Professional, fast and competitively priced. Good at communication and asking questions to get the job done right. It is worth it to have them do the packing in my opinion. They do a very good job.

New City was wonderful to work with! We moved two apartments in two cities into one apartment. This took two days. The management staff did a good job keepingboth moves organized. Both groups of workers were phenomenal. They carefully wrapped our furniture and made sure everything was transported well. They were very careful and paid attention to detail. These are the best movers we have ever used, bar none. We were very pleased with their work. Highly recommended!

They did an AWESOME job. Moved from Wisconsin to Illinois and had to carry a truckload of furniture up to the 3rd floor via stairs.....I know how hard it was and they did it without any complaints and still had a smile and were professional. New City Moving has helped me with moves twice in the last few months, and I have been very happy with their work both times. One move was from a suburb of Chicago into Chicago and the other was from Iowa to Chicago. The schedulers worked with me to ensure that times worked with my buildings moving policies, and they communicated with me multiple times leading up to and on the days of my move. The Iowa to Chicago move occurred over two days, and both days my moving team (shoutout to Mario!) was timely and very quick and careful. I highly recommend!

They moved everything without any issues, helped us place our large items in our new home, and even fixed our couch that a different moving company broke years earlier. I moved from a large apartment that I’d lived in for 32 years! Not only was I very attached to the place, I’d collected some furniture and artwork during that time that was quite large scale and heavy. The crew dealt with the weight with amazing strength and facile grace. All of them were very gracious and polite. Some language and communication concerns, but the foreman dealt with them immediately and efficiently. They were so efficient, that they finished two hours earlier than their estimate, and I received a discount on my quoted price for that saving of time. I’d highly recommend them as Movers.

I highly recommend New City Moving USA for the amazing service they provided. They moved me out of my 4-bedroom home from Denver to New York. I originally spoke to James who explained the moving process to me after I went online and submitted my information. He quoted me a price that was higher than my other quotes, but I knew he was honest because he showed me the differences between his quote and the others that I received before his. He showed me that the other companies didn’t place everything that I told them onto their quote, and they also didn’t ask me important questions about my furniture like James. Also, James went over all the extra fees that my move had, and no other company told me about the bulky fees and shuttle fee that I had to pay for but James went over all those fees and made me realize that the other companies did not. The price he gave me was $11,450 and as he told me, the price did not go up on pick-up day. It was quite the opposite. I had 100 cubic feet less on pick up day, so they deducted the cost $650 and deducted another $100 from the VIP full service pack that I ordered. The full pack was well worth the money. The movers were as professional as James said they would be. The move took 10 days to deliver. Delivery guys were amazing. All around, amazing experience! I highly recommend this company for anybody who is moving out of Denver!

My moving experience with New City Moving was excellent from start to finish. The sales rep Stephanie was very responsive and answered all of my questions. The estimate they gave me was slightly more than what we ended up paying, which was great! Victors two moving crews who helped us move out and into our new apartment were AMAZING!!! DO NOT HIRE THEM!! BEWARE!! What I read in the reviews is so true.I have a very heavy marble top dresser and nightstand and these movers Oscar, Ivan and Christopher damaged my hardwood floors. Look at pictures.I noticed it the next day when I came back to the apartment. I had given each mover $20 each and this is what I get.Now, i calmly contacted Matthew, Tim and Judy and they say they have a repairman that can come to my apartment to fix.I said no, I don’t want any of you here, all I want is $60 dollars back for the tip and $50 for damage.Sounds reasonable right? Well, I have called and email and this person Tim who they say is the coordinator has never contacted me.I just texted and called and no answer.This happened to a lady who also had a marble top dresser I belief and they cracked the marble and now I am so scared because they put my stuff into the storage and didn’t witness if they had damaged.They are Not professional, they should take responsibility for accidents that happen.If only they are open to take responsibility and take my offer will I decide if I will use them again.Stay tuned for update…

