Great customer service. Friendly and knowledgeable. Winston Whitehurst, Khalia, and Jerome were knowledgeable and honest. First, I want to say, I was happy to find out that the dealership was open on a Sunday. I had two dealerships I wanted to go to, but I ended up going to only one. I walked into Southern GMC-KIA and got helped right away. Winston greeted me and asked me how he could help. I told him what I was looking for and next thing you know, we were outside having a great time. He showed me couple of 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 Elevation and SLT models. Test drove it around and I was hook. The other dealership I wanted to go to was Priority Chevrolet. At the end I didnt need to pay them a visit because I was happy with the Service and offer provided. I want to believe they offered me good value for my trade-in and price for the 2021 Sierra Elevation. Definitely recommending this location to my friends and family.

This was my first time there. I didn’t have a warm welcoming experience. I sat in the cold waiting on my car and didn’t know there was a place I could have sat inside to stay warm. And then the prices do an oil change was outrageous. I call Toyota priority dealership and they were cheaper by almost $30’s. I will Never come to your dealership again.

I had a great experience at the dealership! Wes was definitely by far a huge help! He was very nice and helpful when it came to the car and getting information on prices and the different models. Essence is a great help and is very good at explaining all the warranties and offers featured at the dealership. She was very nice and open to any questions and wasn’t against going out of her way to find the answer. And the finance manager was great! I don’t remember her name but she was straight to the point and very helpful.

Great place and great staff. Talked with Lauren Heist on several occasions looking for different vehicle options. My experience here was truly amazing. It started from the professional sales man Reginald Myers who greeted me and my husband on a Monday evening with how can I help you. Mr. Reginald didnt hassle my husband and I but made us feel as part of there family. He ensure us that we were going to leave out with an excellent vehicle. He was true on his word.Tania Gibbs embraced us with a warm welcome and smile as she worked on our documents. Of course we kept her laughing 🤣 but she didnt miss a beat of what she informed us with. She was even excited when she found something that was even better for me and my husband to handle. Khalifa Douglas also had excellent customer service. Poor dealership. Sales people are nice however they will buckle and dime you for your trade-in. Even with the chip shortage and advertising $1000 more for your trade, they’ll still offer you as little as they can and then sell your car for 80-100% profit. Their “managers” are so poor at helping people out with their trade-ins. If you’re looking for a place that’ll help you at all cost, and for sure will give you top dollar for your trade-in go to a hall or checkered flag dealership. They offered me $4000 more than what any southern dealership was willing to offer.

Even though we werent really looking to purchase, we came home with one😳. Talked us into it cause we knew they wouldnt have another anytime soon. Came down on the price and gave great value for my tradein. We already purchased gmc before so we knew what we were getting. As always, since 5th vehicle, from them they are curtious, helpful and break everything down to help it make sense. Got payments we were comfortable with, friendly and wanted to make sure we could leave to pick up our kids in time while they got the vehicle ready and had ready almost at time promised! Leann, Ron, Jerome, Khalia, and Ryan we awesome. Had to come back for protection package and Essence and Ryan again were super helpful and speedy with the process. Extremely happy and love my Truck!!! Its better than my husbands😜😜

Particular type of customer i came to gmc greenbrier a few weeks ago and gave everyone a hard time i ended up leaving and doubling back today because i realized no one was working as hard as Reginald aka Reggie he definitely had my best interest at heart he worked hard to get me in something that i could walk away happy with i also got to sit down with Mikul who made sure all my needs were met they both worked really hard to make sure that i got what i wanted for a good price and i can tell you i was not easy thanks to you both for making my transition into my new car as smooth as possible IF YOU DECIDE TO PURCHASE A CAR PLEASE GO SEE MY GUYS AND TELL THEM I SENT YOU they both put in the work to make sure your happy and this was a great example of how you should be treated when purchasing a vehicle thanks again you guys were great !!!!!!

Brian Helppie was my dealer and he helped me get in a car that matched my very intense list and stayed till 9 pm on a Saturday to help me. I love my new car and would recommend Brian. Jerome Davis, financial stayed till almost 9 pm to help me get in it by helping me with insurance issues and Essence was sweet, and professional and stayed late for me too! I showed back up at 630 pm after making my mind up but had insurance and trade issues, no fault of the dealership but they helped me through them all and werent even upset they stayed late. SUPER nice and professional 10/10 highly recommended. Thank you three so much and tell your manager he is nice too.

My experience at the dealership was excellent. My sales rep Khalia was great and was there through the entire process, she made sure I knew that she was always available and that I should text or call on her personal cell phone. She was very flexible with my schedule and made sure I was comfortable and had no questions. Stephanie was great as well she made sure I was well informed on all the protection packages and that all the options for having a new car were available to me. Ryan, my finance manager, was amazing helping to find the lowest interest rate and making sure I had the best extended warranty for my driving and worked to fit my monthly payment budget. All three stayed at the dealership well after business hours to make sure I was satisfied and didnt have questions and they all went above and beyond and made my experience the best one possible.

