honda service center and they put another patch for $14. This patch has been holding well for the past month even with highway driving.So all in all I had a bad experience in both pricing and service
