Ive only been here twice but I absolutely love it; one of my favorite LCS. They have a great selection of back issues and are super friendly. This is a shop you want to buy from!

I cannot recommend this store enough! I had my order shipped to me on the other side of the country and after checking out, I realized I made a mistake on one of the comic variants I ordered. I emailed them asking if I could switch it and they were able to accommodate me, no problem.Only thing youll have to take into account is that it might take a little longer for them to ship em out, since theyre a local shop. But considering the pandemic is also still happening, I think the time it took to receive my comics was just fine! Thanks so much, guys!

I highly recommend coming first to G-mart for all your comic needs. We lost our two comic shops here in my hometown last year and the nearest store is over an hour away so I started ordering online. They are the best shop I have dealt with. Excellent customer service and excellent delivery. Ive only had one issue and they went over and beyond what I expected. Keep up the great work!

I was looking for a book by a specific artist and couldnt remember the name and the staff was fantastic with suggestions and being patient while I dug through a friends Facebook posts to find the one with the mentioned artist.

Really great place to find a lot of comics and staff are very friendly but if youre looking for manga there isnt really that big of the selection.

Excellent little shop, and my go to in Logan Square. The only reason I take a star off is that their selection can be a little spotty on rare occasions, and their hours are w i l d. Otherwise you cant beat it for the area. Def stop by.

This review is for an online order. Ill start with the good. I received a prompt reply to my question concerning packaging and condition of the comic. The comic was shipped in a timely manner considering I selected economy shipping speed, and it arrived 10 business days after placing the order. A rigid comic mailer was used, and packaging provided sufficient protection. The bad part of the experience is that the comic has several color breaking spine ticks, and has significant surface wear on the cover. Lower right corner is slightly bent, and there is also an indentation on the cover from handling wear. G-mart guarantees their comics to be VF to NM. I would say what I received is maybe a VF-, maybe a little worse, but definitely not satisfactory. The price was a little high for this issue at the grade I estimate it at. I wont be a repeat customer.

G-Mart Comics is the BEST in the business. Been a member since 2004. Don has been running the greatest online comic book service before most shops halfway understood how to do it. He responds to emails quickly and cares that his customers are happy.

Cool small place. They hold some events which is great, but I do wish they matched Amazons prices on comics. Id be shopping there all the time then.

I love comics and G-Mart has the goods. They have a huge selection of comics from every publisher and a great selection of trades and graphic novels. They also have an amazing number of back issues. They are also great for table top gamers! They have a good selection of games and game supplies. Dice, manuals and mini-figures! You can also get action figures, tshirts and statues. I always find something I want to buy. Their staff is also very friendly welcoming and knowledgeable about their product and can help with suggestions if youre looking for something new to read or shopping for a gift for that geek in your life.

I almost religiously buy my graphic novels here. The woman who works here is my favorite! Everytime I come in she makes great conversation! She recommended 2 great new series to me based on my extremely picky taste I described to her. She was spot on with what she thought I would enjoy! I cannot wait to finish these two series so I can ask her for her next recommendations!

Preordered some comic books which I understand takes time. When I messaged to say I want to end couple of my preorder I did not receive my money back from them. I know 5-6 bucks isnt alot but it something I could have just turned around aOrdered another comic from them that wasnt preorder

Ive been coming to this comic store for a little over a year or so and Ive never had a bad experience here. Ive always encountered very nice, friendly and helpful people. Even some of the employees that were there when I started coming is no longer there, they still have very helpful and friendly staff as if today.Their collectible items are limited but it seems to be growing as well. Ive even found a couple of POP items that Ive yet to see at other comic shops!Bottom line, as Ive been taught in life, when you walk into an establishment, say hello. If you need help, ask for it. People are not mind readers (not that I know of). In todays world, people are not as friendly as others or ourselves. Sometimes, it takes a friendly person to meet a friendly one. The people at G-mart are friendly and helpful too. Ill continue to recommend this place as one of my top favs. ☺

Definitely a hidden gem for the area, great selection of board games, vast library of comic books, very friendly staff. Right next to Logan Square Blue Line to easily accessible and they have many board/ card game events.

I love that you can walk into this comic book store and not be judged by their staff or patrons. Often times at other stores you feel unwelcomed. That is not the case here at all. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

G mart is always an amazing place to go to. Theyve got a lot of great stuff. Comics, toys, etc.

