Do not go here the owner is belligerent, dishonest and the services rendered are incompetent!I wasted over $30000 in their incompetent carpet sales and installation services and they never completed the project.They demanded remaining small balance on account despite the fact that they never corrected installation problems, delivered and installed carpeting over 30 day late and when confronted with problems they made no reasonable effort to correct.In the end they stripped my old carpeting and left exposed nails throughout the project area and refused to correct dangerous condition.Now I have to check my dog and children for exposures to nails.

I have been bringing my rugs here for 23 years they do a superb job of cleaning. Your rugs look brand new every time you have them cleaned. I wouldnt take them any where else!

My wife praised this place for 20 plus years, her line of work brought these cleaners business beyond personal needs. We just had them clean 3 throw rugs which came out great.Now the rest of the story. We also had two cleaners come to our home and clean a bedroom carpet. There was one spot/stain in particular from our dog my wife pointed out and worried it might not come out. She was doubly worried because she used an enzyme cleaner from a pet store on the spot and told the cleaners about it for fear their solutions might negatively react with the applied enzyme. The Klujian cleaners assured her the enzyme would not be a problem but the dog stain might be a problem. After cleaning the carpet they placed paper down in case we needed to go in the room. They said to give it 24 hours to dry. We closed off the room. We were puzzled the carpet was still wet after 48 hours as we continued to keep the room closed. We finally pulled up the paper after 55 hours and were horrified to see large brown circle stains in numerous areas of the carpet, wayyy beyond where our dog had soiled. My wife took pictures of the disaster and emailed them to Klujian along with phone calls asking to speak with Matt Klujian. She got a bit of the run around from the receptionist. On one of the calls after the receptionist acknowledged the emailed pictures she said to my wife, “well you used an enzyme.” My wife was not happy and informed the receptionist the cleaners well aware of the enzyme use (and it was only used in one small area). My wife again asked for Matt Klujian. Instead she heard back from the receptionist who stated that a couple of cleaners would come to the house to inspect it but it would cost us. My wife said absolutely not and again asked to speak with Matt Klujian. Again the receptionist called back and acquiced to no inspection charge. Today, the original two cleaners came back to look at their handy work. This time I was home. They were argumentative and accusatory that some additional accident must have occurred since they cleaned it 2 weeks ago. I tried to redirect the conversation and explain to them that was not the case. They refused to discuss the matter and stuck to their fall back position that this disaster had to have occurred after they cleaned it. I was looking for wisdom and a solution not a handout. I was hoping for some acknowledgment of an unfortunate mishap not a stubborn denial w/zero accountability. I am not happy that we are being treated like we are trying to get one over on Klujian Carpet Cleaners and did not appreciate the snarky, unprofessional attitude the cleaners expressed at the inspection. This was not an inexpensive undertaking and now our carpet is ruined.My wife is apparently still waiting for a phone call from Matt Klujian. Matt, don’t bother. You and your people had a chance to own it and work with us, but you didn’t.

I am thrilled to have found such a professional, high quality, amazing customer service family business! I have a beautiful custom runner that needed cleaning. I was thrilled to find out that they offered pick up and drop off to the North Shore , which obviously made it so easy for me as I live in Highland Park. The runner was done within the week, dropped off to me looking as good as when purchased. Based on my experience, I am scheduled to have them clean my sofa and some rooms in my house. EXTREMELY PLEASED!!!

I came in looking for plastic runners...a short term fix for my elderly dog that is having problems with traction on my hardwood floor. The older gentleman (I did not get his name) was very helpful and sympathetic to my needs and gave me a great deal on some left over carpet samples. I will be forever grateful. The dog got sick and and our $8,000 living room carpet paid the price. Mathew Klujian and Sons not only saved the carpet from the dog, they brought the entire 10x12 area back to life! We thought the carpet was permanently faded/discolored from years of sun and wear and tear but after their cleaning and treatment the colors pop again and it looks new. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Mathew Klujian & Sons! A few years ago, contractors spilled paint on our custom V’Soske rug. My spouse was certain that the rug was beyond saving, but lo and behold, Klujian worked magic!! The rug was returned to us in pristine condition. Whenever someone has a rug disaster, I tell them there’s only one place to go…Mathew Klujian & Sons. I’ve gone back to them several times, and every time they are incredibly kind, knowledgeable and provide excellent service!

