I wanted to acknowledge a wonderful sales lady by the name of Ninette at the Bell Fork store, who was absolutely amazing and who made me and my wife feel just like family. It is rare that someone could make me feel as good as she did even after departing with my hard earned money. She is a fantastic person and a lovely human being. We were truly blessed to have had her as our sales person. I look forward to seeing her again and you can rest assure, that she will be the first person we ask for at our next visit and purchase. A REAL TREAT!

We bought furniture from this place back in March and it is now June and we still have not received our furniture. When we call they give us multiple new dates and we those dates pass still we hear nothing. I do not recommend this place at all. Our sales lady was amazing but will not be returning. Also when we paid them they claimed they never received our money when we had proof from the bank they did. Once they found out what had proof they automatically found our money

I never leave reviews but felt this was necessary! The Wilmington office was great but we had to deal with the Jacksonville office for delivery and the purchase of one more item. The table came broken and taken back. Not one person called to let us know that a new one would be ordered or anything. I called and had to talk to 5 different people and not one of them knew anything! Waited for the salesman Jon to return from vacation. Called him and he said call back and ask for Jessica. Are you kidding me! Unbelievable! I told him how many people I already spoke to about this and that I was not happy. He said Im sorry you are unhappy mam but thats the world we live in today I called the wilmington office and spoke to one person who gave me the answers. Never, Never again will I buy anything from this store!!

We decided to visit Furniture Fair after having to cancel our order for a new couch at an online retailer because of a 4 month long back order. We chose to look here first because they have a warehouse so we figured it was our best chance of finding something in stock/ready for pickup, but we kept our expectations low as most furniture stores are in the same boat with their supply during the pandemic. Immediately upon entering the store, we were approached by Melanie who simply introduced herself and told us to find her if/when we needed anything and we were left alone as we browsed the store. We found the couch we wanted in the very last section of the store, went and found Melanie, she checked the stock, they had it and we completed our sale. We got a great piece of furniture at a really great price (they were having a 20% off sale) and we couldn’t be happier about that, but the reason our experience was so pleasant is hands down because of Melanie. She was so personable and helpful, far from the stereotypical pushy salesperson, and she made an effort to get to know our family and our needs. She was so kind to our young children that wanted to be anywhere other than strapped in a stroller in a furniture store and even gave them bags of animal crackers on the way out. Since we purchased our couch, we’ve had to contact the store 2 times for assistance/questions (no fault to the store or Melanie) and she was so helpful and patient both times. She remembered us, specifically what we purchased, and resolved our issues in a matter of minutes. Having a local business and real person, particularly someone like her as a point of contact when making a big purchase was an unexpected silver lining of having to change our plans. Next time we need furniture, she will be the first person we’ll be contacting. If you’re in the market for something definitely check Furniture Fair out and ask for Melanie!

Don’t waste your money on a Stearns and Foster mattress. I spent $1500 on a mattress I thought it was going to last me 10 years. A year and a half later it sinks 3-4 inches laying on it. It was so firm when I first bought it that I needed buy a topper for it the first few months I had it. A year and a half later It sinks 3 to 4 inches on it even changed sides And they’re both that way. Store associates came out but said the only way it would be covered under warranty was if there was a dip in it when no one was lying on it.So if you’re willing to spend $1500 on a mattress that will not hold it’s firmness and multiple chiropractic visits and adjustments because what it’s done to your spine hips back and shoulders then waste your money on a Stearns and Foster mattress if there had been a minus rating I would’ve rated it a huge minus. I’ve had $200 mattresses that were better.And if you don’t believe me read the reviews on Stearns and Foster mattresses I wish I had before I ever bought one.

My husband and I purchased a beautiful couch and we were very happy with our experience our sales lady told us over and over that our couch would be in at the end of the month and assured us that it would be multiple times before making our purchase. Well that was 13 weeks ago and I still DO NOT have a couch! I’ve spoken to 3 different managers over the weeks and they all say how sorry they are but have not offered a solution to better my problem. I would NEVER choose to live without a couch for 13 weeks! This is outrageous and I feel scammed, will we ever actually get our couch??? Don’t buy from here unless you feel like gambling, maybe you’ll get your furniture someday maybe you won’t.

