I may have only been into one art shop in Chico so far, but this is definitely my favorite art shop so far. Staff was extremely helpful  with helping me pick out new things to add to my art supplies.They listen to me talk and we figured out what I wanted and I left pretty pleased with the experience overall. Im new art, so I cant  really rate the prices, but I left feeling pretty good about my purchase. Check them out if you are looking to explore your art side. Thanks for all the help!

I love this local art store, they had everything I needed for my watercolor project. And such lovely, helpful customer service too!

This place has been around forever. I have always loved and respected them. There seem to be a new, younger girl there. Maybe it was just me but she seems a little disrespectful to the older guy when he was showing her how to do a specific kind of order for a school. It felt a little uncomfortable but my daughter didnt seem to notice. Otherwise, my favorite place to get art supplies.

Used to love Ellis Art but can’t seem to find one open during posted business hours lately. Have been to multiple locations to find them closed even after checking their hours online and Facebook to make sure they were listed as open.

Really nice people but the hours of operation for this store are all over the place. At least three times I’ve stopped by to purchase some art supplies during there posted times of operation but the store was closed.

Wonderfully stocked Art supply store. So many more calligraphy supplies than I am accustomed to seeing., nibs , holders ,papers , inks too many to count... and such a wonderful staff!

Staff has always been helpful when I go there and Ive always been able to find what I need aside from some niche things such as Citadel products.

I usually buy needed supplies at Ellis Art. Maybe a bit more then the chain, but that is what buying local is. Giving money back into the community and supporting local businesses. Besides, the staff there is knowledgeable and willing to help with decisions on products. If you need art supplies you will more than likely find it at Ellis.

A cool store with damn near everything you might need. Good prices as well.

Really helpful staff. Their prices are a little higher than Michaels/Joanns/Blicks but to me its worth it to have someone working who knows what theyre talking about. Excellent specialty papers, they also have art and drafting desks in stock.
