Been shopping here since I was a kid. Recently went in to spend my money locally on a BBQ. They had one left of the model I wanted. As they were bringing it out, the box was broken and falling off of the BBQ, and the BBQ itself was worn and looked like it had been used as the display model. I asked the owner to work with me on the price a little, but he refused. I took my money to the ACE hardware on East Ave and spent it there instead. Seems to me that in a time when big box store dominate the market, that a small local business would work a little harder to keep customers. I still shop at Colliers, it just left a bad taste.

A true classic. Great for both hardware and housewares. The kind of old fashioned hardware store where you can get pretty much anything you need for a project - and get exactly the amount you need. 10 screws? A 4 1/2 ft. piece of pipe? No problem. Also, SUPER COVID safe.

A little bit pricey but super fun to walk around in. Love their Chico product selection! Ill definitely be back with more money!

I love this general store! Ive been coming here since I was a little girl. It has so much to offer and its just to cool. I went in today to get some stuff to clean my sons skateboard grip tape, a stick of belt sander cleaner and a soft wire brush...to cool! And then checked out some quality cookware! I just love this store!!!

I love this place! Its a little like stepping back in time when you walk in. Wood plank floors and long customer service counters are a throwback to the old general store days. They have a great mix of products and I have yet to be turned away empty handed when looking for something unique, be it a one- off piece of hardware no one else carries, or a fancy kitchen device Ive never even heard of until my wife asks for one for her birthday. Its just always an enjoyable experience shopping here.

They were quite helpful and are attempting to get us the right hinges. Becky was our clerk and was quite knowledgeable.

Unfortunately I had a really bad visit. I couldn’t get much service and the service I got seemed like I was bugging the girl on her phone at the register. Pretty expensive too.

Collier hardware has a great selection and if you spend enough time in the store you will find something you didnt even know you needed. Like today I found they have a great section of bike lights and blinkers I didnt know they carried.

Every effort made to get you what you need or they try to help you get it elsewhere.

Not only is it as local as you can get, its a chico icon for businesses. Box stores are over rated, these guys have everything you need and nothing you dont need. You cant beat the staff or the prices

The BEST place to go for your hardware needs. This place has only gotten better over time and is the most traditional hardware store I know in northern CA. Its as comforting as moms meatloaf and apple pie.

Its a FACT that if you cant find it anywhere, you can ALWAYS find it at COLLIERS! Esp. that key that no other hardware store has the master for!

I have always loved this store and go there frequently but I am very disappointed to hear they are part of Chico firsts war on the homeless. The local boycott of stores that support Chico first puts me in the dilemma of going to a store I love and supporting a boycott I think is justified.

Collier Hardware is the antidote for indifferent big box hardware stores. I shop here frequently for materials for art making and I’m often trying to figure out how to engineer my projects. There is always someone available to answer questions and brainstorm solutions. They know what they are talking about and are patient, helpful, and creative thinkers. They are also well stocked with everything from kitchen items to hardware to just about anything you’d need to care for your property. We are very lucky to have such a resource in Chico. Wholeheartedly recommend.

My favorite place to shop for hardware and many other home improvement and maintenance goods in Chico. They have the friendliest staff and always have just what I need even when the large warehouse stores come up short. They carry everything from kitchen accessories and bakeware to the normal hardware store supplies and accessories.They were the only local store where I could find a replacement old delta model shower valve when mine was leaking. Highly recommend.

Clean displays and helpful employees. Bins and bins of screws, nails, bolts and washers for that special size you need.

I love this place! If I need something hardware or household related this is my first stop. In my old hometown all the real hardware stores got squeezed out by the big box stores. Dont let this gem go Chico!