Every time I bring my vehicle in for service, it is like I am the service advisor. I drop off my vehicle the night before to ease in the service appointment. The next day comes and I have to call to get an update on my vehicle on whether or not it is done. This time my vehicle was in for a regular service and to have a steering issue looked at. Had to call everyday to even get an update on my vehicle and it was kept multiple days with promises of part availability and those parts never came in. I was without my vehicle for a week and no vehicle provided. The service department really needs to be looked at and evaluated. Would strongly not recommend this department for anyone. If 0 stars was an option that is what I would put.

Purchased 2021 Acadia Denali in July and when I got home noticed passenger rear tire was low and was missing valve stem cap. When I returned to dealership for undercoat and paint protect I notified the dealership of the issue they patched the tire. We started noticing the tire was slowing leaking air again in Early August and took car in to be serviced and was told tire needed to be replaced, I thought no problem I have road hazard on my tires. Turns out the dealership had removed the road hazard from my contract during negotiations for monthly payment. I ended up taking the car somewhere other than Southern to have the tire replaced. Very dissatisfied with the service, I would have never purchased a car without road hazzard coverage, I missed that part in the contract and was led to believe the platinum protection covered rims and tires and now the dealership refuses to make this right or return my calls.

Kendra in service was extremely professional and courteous regarding my issue with my 2021 Chevy Silverado HC. She promptly got the necessary parts to resolve a known issue (e.g., lifters). Additionally, GMC Southern service department was the only dealership that could address my issue immediately unlike the many others that only offered to schedule an appointment three weeks out. Absolutely HORRIBLE!! Bought a vehicle from here and had a broken door handle. Was told they ordered the part to fix it. Only to find out a month later when I inquired about it that it was never even ordered and nobody knew anything about it. Finally after jumping through hoops I got it done. Now on my 3rd set of 30 day temp tags and still have not received my plate. Called the dmv and they have no record or receipt of receiving anything for my vehicle. Can’t get anyone on the phone here. Not even a manager. Absolutely terrible customer service.

One star, would not recommend. Zero follow up after the sale, my sales person no longer works there. Several issues after purchasing a new truck.Full size spare tire is owed to me per the purchase contract.The low jack installed is actually programed to another vehicle.Brought the truck in for an oil change, some trim panels that needed replaced and a squeaky passenger running board due to undercoat overspray.Not one item listed above was fixed or complete, not even the oil was changed. My truck was at the shop for three days.I constantly call and visit only to be left with constant disappointment. Most my issues are easily fixable but no one at this dealership wants to fix them or take charge. The receptionist is nice.

Salesman Kerome H was thorough and professional and provided excellent support to the final sale. Sales price was fair. Business office was excellent. Down sides are overall store management - disorganized appearance, lax environment and low professionalism - not that expected of a larger network of dealerships. Trade in appraisal was 60% below Carmax - had to return there to sell. Auto Group has poor customer service outside of personally going to a dealership. Multiple attempts to call dealership led to 25min+ on hold until hanging up. Left email to sales manager who called me 2 days later to tell me he was at a different dealership and can’t help what happened at another’s. No offer to transfer or to let someone else know in auto group. Zero concern about image or customer service. Jerome H saved the day and the sale for Southern he gets 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

This review is a reflection of the GMC service department only, not the sales department.Since purchasing my truck from the dealership I have exclusive used their service department for maintenance and upkeep, mostly because all oil changes and state inspections are free with purchase of the vehicle. Each time I have used their service department they have been on the slow side but it was not terrible. Today, not so much. I scheduled an appointment for an oil change and state inspection first thing in the morning and dropped off my vehicle for the appointment the evening before. I called the department at noon to get the status, no one answered so I left a message, did not receive a call back. I called back again a few minutes later and the receptionist could not provide me an update. I asked to have the service manager contact me. An hour later I finally get a call back from the manager only find that my service had not even started. According to their website, the service department open at 7am, that’s 6 hours of working time for an oil change and inspection. The manager told me there was a backlog from services the day before that didn’t get finished and others who dropped off vehicles for the free oil changes. I can understand that, it happens. But I can’t understand why I was not informed of the backlog when I dropped it off the day before or called in the morning to let me know of the issues. When I asked the manager why no one informed me he said there was a problem with the phones from the days before and they couldn’t make outside calls. Am I to believe the managers do not have cell phones? Or was it simply because my services were free, I was pushed behind other paying customers, even though I had an appointment? I hope this is not the case, otherwise they need to stop advertising the free services, since that is a major reason I purchased the vehicle at southern as I am sure most people consider that factor as well. Needless to say I picked up my vehicle and left with no services being conducted, I could not be without my vehicle for the entire day without pre-planning for it. Free service is included in the price of the vehicle, it should not mean losing your vehicle for entire day to utilize that service. I mean, it’s just an oil change and inspection, that’s not a major job. I could write more about how everything happened today but then I doubt anyone will read it. I will finish with this, if I could give negative stars, I would today.