I really appreciate sales people who arent pushy. Our 2 sales people gave us information and allowed us the time to decide. We got a beautiful leather love seat for a great price. The store is willing to hold our furniture in their warehouse until we can have it delivered. We had a very good experience.

On May 9, I purchased a sofa. At the time we were told the chaise was in stock but the left half of the sofa was back ordered until the end of May. They delivered the chaise the following week & I waited until mid June and still did not receive the left half of my couch. I called the manager and he acted snarky and short with me saying that 5 weeks isn’t a long wait time and they have no idea when they’ll get my sofa in. He said it could be up to 16 weeks which was never disclosed to me when I bought the couch. If this was the case they should not have promised me it would be end of May or sooner. I am still required to make payments on a piece of furniture I don’t even have and still have no idea when I’ll even receive it. It is now July and I only have half a sofa. I don’t think it’s fair I’m having to pay for something that isn’t in my possession nor did I appreciate the attitude the manager gave me when I nicely asked when I can expect it.

Friendly, courteous and knowledgeable staff. Looked for and purchased a recliner at a very reasonable price. Warehouse employees wrapped and loaded the piece on my truck within 20 minutes.

I went into this establishment w/ out any furniture at all for the apartment I was moving into. By the time I left I had found everything I needed at the time for more than a fair price. It was my first time tackling the challenges of furnishing my own place, so I of course was hesitant at times on if I was getting a good price at the quality I wanted. After reaching out to consort w/ those close to me & knowledgeable on the matter, they all reassured me that it was a solid decision based off the deal I had. I have to Thank the associate who I was referred to & who took care of me every step of the way, Mr. John Milligan. There was a lot of patience & understanding from him in assisting me towards everything that I inquired about or showed interest in. He was very thorough & went the extra mile to make sure that I was getting the best deal possible for what I wanted. Excellent Customer Service! I would definitely recommend checking them out for any of your furnishing needs. I will definitely be back to visit in the near future. Ask for John!

Absolutely great prices... Huge selections and amazing staff

The only reason Im giving them two stars is because I got one piece of furniture. Im still waiting on my other piece of furniture. They told me back in August I would receive it in September, but its now December and Im still waiting. The dates changes every two weeks. I dont think they should sell furniture unless they have it stock in their warehouse. It should be against the law for what theyre doing to people. By the way you still have to make payments even though you dont have the furniture, now how messed up is that. Dont buy anything from there unless its in stock or you will be just like me (WAITING). Good luck because lord 🙏 knows, I need some.

Went to 5 furniture stores looking for a chest dresser. My Sales man Jim was attentive, knowledgeable and not pushy. We made a selection at Furniture Fair and took it home the same day thanks to Jim.

Judi is absolutely amazing! From start to finish she took care of us, she made sure all of our family needs were met. 1 stars only because the salespeople we dealt with were very friendly. However, we think after doing 15+ years of business with them (off and on), this is our last time. Matter of fact, we know it is. Found the perfect couch for our new home, paid for a Uhaul rental and mileage (30+ miles), wasted 2 hours of moving daylight time only to get to their slowwww moving warehouse and find out our couch had been sent to another city! Thats gas and money we spent via Uhaul and nothing to show for it. The Manager had the nerve to ask if we wanted something else?! Our money and time back! 😡

Great selection, friendly staff and really good prices

We had an awesome salesman and purchased furniture that we love. We had a great experience with everything and would have given a five star review except when it came to delivery and problem handling. When our furniture was delivered the men seemed to be unhappy with their job, they were told when picking up old furniture that it had a screw that was exposed out the bottom and that we had a blanket under it to help keep it from scratching the floor, the one delivery guy completely ignored the request and slid the old couch across the floor leaving a huge scratch that now we are responsible for repairing as we rent the house. We refused to sign the paperwork, which didnt matter, we called the salesman who called us back the same day and said he was going to take it to his boss and we would be receiving a call back, no one ever called. So the purchase process and quality of product is awesome, but delivery and problem solving leaves little to be desired.

