Absolutely a must go! This is 4 floors of caffeine delight, much bigger and better experience than the NYC and Seattle locations! Each floor has a different “vibe” and set of coffees, matching the “vibe”. Coffees, eats, and bathrooms on all floors. Merchandise for purchase on floors 1, 2, 4. Would recommend looking at the menus before going so you can really map out hour coffee journey.Went on a Thursday morning (8:30ish). Busiest on floors 1 and 2

No doubt this is a very beautiful Starbucks Reserve located in a prime location!I love how each floor has its own purpose from the bakery, special goods, a bar, a rooftop, etc., and how intentional the Chicago Starbucks Roastery brand is put through every touch! This is a good place to explore and visit every once in a while. Often there is a misconception this might be a good productivity spot which it can be only if are lucky and it is not packed with lots of tourists, and background noise soo you might not be able to find a seat or charge your computer. I am putting that for awareness :)Access the rooftop can vary sometimes it is first come first serve or there are times you are required to make a reservation (at least I saw that last summer).

Would give it 6 stars if I could! Definitely a coffee experience. There are a four floors: first is a large Starbucks and store for mugs etc. Second is their bakery. Third is a experimental coffee bar. And fourth is a spirits / cocktail bar. Great ambience, friendly staff, and superlative presentation. Only downside is potentially long lines and wait times to get food & drinks. Id budget at least an hour - its not your typical grab and go Starbucks. Would definitely visit again!

Im not typically a Starbucks fan, but Starbucks Reserve Roastery was an amazing experience. You can purchase food and drinks on all floors, each having their own theme. The whiskey barrel aged cold brew was incredible. Filled with complex flavors and a light sweetness, from which I presume was a syrup sneakily added, it was probably my favorite cold brew Ive tasted. I had it side by side with the Knob Creek Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, the original inspiration for the coffee drink. There is literally too much food to try. I had an almond cornetto, which had nice flavor, but was a little too dry. I hear their tiramisu is really good though! Unfortunately I didnt try it this time around.

Best freaking Starbucks experience ever! I never knew their was such a thing called a Starbucks Reserve Roastery. I stumbled upon it on the Mag Mile in Chicago. Apparently there only 6 Starbucks Reserve Roasteries on the planet. Chicago, Seattle, New York City, Shanghai, Tokyo, and Milan. Ive been blessed to have traveled to all of those cities, but never to a Starbucks Roastery until now. It was overwhelmingly amazing with a full bar with unique drinks you can only buy at this Roastery. Its nice enough to charge a cover just to enter, but its free to lounge around and connect. Dont miss this place. PS, I dont drink coffee, but I will come here everytime I visit Chicago in the future. I cant wait to go see the other ones...

Incredible coffee experience - would highly recommend. They are one of 6 Starbucks Reserve locations in the world and they’re the largest! Incredible cocktail bar on the top floor, experimental coffee bar with Clover brewers for coffee unlike anywhere else. They make their food / pastries in house, very good! For a unique coffee experience try the Clover brewed single origin flight. A picture included in this review, it was the best brewed coffee I have every tasted. A great presentation accompanied by a sheet on how to properly taste coffee and info on each origin. The baristas here are like no other - the best around really. They are all well trained and knowledgeable in all aspects of coffee. Again, I’d strongly recommend coming here to anyone who visits Chicago and enjoys GREAT coffee.

