Found this shop by using a Google search for formal dresses. The workers do minimal help, and its tough for me to communicate, as I cant speak Spanish very well. One of the associates was on her phone the whole time and ignored me whenever I asked questions. I needed a dress last minute and thought this was the last resort. Found a decent dress but it was stained with makeup on the shoulder. They said they can take the stain out, it looked OK when we left but the next day the stain was worse... after it dried it was a big black spot. They knew of the stain made promises they couldnt keep and gave me attitude over the phone when I asked to return it. It was 109.00 before tax.My fiancee took me to get another dress at Davids Bridal. We got 20.00 off and they assisted me to get a dress that fit better and was so comfortable for just 149.00. Their sizing is better and goes by your actual size and not a default S,M,L,XL.Since Original Dress store wont refund me, they can take that 109.00 and gfys.
The workers are so rude if you dont speak Spanish. We needed a dress for a sweet sixteen party in Del Mar. The lady there said shes too old for a quincenera and laughed at her, made my daughter cry as she walked out. Im fine with taking our money elsewhere. We needed dresses for 18 young ladies, and Im sure theres a shop who will treat them with more respect.
Made the biggest mistake buying a dress here. The ladies will lie and tell you it looks great just to make a sale.
I came here yesterday with my future sister in law to look at wedding dresses just to see what I like and what I wanted the girl that helped me asked if I wanted to try on the dresses I had in my hand on and I said yes and she continued to ask me when my wedding was and I said not for another year and she said it was too soon for me to be looking at and trying on dresses and then said I needed a face mask on while in the store with an attitude. I looked at my sister in law and as I was talking to her the girl says you can try them on but just those 2 because its too soon and you need a face mask and walked away 3 other people walked into the store and she welcomed them happily and serviced them no problem even though they also were not wearing masks. Safe to say I walked out and went to a more professional shop. hit or miss you might get great service or shifty service like I did.
Great service/ nice staff! I was searching for the right dress for my quince, took me a while to find the perfecr size/color, just as i was about to try on the final dress... they found the dress i was looking for! Absoulety a great place to go to!

I pre-ordered a dress and was told if they did not have it online that my money would be refunded. I did not get a refund instead they tried to say it will count as store credit. They do not have a big variety of burgundy dresses there. A waist of time and money.
Horrible customer service, my mom bought a dress for my kid, it didn’t fit her, we returned to the store, and they refused to give me a bigger size. I even brought my daughter to fit. Their response was all sales are final. I was planning on getting my dress here but I decided to take my business somewhere else. Plus the dress was low quality.

I been to this store plenty of times, and is where I ]ago and the quality was great. My friend is getting married this year so we went gown shopping at this store and for sure this store has great selections. As for the costumer service, yes the ladies can be moody, but if you have never done retail you will not understand. Plus costumers can also be very picky and rude. Lily was very helpful with us and let my friend try many dresses. If you have a special event or for your wedding dress this store has beautiful affordable dresses.
Never coming back. After an hour long drive I expected for this place to be friendly and would help me be able to get a cute dress, instead I got the oposite. Very rude and bad service, the lady’s assumed I was an XL in size and with how insecure I am they made me feel bad, when I’m actually a size Small, I tried on a dress and it fit me a bit tight I asked for a medium and the lady jus gave me the response of “I told you, your an XL. Your not that skinny” I left tearing up and after reading the reviews, I’m glad I’m not the only one with a bad experience. NEVER again coming back! Don’t waste your time
Very friendly, large selection of dresses. They carry plus size! Allowed my daughter to try on unlimited amount of dresses, not pushy at all. Would recommend to anyone looking for formal dress.
Went there yesterday, ladies were rude, prices went up $20-$40 for flower girl dresses since March. Cheap material. Owner pushy too. Not returning. Use to shop there past 15 years. No more.
Gowns and dresses well designed, the owner Emily is really attending t ok every customers needs! Its Covid tjats why quite expensive esp the adjustment fees...otherwise everything is perfect!.🤔❤

Don’t waste your money/ time here!I was there last month with a couple of other bridesmaids. The service was not that great. They only had a size small of the dress I wanted & an XS, in a different style. The materials were different, therefore I wanted to try on the XS in the style needed, before I placed my order. The lady who helped us wanted me to order the XS without me trying it on. I explained to her that it would be easier to work with a bigger fit opposed to a dress that fits too small. She asked me for a down payment and said she would order the two sizes in the style and color I needed them.2 weeks later, they called me to let me know that the dress was there. She had only ordered the XS!!! Of course she was not working that day! The lady at the counter said that they can’t order the dress without down payment (she only charged me for 1 dress, not both)I had no way to proof that I was promised two different sizes. I offered her name, the date and time when I was promised the two sizes, and she did not bothered to ask or find out with other employees. The dress fits too tight.On top of that, the dress was missing a clip and the belt string was ripped. I pointed that out and she said that she was busy and I would have to leave the dress for another couple of days to get that fixed. No apologies or discount offered. Also, she failed to tell me that all sales are final!!!! Screw me over for some commission!
Im going to make it short:Bad customer service. Not a good place to go if you are on a budget, you will get the cold shoulder.My daughter and I went to aboutique and found a similar dress for almost half the price that Orginal Dresses is selling them for. And was not discriminated against because of our financial abilities.
Worst ever! I bought a dress here and i went back to exchange or get. A refund because i had realize the dress was damage and there was parts that were ripped and the lady was very rude. You supposedly have 8 days for a refund and exchange. The lady did not want to give me either a refund or an exchange. She threaten me with calling security because i was being too loud she said her policy was not giving anything back and supposedly there dresses are good quality and new. She said the dress was wear out. And i have not use the dress since the day i bought it and she said i had already used it and it was damage and she was not going to do anything about it. Which is a lie I have not use this dress since the day i bought it.
I stood in line to ask for a question about trying on a dress and the lady at the counter didnt even greet or look at me till about 5 minutes after I stood there! She even let another lady cut in front of me. Once I got closer to the counter she was very unfriendly with setting up an appointment.
After calling I am convinced that I need to give this place a second chance :)

I had a very bad experience they are not customer friendly. As soon as I walked in the store I was not greeted I walk to the register to pick up dress and older lady is at the register looking at her cell phone in front of her computer stood there for about 5 minutes being ignored I even said hello excuse me but no response what ever she was doing on her cell phone was more important than her customers.

Very bad service, the person who received us behaved very rude and by force wanted us to grab any dress so that we could leave their store, in a store like that I should not see people like her.The girls were so eager to look for the dress they like the most and with that rude person until they take away the desire to step on that store ... we feel very uncomfortable. I hope and they fire her because it is not fair that she tries to the girls who went with theillusion of finding her 15 year dress. unfortunately I dont know his name but I think Ill go back just to know his name and save them.
PESIMOOOOOO SERVICE, as soon as we step on the place, the lady says to the other, surely they just come to waste their time, in that my partner gets to try on a dress and told me look at another thing thats cool, listen shamelessly as she says to her employee, because I found out that unfortunately she is the owner, she has already entered, and the fat woman where she is, referring to me, by looking at the dresses, we know the rules of care and we were wearing masks, I did not want to make a lot of fuss because she is a lady , but more empathy with clients Doña do not go overboard ...
