Walking to the Sephora kind a like a little gross make up pallets weren’t that clean it was really dirty the colors were intertwined and I wouldn’t feel safe even having a tester put on me to match me to my color but overall the staff was friendly they were helpful but I was just such a little chicken and couldn’t find nothing because it was kind of all ewwwwwwww

This is really one of the WORST sephoras you can ever go to. You walk in and the energy is already super off. The only guy that works at the store, I think his name is Robert, he is very very rude, not approachable and very stuck-up. You cannot get help from any employee without getting a sigh, an eyeroll, or they completely ignore you. It is so unfortunate because I live 5 minutes walking distance from one, and have to drive 15 minutes to another one just to avoid bad customer service. Truly do not recommend. It has been like this for YEARS. HIRE NEW PEOPLE.

I got up early because I know they are always short staffed and I’m always struggling to find someone to help. I got there a few minutes after opening and sure enough it was not busy yet. One of the staff started helping me and as soon as another customer came and asked for help, she began helping her and I was left there hanging needing a lot more help and totally lost. What bothered me even more was that it seemed as though she took a lot more time and care with that customer. I wasn’t going to take more than 15-20 minutes. I just needed a color match , a primer, and something to contour with. I needed advice and help and got there early to ensure I would be helped and just got pushed to the side. I ended up getting products that were not of my liking. The cashier advised me if I didn’t like the products I could return them. Sure enough I ended returning 2 of the 3 items I bought. The same cashier that told me it would be ok to return if I didn’t like the products seemed to get upset at me because I returned them and seemed to want to make me feel guilty that I did ! It was a bit awkward. They just werent the right products. I wish I would have just gotten better assistance. I would rather drive far to the other Sephora in town than go here when it’s literally 2 blocks from where I live. Just left a really bad feeling.

This place needs to fire everyone and start new because every single visit no matter who is working its the same thing. Rude and unprofessional employees. Every experience I have had there is just awful which is unfortunate because either I deal with it or drive it a further location because its clear whoever runs this location doesnt care. The visit before this last one I went in for an eyebrow pencil. Grab it stand in line and wait forever no greeting no Ill be right with you. Eventually the girl helps me and while Im paying is putting returns into a basket. She gives me my receipt and goes back to what she was doing. I never got my pencil. I start looking around thinking maybe I misplaced it and nothing. They see me looking and no one offers assistance. Eventually I say I never got the pencil to another worker. The one who checked me out says I gave it to her I say nope you didnt I dont have it she looks around then in her return basket and sure enough the exact pencil and color I bought is on top. They dont give it to me they call security and make me stand there for 10 mins while they review their camera and eventually realize she never gave it to me. Pathetic! Today I go and grab $200 worth of product and go to pay..there is a woman behind me just cleaning up. She sees me says nothing, I look around ..wait..wait and then say excuse me is someone on the register her response is I just got here Ill be right with you I was so annoyed by her response.. like wth does that matter!?! I told her you can acknowledge me and say something , and I dont know when u come in what does that even matter just the worst people and obviously not very bright who work there. This is pathetic jc penny and sephora

I honestly don’t even know why Sephora has lent out their brand to JCP. They literally have THE WORST customer service and policies. Without fail, it’s every single Sephora inside JCP I have ever been to. If you need anything, drive the extra few miles and go to a real Sephora. They actually take care of their customers. I have spent $3000 this past year there and they wouldn’t even let me exchange a $45 foundation that I had a skin reaction to. I will never ever spend another dime in a JCP. Not for their god awful, poor quality clothes or their BS sephora.

I called this morning to set up an appointment for a makeover, the person that answered the phone said that I would have to call later because her manager had not made a schedule yet, so she couldnt set up an appointment at that time. I called back hours later and the same person answered the phone she still didnt know what the schedule would be, once she called her manager she said that the time I requested they didnt have anyone available to do it, I asked what would time slots they had available and she still had no idea. Very displeased with the service. She didnt even offer to help set up an appointment at another location.

Sephora employee actually raised her voice at me in front of a bunch of people to reprimand me because I opened the top of a box to peek inside to double check it was the correct shade. Even my family waiting outside the store heard her! So incredibly rude!! Never going back to this Sephora again!!

Horrible customer service!! I asked for help with Kat Von D face makeup and the guy hands me a mirror and tells me to stand in the middle if the store!! What the hell?? Very disappointed in the people that work here! Also, store is very dirty!! Never going back!

Every time I’ve come to this Sephora in Chula Vista I’m always disappointed. The staff will not offer to help you unless you are Hispanic. Like seriously, I never get helped when I am there even after making eye contact and asking for help several times & I’m not exaggerating.

This is the most disgusting Sephora I have ever been in, I dont know how they stay open as far as health codes go, dirty kleenex on the makeup tables, overflowing garbage. Items are available, but in the drawers so you have to search for yourself. I wont be back.

I came in today to this location and one other time and omg! The service is as horrible as the first time. They have the worse customer service ever the employees are snobs with no cause lol theyre rude they try and sell you whatever!. Things that are not even relevant to what you are looking for. I will seriously never go in there again. If you are looking for a sephora in chula vista the one. To go to is at plaza bonita mall and otay ranch town center (if its still there). I have never had a bad experience at either they have always given me the best customer service. This sephora was just convenient to walk in to I was walking by after having lunch with my sister but never again ugh

This place is a disaster there are no products stored and many you have to look for yourself in the drawers, apart from being dirty. The girl had good attention but the man who is is rude and unhelpful. I do not recommend this branch at all. Better to go to a real Sephora 📍🤨