My relationship started with the Klujian folks when I came into some old rugs from an inheritance. I only had to give up a stupid beat up lazy boy to get all six of these old things from my siblings, and it turned out to be a great choice.After they were repaired, cleaned and flat out restored, they offered to take the one rug I didnt like off my hands to offset their fee. The fee being reasonable but significant, and knowing I would never use the ugly one anywhere, it was a win win for me. Turned out, the rugs were made by a very quality vendor in turkey, and they were valued altogether over 5 figures. I dont often blindly trust anyone and thinking that they were just placating me, I checked their estimation. Turns out, not one, but two competitors told me the same thing. I gave up the one rug and did so happily. I will use these folks for ever. Trust worthy, easy to deal with, and overall professionals in their trade.

They have always done a reasonably good job for me in the past. A little pricey and they demand cash up front. They allow a 30% discount when you drop your rugs off rather than a pickup. Recently they billed me back the 30% after I picked up. I was out of town when the the carpet was ready and when the 30 days were up. They didnt advise me at the time of pickup, but sent a bill after the fact for the 30%, rescinding the discount. Last time I use them. They could have been up front and told me to my face!

Finding beautiful quality carpet at great price is no easy task! After having no luck at the big box stores (Home Depot, Menards) and some local independent carpet retailers, a friend recommended I look at Mathew Klujian & Sons, Inc. in Chicago. She had recently purchased carpet from them and had rave reviews so I figured I would give it a try.Upon entering the showroom I was greeted by the owner who worked diligently with me to ensure I not only found a carpet I liked aesthetically, but also a carpet that was going to be a good quality for an exceptional price. Once I chose the carpet I wanted for my bedrooms, stairs and hallway, the owner came to my home to measure. I had read online about how frequently carpet companies ‘over estimate’ how much carpet you need for your home which means a bigger order ($$$) for them. I had already had Home Depot and another retailer out for a measure and was amazed when my quote from Mathew Klujian & Sons came in at a significantly lower amount of yardage needed! This alone gave me an extra feeling of confidence to buy my carpet from them.I chose a patterned carpet for my hallway and stairs and the owner called me numerous times to discuss the visual layout and best way to install the carpet to maximize wear. Another personal touch I really appreciated! I can’t express how meticulous and professional the installers were when laying the carpet. The pattern I chose was especially difficult to install and the end result was flawless!This family owned company has been in business since 1938 and they have definitely fine-tuned what every customer is looking for and needs; a vast selection of quality carpet at an exceptional price combined with the professional, dedicated service you need. There is no nickel and diming on costs such as paying extra per stairs or moving furniture and the padding is far superior to any others I saw. Any smart consumer in the market for carpet should visit their showroom on Devon…it is evident they have figured this business out over the past 75+ years!

Avoid this business. We were longstanding customers and brought in a runner for cleaning. The runner was damaged by Klujian to the point it could not be displayed in our home, which we did not observe until we unwrapped the runner, examined it and then returned it. The ends and the sides were chewed up by Klujians machinery. He denied his machines did the damage, and said it was normal wear and tear. This means the runner was in this condition when we brought it to him, which was clearly wrong. We wouldnt have it in our home in this condition. His offer to repair the item was at his cost which was twice the amount of the cleaning bill. He was clearly resolved not to do anything to correct his mistake; his demeanor was one of complete defensiveness.Avoid this business.

They have the old world expertise, craftmanship and equipment to revitalize your carpet.My father is a longtime customer of theirs who used them for cleaning our oriental carpets. My family recently brought a very weathered and worn Persian carpet from the 1920’s to their shop for cleaning and repair and the results were astounding! This included repairs to tears in the carpet, worn spots, and fraying edges. We almost did not recognize the carpet when we got it back. My family and I would highly recommend their services.

Above and beyond! A pipe burst and flooded my basement after the polar vortex on Saturday. I called multiple big name companies and was directed to leave messages on their answering services. NOT Klujian and sons! Hiag came out on super bowl Sunday and his crew removed my wet carpet by Monday! They cut out the wet drywall, removed molding, sprayed mildew deterent, put up fans and dehumidifiers! My allergies and my daughters asthma thank him and his Miracle workers! The big name companies have only started returning my calls now- 6 days later!

I have been using Mathew Klujians and Sons for years to clean and buy new carpets and rugs. They are knowledgable, professional and wonderful. Not only were they able to clean my carpet but they were able to fix the damage other carpet cleaning companies made. When I needed to buy carpeting and rugs for my new house they came out with endless samples and ideas that made the process of picking out rugs a pleasure. I highly recommend them!
