I purchased the chicken breast today. It turned out moist and juicy.I also got fresh peaches and nectarines. I love August, so many wonderful fruits and vegetables. I look forward to slicing into the Tuscan melon.A good variety of vegan items.I wish Oroville had a S & S organic produce! It was worth the drive. I will come again.

I always love going to this little gem of a grocery store. Their meat and seafood selections are very good and on point. The staff are always smiling and ready to offer assistance if necessary. Its a bit expensive but when it comes to good food Ill pay the extra for great quality.

This is a great little natural foods market, and I come here whenever I’m in town because they tend to have most everything we get at our Co-op at home plus a huge meat selection. If you’re needing supplements...this is definitely the place as well. Enjoy!

This has been my go to grocery store besides the farmers market and I couldnt be happier!!! The employees are kind and helpful while being so knowledgeable of the store; able to point me to everything I ask for which is amazing!!!!! I love the baskets they have available and had to get my babe to grab me some! The food is delicious and my body feels much better since Ive began coming here!! I havent tried all the cool things here but I am very excited to!!!At the meat counter there is so many yummy things; I love the wild rice and mushroom stuffed chicken breast most so far but their steak and chicken cordon bleu is amazing!!!

Came here for the produce and deli, stayed for the beer! An amazing and consistantly diverse and fresh selection of crafty brews in addition to a friendly and knowledgeable staff. Well worth a weekly trip

Always great, meat is excellent. Tea selection is on point. Pricey, but worth it for the most part. Only issue with product selection is that many mainstream grocery stores have a lot of the same organic items for cheaper. Sandwiches are wonderful but small

The worst. I used to shop here all the time not no more. Asked about a product and got the rudest service. I will tell you all to go to the other whole food store down town. Better and way kinder. At this store you get people that is so sick up not worth my time or my hard earned money to spend in a store like that. Never again.

I want to like this store but its too inconsistent. It promotes itself as locally sourced, yet many of its products are low quality commercial brands. I realize not everything can be local, and Tin Roofs haphazard delivery is not their fault, but at least get other bread that is not rubbish. (Franz makes fake sourdough bread and slaps Seattle Classic Sourdough on the label.). As someone pointed out, often their vaunted produce is available elsewhere for cheaper. Few options in the refrigerated section that are less than a mortgage payment. All their Goop-style beauty/health products are overpriced gift items taking up lots of space.

Rude employees who act like everyone is shoplifting. They made me dump my purse out and when they saw I didn’t have anything stolen, they didn’t even apologize. Plus the store is incredibly overpriced. I’ll never go back.

Food is delicious! People are awesome! Grilled Veggie, tri-tip sandwich, or even a hot dog is the best from this place! Salmon sandwich is also a good one. Its a great place to put on your rounds. Lastly, they carry unique products for treating yourself or for giving to others.

My partner wanted a special steak for his birthday so I contact their butcher department having little to no knowledge of steaks. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I ordered a special cut and they had it ready for me a couple hours later at an affordable price. And the entire store smells like zen if zen were a scent.

Stopped in and bought me a mask, they didnt have the same one as I bought before but this one is also 6 bucks cheaper, very comfortable as well. Comes in different colors plus they had others to pick from. Was quick to get in and out, always friendly service there.

Pleasant atmosphere, fresh fruit, fresh veggies, fresh meats, and all of the organic, thoughtful foods you can imagine. Our go to for new recipe ingredients. It also has the regular stuff if you just need some pantry staple fillers.

Large vitamin and supplement department with staff readily available to guide you to the right products. Great salad bar. They even now have grab and go sushi from Japanese Blossoms. A true Chico gem.

I have been coming to S&S produce since 1977. I always enjoy my visit here because I know I can get healthy products and fresh fruits and vegetables. The staff is very knowledgeable about nutritional supplements and is willing to help, all you have to do is ask.Theres an old fashion style butcher shop in the same building where staff gives personal attention to customers and helping in their choice of meats, poultry, fish and Seafood. You can get the exact amount you need and they will package it up for you after weighing it. They even have a salad bar that you can buy by the pound.Also be sure and order something from the snack bar where they can prepare various sandwiches and meals for you. I had salmon it was absolutely delicious. They also have a vegetarian selection.

