Went to the Ned Ledoux concert last night, and by far it was amazing. The bar itself is pretty damn cool looking. Beer was a great price, bartenders excellent, security great, by far an awesome concert and bar. What ever low stars were given for this place is not true. 10 stars for everything this bar is about. Beer, concert t shirts, hats, and 2 records was worth what we paid last night.

I will never forget the night that this place hosted a Smash Bros Ultimate tournament. It was like watching two worlds collide, on one side of the room was nerds playing Smash Bros on about a dozen televisions, and on the other side were guys with leather jackets and beards sitting at the bar just watching everyone play. Truly an amazing experience that felt somewhat like a fever dream; they also have incredible burgers, and a very friendly dog who walks around the store.

Was a great place for a date! Went there for Karaoke night and it was a great atmosphere. The staff there was very friendly and helpful with anything needed. Definitely looking forward to going back again!

The food was garbage, not what we were told we were getting. 3 big fillets of fish per serve, not what we got. Expensive fries, as the fish was inedible.

Starts out ok, until the Bar allows your C.C. info to be stolen and someone charges over $500 on Cigarettes , Waltmart and Lowes (8/30/21)

My order of alligator was a bit small, and one piece was completely inedible. My wife, on the other hand, got a huge order of fish and chips that was fantastic! Both orders came with some great fries, and the service was great!

Good wood fired pizza is hard to come by in chico since pops closed down. The tackle box has nailed it and even raised the bar. No other pizza maker in town can stand up to this pizza pie pioneer. Thank you for this pizza. We will keep coming back for many many more pies!

A super fun place to hang out. A great outdoor area for cornhole and horseshoes. I loved the love music and had a good time watching people dance. Everyone was friendly and the bartenders were never slow.

I was there pre Covid SO happy to report theyve remodeled and have an open area in the back.

Not what I expected from the name of the place. Pool tables, good selection of beer, stage for bands and a nice dance floor.

Saw Kottonmouth Kings and Twenty Dollar Prophets. Good size venue, good bar with good service, tried the pizza and it was good. Parking was lacking, road signage would be helpful, but for the show we saw, Tackle Box was perfect.

Love the new renovations. Happy to see both bar rooms open again. So much more space inside and out. Food is Amazing as always!

Went there on a Saturday or Sunday morning hoping to have some breakfast. There were a few people sitting at tables and there were a couple of large dogs timing around inside the dining area. That should have been when I left but we stood at the front counter anyway waiting for someone to seat us and we were totally ignored by the woman up front who was on a cell phone. She never made eye contact or let us know she would be with us soon didnt say go have a set. Nothing. She walked to the back then came back to the front. We took the hint and have never been back.

Tackle box is the absolute s*** without the stink especially if youre enjoying the DJing of Andy he is the ultimate DJ and has the best microphone in the world for karaoke. And Lord have mercy the first time Ive ever had the most delicious barbecue tri-tip sandwich with the fattest steak fries ever the food is so worth it singing eating cant beat it!!

BAM! HOLY COW! A very big applause to the owners owners creativity. This place looks awesome. Although there is no inside seating, they have created a bar you not only can drink at, have some good food at, but they a pool table outside and covered, a what looks to be a 100ft TV outside, horse shoe pit, corn hole, ladders... its just awesome!

Nobody is social distancing and because the way its set up now due to corona its impossible to do so. You are literally outback in a weird ally surrounded by cars? And their was a $6 cover charge. Not enough tables and seating for how many people were there. The food menu is limited right now but the margarita was excellent.

Solid place. Ive visited Chico hundreds of times but never made it out to Tackle Box until last year. With everything thats going on, Tackle Box was set and prepped with a decently sized outdoor area. So that was definitely a bonus while most every other bar is either closed or closes early.

Loved the menu! Alligator, frog legs, etc. Lots of things you dont normally see on a menu. Large dance floor and bar games too. I had fun.