We had a long distance move planned from Chicago to Michigan. We received quotes from no less than six companies. New City had the best rates-more than half the price quote of every single mover we solicited! No joke. Plus, they had the BEST service from the start. They scheduled time to itemize what we had in a virtual walkthrough, provide a very reasonable quote and were very clear on all communication. The crew was friendly, professional, and fast! I recently hired New City Moving for a long distance move to Michigan and everyone involved did an amazing job!Ive always moved myself in the past, but decided to contact some local companies after swearing Id never drive a 16ft truck in Chicago again. They were the only company that did a virtual inventory AND the quote I received was far less than the other professionals. Ronan did an amazing job answering all of my questions. Landa and his crew worked super hard (in the rain!) loading & unloading all of my stuff. Even with my inept packing abilities, not a single thing broke during the journey!

I wish I could do 0 stars. I never thought I would experience PTSD from hiring these movers. Normally when you hire movers they are supposed to move the items you need to be moved right? Please be warned that this company has very sketchy process on how they schedule your move. They ask your bedroom size then estimated items that will need to be moved. They literally make a list they get back to you with a quote. Then the date was scheduled. When the movers arrived and right from the start they started knit picking at which items they were going to move which stunned me because real professional movers would never do that. Then used the excuse that if it was not on the list they were not going to move them. Now remember the items to be moved was an estimate at the time of scheduling nothing written in stone. So pretty much only about 60% of my items were place on the truck. The other 40% I had to get 5 friends and four cars to move the rest even the boxes I had neatly packed ready to go the movers intentionally left them behind. They got paid the full price but only did half the work. So please be warned and look elsewhere for movers who are more professional and respectful. I will never recommend this company to anyone. Awful service!!!

Used New City Moving for the first time moving from Schaumburg into Old Town. Carlos Santiago and Carlos were our three movers. Could not have had a better experience. They arrived on time, carefully wrapped and boxed everything. Arrived at our new location when we had the elevator reserved. Got everything unloaded and into the apartment in minimal time. Put together some of the items. The three of them were great and I highly recommend them! I will definitely used New City Movers again!

Everybody from the sales guy doing quotes through to the office team and our packers/drivers was all very friendly, helpful, and thorough, with lots of advice and help. From coming to do the quote through to collecting the boxes a few days afterward, they couldnt have been more helpful. It all went as smoothly as possible, and the sun shone, making it somewhat less challenging. Wouldnt hesitate to use it again or recommend it.

The crew that helped me with my move were great to work with! From scheduling to execution of the move, they were communicative, professional and efficient. I lived in a building with no elevators on the 3rd floor and had a lot of stuff, and they were careful in wrapping all of my furniture and items so everything arrived safely at the new location. The crew was also friendly and worked super well together as a team. I would highly recommend their services.

Local move from a first floor unit to second floor. Guys showed up a half hour early and were done with the whole job a full hour earlier than estimated - nothing broken, no scratches or marks on the walls - couldnt be happier. On paper New City looked a little more expensive than other options but after calculating add-ons (clothing box rental, tape, shrink wrap, etc.) and over/underestimating times, they were very close in terms of cost. No complaints and no hesitation offering highest recommendation.

This really was the best moving experience weve ever had from beginning to end. And it was reasonably priced! This was a long distance move from Rhode Island to Chicago. Weve moved long distance several times over the past 20 years: from Los Angeles to San Francisco, San Francisco to New York, New York back to San Francisco, San Francisco to Boston, Boston to Providence, and now Providence to Chicago. Given all of our past experiences with movers, New City is the best of them all, theyre many levels above anyone else weve ever used. Professional, quick, and affordable. It was my first time using a moving service and they did not disappoint. All items were moved with care and they even covered floors in the new place to avoid wear during the move. My special request to drop off some items at Goodwill was accommodated at a nominal cost. To my surprise, the final invoice came out to be lower than the quote which turned it into a great value. My only complaint was that they were a little hard to reach over the phone on a few days, but it understandable given all the probes that come with the pandemic. Overall, cannot recommend their service enough.

