Couldnt find the shoes I was looking for. Found a staff person (after two had walked out in front of me) third person saw me Trying to say excuse me I askedd if that was all that was in stock.. He was very helpful.

Like other JcPenney stores, the aisles were cramped with clothing laying everywhere. I like to shop at JcPenney because they offer brand name items at good prices, but some sections of the store were a mess to walk around and comb through what they have for sale.

Nice store with nice slection. The staff was pretty much nonexistent and when you did find someone they were pretty rude and not helpful.

I had the best time ever buying my Grand daughter a Disney princess dress and shoes to match.

Except for the occasional wandering kid on the escalator, JCPENNEY still has todays fashion and yesterdays looks if you want. Suits are reasonable, and so is the ladys wear.

Mens department for pants and suits with matching pants difficult to find in certain sizes. Rest of the store is well organized.

This is my go to place to find professional looking clothes for work or an interview. Thongs are always reasonable priced.

Terrible. It really amazes me how customer service has gone down hill. Rude staff and them not hiding the fact they dont want to be there and not wanting to help paying customers. I know I wont be returning to a Penneys anytime soon. I went to Penneys in Yuba City, CA yesterday and one in Chico, Ca today. Both had terrible customer service.

The staff was very helpful. The sales were great. I bought 2 boots and a pair of shoes for 85.00. Everything was almost 95 % off. It was a great deal.

Old, dim, smelly, messy . . . disarray.Those are just a few of the words that describe the JCPenneys here at the mall in Chico.I was surprised to find exchanging some Levis for the proper fit was difficult to say the least.Even with receipt in hand and tags on each pair it was a challenge. One of the pair was missing the price tag, oops! No return there. Another I washed and found they no longer fit. Oops again, apparently if you wash them you cannot return them. Really disappointed.No more Pennys for me. Ill just shop online and avoid the outdated department stores of yesteryears.

Jc’s always has that toned down affordable and decently nice selections to bounce ur creative wardrobe ideas off of. Picked up a nice belt I had been looking for. 👌🏼 assistants were polite and not pushy which is great.

Kinda messy store. Had to dig through piles of various Levis jeans on tables to find my size in the styles I wanted. Waited about ten minutes to check out at one of only two registers open.

Its slim pickens. In just about everything, including staff to help you find something. I wont go back.

My go-to place for decent clothes for my size and always great sales. Hoping they dont close this store down due to bankruptcy.

Ive always enjoyed shopping at Jcs they have the best blue jeans and the best prices .Everything they sell is the best .From clothes and shoes to anything you would need for you and your family.Plus your home.

It was nice to shop somewhere else for clothing other than those other places. The store was organized and clean. Alot of history for this particular store.

This store has lots of room for improvement.When I was up stairs looking at clothing. As well as cotton hand towels & wash cloths. Trying to find an employee to assist me was nearly impossible then when I was informed I had to go downstairs to try them on.I was by myself in my wheelchair with clothing I wanted to see if it fit. This store expected me to roll downstairs(they do have an elevator) with a lap full of clothing and hangers plus trying not drop wait in line down stairs.that was not going to happen.When I wanted to pay for the hand towels & wash cloths my jcp card was giving me trouble so I was going to break it between 2 debit card and they said that I could not do that it was at that point I lost it.and left cash was not good enough for them. I have been a jcp card holder for for over 45 year how can you treat customers like this.This store has on numerous occasions been informed on violations of American with Disabilities Act Access standards& ca title 24 building 24 access code and the blocking of the main aisles to enter and exit with so much product & shopping carts displaying and selling items items on the lower counters that are there for pwd to write checks and ppl at for their items.You have lots of of room for improvement.

In a nice mall but dont shop there

Big jcpenneys but I was disappointed in their stock and supply of times. Felt like this was spaced and gapped out especially close to the mall entrance. Other areas seemed overly packed. Went 2x and the 3 of us didnt find anything we were looking for but inside the mall didnt disappoint.

Good sales, lots of choices in womens clothing, following Covid protocols. Only one register open but be patient. it moves fairly quickly

Curbside pick-up allegedly requires the JCP app, no one picks up the phone. Inside, the place is so tired and feels like a run-down thrift shop.The only saving grace are friendly and attentive employees.

Lots of variety to choose from even toys. Employees were helpful and pleasant. Comparable prices.

The salesperson(Melissa) and the manager(Liz) where fantastic! We purchased a new matress and base. They put in alot of time and effort to to get us an amazing deal. They both exceeded our expectations in every way!

They are far understaffed. Waiting for a min of 30 mins in lines that wrap around the store because they only have one register station downstairs and one upstairs is really frustrating. They need more registers open, especially this time of year. Their sale signs are lacking as well. With no way of knowing what is on sale and no employees to ask or kiosks to check prices, its fairly frustrating to shop here.

The only place I can get clothing for an extra tall person.

