Yesterday I stopped by really quick to buy some snacks and I have to say this dollar general has the best customer service ever!!! The young lady in register was super nice and her customer service was on point!!

The best staffed store I have ever been in Chicago. They are all so nice, store is always stocked and clean. They make anyone coming in with out a mask leave to get one and if its not over the nose they will tell them to fix it.

Dollar general has thrifty good food shopping down. I usually can find things to fill out my pantry and have quick meals or sides. It is also a good way to start a meal with everything you need and then combine it with one other store for quick meal planning.

What I like about this particular Dollar General the employees are very nice and very helpful I had a problem with the DG app and the lady walk me through it and showed me how to work the app. It does get busy from time to time so please keep that in mind. Another thing that I dont like a lot of the things theyve been out all of stock and Ive been two or three times for the same item and theyre still out.

Store is always clean. Although I had a bad experience once prior to today. When a manager racially profiled to young black men. They were standing inside & he never once asked them to leave. They stood to the side waiting for someone. It was pretty cold out. Once a customer decided to complain thats when the male manager said he was tired of babysitting them. Yet these young men were not walking around the store or doing anything to make anyone believe they would steal. While the manager was watching them a young white teenage girl walked out with a couple of items.

I LOVE this place. Has everything, even brand name goods at a much cheaper price. A whole frozen and refrigerated section. A favorite !

Be careful about expiration dates. They are not doing their job well.In one single day, my wife bought expired coffee. And me expired sprinkles, as shown on the picture. Their phone number is not ringing at all...

The employees are aways helpful and good to shop at, over all not bad experience

Its kind of messy but you find what you need staff always screaming across the room poor teamwork

They have frozen bags of California blend vegetables for a dollar. They have belveta cheese, cookies, toilet paper. The list goes on and everything is priced lower than the regular stores.

They have good deals on their detergents. Also hair gel, ice scraper, oil of olay soap and water. Must check it out.

First time visiting a Dollar General store, I usually go to Dollar tree, but I was pleased with Dollar General and the customer service here was so great and my cashier was super friendly. Definitely will be shopping here more often.

Its a great place the workers there are very nice, i only had problem finding a 2 blug cable that was thicker but able to plug i in my cellphone with Its case attached, so I had to buy the lesser quality thinner cable

They are the best. Very friendly. Always greeted when I come in. The staff is excellent. Come here almost everyday and never had an issue.

Small store, wish it was bigger. Still get the small thing you mightve forgot at the big store.

The prices are right, but when everything is a dollar , quality is frequently compromised. I really miss the dime stores that I used to go to in the 1950s or the 1960s.

I just needed to get a thank you card and found one that I liked after looking at a couple of other stores. Besides that, they have a lot of other merchandise in the store to check out and choose from. I had a question for an employee and she was very helpful and friendly as was the manager. Nice experience.

Be careful with prices. Not everything is for 1 dollar.

I stop by today and let me just begin with the store is so so crowded you couldn’t get the cart going on the aisles. They have stuff over crowded especially on the floor boxes etc the store looks nice from the outside but once you enter you get overwhelmed by seeing the poor maintenance they have! I was there today around 2pm and only saw one person working there which makes me wonder if that Is why the store looks like that .... Also I was assisting my mom with the credit card machine but to put in her phone number for the digital coupons and the cashier goes by saying I can’t do that, that I have to teach my mom how to use the machine! Really bad customer service I been doing retail my self for over 8 years and that’s not how you treat a customer. I felt disrespected! I hope never goes through what I went through with that cashier.... Sadly I have to give a one star service so I could be able to post my comment other wise I wouldn’t even give one star !

I think as a retail company the manager should know the different between a old 100 dollar bill and a new 100 dollar bill when I was purchasing my things the store manage tel me know I’m not going to take that and a nasty way as a store manager she should learn customer service and how to revise words that doesn’t sound negative also they should get her a bill mark pen since she doesn’t know the difference between a fake and a real

Employees are all Hispanics and they only say hello to Hispanic shoppers. If your white or African American forget it. The store is poorly stocked and when you ask the employee there typical excuse is that product has been discontinued. i will never shop at Dollar general again. There is two Dollar trees nearby which I will go to now.

Neat store has everything from houseware, food, home decor, supplies, car accessories, holiday decorations. And every Saturday with the app coupon you save 5 dollars after you spend $25

Customer service is always friendly. The store could use some reorganization. They always seem to be out of my laundry detergent.

This store is over crowded a d Im not sure why they call it dollar general when mostly everything is more than a dollar. Then they do have a section of $1 items but its not very large.

I got banned from this store because the cashier was just taking her sweet time. I had then asked if another register could be opened. They said no. The manager Yvonne banned from the store because of this. Prior to February 13th 2019 which was the end of the Pepsi Stuff promotion I had took two 20 oz. Pepsi Bottles to the counter. But I was being charged 1.79 for each, even tough a sticker on the cooler indicated that if 2 were purchased that it would be 2 20 oz. Bottles for 3.00. After Yvonne corrected this she angrily removed the sticker from the Pepsi Cooler. Mountain Dew Kickstart is 1.35 at Dollar General, I now have to walk two blocks north and purchase Mountain Dew Kickstart at Dollar Tree for just 1.00.

I visit this store nearly daily. Everyone that works there is friendly enough I guess. The store is in good shape for the most part but because of the size of the store there is always some type of stock lying around that needs to be put up. They stock a lot of things I need that save me a trip on the bus to Walmart and the pricing on most things is fair if you know how to shop. I try not to buy their store brand stuff for sure. Not even close to Walmart in that aspect. I just wish they would stay on top of their dairy ordering. Theyre forever running out of different milks and sizes.