Love this place. Relaxed atmosphere, all ages welcome. Delicious garlic fries and wings. Miss the pre-covid line dance, karaoke and swing nights.

Good food. And good staff love the mushroom burger as well as the fried mushrooms which is in the picture i havent tried any of the other food items but I will be going back to try them again soon the atmosphere during the days that I went was pretty mellow not very many people in there which made for a quiet meal.

I have eaten there twice. The first it took 45 minutes to get my burger. The burger was good. Tonight I went back and this time it took 50 minutes. My burger wasnt warm. It was no where close to being rare. And I got two 2 bottom buns. For spending 20$ I would think I would at least gotten a top bun and a bottom.

Tackle Box bar and grill is an interesting place, cowboys like it there along with farmers and anyone in the agriculture industry, buckets of peanuts in the shell are available upon request, exotic items are on the menu, like frog legs and alligator. 2 pool tables are available and the bar has most of the popular craft beers on tap. One star is missing for the possible 5 star because the back area is apparently being remodeled. But this place still might impress an out of towner.

I am giving this place one star because theres nothing lower than one. I can forgive the monotone service as they took my order. Didnt give us much direction on how we would receive our food. The blond bartender took our drink order practically right away which we appreciated however the drinks were off and tasted horrible and wasnt drinkable. A waste of money for both rounds my group and I ordered. An hour later and no sign of our pizza. Once we gave up and wanted our money back, they were very rude to us and even rolled their eyes thinking we didnt catch it. It was our first experience there and were excited to give it a go but we can say we will not be going there again anytime soon.

Great foods, great staff. The owners are amazing and really care about patrons and the City of Chico. They support Butte County the surrounding towns, and CAL fire. A welcoming, friendly place for families until 9pm. Then adults 21+ until close. Best music venue in Chico!!

The guy in the yellow was Too Short. He performed for to give to the camp fire victims for two nights. Not a bad venue. First time going to the Tackle Box and enjoyed my time there. They also had the kitchen open pretty late, I think till they closed. 👌

Went in there tonight Feb. 1st, to pick up an order through Doordash. Never been in before, but being in there for the short time I was waiting on the order, proved all I needed to know. Girl who was making the pizza was really good looking and friendly, waitress was friendly, bathroom was clean, and the band was good. Have to go back in when Im not working. Told the customer to order there any time

First time going here, but definitely not the last time. Employees seemed really nice and the food was good and affordable.

Very Good Food. Burgers are great, and I really like the chicken fingers with fries, appetizer. Great selection of beer. Love the environment. Weekdays are perfect for more intimate dates, while weekends can be crowded but nice place to socialize. Again, the environment for me is key: everyone seems to want to have a good time with friends.

Had a fun night here last week! A local band called The Decades was playing and the dance floor was packed! It was mostly a mid to older crowd in a casual blue collar atmosphere. 2 pool tables. $10 cover, full bar.

Like this place. I get to work here making lunches for firefighters. They let us use space here for so fire. The food is great...very friendly and nice staff...a very easy going and comfortable place to be. Th eres live music ..karaoke and other fun things going on there. ...a must go place..

The tackle box was fun! It was your typical bar not super clean but definitely not as bad as some of the bars Ive been to!! There is a live cover band and they were all right. Will definitely be going back!

Bar with food. Very good food. My Chicken fried steak and eggs was over the top home cooked comfort food and enough to feed 3! Over easy eggs are actually cooked over easy. My wife had biscuits and gravy, while it was delicious, the serving size was amazing and she ate 1/4 and had to stop. Excellent bloody Marys!

I went in to get inspired. For a new book. And it has nice location. The band was okay too. There is a dance floor. Staff were nice. I may go again.

I really enjoyed coming here for the first time. Which just so happened to be last night. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The beer was a little steep. Other than that I loved the place. I plan to come back to this place.

Its been years since I stopped in last and I must say they have done a lot with the place. I was impressed and also surprised. I will return in the future.
