These guys work around the clock. They’re open until 5 am. They do their best to quickly diagnose the issue with your car and give you a great deal. Unfortunately I had a cracked rim which was causing my tire to have a slow leak. They put a spare on for me in seconds and I was out the door. They are constantly busy but will do their best to get you in and out with the best rate possible. Oh and they’re very thorough too. Glad I found them.

These men saved my butt. My battery broke in Chicago, and after getting it towed at 11am, they had a new battery in there by 12:45am, and it was only $140. Mr. Chaudhry (forgive me if I misspelled) was straightforward, honest, and charged what he said. His technician did great work and my wife and I got home.Thank you Star Auto! You guys are great.

I dont like to give negative reviews, therefore I gave this five stars. This place says that its open until 5 am, however, I showed up at 4:10 a.m. the only time that I am available to get an oil change and of course they are closed. It only figures, I spoke to a gentleman on the phone and he assured me that they would be open. His insurance is yet another empty promise from people who claim to be open when they really arent open. Sad State of Affairs when I drive over 30 minutes to get to this place in order to have my oil changed only to be left with no option.

Good, quick, cheap service. The new battery came with a 90-day guarantee...unfortunately different parts of my car failed a few days later, but it wasn’t because of the new battery they gave me! Longer hours compared to other body shops which made it a good choice for me.

They damaged my $10,000 car by driving it without oil because the owner Chowdhry did not put oil back in the tank and engine ceased. They denied it at my face and left me on street tony and Chowdhry are not trustworthy these guys purposely damage cars so they can make money NEVER GO HERE

The guy at the front was a little rude, I dont know his name. They installed spark plugs on my car last year. The fit of the spark plugs was correct however they used platinum spark plugs on my car when my car needed iridium plugs. They charged me just as much as they would have for the iridium plugs which was a rip off. They should have charged me less for platinum plugs. Those platinum plugs lasted only 20,000 miles and 3 of them had misfires. This place is only good for an oil change. Go to Steves Auto Service on Peterson and California, ten times better service and prices.

At midnight on a Friday night 100 miles into a 750 mile drive for vacation when our car was broken down on the side of the expressway in Chicago, I wasnt sure where or when we were going to be able to get the car looked at or repaired. We found Star Auto Repair online and called to make sure they were open. We finally got there around 1:30am. They were busy but assured us they would take a look at it shortly. Around 2 am they told us what the problem was and that we could get parts at a local 24hr AutoZone. We picked up the parts and returned. By 4am they had the repairs made and the car was running again. The labor charge was $150. I felt that was a very reasonable charge for the work they performed. We finished the trip with another 1550 miles without another problem. I would recommend Star Auto Repair to anyone needing auto repairs in the area.

This auto shop is a secret Jewel of Chicago. Its open from 9 a.m. to 5 a.m. everyday, I often take my car in after 10 p.m. to get worked on due to my busy schedule.This is not a typical shop, but they do excellent work and you will get great prices on labor and services. These people are Pros at car maintenance AND repair. I have gotten my brakes and rotors replaced, multiple oil changes, bumpers replaced, and other miscellaneous repairs. All for excellent prices and generally speedy service

I went there because my car was showing engine check sign. The guy educated me to change 4 spark plugs and 2 ignition coils, which I did paying $270. And after two days, the engine check sign was back on. And I revisited them and the owner now tells me that there is some kind of leak. And I have to pay $65 for emission test. The shame fact is that there was no need of changing those parts. Such a dishonest and Misleading people. I will say if you want to spend money on working parts, visits STAR ‘liars’ AUTO.

I was there to change my car front brake & router. They change it and charge me $135. But actually they didnt change my router just chnage the brake and clime they change router also. I was driving to the Lincoln,NE, I felt something wrong with my car so I took my car to auto shop they told me my front brack is new but router need to change. I was shocked, I come beck to the store ask them about it, they didnt believe me than i show them the credit card change. They say they charge me for only brake and I did something else. They cheat me.

They said for fix my car it will take 2 hours. Instead 2 hours I spent 4 hours .Only after 2 hours they brought parts and one more hour later they start to fix my car.