Starbucks Reserve Roastery is absolutely worth the visit. Plan to spend 2-3 hours for the full experience and spend about $100 for two people to experience things on each level and leave fairly full.We started on the 4th floor by one of the staff member’s recommendations - this was a good recommendation. We started with the espresso martini flight and it was excellent, though worth noting that the drinks were fairly strong. I could feel them, so it’s a good thing we started with the hard drinks! Moving onto the third floor, we had tiramisu (fairly large portion) and cold brew trio. I enjoyed the whiskey barrel aged cold brew, but wasn’t a huge fan of the other two - that’s just my personal preference, however. Second floor: we had the margherita pizza and caprese on focaccia with a cucumber mint spritz and strawberry balsamic spritz. I would skip the caprese on focaccia if doing it again - bread was a little soggy and I was expecting to receive it pressed as a panini like the tomato mozzarella panini in normal Starbucks stores, but it was served cold. Not bad, but nothing special. The spritz were good as well, though the strawberry balsamic spritz would’ve been better with a thicker straw to stop the straw from being clogged with strawberry bits. Before we left, we got Reserve lattes with oat milk, a cannoli and a raspberry cornet. All were great. Not only are the food and drinks excellent, the staff is delightful to interact with (worth noting: the entire place is non-tipping, even the cocktail bar!) and the building and decor are beautiful. Looking forward to our next visit and visiting more Reserve Roasteries around the world.

Wow, what a cool place! As a huge coffee connoisseur (or addict depending on who you ask!) I thoroughly enjoyed this place….an absolute coffee Mecca. They have a huge building on Michigan Ave. and five floors of counter serve coffee products. They have coffee flights, cold brews, desserts, baked goods - whatever you can ask for.The line to get in was pretty long. Once inside, there was a crush of people at each level to order, though things moved along quickly. The real challenge is sitting space which is very limited for a facility this big. So it’s generally a challenge to get a spot to sit and enjoy your coffee flight or whatever delectable item it is you may have ordered. But overall a super fun experience and highly recommended if in downtown Chicago. I’m not a fan of cold brew coffee but this was awesome. We got a bag of the beans and hoping we can enjoy it when we get back to Belgium. The fourth floor bar is also amazing. Has a great selection of whiskey and gin. Was really shocked to see them carrying monkey 47.If you think Starbucks is expensive this is way more expensive version. We paid about 50 usd for what we ordered. Shown in the pictures. The profiterole was good, the croissant not so much but we are spiked with European pastries. The decoration is very interesting and the some of staff would explain what they were doing and throw out fun facts about the coffee growing and brewing process.Only two downsides from my experience here: the sandwiches/pastries cannot be heated up for some reason. Each floor is a different set up.Flatbread, all of the drinks that I have tried, and the cannoli are fantastic! If you have the time, and an interest in coffee, book the tour. Guided tour from a knowledgeable staff member with detailed information on all aspects of the location. Well worth the experience.I have visited multiple times, and will visit again.

I tend to avoid Starbucks in favor of a local venue, but this is the exception. This is not your average Starbucks. I highly recommend exploring each of the 4 floors at the reserve roastery, especially the siphon or cold brew experience on the 3rd floor.

Amazing staffs as always. Drinks are a bit pricey than other Starbucks in the neighborhoods, however the experience was amazing, you can get a tour, they have various instruments at display, and large variety of food items. They have a special chocolate with a history of what was used to develop it in Chicago, that is unique. Although pricey, around 20 bucks, you can buy it if you want to take back something unique to the Chicago Starbucks Roastery.

I had the most spectacular experience! If you’re in Chicago & love coffee, you must visit. So many different options and types of coffee. Love the description of the coffee beans and the different ways to brew. It’s a coffee haven!

A fun a unique experience at the biggest Starbucks in the world! Would recommend the experiential coffee bar on the 3rd floor. The sweet cream affogato was to die for.

This was by far the coolest Starbucks Ive ever been to. It had multiple floors each offering something new with tons of stuff you cant get any where else. We sampled both the boozy and non boozy drinks and they were both incredible. Id love to go back and try more stuff.

Ahmmmm…Employees move in slow-moThey have a couple more floors and much better views…than a regular Starbucks store, that is.When I asked for my fav blend called Sumatra ‘The Reserve Roastery’ blinked. Sure it may be seasonal but I know you can get it at many other places. One last thingSee attached screenshot of the speed test of the Verizon 5G Ultra Wide Band inside the store. ✌️