Stay away.... Ordered my son furniture back in first of May and was told all furniture would be in first of July. The did deliver the night stands, dresser and dinning table in a few day from purchase. The bed and chest has still not been delivered and salesman has told me that he had no idea when the remainder would be delivered the date keep changing every time we call them. The salesman has been trying even ask the owner to give them a frame and box springs so to get him off the floor but owner would not do a box springs this would have to be purchased. Our son in the military with his wife and child are there and sleeping on a mattress. If possible I would recommend you go elsewhere to purchase and furniture.

We were looking for a mattress and have bought here before. We were browsing and a nice man came out to us and asked if we needed anything. No pressure, he just answered any questions we had. Turns out, he was one of the managers, Jim Bullis. We browsed a bit in different departments and then back to the mattresses. We ended up buying a bed in a box ( a mattress that is super thin and then once out the box fully expands to a queen size. Craziest thing we ever heard!! Its the truth ... and we are extremely satisfied!! Great eay to spend a Sunday after church..come on in

The sales guy we had was friendly. Not pushy. They have a big selection of furniture. We left with a new dining room table and a living room set. No complaints about the quality of the furniture. Its a little over priced, meaning there are so many different furniture out here we could have probably shipped around a little more and found something else we liked a little cheaper. All in all we are happy with our selection and the experience we had there

If I could rate this place as a 0, I wouldnt hesitate on doing it! My husband and I purchased a sectional here back in December of 2017. After delivery, we noticed that the decorative pillows that were supposed to come with it, was not delivered and also, there was a huge piece of metal that sticking out of the couch and sliced my husbands leg open, plus the middle bottom cushion collapsed! We brought the issue to the salesman John and he said he would file a report to get our couch fixed and that we should hear something back from the warehouse in two weeks tops. Never heard from ANYONE. So we called and spoke with someone from the warehouse and he never filed anything to have the issue fixed! We ended up getting our pillows, which did not match the couch and the metal piece was stapled down. However, we have called NUMEROUS TIMES every month to get the replacement for the bottom cushion. We were told it would take 2 months max to get it. Its now July. My husband went to speak to someone AGAIN from the warehouse and the cushion order has somehow disappeared in their system!!! So we have not only wasted 7 ridiculous months for a cushion that never came and over $2500 on a piece of crap couch! NEVER AGAIN WILL I PURCHASE A PIECE OF FURNITURE FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! I WILL BE INFORMING THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU ABOUT THIS COMPANY!!!!

This was the best furniture buying experience Ive had yet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were not high pressure salespeople at all. We took our time, got the sleeper couch we wanted and the purchase went quick and smooth. We went right back to the warehouse to pick up our new sleeper couch and the folks there were friendly and fast. It came right out and we were on our way. So simple and quick, I couldnt ask for better service.

Very nice furniture store. The prices arent too bad, but if youre on a budget then you may want to consider somewhere else to shop. They have a crazy amount of furniture and a ton of variety, so running out of options isnt a problem. Happy hunting!

We bought our living room set and our bed from here. Great service and accommodating as far as pick up and delivery. When I picked up my couch, the back bottom was torn from shipping I assume. They took the couch back and ordered a new one for me. Would do business here again

If I could give no stars, I would. The salesman was extremely rude to us. We walked in 30 minutes before closing, not knowing of changed hours due to COVID, on the site it still says “closing at 8pm”. When approached by salesman about purchasing a product he said “good luck finding something, I’m shutting the lights off in 10 minutes”. There were other shoppers there as well. We were going to purchase a product tonight, but immediately walked out after this. Never in my life have I ever experienced such rude service.

