First off I’d like to start by saying I’ve been a customer here for the past 5 years and from what I’ve seen and experienced the store has been going downhill very quickly, The salesmen Butch has a complete and utter lack of interest in giving customers a good experience in store he is extremely rude to the point where I saw 3 customers walk out today to see them later in guitar center he kicked me and my friend out back in December of this year for simply trying out guitars together saying “this isn’t a concert venue” I refuse to buy anything from him in store however the other salesmen Tom is excellent and I highly recommend going to him if you are in the market for anything. As I’ve stated before I’ve been coming here for the past 5 years and what I’ve seen with customer service is driving this store into the ground

The associate John from the Cherry Hill, NJ location went above and beyond to help me. He could not locate the item in the system while I was in the store but called me about a half hour later and within minutes I made the purchase and the item was shipped later that day. John located an item that I could not find anywhere on the internet or locally. Excellent Job and Thank you!! Sam Ash should consider another shipper - FEDEX blows and could care less about the customer and their needs. I did not let my experience with FEDEX taint my review but their poor service will eventually affect your reviews in my opinion at some point.

The service was excellent. Im an experienced percussionist/drummer shopping for a set of Ludwig drums. I also needed some information on cymbals, bass drum pedals, and some percussion instruments. I was approached by Dylan who asked if he could be of any assistance. Not only was he knowledgeable, experienced, and very courteous, he was also very patient. He listened intently without interruption to my numerous questions, answered them thoroughly, gave me options, and gave me great recommendations which were spot-on with the type of sound I wanted out my instruments and that were within my budget. I definitely would recommend shopping here and would recommend asking for Dylan for assistance. I know Ill be when I return soon for future purchases. Dont order online. You will NEVER receive your product. I ordered a Washburn guitar in Sept 2020. Was told it was back ordered due to manufacturing and COVID. I was happy to wait for my guitar. After months of checking in on my order, randomly now June 2021 my order was canceled with out my permission or notification. Just F me, F my order. Well F you, Im going to Guitar Center.

I did not know what exactly buy for mixer to connect to our speaker.But the the person in there kindly answered my question and additionaly he solved my problem with good price also recommended one (connect things ; i dont know what to call) which I really needed.He saved my time and money.thanks

Sam Ash Cherry Hill is currently lacking most high end items. Barely any basses or guitars. Im assuming this is from covid and fall out in production from that. BUT REGARDLESS OF THAT, my sales guy Tom is awesome. He still manages to get me what I need even if we have to order it. He cares about the customer and makes you feel at home thanks again Tom

This was my 2nd purchase from Sam Ash and the customer service was superb. All the staff was very helpful and even during the exchange of instruments they were very helpful as well. From the warm welcome to the transaction to the loading of my vehicle this young gentleman was very pleasant. I really appreciated the staffs patience and the time they took to help me make a decision by giving me additional info. I was there several times and had interaction with 2 or 3 different staff members and they were all great. I will def. purchase from them again.

We had a great experience at Sam Ash music recently when inquiring about purchasing a beginners instrument. John “Wheels” (works in the section with classical music instruments) was able to guide us through the differences between the major musical instrument manufacturer and provided good information that allowed us to make a good decision. It’s not all about the price, but the value you get for the money you do spend. For all that expert advice from John (who’s not just a salesperson, but a musician and musical instrument technician), I say thank you!

I first visited Guitar Center in search of headphones and some assorted cords for my podcast setup but they didnt really have that much inventory so I went next door to Sam Ash. They had everything I needed and were very helpful. Great experience.

I went to the Cherry Hill store. I had been to the store the previous day looking at guitars with a friend. We spent a good hour or more trying out some hollow bodies. I appreciated the sales staff just letting us look and play- no pressure, no rushing us. I went home and decided that the type of guitar I was looking at was not really for me and the kind of music I play. I went back the next day to look at other guitars. Tom, the same sales person who helped us the day before recognized me when I said hello. Tom was helpful setting me up with same model amp I use at home and I began trying out guitars. I chose two different Telecaster models with his help and spent a good hour or so switching back and forth between the two models (there was significant differences between the two) and again I was able to play them without interference or sales pressure, but, when I had questions Tom was right there to help. I finally picked the Telecaster Thin Line. My experience at this Sam Ash was excellent and Tom was great. Thus, the five stars Ive given to this experience.

I play light gauge guitar strings and I needed a couple spare strings in case I broke one of the higher strings. Not all music stores carry loose spare strings, but Sam Ash did. I was able to get what I needed. The store associate was friendly and helpful, and answered the questions I had about replacement pickups for one of my guitars.

Ive been buying from Sam Ash for decades. I never had a bad experience. They are always helpful. Know take my grandson for guitar lessons. If he didnt have an amazing teacher, he wouldnt have stayed with it. Im forever grateful for this store. Music has been the most rewarding asset in my life. It matters to have the support it took over the years!

Good store though they don’t have much of a selection they better than guitar center. Staff is more engaged and friendly.

Our daughter is a musician and we wanted to buy her some equipment to surprise her. We don’t know anything about what we should get but the folks that work there were so knowledgeable about everything it put us at ease. Mike in audio was awesome. He was very patient with us and knew exactly what he was talking about. We will definitely go back when we need anything else.

My experience at Sam Ash was perfect. Always greeted with a friendly smile at the front entrance, eager to help me. I decided to have Alex, who is in the department that refurbish guitars and other musical instruments, because he obviously knows his craft. Alex is a good guy, not in any hurry and only willing to help you to your goals in rehabbing your musical instrument in my case a guitar.

