I only go to save a lot to pick up a few last minute items. I always end up getting a little more than anticipated. The store is always clean and well stocked. The cashiers move the lines.

I mean its a grocery store..I come for the meats and fish...also frozen foods..prices are reasonable and also a great spot to get bakery goods such as: cakes, pastries, donuts etc

My favorite grocery store

You can get most items you need at slightly higher price. But it was satisfactory. Im not keen on their produce section... always gnats in abundance. So I only grab green bananas. Was able to get cereal in a large bag, Almond milk, waffles, 2 bottles of Goya seasoning & other items. If youre not in the mood or mindset for big retail, crowds or far driving, its a decent local spot. Just stop in & get out.

They have cheap meat and pretty good prices on lots of things here. Since they remodelled, it looks so much better in here. Their frozen food section could use a bit of an update but all in all they have a pretty good selection of things. I especially like their Mexican food and spice selection of things.

Get good groceries here for your money 💰. Lots of top brands of food. The staff is friendly.

I like this Save A Lot store, I pass a Save A Lot store in my neighborhood to go to this one. Its very organized and they have a wide variety of of the foods I like. The Owner and the help are awesome.

The Sav a Lot in South Chicago Heights is one of the better stores. The meat is fresh and they carry a variety of other goods including dairy, frozen and canned food.

My neighborhood groceries store. Very safe to shop, they maintained social distance rules and cdc mask regulations. Very clean and the employees are very respectful and friendly.

Nice friendly neighborhood grocery store. They closed down the 79th Street location, which affected a lot of Senior Citizens. What a Shame.

Just went to grab some water that was on sale. Four 24 cases of water for $10. I was in and out in about 5 minutes.

Sumtimes smells like the meat is spoiled

Make sure the cashier is ringing up the right produce item or check your receipt before you leave. I was overcharged a couple of times. The first time it happened I just let it slide. Too much inconvenience to drive all the way back and try to get a refund. Then it happened again. So I decided to call the store and she told me to come in and will issue a refund but it has to be done within TWO days, that’s how long the receipt is good for. So, with the current COVID 19 situation and not wanting to go back within the 2 day time frame I got stiffed again. On a scale of one to five, I give them a big fat zero. Crooks.

They recently updated the store; now you have more choices for produce. The store is very clean and well stocked. They have all new standing freezers. They removed the old freezers that was on the floor. You dont have to buy bags there free!!

This place stays well stocked and maintained. Competitive prices. Only wish theyd stay open an hour or 2 later as I usually shop at night and end up having to go next door to Jewels.

I consider Save A Lot as a discount grocery store, has a lot of low cost items. The meat and vegetable sections are plentiful and fresh. I shop here often.

Save-A-Lot is not bad, it is conveniently located side-by-side with Jewel-Osco. Jewel is the more expensive store in town and Save-A-Lot is the less expensive store in town. One of the main differences is Jewel employees a lot of checkout lines where a Save-A-Lot doesnt. You also have to know what do you want to get from Save-A-Lot because there isnt a huge selection of meat and fruits and vegetables, however if youre not super picky and you want lower prices and good quality I recommend Save-A-Lot

It is well stocked and they have a variety of products and meats that you want. You dont have to search for anything.

Be careful in buying the meat. I bought ground beef once that was gray on the inside. They put a coating of fresh ground beef around a greyed ground beef. Gross.

I was taking my time shopping yesterday because I was on a tight budget. Putting things in my cart and taking things out before I made my final decision. Next thing I know, I see people watching me as if I was trying to steal something. Very obvious! It made me feel very uncomfortable and disrespected!

Limited selection, but great prices on what they do have. Definitely worth a stop.