Went in for service on my radio. The radio changes station, song and the dash display on its own( Distraction). The tech said he couldn’t find nothing but recommended I just buy a new radio. The symptoms continue soon as I pulled out the parking lot. Yet the tech found nothing wrong with the recommendation of me buying a new radio. Complete waste of time and $145 diagnostic fee. With the recommendation of a new radio ( still under warranty) I’m stuck with the same issue and $145 lighter in my wallet!Update: Mike the service manger reached out to me and apologize for their mistake. He admitted that they fail me and wanted to make things right by resolving my issue. Within an hour, he had my warranty approved, deductible waived, radio order, diagnostic fee refunded and service appointment set. Not only did Mike make sure everything was set up, he personally drove to my house to pickup my truck and returned it when everything was finished.

From the beginning, I was met by three service department associates and not one greeted me. One of the three continues to eat a plate of food while finally addressing me. I was there for an hour getting an oil change and when I asked how much longer the woman that was STILL eating another plate seemed bothered to have to call to the back for a follow up. After another 15 minutes my vehicle came out and there was grease prints all over my $65K truck and on the steering wheel. To top it off. They didn’t reset the oil indicator in the vehicle. So what is the process or standard operating procedure these employees must follow? I’m literally shocked this place is open if the employees operate this way!

Bad service. The sales rep did not provide my interest rate until I read it while signing papers.. this Sales rep also scratched my passenger door when he crawled through the window partially to hit the onstar button before I even drove it off the lot, and saw it clear as day when I pulled into my driveway.. no response to fix it after numerous attempts as well as putting this on all their surveys they send..they scheduled my triple protection appt at 9am and nobody could be found to give my keys to because they were all in a meeting after running around the 2 buildings the front desk girl in sales had no idea what was going on...waited in my car for another 30 mins until I received a call that the woman I purchased the plan from was in her office (1030 by this point), and in turn my tint couldnt be done that day. they scheduled my 1st maintenance appt on a Sunday at 659am when theyre closed after I already drove 30 mins one way to be told theyre closed. I am done driving 30+ minutes one way for things not to be done fully, or be given the runaround

Our service writer Kendra is 5 star all the way! Any time I call she makes sure that I am 100 percent taken care of. I can not remember the techs name but he is also 5 star quality! He always makes sure I know what did and how he fix it. I live closer to the va beach dealer but I drive over 40 min one way just to have Kendra take care of my Yukon. I did not buy my GMC from this location but because of Kendra and the tech all my future purchases will be here. Not many places understand customer service anymore. I am happy to say that this is not the case at Southern GMC Greenbrier.

Great shopping experience. Worked with Kacie and she took exactly what we were looking for and worked to find exactly that. In the end we were able to get the exact truck we wanted and never felt pressured to get anything other than that. Will definitely do business there again.

I bought a used car - as soon as I walked up to the store Lauren Heist greeted me - was super helpful - she found the car I saw on the internet - was at another Southern store - she drove with me and sorted it all out - the process was fast and easy and Lauren was terrific to work with - wanted to also call out Farnham who helped with the documents and options available to protect the car - also a pleasure to work with - I highly recommend Southern, Lauren and Farnham

I just bought my first BRAND NEW CAR and Southern Greenbrier GMC really exceeded my expectations regarding the entire car buying experience! After shopping for several weeks and test driving many different makes and models, I kept comparing every vehicle to the GMC Acadia and every sales person to D’Aundre Whitfield! I love the fact that D’Aundre is not a high pressure salesperson but he is super knowledgeable about the GMC products and just an overall great guy to work with! He went above and beyond to ensure all of my questions were answered over multiple weeks of me trying to talk myself out of buying a new car. His super laid back and humble nature sold me as much as loving the Acadia itself. I was also really impressed with Bryan and the rest of the staff! We came to this dealership looking for a car we had seen online! We have no words to say how much we appreciate our saleswoman Kacie Folsom! We highly recommend you asking for her to have the best car buying experience. We couldn’t do the loan paperwork right there, but Kacie made sure to hold the car for us! Her attention to details is outstanding. We asked for leather seats to be installed in place of the fabric ones, and she arranged everything for us with the installer. We are very pleased and thankful for having met Kacie and the Southern Buick GMC team. We will definitely come back here when we need another car.

The most recent visit was to correct and amend a repair that had been paid for but not completed. There was 0 communication from the service representative, despite no fewer than 5 calls to them within a 24 hour period. We were actually told that everyone had gone to lunch and would not be able to be reached until after 1:00 p.m. at 11:15 a.m. on day 2. This type of service is what left us to leave our previously preferred dealership and do business with Southern GMC exclusively. This visit has tainted our opinion of Southern GMC.