Was in the store on Saturday 9, 2021 in Cherry Hill. My observations were a little shocking, I didn’t know if I was to be upset for the fact that in the drum and percussion area there was very little to look at or buy, incl. drum kits and accessories. At the same time I was wondering if the store had cleaned out their 2020 stock because there was so little in the drum area. Just going on what I saw I give the store a 2 but again I have questions!

Mike V. was extremely helpful and has a clear passion for music. He was very nice and extremely patient. He was also very knowledgeable and gave great suggestions about our keyboard purchase. Because of Mike V. I now consider Sam Ash Music Store in Cherry Hill my go-to music store.

Found Sam Ash when the Guitar Center next door didnt have what I was looking for- a quality digital piano in a console without too many bells and whistles. Went to buy a cymbal stand. The sales associate, Josh, from the drum department was very knowledgeable and professional. Was willing to work with me within my budget and didnt try to up-sell me. He was great to deal with and Sam Ash had good prices on a lot of things. Josh knows all about different types of gear, and I enjoyed talking about drummers and music with him. Ive been shopping at Sam Ash since 1990 or 91 and dont plan on going anywhere else.

Love this location! I recently came in with my acoustic guitar to find a hard case and was helped promptly. The gentleman at the guitar counter helped me go through cases to find the perfect fit. He made sure he knew what I was looking for, and not just the best sale. Checking out, he recognized my address from the military base and added a military discount without me even saying anything! I have been a loyal Sam Ash customer for over 20 years. They have a great selection of musical instruments and equipment, and I particularly love the music book and sheet music selection they carry. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, and they dont push customers to make a purchase. The person that helped said, Yea someone else came in looking for the same stick earlier in the week! and the told me good luck in trying to find something..! What is that? Always great customer service at this store. One time I went in looking for an AC adapter for my keyboard.. they had one in store that wasnt for sale.. so they gave it to me for free! Have been coming here for years and will continue to do so. They also do price matching if you find a cheaper price online/elsewhere!

Alex the guitar tech did an amazing job repairing my Gibson 335 ...The guitar is playing better than ever. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me. It was done very quickly. I will be using Sam Ash Cherry Hill for all of my guitar repairs.

I bought a used Fender guitar; it was very reasonably priced. I also bought the year maintenance plan - again very reasonably priced. They setup the guitar for me and it was a great job. I would definitely do business with them again.

Truly I will never visit another music store. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The store is clean and organized and they treated my instrument as well as they would treat their own. Which says A LOT about their character. Special shout outs to Tom and Rick whom I spoke with most whilst their as well as every other team member. They should be proud. Just stop by even if you aren’t looking they will help you and let you play. It only takes a few notes and you’re hooked.

I was told the guitar would be setup when I picked he guitar up.To my surprise it was still in the unopened box.A tech did a quick tune on it and that was it.Both people i spoke with in the store seemed more concerned that I purchased the guitar online than at the store.

The employees were extremely helpful over the phone when I first called for information and then in person when making my purchase. I have shopped there many times over the years and have always found it to be a pleasant experience. They are very knowledgeable and there is no high pressure sales pitch to buy more than you need or higher priced items that aren’t necessary. Great place if you are musical or have musical children.

The professionalism of these employees are outstanding. I have dealt with Jason and Corey in guitars for years and I love these guys. Bottomline is they want you to be happy. They know I am a picky musician and they are understanding and accommodating. It is this level of customer service that results in me being a long term customer.

The staff is amazing here at Sam Ash! Josh in particular was very helpful when I went in to buy an audio recorder. The people across the street at Guitar Center acted like I didnt exist! What a night and day difference. Sam Ash also comes with a great warranty for very cheap. I will definitely be back for all my audio needs!

Tried to buy a pedal off of them on reverb. They put up a used canyon and that same morning I bought it. They then, without messaging me or even apologizing for the inconvenience, refunded my purchase because they had sold it in store, supposedly before I bought it at 940 am. Very poor customer service. Would not recommend to buy from on reverb.

Dropped of my sons clarinet for tuning. Got a really good assessment and quick turn around within 3 days. Really good service and I highly recommend.

My 13 year old loves music and requests to spend 2 hours at this store. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He plays several instruments and they always help him make informed decisions before making a purchase. They let him try out the instruments and patiently answer all of his questions. As I have never played an instrument, I am extremely thankful for all of their advice.

Corey Schain the sales manager, really helped me out with a guitar problem I was having.I told him that my new acoustic Taylor was buzzing when I played it, but he discovered that it was the stomp boxes that I was using. He sold me a better power supply and the problem cleared up. Now the guitar sounds great.I really like dealing with Corey, he is always knowledgeable and helpful.

Excellent service. They made returning the broken Keyboard easy with no issues and provided me with a new one on the spot. They even carried it to my car for me. Very pleased.

Prices are competitive, and they seem to have everything i need. their inventory isnt as large as the guitar center up the street but they seem to have everything you would want. the guys who work there are always helpful. they answer questions, and explain the gear very well. this place is great

I was in cherry hill for business and decided to visit Sam Ash. Was pleasantly surprised to see that they rent guitars and amps. Figured hell yeah I can jam in the hotel room for a couple nights. Unfortunately no one knew how to do the transaction on the register so they suggested buying and returning which ended up costing few bucks more than renting(Reason for 4 vs 5) but overall the sales staff was cool and the experience was good. Definitely worth checking out.

Somebody had posted with my acct. But honestly after 2 trips back the first week I gave up...time to learn guitar wiring. I dont think they are bad...I could have gotten better quality for cheaper next door. The old tech fixed something the second day but chipped the vol. I dont think hes there anymore though.