This shop is most likely best for standard maintenance at a quick pace. I made a mistake of bringing in my car when it had issues with the fuel line.They assured me that they could patch/splice in a new line, and that my leak would be fixed. They had an absurd pricing system that was based on how many lines they might break in repairing the leak. And two days after the initial work, there was another fuel leak due to bad parts.I brought it back in, and without looking very hard they told me there was most likely a puncture in the fuel tank. Another shop confirmed that their work was inadequate. I leaked a total of 8 gallons of gasoline. Thats pretty damn scary.Moral: Star Auto can change your oil and replace your headlights quickly, but maybe leave the dangerous stuff to another shop. Nunos Complete Auto Care took care of me and Ill be going there for the foreseeable future.

For repais and general servicing, i always go to this shop. Very affordable prices, they are very busy on weekends and evenings. I take my car on day time, less crowded, they took a longer time to fix but complete it in a good way. Money worth it, just have to be a lot patience here for your turn and work.

I have a 2010 Mazda 6. Being a Chicago car since 2013 it had a lot of paint chipped on the bumpers. So front and back bumpers cost me 550. The job was “OK” but the place just seemed suspicious. First it was cash only, then it wasn’t then it was. When I asked if there was any kind of warranty I didn’t get an answer. When I pressed him (The owner) he told me to read what’s on the contract.Bottom line is if you have an older basic car (ie Camry, Accord, Kia etc.) that needs some body work/ painted bumpers and you don’t want to spend a lot I recommend.If you have a newer or premium car I do NOT recommend.

I also like how they are not packed full of cars and have multiple bays to work on multiple cars. I also like how they are not too expensive. Will definitely return for future repairs

I had problem with my driver side door and it had to be changed. They made it good for less money. The color wasnt excatly same with the rest of car. I mean its a gold car but when you look details you can see the difference and I thinks its normal. Its 12 years old car and sun snow cold hot etc. The color gets different. I thinks they made good.

Please stay away from this place.I came to do major repair work, which after completion caused more problems. After a few days, I brought a car back to fix the issue, but their mechanic wasnt able to resolve it.I ended up bringing my car back twice. On the last visit they even replaced another part without my consent, which yet again did not resolve the problem.This body shop might be good for an oil change, but I dont think their mechanics are qualified to do substantial work on a car.

This is the worst auto shop in the world. They rip you off as much as they can, by saying its cheap labor or cheap everything. People working there don’t know jack about cars. Only thing they good in is breaks and paint. These guys made me buy parts without testing what was wrong with the car. And said oh yeah we tested it, and that’s what the odbc reader says and you must get that so we can install. That didn’t solve the issue. I take my car back there and they charge on again for new parts. And claims something else needs to be fixed that they can do it. But it will solve the issue. I finally took this to a good shop with good reviews in the burbs ran by white people. I paid little extra they kept my car for 3 weeks and tested it and need to just get one part that was the issue nothing else. these at start auto had me change 3 parts.. smh… please avoid going here. They will rip you and your car will never be the same. Avoid at all cost.

I dont recommend this place. If they tell you, leave the car and will call you when the car is ready, dont ever agree. I gave them my car to change the alternater and they told me to come back and will call me when the car is ready. When I get there to pick up the car, all my valuables stuffs are stolen, they didnt even left the penny . I really got upset and talked to the manager about it, he said there is nothing he could do. He didnt even said sorry. I talk to my lawyer if there is I can do so I will let you know when I get justice. So please dont ever near to this place.

WORST experience ever!!! WORST experience ever!!!Went there for tire rotation, the guy said $40 (or $10 per tire) ...What the hell ?Of course I did not pay the 40 dollars...I said to the guy (looked like the owner) that I have been here before and was never charged this much before for a simple tire rotation and even asked him to check his prior records. He simply said NO !!!Then I said I will not come here again..and he said OKAY... dont come...wow, what a bad attitude this guy has.

I went there because my break light not working.so i found out the wire was unplug .and they charged me $60.00 to plug it back on.the mechanic brook the front seat adjuster by pushing it back to get under the wheel.and he could not fix it and sorry.next he tired to start the car , car did not start .so he told me my starter is bad i need a new one. and charge me $150.00.over all very bad experience.
