Meats are horrible prices are high not very clean. Needed Italian sausage and it was brown. It was anything but Italian sausage.

We order. I have to fight whit the manager. Because my order come 6 hours late. So tjey very ignore it. The owner is cool but the employees not good at all.

I like this store. The owner/manager is very courteous and even makes sure he bags and works along side his employees. They keep the store clean and it seems he hires kids form the neighborhood. This is a real neighborhood store.

The only market in Chester an everything in it is over priced for instance a three pack of cup of soups is almost $3 when you can go to family Dollar and get it for $1.This store will not get any of my money.I really miss the old one,an the carrot cash.

Its a very clean store but its really over priced. Also the employees are very nice and polite. The manager says hello and goodbye every time while helping bad my groceries.

This place charges way too much for common items for where they are located. The prices are much higher compared to Walmart, Shop Rite and even Giant! The selection is low, but it’s a smaller store. I’m amazed they keep it clean in here. Produce section is okay. The overall food selection is not that healthy. The employees absolutely refuse to bag my groceries when I bring my reusable cloth/poly shopping bags from home, and this is important because plastic bags are the bane of society. Plastic bags are made from petroleum and are a major source of pollution in this area. Cousin’s Fresh Market SELLS EXPIRED FOOD. I have to constantly check the dates on everything I pick up! If you attempt to do a bunch of shopping here, good luck because they only have two carts. The store that was formally here (Fare & Square, and they were no angels) had very nice hand baskets, the new hand baskets now are smaller and of inferior quality. They’re getting one star not because it’s the lowest that I can give, but they do deserve at least one star for their meat selection. It looks great and everything appears to be fresh. BTW, I love all these fake reviews with five stars that don’t say anything about the store. If you can, you should avoid this place. I guess if you need meat or eggs it’s “okay”. The bagels here are an absolute joke, some of them in the bags are hard as a rock and there is no expiration date, I think they’ve been there for months. Certainly a place that does not believe in FIFO and if you have to ask what that is, well you’re already not doing well. Watch for expired bags of potato chips and expired cereal. I feel like companies should stop dealing with them because they’re misrepresenting the products by letting them go bad. Place is a rip off. I hate going in there. It’s a problem every single time. Hope this place closes down and another better business takes it over because we’re just getting worse than fare and square at this point.

Ive been going to this store ever since it was called Fair & Square, and I love that they have food and snacks from South America. Its a pleasure going there, and the manager listens to their customers when they say something is expired or they want something added to the store.

This Food market is fantasticThey actually delivered my food FREE 2 MY HOME. U HAVE 2 SPEND $60.00 OR MORE 4 FREE DELIVERY. THE PEOPLE THAT WORK THERE WERE SO HELPFUL TY 2 ALL OF U ESPECIALLY THE MANAGEMENT!

Only market in the area with decent selection of products for everyone and catering to the low income families. Prices on some products are a little high but doable. Convenient. Most staff are friendly n helpful.

Clean but prices can be high. On some days the offer free fruits which is good! You also have a store card in which u scan each time u shop and it builds up to something called carrot cash which is money that you can use when you shop

The driver of van # EU700 was flying through a school zone, blew 2 stop signs on Summit St and was doing at least 30 MPH down Summit and the speed limit is 15. It is 8 AM and kids are heading to school and bus stops. Next time I see it I report it to the Lower Chichester Police.

I like the carrot cash. Seven cents back from every dollar that you spend aint bad. It adds up quick.

Okay...a roll of toilet paper that normally is 79 cents is 1.55$ Cheapest pound of American cheese is 3.50$. Basically, what I am saying is THIS PLACE IS OVERPRICED. Damn shame too. Everything is expensive. This place is no fare & Square. Now its its nice because they are stocked with goods, and meats but why the hell would I pay 4$ for a gallon of Arizona Tea?? If you have to go here, I understand. But I warned you! I guess this place stays going because of their home deliveries..but just go to Save alot and get your meats from Sam & Sams. I dont appreciate price gouging.

I ordered a hoagie and said let me pay for it now so I can run to the other store to grab a pack of cigarettes. I come back in 10 minutes and the guy never even started making my hoagie. Remind you Im only on a 15 minute break so I ended up having to wait until lunch time to eat. Worst customer service ever. And the manager there flagged me (as in waved his hand as if he doesnt care.) Will never be going there again. I wish I can give 0 stars

This place is disgusting.I went here because it was advertised as a low budget grocery option for low income households, sponsored by the non profit Philabundance, with a focus on healthful eating.Youre supposed to sign up and if you qualify in a low income bracket, you get 3% back in carrot cash to spend on future visits, and you have access to fresh, free produce.I got there and there was no one staffing the front desk/membership area. I stood there for nearly ten minutes. I tried to get the attention of some of the women working in the checkout aisle and they were completely ambivalent. They just shrugged me off.Finally a man who appeared to be a manager happened to come by, and I told him Id been waiting. He tracked down a woman who was very nice, but basically said their computer system was malfunctioning. They could sign me up but my card wouldnt work so I wouldnt get my 3% back that day. She did sign me up, but it took absolutely forever.Then I went shopping, and it was just pathetic. 50% of what they have is off brand, and 75% of what they have is just garbage food. Nothing healthy or fresh about it.On top of that, the prices are outrageous. Everything is full manufacturer retail price, with VERY FEW exceptions.I wound up spending just over $91 for a few bags of groceries. If I had gone to WalMart or Grocery Outlet, I would have gotten 3X the items for less money.On top of that, the free fresh produce was disgusting. I had a choice of rotting zucchinis, cucumbers that were just BARELY serviceable, some individual serving baggies of baby carrots, or kale that looked like it was ready to liquefy. Oh, and boxes of apples that HAD turned liquid. Literally, the apple peel was just holding in liquid content. You could squeeze the apples like a wet sponge.This place is no service to people who are desperate for accessible, healthy, inexpensive groceries. It should be shut down.

I didnt know there was a Cousins Market in Chester!, But it was very clean! Its only a 1/3 of the size of the other stores, but it still has all of the essentials as well as the meat department and Deli. Customer service was Spot on!!

Was the only grocery store around this area, which I thought of it as a GOD send. But after about two years they said screw us poor people, sold the store to some less favorable people. I guess those out of town rich people had a little experiment in our getto then decided to cut their losses right away. They were doing all this b.s. acting like they cared about the neighborhood... But real people tend to spot phony bologne. So really they shouldnt even get one 🌟 from me but I cant give 0, come on Google. LoL

I like that the place is clean, easy accessible and friendly customer service.But it is a little bit pricier compared to other grocery stores like save a lot, save way, acme e.c.t. Even though they have a wide variety of Goods, they could expand their varietys.

It would be nice if the stop selling out dated food and bad meats that is brown and uncovered, the pack of meat you get less, you could buy lunch meat but you have to use it that night because if you wait to use it the next day it starts smelling the store is taking advantage of the people in the neighborhood.