I called in advance from out of state to arrange for somebody to help my grandma find an outfit for her granddaughters wedding. I spoke with manager Kristina who was more than willing to help and very kind. My grandma was very pleased. She said Kristina sent Liz to help me she spent 1 hr. 45 min. with me -- she was really wonderful -- could never managed it all without her picking, choosing & helping me change clothes -- a wonderful experience Thank you!

Didnt have a good experience. My best friend is living with me due to the fire. We have different accounts but all my point and email went to her. I called to get this straightened out from last time. I will no longer be using my Pennys card. This is my home and email. She has her own card and no email. Everything goes to her. No happy.

Im a long time customer, but when I went into the store today I was disappointed at the lack of stock in the store- almost half normal. I asked an employee why the store was so sparse and he indicated the CEO wants it that way for some reason. Makes no sense to me. Half empty stores make me uncomfortable.

We love this store...they have some pretty amazing prices on items from clothes to furniture. Very neat, clean, stocked. Personnel is helpful. Their clearance sales are exceptional. ..they dont put out ripped or dirty items like some stores. School uniforms are great at end of school because you can get plenty of uniforms. Stop in you wont be disappointed.

Stars given only based on the Big and Tall section. Its verry hit and miss for myself. Not a lot to choose from and some very generic styles. But most of this is just my personal opinion. Overall, not bad. My Wife loves the makeup store here.

Quickly in and out, prices better than Walmart. Can pay your bill at the same time and location. Still the best place to get fluffy socks for the ladies and tough garments for the guys

I really love the quality of what I am paying for. I will gladly pay 20+ dollars for a nice shirt if I know its going to last. Everything seems pretty clean. I do wish their were more chairs in the dressing rooms that were nice and not cheap little metal ones.

How is this place making money every time I go in there theres like five coupons I can use and I end up walking out with almost more money that I went in with okay well thats an exaggeration but lots of great deals check them out if you havent already I mean who doesnt know about JCPenneys?

This is a pretty good location, most of the employees are usually helpful and friendly. I shopped every where for interior window coverings and got nothing but the run around and high prices, I finally went to jcPennys and got everything I was looking for for half the price of anywhere else. I highly recommend going here for any of your window coverings

We purchased quite a bit, mostly womens & young childrens clothing. Nice choices & a very good sale. Everyone was helpful & polite. We enjoyed our shopping. Been here many times & will return when were in Chico again.

A pretty decent store, actually. Lot of options. My main problem is that the plus-sized section is located upstairs and completely separate from the other womens clothing. There was no directory of what was on each floor, so I almost left because I didnt think there WAS plus section. Why does the mens big and tall section get to be with the rest of the mens clothing, but not for the women???

Poor service for customer pickups. You gave to wait in line sometimes up to 15 minutes.

There was no one around to answer my questions when I was looking at their shoes. Also, the store was so crowed with stuff, it was over whelming to be in there in the first place. I also found it annoying to walk from one end of the store to the other just to get up stairs with my stroller. Other than that, the prices where not too bad and there were a lot of cool things, I was just too whelmed to actually buy anything.

They actually carry a nice selection of slim-cut dress shirts and often run deals that make them rather affordable. Good tie selection too. The shirts are of pretty fair quality, which I have not had from some other stores of comparable price.

Sales staff were knowledge and clothing items I was purchasing for give without him there and they helped me look for all my coupons in my email. I was even greeted by not 1 but 4 different sales staff (all in different departments) with a smile.. Restrooms were all clean & stocked

Typical JC Penny location, lots of inventory available. Staff were friendly and helpful, fairly knowledgeable about their products. Decent amount of inventory and selection available. Make up counter is extensive, and jewelry counter decent. Prices are better than many clothing store options.

Love the clearance but staff people arent friendly seeking look moody a lot . Theres a few that are nice though and dont go in the store to return or exchange something then realize you dont have your recite or youll be accused of possible doing wrong.otherwise

You wouldnt believe the GREAT DEALS TODAY. Before taxes my total was $365After my discounts it was less. Then I decided to get a Pennys card and saved another 35%.My total $137.07Saved $240.20AMAZING!

The only two things I will complain about is how hot it is in the store and the womens dressing room not being handicapped compliant. There were also clothing racks parked in the entrance to the dressing room so we could not get in there at all with the wheelchair.

JCPenney is a good well reputation known store with great quality products and clothes their staff is somewhat knowledge in their job some of them do it just for the paycheck and some of them actually care and go out of their way to help customers with their concerns and trying to purchase items and clothing they have good quality products they always have for centuries I give him 5 stars

Return line....15 customers in line & only 1 checkout. Lady at the register has been with the same customer for 20 minutes & still going. Line is building. 🤬

Terrible..customer service in the lingerie department. Lady Cashier couldnt count back change and the male manager was just as confused and rude. Use to be a nice store now its way cluttered upstairs. Older gentleman in the bedding department was helpful and COULD count back change correctly and a great sales personality.