My husband and I heard so many wonderful things about this company, we just HAD to use them for our move. Unfortunately our experience was terrible. They showed up several hours late for our move so we ended up not finishing until almost midnight. We felt terrible for the moving crew who had clearly been double booked for that afternoon. The crew that moved us out also failed to label any items that they wrapped which only caused our move out crew further delays. Before completing payment we tried to reach out to the company considering they charge WAY more than other movers because they supposedly offer exceptional service and no one ever got in touch with us except to say that if we did not complete payment, they would send it to collections.Horrible customer service. Horrible quality. Way over priced. Maybe they used to be good? Would NEVER recommend.

When they were grabbing boxes to load up, they made sure to confirm clearly exactly how I needed things, since I was leaving some stuff behind. They were pretty quick too. I was told by the team lead that he was looking to save me money, and after giving all the details, I did save hundreds (it was already low compared to alternatives), because they make sure to check.All of my belongings were in perfect condition on arrival; not one thing was damaged. My move was on the smaller side (1 bedroom apartment), but Im still extremely satisfied.

I was extremely happy with my move performed by New City Movers just a week ago. The crew leader: Andres as well as the other two movers were great, these guys hustled! And they took great care with my things.Andres reached out prior to arrival to inform me they were running early (30 minutes) and asked if that was OK. They followed all of my instructions and requests, including taking extra time/care with an antique cabinet that has been in my family for over 50 years. On the day of my move, the moving company called me 30 minutes before they were scheduled to show to inform me they could no longer do my move and had to cancel (NEVER schedule a move with All My Sons Moving!!). Thankfully, New City Moving respects and appreciates their customers. Scrambling to find a resolution to my problem, I contacted Alison from New City Moving who, within 10 minutes of contacting her, managed to provide an estimate, assemble a crew, and have them on their way to my location to complete my move on short notice. Brian and his crew were equally as awesome. Friendly, personable, and excellent at what they do. My items arrived on time in Springfield, wrapped to perfection and damage free. What amazed me most was that, even on short notice, they didn’t try to squeeze me for as much money as they could. They provided a very fair, competitive rate at a time when others could have taken advantage. There are no words to express my gratitude for New City Moving and their employees. If you’re in need of moving, there is no company better than New City. Thank you Thank you Thank you!

The original team who was supposed to move me was a no show and so my move was 2 hours later than scheduled. Absolutely no criticism for the team of guys who took over for the missing team, they were great - quick, professional, and kind - but overall, I am very disappointed in the scheduling on the company’s side. This caused us to miss the elevator reservation and made second half of the move more difficult and then consuming as well. After all this I only got $55 off to make up for this which did not feel equivalent with the 2 hours and lack of communication during this delay. Overall, very frustrating experience (again on the company itself and not the new team of guys who ended up coming to move) and would not use or recommend new city moving again because of this.

I am truly astonished at the amount of good reviews this company has. If you are planning an out of state move, please save yourself the mistake I made and run to any other company.I planned a long distance move from Chicago to Texas. Payment was collected and my items were picked up and placed in storage until I had a permanent address for drop off. The day before my items were scheduled to arrive in Texas I still had not received an arrival timeframe confirmation. I tried to reach the company both by phone and email. I was told repeatedly that everyone who could assist me was busy and would reach out later. By 5PM that day, all employees still refused to speak with me. After 10 attempts, I finally heard from a manager who told me that my items would not be arriving the next day and there was no scheduled delivery date in the foreseeable future.Brian, the president of the company, provided me with a slew of excuses as to why this was happening: covid, the national truck shortage, tornadoes in Illinois, a collapsed warehouse roof, sudden illness of truck drivers, etc. Brian also informed me that he was so inundated with the collapsed warehouse roof, damaged trucks, and injured truck drivers, that he didn’t have the capacity to worry about the delivery of my items. I was informed that the manager I was previously working with had been fired for her promised delivery date of my items, including the date and time of her termination.The only solution Brian could come up with was for me to hire a different moving company to pick my items up from the New City Moving warehouse and refused to offer any additional solutions.I was informed by a previous employee that New City Moving did in fact have a truck available to deliver my items, but they were afraid they would lose money on my job and did not want to complete it.After a long back and forth and threat of legal action, my items were finally delivered. However, several items are missing.Safe yourself the time, money, and stress. This company is an unprofessional mess.

