Beyond expectations. Spacious two-level seating and semi-outdoor patio seating with three cases of mini cakes, tarts, and baklava. Also another counter for hot beverages. Tried out the dark chocolate mousse cake and the raspberry chocolate mousse cake. Both were rich, beautiful, and sublime. Friendly service. They were happy to explain items in the case and asked if I needed utensils. One of the best fine dessert places Ive experienced to date!

It was so empty on a Saturday morning, probably a bad sign, but decided to try it out anyways. The display case for the desserts had so much condensation you couldnt even see the desserts in the case. Guess it shows how much they care about their business.‣Mixed Nuts Baklava: insanely sweet, soggy, stale nuts, and had weird sour notes to it‣Hazelnut Praline: hazelnuts were only used on the garnish‣Mango Bomb, the outer glaze was just gooey and sweet, very little mango‣Cashier: asked for forks and she threw them in the bag‣If youre visiting from out of town, save your stomach space and money and go somewhere else. The lack of customers in the place on a Saturday goes to show how popular it is.

I became reacquainted with Artopolis this past summer when my daughter and I stopped by for dessert after a Greektown lunch nearby. The pastries blew me away. They are now my favourite bakery. Whenever I’m driving down Halstead I have to stop and grab a pasty to go. On the most recent trip I had the pumpkin cheesecake, incredible. You cant go wrong here.

A unique jewel in the heart of Greek Town, Artopolis delivers as a restaurant and a bakery. My only regret is I didnt discover this place until I moved out of the neighborhood. From a varied espresso-based menu to assorted pastries, perfect for any time of the day. The seating set up makes this place comfortable for a meal with friends or a place for you just to catch up on some work. Highly recommend the French Toast.

Artopolis catered a breakfast of assorted pastries and coffee for our group of 100 on the Construction job site. The pastries were fresh and delicious, the coffee was very good, and everything was presented so nicely. Kristin assisted me with my order and was very helpful and accommodating throughout the process. Artopolis went above and beyond, honoring my request to have every individual item wrapped for safety during these trying pandemic times. They also provided beautiful labels & baskets for all the creamers, coffee stirrers, and logo napkins. It felt so nice to have this catering out on our site for our teams. Thank you Artopolis and especially Kristin, Kristos, and Ada who helped me carry everything to my car. I highly recommend this location for catering a large breakfast, they are true professionals and the food was AMAZING. Thank you so much.

The bacon and cheese peinerli (peh-NID-li) had just the right amount of heartiness and flavor. The cappucino was great too-just be sure to ask for sugar if you’re like me, and you like your coffee sweet. The prices were reasonable, and the main area and the bathroom were very clean. I have not been here in years, but I remember the food being very good. The pastries are delicious. But, maybe it was cause the kitchen was closing, or they just had a bad day. But the food was horrible, the gyro meat was dry, not enough tzatziki sauce, fries were cold. The spinach and cheese pie thingy was dry and tasted old as well. The soup was the only redeemable thing we ordered.Go for the pastries, stay away from the food.

Artopolis - a staple in Greektown. I love this Cafe so much that I decided to finally write a packed review. The atmosphere:- warm and inviting with the friendliest staff. You can pick up to go, sit at the bar, grab a table upstairs, or by the nice large windows. The desserts:- They more recently perfected (truly perfected) their Greek cookie recipes (melomakarona, kourambiedes, koulouria etc.). They are exactly like the cookies from your Yiayias (grandmothers) kitchen. Tastes that are followed by memories. I will say, hands down, the BEST greek cookies you will find.- Their variety of croissants are truly top notch.- They have an endless selection of pastries, cakes, cookies that are all excellent ... something for every tastebud. The coffee:- The traditional greek coffee is imported from a shop in Greece ... the aroma alone will make it your new favorite.- Hands down one of the top 2 cappuccinos in the Chicago. You can actually tasted the coffee without it being completely diluted with milk. The food (THE FOOD): Artopolis is better known for their desserts and coffee; however, their food menu is divine. And the ingredients are all quality ingredients.- the pizza. It may not be the go-to item to order at a Greek Bakery, but I promise you will NOT be disappointed. There is so much flavor in every bite. I prefer with just cheese or adding pepperoni. I recommend ordering it a little well-done (personal preference).- the best chicken gyro in Chicago. Clean and filling, but not heavy. Perfectly seasoned and not drowning in toppings and tzatziki.- the chicken dinner is out of this world... tastes like a meal you would find in Greece.- Soup. Let me start by saying, I love soup (winter or summer - never a bad time for soup). I confidently say their Avgolemono is beautifully crafted. No flour to make it heavy. Perfect amount of lemon. Add ground black pepper per your taste. It is perfection.- The Mediterranean Salad (with or without chicken). The dressing is the perfect balance of vinegar to oil. Very fresh produce used. They crumble the feta on top which changes the taste completely. It is the only salad I crave.- Georges Bread. You will never buy another bread after you taste this one. (available at the bakery section).- Artopoitas. The Spanakopita is my favorite. Its a perfect blend of flavors.. not one is overpowering. It was also really nice to see it featured on the local news stations.Honestly, you really cannot go wrong. They have vegetarian and vegan options as well. Big portions too. I am sure I am missing more favorite items. The Agora:Tastes of Greece that you can take home. So many fun and delicious items. My favorite are the Village Batch (best olive oil you will find in a store) and ION products.Needless to say... Artopolis is a must. If I could give it more stars, I would.