Manager greeted me as soon as I walked in. Super nice, super friendly, super helpful. When it came to buying the furniture he explained everything that was in the contract (I financed,) and theyd even said theyd hold on to it until I could pick it up, as long as I needed them to. Made sure I knew exactly what I was getting into. Nice furniture for pretty good prices too, I def. recommend.

We made our purchase almost 3 years ago. We also got the insurance with extra warranty. Well a couch we bought was delivered messed up. One of the recliners was completely broken. We didnt notice it until later. For over 6 months we tried getting in contact with someone about the warranty and to file the insurance claim and no one would ever get back to us. The manager was so nice about it but didnt do much help. Now were stuck with 2 broken couches now. I dont recommend them furniture wise. However they have some of the best staff there which is the only reason I gave 3 stars. I wish something could be done about our couches but no one is helpful.

In my adult life, the only place that I have ever purchased furniture has been Furniture Fair on Bell Fork. Every time that I have purchased furniture, I have also purchased the extended protection plan. Over the years, my purchases have been claimed by ex wives, broken due to my own negligence in executing military orders, damage to the finish due to miscellaneous incidents, etc. I never contacted Furniture Fair due to any of these losses. On this specific occasion, I purchased a bedroom set a little more than a year ago. The furniture successfully survived a military PCS with limited damage to the finish, but this week, while moving it 6 inches to access a power outlet, part of the headboard broke which supports the side rails. I immediately found my receipt and contacted Furniture Fair. To my surprise, the extended protection plan does NOT cover that. The Extended Protection Plan only covers accidental damage to the finish, stated the furniture service department. Like if your spouse leaves perfume on the dresser and it leaks. Then when you wipe it up, there is a mark from the perfume. Imagine my surprise to learn that the hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars that I have spent on extended protection plans has been a waste. The furniture service department did suggest a local furniture repair service that I could pay for. Of course, Im military like most of the customers in Jacksonville, NC so I no longer live in the area. When I do return to Jacksonville, I have no intention of returning to Furniture Fair due to the overwhelming disappointment I have experienced from this unjust service.

Furniture prices are way to high for the quality of the pieces. Repair time/return time is ridiculously long. I had 2 cushions replaced on my couch and even though they had the replacement pieces already, it took over a week to get the cushions back. I also had a mechanical issue with adjustable base bed and it took over 2 weeks to get it fixed. I do not recommend buying from them. You can get better furniture from Ashley for a little extra money. Even Big Lots has better furniture.

Got a fantastic deal when my brand new furniture! The customer service was excellent and the selection was vast. Plus, the movers were careful with my new furniture when they came it at my house. I could meet be a more satisfied and happy customer.

I was in furniture fair on 2.20.18 we were greeted by a very nice sales lady.her name was Melanie Harrison. After telling her what I was looking for she showed me a chair like I wanted.then I was told by the sales manager .Mr Cooper that he would not break up the set and I would have to wait 6weeks to get one.I wont be back.the mgr was rude and tried to push me off on something else

They have a beautiful floor showcasing many options when you need to purchase new furniture. They also have a clearance section of items that is beneficial if you only have the need for a single piece or an odd item out. The prices are competitive.

If you will be moving EVER this isnt the place for you. We purchased a couch and a recliner from this company less than a year ago. The staff was nice and accommodating, we asked if us moving to the west coast would be an issue for their warranties and the extended one. My husband was being medically separated and drs told him he will need to elevate his leg for the rest of his life so we made sure we got the reclining seats we would need. Fast forward to delivery, they failed to set it the recliner up properly to the chair and within 2 months it was bent and sat funny. It took 3 weeks to process the repair, a whole week of that was attempting to get someone to even call back. Now, barely 6 months after that the reclining piece SNAPPED, whilst my husband was sitting in it holding our newborn. We are in Alaska now, but we called since we spent so much money on the warranty, they told us we would need to foot the bill (3x the price of the item for shipping alone) OR TAKE IT BACK TO NORTH CAROLINA. Pathetic customer service policies, they know they are doing a lot of business with military apparently they do not care. Now I have a useless lawn ornament and a husband who has probably messed up his reconstructive surgery from attempting to climb out of the chair.