Very unethical experience. Movers did not disclose that they damaged our marble coffee table during the move. Instead they hid the table top between two moving boxes to preserve generous tip, which we gave not knowing about the damage nor that we have been deceived (they are supposed to disclose the damage when it occurs). I noticed the damage 5 minutes after they left and caught up with them on the street. They admitted it and referred us to the management office to handle the claim. Management provided a low ball compensation offer relative to the cost of repair and is not responsive since. Nobody picks up the phone, everything goes to voicemail, and they dont return the call. Moves can be very tiring and stressful and last thing you want at the end of that day is to feel like you have been robbed. Do not recommend at all.

I had the best experience. Everyone at New City Moving were incredible at communicating and made our move so smooth. They were extremely professional, kind, fast, skilled, I could go on and on. My moms car battery even died as the truck was leaving for our new place, I called and let them know wed be delayed and they said no problem. I assumed they would take the spare time as a break, but when I arrived they had almost the entire truck already unloaded onto the lawn ready to move inside. Would absolutely use again and recommend.

We used New City Moving to pack and transport our 2 BR 1 BA apartment in Ukrainian Village up to a new place in Edgewater. They were great — not only are they fast and incredibly hardworking, they were thoughtful of how to pack and unpack our belongings. To the point of videotaping themselves disassembling furniture so that they could reassemble it correctly at the new place. Nothing was broken or missing. Also, just the nicest folks. We just completed an out-of-state move with New City Moving and Jhoni’s team was incredible. It was a complicated move with many stops and lots of moving parts but each team member remained calm and had an upbeat/positive attitude throughout. They made a stressful process fun and I would highly recommend New City Movers (specifically Jhoni’s team) for anyone moving from Chicago!

Do not transact with this company. The first red flag is asking you to make down payments with an internet personal check(s) and NOT your credit or debit card. Personal checks cannot be disputed unless you file a law suit. New City Moving and Storage left me stranded and never picked up my household goods. It was awful. I would say they are a boiler room operation. BEWARE!

We used New City Moving Company yesterday for a very large move and I have nothing but good things to say. These guys worked hard, they never stopped and worked for 14 hours straight and they couldnt have been more professional and careful with all of the items. I will highly recommend and use them again in the future!

Francisco and his team were absolutely fantastic on my recent move. First time using a moving service so was a little nervous at the jump but had no doubt in my mind that New City is the best in the business. From getting setup as a customer to dropping everything at my new apartment was great. Will forsure use New City in the future

One of our movers got his had crushed in our treadmill and they took a random part off to free it. They had to send a new mover to finish the job and he and the original (non injured) mover start arguing with each other. They dropped our treadmill twice.We purchased the supplementary insurance coverage just for this very expensive treadmill. We need it to be repaired and tested (I have no idea what part they removed) to make sure the drops didnt damage the computer in it. However, claims will not return my call, despite leaving 3 voicemails.This has been an incredibly frustrating and awful experience. I would NOT recommend New City to anyone, especially people who own nonstandard furniture items. They knew going into the job that a treadmill was in the move and should have been able to handle it better. Also, since claims wont return our calls that was a waste of $50 and my treadmill is essentially a brick. 👌

My experience with New City Movers was nearly perfect. They arrived early, got the job done in two hours and I came in under estimate. They were super nice and easy to work with and I am so grateful for their hard work and making my move seamless!

Carlitos crew was literally the best! So professional. So kind. They were great with out stuff and moved us from a 1 bedroom to the 3 story house. So courteous and patient. Would recommend 100%.