Love this place. Very accommodating to what I want. I told them what I wanted to start a mailbox with and even though it wasnt very much, they fulfilled my request. They also tend to do a lot of cool events like holding a mock wedding reception for the Northstar marriage that was in the comics recently.

The first time I went here the little kid in me came out - there were so many items that made me all kid like. Then I spotted a hardcover book for a male friend of mine I thought hed like (hes a HUGE fan of the Legend of Zelda) which I eventually bought - along with other comics (some I gave to the daughter of another friend of mine, who enjoyed them) and I was NOT disappointed! The owner is a very cool guy Id hang out with outside the shop!

This is where you go. I dont know where you were gonna go, but this is it now. Staff is super friendly, helpful, and way more knowledgeable than I could ever hope to be. My advice is take the blue line and a backpack.

Today I was very excited to go to G-Mart comics and pick up two comics I had been waiting for to come out. I had checked online that they were in stock, and they were, but upon arriving at the store to purchase them I was informed that their inventory staff does not work on the weekend (which I found astounding), only during the week. So needless to say, I was very disappointed, as I work during the week and trying to get there after work would be very inconvenient. The other alternative given is to have them in the mail, which was what I was trying to avoid as I dont want them damaged. Mostly Im upset at the fact that I was there during business hours with money in hand, the comics were in store , yet I was told I couldnt purchase them. I dont see myself going back there as Im only free on the weekend and dont wish to be told we cant go in the back and get it for you.Update: Since my review Ive gone back and theyve been very accommodating to get me what I want. So Ive changed my one star to a four, and to be clear to other shoppers if you want any comics that are in their back/archival inventory, you need go in during the week or let them know during the week and theyll have it ready for the weekend.

Great service, top notch recommendations. They also host game nights, and Ive been dying to drop by one of those. Be sure to scope out parking though, youre not likely to get a spot right next to the door.

Literally just purchased a comic that I didnt notice was ripped came back not 1 minute later lady tells me they have a fresh copy of the exact same comic in the store and continues to tell me I can purchase that one but she cannot swap the damaged copy for me because its from their online stock and would mess up their system. After a small back and forth she runs to the back for some reason and comes back to tell me the exact same nonsense. Yes they have a fresh copy but no she refuses to swap the comics because of how their system works. Her inability to work with me has lost you guys a customer Ill take my business else where.

This comic book and board game store is well stocked, and well staffed. The venue has plenty of room where they host D&D Adventurers League, MtG, etc. Im not a comic book fan per se, but I saw no gaps in the board game stock nor the D&D stock. The store even had a good selection of RPG minis and paints (though no painting station, which to be fair I havent seen in a very long time)

Good comic book store with what seems like an emphasis on periodic comics. They have a section of graphic novels, anthologies, and nicer editions, but for people following on-going comics, this place seems to hit the nail on the head. They have a limited selection of designer toys and other nice novelties as well. Staff are friendly and will help you find titles; even when you can only remember the publisher and vague information about the characters.

A nice place to buy your comic books, and more. The owner is helpful, and there is often something going on in the store. They have just about every comic book you can think of, and they are easy to find.

The place is nice, has a great setup of how the comics are set up, and knowing how rare it is to find a spawn comic is amazing since i can find those comics in this place, the games they have are interesting, and the guides are especially handy, I even love the fact that they also got shirts and the staff are real friendly, already planned on keeping up on the latest items the store has to offer.

I have been going here for about a year, and the staff has always been very friendly. Just recently though, I was kicked out by the one of the ladies working there. I was reading one of the D&D books and had been sitting there for about 30 minutes. I had been saving up for this book for a while and seeing that I am a past customer, I thought it was fine. Turns out it wasnt. The lady got upset at me, and told me to leave and not come back.

I have been to every single comic book store in Chicago and by fare g mart is the best. The selection is vast and includes everything from big name Marvel and DC to valiant and avatar. Has a detailed website that includes every single comic book they have. The owner Pat is a really nice guy and is always willing to give suggestions. The rest of the staff is also very kind and knowledgable. I love this store, and I cant waittogo back!

Great place for anime and comic books. I came here after visiting a nearby record store, not really looking for anything specific. Overall I must say that I enjoyed visiting this store. They had several mangas and lesser known comics I had been searching for which was a huge plus. Their prices are good as well. Two thumbs up and a couple fingers more.