VERY quick to sell you on the protection plan. Saying that if ANYTHING goes wrong with it (under their list) they will replace or fix the item.. but when this actually happens ot takes 5 months for them to act on anything, which then they will DENY your claim... VERY SHADY and FALSE ADVERTISING. We are very unhappy customers and will never return to this hoaks of a money stealing company.

Good pricing, check out your furniture before you close the deal. Had a sofa loaded on my truck, got it home to find problems. Had to take it back, no problem with exchange. But lost 2 hours in the process.

Very disappointed in costumer service. They kept bringing broken furnitures. They were quick in exchange but once I had enough of the couch that kept breaking they charge a freaking cleaning fee of $60 !!! Not kidding! A cleaning fee of $60. Not to mention when I told that lady on the phone Im not going to pay a cleaning fee for a broken couch, she got all rude and handled the situation very unprofessional. Instead of taking care of the issue once again we might end up driving again 30min to this store to meet a manager that doesnt have enough high ranking to decide. Yes a manager with not enough ranking to make decisions and the problem just gets pushed around! Who the heck is now responsible! Its been going on since awhile now and its still an unsolved problem. Its a furniture store. It sucks going in there because you have to walk all around the store to look at what ever youre looking for. Its not set up like it was when itchy was in charge.

Bought a dresser from them yesterday only because I would of had to order one from Ashleys furniture and it wouldnt be here in time. Hated the sales guy, I came in with my husband knowing what we wanted and what we were looking for. The whole time this guy was breathing down our necks and would not leave us alone. He was extremely obnoxious!!!!!!!!!! He was beating around the bush over a lot of different prices on dressers. My husband got mad and had to leave. I had to come back and buy the dresser alone and unfortunately he was the sales person who seemed to be the ONLY person in the store. While leaving he also tried selling us a sofa and bed! Told him plenty of times we didnt need those things, just a dresser. I will never ever ever ever return. They dont care about what youre looking for or helping you out, they just care about making a sale.

I guess Ill start from the beginning.Two years ago while building our house we ordered a refrigerator, washer and dryer from the Jacksonville location on Bellfork Rd. The appliances were to be installed before final inspection and were not. The day we moved in was Black Friday and still NO appliances. We have a baby and NEEDED our refrigerator! After several calls they agreed to deliver to us that day. Unfortunately when they got here they brought the wrong fridge, washer and dryer, it was all cheap crap that we did not order. I called the manager AGAIN and she said even though we placed a special order for appliances that were not in the store many weeks prior they somehow dropped the ball and never actually placed the order. We ended up settling for a refrigerator that they had as a Black Friday deal that was actually more than the one we originally ordered so we were pleased with how they corrected the problem. Now a few years later we decided to give them another chance and ordered a memory foam mattress and king size bedroom set. It has been 8 + weeks and nothing has been delivered yet. We were told it would be delivered one day between 12-4. They did not show! It disgusts me to know that we spent over 5 grand on this bedroom set through furniture fair. I will never in a million years recommend this company for anything! Their management is pathetic leading to pathetic sales representatives. If I could give a -5 stars I would.

Recently bought a memory foam mattress in which it was to help keep an individual cool at night. This mattress is the HOTTEST mattresses Ive ever slept on. Definitely not pleased with it.

Horrible customer service experience. Found the piece we wanted at reasonable price, however did not purchase because salesman continued to make assumptions about our lifestyle and was insulting. Will gladly pay higher price somewhere else than buy anything here.

This is the only furniture store in Jacksonville if you ask me. This store is off of Bellfork Rd, they have a ton of items on display and can order pretty much anything through catalogs. Every time we walk in we are greeted with a smile.We have been coming to this store and working with the staff for 21 years. The customer service they provide is impeccable! We are always helped right away and given the best deals. This is a store we have recommended to friends and family and will continue to do so.In the past we have purchased a house full of items and now a living room furniture set.The delivery service is also great, they come in set up and cleaned up and then they are on their way.