This was our third time using New City for our moving needs. The first two times, they did an amazing job packing, wrapping, and moving all our cargo. Nothing was broken, scratched, or damaged in any way. When we decided to move out of state, we did not hesitate to reach out them again. In fact, our experience was so positive that we did not even bother to get another quote for the move. The team was, once again, extremely careful, thoughtful and patient with our full-pack moving option. We had a lot of stuff, so it took longer than they thought but they were super efficient and careful at the same time. They met us right on time in the new location, unloaded as carefully as they had loaded, and once again left us with an extremely pleasant impression. We would not hesitate to use New City Moving again; were just sad they dont have a location in Minnesota!

Great movers. They gave me a 600$ quote over the fun but ended up taking some money off the quote because we put in work to try to make their job run smoothly. They movers were good guys, had fun talking and working with them.

They did an excellent job! We recommend them for anyone looking to move efficiently, without having to lift a finger. We had the boxes ready when they arrived, and stepped back to watch them do their thing. Incredible. The packing of the furniture with pads and plastic was performed perfectly. They dismantled items and later put them together correctly. Ive done four moves with my daughter, from apartment to apartment, and this has been the fifth move. First time with no stress due to movers. Arrived early, completed the work in record time. You would not have guessed they were working on an hourly rate. If I could give another star, I would. Look no further!

I could not recommend New City Moving enough! If I could give them 10 stars out of 5 I would. Jose and his team were absolutely AMAZING! They arrived early (which is usually unheard of for movers) and they were so quick! Not only were they quick, they were mindful when wrapping and moving our items to ensure they wouldn’t get damaged. They moved us out of our 2 bed/2 bath apt in 1 hour. We had to drive 1 hour to our new house (northern suburbs) and they moved us into the house in again within 1 hour. Total of a 3 hour move!! The team was so nice and communicated to ensure they were moving everything into the correct rooms! Highly recommend!

I would give 6 stars if I could to Erick Roman and his team. They were fast, efficient, clean and extremely careful. All of our furniture and boxes arrived in our new home safe and undamaged. We had brand new hardwood floors installed, and they were even so kind as to make sure all of our furniture had the correct padding before placing anything on the floors. An added bonus was that the team was fun to work with and all had a great attitude (even on a Sunday morning)!

I had a fantastic experience with New City Moving. There was regular and clear communication beforehand, and on moving day the crew was fantastic. They moved me out of a 3rd floor walk up and into a 4th floor walk up in only a few hours, and were courteous, pleasant and easy to talk to. They took care with my belongings and made the whole day easy. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

The crew that handled our move were awesome and bailed us out more than they should have. We werent as prepared for the move as we thought we were. When Jesse and his crew arrived, they started helping us pack what was remaining and working through it. Then, despite the weird rules surrounding moves at our new place, they were super fast and efficient in unloading the truck, and placing the large items in their appropriate place.I appreciate them more than they know or could realize. I never want to move again but, if I do, Ill use new city moving again in a heartbeat.

They were early on the time window which was amazing. Santiago and Julio were the gentleman that wrapped my furniture and packed my boxes. I was glad they wrapped the sofa and the chair, I did not expect that and appreciated it. The moment they arrived and started moving stuff, I started a timer. To get my apartment packed into the truck, take the truck to my new place, AND unload the truck only took a little over an hour and a half. I ended up paying less than my original quote and nothing was damaged in the move. I HIGHLY recommend them.

I would 100% recommend this service. I’ve had mixed experiences with movers, but New City exceeded expectations. Carlos and Jesus were very efficient and communicated extremely well. Great moving experience!

New City Moving was outstanding!! They were a little late due to a traffic accident, but kept in touch the whole time. I had 2 trucks and 5 movers. They were all amazing!! Everyone was professional and courteous, knew what to do, followed my instructions. Not one item damaged. Every box was placed in the right spot in my new home. They moved a huge, heavy armoire up and down right staircases like it was nothing - I seriously dont know how they did it!! I had never used movers before and was very nervous, but they made it so easy! I got a number of quotes for my move and they had extremely reasonable rates. The final price was close to the estimate, with some minor additional costs for needed supplies (extra boxes, wrapping, etc). Highly recommend!