The butcher shop is well stocked with fresh meat and tasty standard creations like cordon bleu. Great sandwiches and a go-to salad bar with unique ingredients. Good fresh fish selection at prices reflecting quality. Health foods, veggies and sauces all high end quality and price. Supplement and cosmetic section superb. Nice staff. Have not been to bbq but i heard its good. Nice variety of healthy and avant garde drinks.

The best in Chico. Simply the best. We do all our shopping at S&S Produce and Natural Foods. Its like having our local farmers market 24/7. We love the steaks and seafood especially, and the other day I had a barbecue sandwich that was out of this world. I am proud to recommend S&S.

Great sandwiches ...At the butcher shop. The meats are excellent and the product as well. We stopped here every time we visit Chico.Its a city treasurer.

Wont be going back. Cashier was great, but the two ladies in the vitamin section were rude and clearly stalking me thinking I was shoplifting. I should not have spent the $50 I did there. I hope you both fell bad about yourselves for that one once you check your security cameras or talk to the cashier about me.

The meat counter is really excellent.I went in wanting a steak but being overall clueless. The guy at the meat counter helped me in finding one and wasnt afraid to tell his honest opinion about what was the best way to prepare certain cuts.

Great selection from meat and fish (butcher shop) to fruits and vegetables to spices, grains, coffee, teas, spices to personal products vitamins etc. Friendly knowledgeable staff, senior discounts. Prices are bit higher than the chain stores, but you get what you pay for.

So fresh and organic and well-run. I go here as often as I am able to; its just a good bit more expensive than Safeway/WinCo, so I am not always able to afford the extra cost. Its worth it though. Local business with friendly employees and delicious, fresh (super fresh) produce and meats. All the meats are locally sourced and should surpass any of your expectations of a quality cut.

A little expensive, but the quality is great on produce. The meat market has lowered their standards, the mahi was spongy and had no flavor, the fillet was tough, grizzly, so I try to meat from the farmers market now. I recently bought the Booty underwear. Its expensive as most bamboo products are and the fit was very uncomfortable. They cannot be returned for a refund. Be careful if you buy them.

I am a herbalist and was a frequent s and s costomer until as of a couple months ago when after purchasing goods from s and s I was chased into the parking lot by a employee .my hands full of purchased goods I turned around to see what was the commotion was about.she yelled across the parking lot demanding I tell her where the stolen goods were.at first I believed I was being profiled because I was wearing my old painting pants and top .looking back at the situation this woman began following me the moment I walked in.I often wear a (head scarf which resembles a traditional hijab when I am out .I believe by the way I was treated this was an instance of profiling Bethe because of my assumed income or religious belief. I no longer feel comfortable buying from s and s .many of my friends and relatives are boycotting the store .I suggest people take into consideration the way shops treat thiwr community before handing them money

This is not a restaurant (its a natural foods store primarily, with a butcher shop), but you can buy food (including the salad bar priced at a level to sell) and eat it on outdoor tables in the front of the store. I shop here for the produce and natural foods. If this store were in another city, say Santa Cruz, I would have given it a 2-star rating, since Santa Cruz has sooo many better natural food stores, but since basically there is only this store and Chico Natural Foods for natural foods, I give it a 3-star. Would be lovely if they expanded to a store the size of a Safeway or Raleys. And if youre a senior you get -10% discount on the food, but you have to ask for the discount.

With the name S & S Organic Produce it was surprising to me that the ratio of organic to non-organic was about average.

The deli is gross. It smells like rancid meat all the times Ive been there. I bought a sandwich there once and not only did they get the order wrong, the sandwich was cold and made me sick to my stomach.

The staff are always friendly and very knowledgeable.Its always a pleasure to shop there.
