Juan Carlos and his team do the BEST quality work at a fair price. I got multiple quotes for my large kitchen countertop project, which included matching to some existing quartz as well as adding a large L-shaped new section. Juan’s quote was roughly the same as the others I got (they were all within $150 of each other), but I chose to work with Juan Carlos because he was so much more friendly and professional than the other companies I talked to, and he had much better reviews too. All these 5 star reviews are for a reason!! The work is top notch (I was stunned to find that they had been able to cut my gigantic L-shape section as ONE PIECE—couldn’t believe it!), on time, and highly professional and courteous. They protected all my floors so well, draping from the front door all the way through to the kitchen, and kept everything super clean so I didn’t have to deal with a mess after they left. I really appreciated that! Also, regarding Covid safety, I felt very safe having Juan Carlos and team in my home. They were all masked up (with masks worn PROPERLY, not hanging off their face like so many people I’ve had to deal with lately). I just can’t recommend Pearlstone Cutters highly enough—please give them your business, you won’t regret it!

Just ensure you disconnect and reconnect your own water supply because they are not plumbers...but their work is very good, they communicate w/You throughout the project and arrive on OR BEFORE the preset date for completion! Juan was able to remove our old undermount sink and cut out a bigger footprint for our new sink. Something every other granite worker I contacted said could not be done!! Everyone else said the counter would crack and the only solution would be to replace the entire slab. Juan did it brilliantly. He and his coworker cut the granite in under and hour and did so in a manner that produced very dust. 12/10 recommend.

I used Pearlstone cutters to reinstall an undermount kitchen sink that was beginning to fall out. Juan Carlos did a great job. He was transparent and provided me with a quote ahead of time, before doing the work. He and his partner were also timely, kept the site very clean and orderly when they left. I will definitely use them again.

My condo was built with a weird sink with a weirdly sized hole. The sink needed replacing and I didnt exactly know what to do - except for the fact that Id have to bring in a professional.Juan Carlos knew exactly what to do. When the day came to do the work - Pearlstone showed up and took out about at least 50 pounds of my counter granite top in about 90 mins.The new sink looks fantastic and fits perfectly. I was referred to Pearlstone from the folks at Marmo. Juan Carlos went out of his way on a Saturday to meet us back at his shop so we could see the different stone counters he had. One was perfect and he gave us a very fair price. They came and installed the counters in great time and did an excellent job. They look really great! I hired Pearlstone Cutters to repair damage to the seal of my granite countertops due to getting liquid dishwasher detergent spilled onto the counter. They came by, fixed the damage without issue and resealed the entire countertop for a very reasonable price. Furthermore, they were the only vendor in the Chicagoland area that I found that could fix this type of damage.The reason for the lost star is mostly around scheduling and communications. I had to coordinate when they would come by so I could stay home from work and they could only schedule a definitive time about a week out. However, this discussion occurred before the end of year holidays, so we declared a day when Pearlstone would come by but not a definitive time or confirmation of appointment. In fact, I almost forgot about them coming by until I looked at my calendar the night before and confirmed! It would be helpful if they were more proactive in scheduling definitive times and sending reminders/confirmations to their customers so it can be easier to schedule around.Despite this , I would be happy to hire Pearlstone again for repairing damage to my countertops.

We were looking for an alternative to purchasing our countertop from a big box store. I had done my research and was set on quartz that, although more expensive, was more durable than granite. I learned of Juan Carlos and Pearlstone Cutters via my cabinet maker. Juan Carlos was a thorough professional and gentleman. I was surprised to hear from him that the granite would be a better value as it was almost as durable as the quartz. Also, the maintenance is minimal and the unique beauty of natural stone is unmatched. The word is trust: he gained ours. The countertop was delivered and installed one week after measurements were taken: its glorious!!! The fit was perfect, considering the wavy plaster walls of our 1923 bungalow. Everyone was courteous, careful and the job was done expeditiously at a very reasonable price. We are very satisfied and happy we did not go to a generic big box store!
