Super cool store with a great selection of high end streetwear and military surplus.

Cool joint with an even cooler selection. Karen and Sam were especially helpful and friendly, and the only reason I need to drop it down a star is that they didnt have the most choices in jeans, and it was hard finding a pair that fit me just right.

I bought a stussy finally five months after i live in chicago

Was looking everywhere for some sold out Vans I wanted and found them on the Belmont Army website after doing a google search. Ordered them and they shipped super fast, even during the polar vortex apocalypse. Got my sweet new Vans and love them! I’ll definitely shop Belmont Army online again.

Sells new clothes, hats, shoes on the first floor, and surplus army gear in the basement. Their new items can be a bit on the pricey side, and the surplus items cannot be returned. That being said the prices for the new items are still what you can expect for the Milwaukee Avenue trendiness.The staff is friendly and let you look around without bugging you every ten seconds. Please note the sizes of the shirts tend to run on the small side so if you normally wear a large you may need to get an extra large or a double extra large.

Im glad to see this place up again. The modern clothing is stylish, but Im drawn to the vintage military clothing, which is well priced, and in good condition, given their purpose.

I like this place! Has a great selection of men/women clothes/shoes and stuff. Many brands not sold elsewhere and not, IMO, expensive. Great sale items too. Not too sure on return policy: BE SURE TO ASK! Stop in when on MKE Ave. Forgot: will hem your new jeans GRATIS!

The staff was very friendly. I was looking for a particular item, they knew what I was talking about but they did not have it in stock. They were able to provide alternatives which was very helpful. The prices are very good considering the products frequently just look unbranded without looking cheap.

Very nice and clean selection of military surplus items. Lots of European military surplus clothing. Rucksacks, gear, gloves, etc. Rare items you dont see everyday. Good prices.

Smaller than other location. Nice selection though. The surplus is in the basement. I was searching for a commando sweater and I found them, just not my size. Has a lot of US and European surplus clothing and accessories. Make sure your try on the European clothing, since it is sized smaller that American clothes. Nice service staff. The cashier may not want to mention their political beliefs during checkout. Just a suggestion.

Great store that carries some great brands. Their price point is a bit higher than most places but the product is top notch. I wish they were located closer to the Damen, North Ave, and Milwaukee intersection. It kinda out of the way than the other shops in this area.

Pretty much what you would expect, with a solid twist of Avant-garde type of a set up. Its its own experience. You would have to go there to understand. Its very difficult to explain in words karma on paper, or via phone or Electronic reading. Its something you would have to talk to somebody about, or just go and see it for yourself. Definitely is solid spot!

While upstairs may seem like it is just your standard yuppy, overpriced, clothing store.... downstairs is where happiness happens. Their basement contains a consignment shop filled with used uniforms, pea coats, shoes, and authentic vintage cloths. Unlike some shops they actually let you try thing on; and their prices are fantastic. A go to location for USABLE and UNIQUE vintage clothing.

I love this place for random one off dresses (that I can afford!). Not as much stuff (and seriously lacking ladies footwear!) as their Belmont location but great clothes and great vintage downstairs area.

The staff here were super helpful in finding me a belt. I had lost mine at airport security and I needed one badly! They directed me immediately where I wanted to go, and even cut the belt to length and melted the fraying edge for free. Will definitely go back because I lost my Brixton hat and I know they sell them here!

This store is clean with a varied selection split over two floors. The basement is primarily military surplus from around the world as well as leather jackets. The main floor contains a variety of clothing and accessories. This store is smaller than the main location on Belmont and does not have separate shoe or vintage clothing areas.

Great store, great clothes...I only wish they had more womens clothing.

I was in the store this past saturday...walked by 3 employees at the front counter. As I walked by i was completely ignored. I paid no attention at first, so I continued to browse. Time goes by, no may I help you? Is everything Ok? Nothing. Moments later a white couple walks into the store, at this time its only me and the other couple. As soon as they enter they are greeted and assisted. Now mind you, Im a 40 y/o African american, well dress, Im a professional. Now I begun to see the difference on how subtle , unconscious white privilege works. Passive discrimination in Chicago, retail no less. Its ridiculous. I routinely shop in the area, I drive up from Champaign, IL, but a authentic Chicago native. I actually when to high school in Chicago, most young whites that now live in Chicago cant say that. As I left the store I asked the 3 employees why they wished / choose to ignore me. It didnt surprise me that they had absolutely nothing to say..weak, rude or racist. You take your pick. Either way those people should not be in retail. I will return to the store to get more answers, maybe speak to the GM, usually fruit doesnt fall to far from a tree. I will inform a network of comrades about my experience and post the surplus to a store of listed whites only retail establishments.
