My trip today has just introduced the existence and enforcement of paying for plastic bags at checkout, 8 cents per bag wont break most peoples bank, but actually charging people for something like this is ludicrous. My long time as a Safeway club member came to a close with this most recent trip. There are plenty of other grocers in the area that provide bags without charge and I will gladly support them out of principle.

Very overpriced. Never any good sales. Convenient location but not worth it when other options for groceries are to close? Whats with people in Cheney not wearing mask indoors in the public. We get it hillbillies, its just a flu. To many disease vectors. I will not be back.

Bought a family meal (Chinese) for $22.00 and the food was dry, tasted like it sat all day. Noodles and rice really dry, hard. My 8 potstickers were thrown in a paper bag, was really about three potstickers all broken up in the bottom of the bag. What a waste of money!

Typical Safeway and normally a decent place to shop. Check the expiration dates on fresh items. A number of times, weve noticed only after getting home that the item expires the next day. Theres one older checker who can be quite grumpy. Dont remember her name, and I avoid her line. Shes often in the quick line.

Got the moderna shot today lets go America this is only gonna stop if were all vaccinated.

This place had a better selection of several items that I couldnt find in bigger cities like Spokane, or Coeur dAlene.People complain about the students working in stores being young and rude, that was not my experience at all. Super friendly and courteous staff.Will definitely be going back to re-supply for the hard to find items.

Make sure you always double check dates. They like to constantly put stuff on the shelf that is expired. Its been an issue for years at this store.I would avoiding the Chinese food from the deli also. Even when they put it out first thing in the morning, its dry and looks like its been sitting there all day.Other than that, the staff is always friendly and helpful.

Very great deals. You can get a lot for $100. Which is surprising since its one of the few chain stores in Cheney. They restock daily and have both assisted and self checkout counters. They also have convenient parking for both able and handicapped persons. Also their store hours are good and they have a wide selection of goods.

Either myself or a member of my household has shopped here weekly for over ten years. It is the best store in Cheney based off of produce freshness and cleanliness.However, there needs to be more cashier staff. This is not a new issue and still needs to be addressed. Recently, while waiting my place in line on the red squares, a person popped out in front of me. The person stated, Oh were you in line? It did not look like it. The person barged in front of me and I simply thought, ok not a big deal, this is a regular occurence here due to lack of staff. To my surprise, this line cutter loudly identified themselves as a current safeway staff member. Blabbering on about the night shift. I could identify this person based on their description but is not my goal to cause others strife. As passive-aggressive in nature as this post may be, it is not the first time off the clock employees have caused local shoppers issues and their ill behaviors should be addressed by management at this location.

Not a bad location. The aisles are pretty tight in some areas but beyond that a good selection, had nearly everything I needed.

Great !!!!! I got a free 41.00 dollar turkey and 200 dollars with of meat at half price. Spent 150. To get 300 worth of meat. Yip yip. Fast and kind employees.

I love that this store has great parking and often has good deals. However their produce section is pretty basic and several times I have purchased items that were expired prior to my purchase such as fresh mozzarella and packaged beets that I had to just throw away and weren’t even on sale. Most of the staff is awesome except this one guy who bags and collects carts who is not friendly but everyone else is great. Smaller store so they don’t have everything but they have the basics.

Love Safeways meat and produce depts. Produce a bit pricey but I am willing to pay it, its worth it for the selection and excellent quality they offer. I can almost always find meat in the manager discounted area and even then the quality of the meat is a step above their competitors.

Had good service, but bought sushi and it was so dry we couldnt even eat it.

I just needed to do some shopping and decided to go to Safeway. They were VERY well stocked. The store was and felt VERY clean. I told my husband I want to keep grocery shopping here. Great job Cheney Safeway, especially in this hard time.

We ordered 2 platters from the deli one wrap and one hoagie. Wrap was great hoagie was disappointing the bread was rock hard. I would have given zero stars.

Ive got to be honest, 23 yrs in Cheney with only one complaint. In our 1st year here the delis Chinese was horrible. Lets move on to 3 weeks ago, sweet cherries cost 1.97 a pound. Today they are 4.99 a pound. Corn on the cob was 2 for a buck, today you can get it for twice the price. And the meat department, does safeway know that ground round is scraps and left over or old stock. I remember when meat pre rancher select when you could afford it. Im thankful that I have friends that raise beef, I pay 2.75 a pound for ground round. I dont even look for steaks or other cuts. I love you guys lot of friends work there I just cant afford you anymore.

If not for this store I wouldnt be able to Survive living in Davenport. Very friendly staff here. Not zombies like every other place in town. Its a small store but they usually meet my needs. Prices are a bit higher here but if you have a free club card, you get good discounts.

Quick and easy access

Managers are rude and unprofessional. They dont even allow their employees to drink water in the CHECK STANDS! Ive also noticed during my time shopping there that it takes the managers forever to get to the check stands after being called for even for small tasks. I understand they may be busy but the customer should be a priority.

Store is mostly stocked most of the time, which is great. Everyone is super nice, except Shelly. She is rude, bossy, and unprofessional. If i have to continue shopping here, i will have to avoid her like the plague!

Well, I went in looking for lunch and got a truly wonderful turkey sandwich. Just what I wanted and got. The young lady, was helpful and charming, sadly she was married and I am ferclempt, I have the memory of that sandwich to keep me going....

This store is very well kept and usually has a sale going on for various items. The staff here are kind and perform their jobs well!This is a good place to get the essentials if you live in the area and dont want to make a trip into town.

No diversity. Barley any students/workers of color. Applied so many times and never could get a job here even with the experience. Very un organized.

Really enjoy most of the staff at this location. The produce selection is good. I like the sales most of the time as well. The bakery is great in my experience as well, again due to the staff working there. Even in the floral department nothing but pleasant people.

My son and I have lived in Cheney since 2015 and I have always had a good experience shopping here. Very friendly people and the bakery staff are always friendly. My son gets a cookie almost every time we are there.

In terms of customer service they could do better, there are never enough checkouts open, and I’ve had some of the employees make me uncomfortable with things they say. But there are some great employees too, and they always have what I need.

Good selection. They have some vegan and veggie options but they would be good to have more. They have a good produce section. Overall prices are more expensive than anywhere else in town but with a Safeway card you can almost break even.

They are well-stocked with good options for groceries. They dont have a self-checkout section, which frustrates me. Tonight I went and both of the only open lanes had six or more people waiting in line and the checkers werent in any hurry. I was just buying one item. Im not a fan of having to wait ten or so minutes for one item. Its not like this in California. Theres self-checkout for a reason, guys.

This was a really good place to go shopping for me and my family let me start off by telling you they had good parking for regular customers that are not handicapped and a very good spots for those who are disabled or handicapped they look like a wheelchair accessible to me the very friendly staff the do have restrooms just in case you need to got to go and they also have a pharmacy in there and a deli and bakery you going to like this Safeway

I absolutely love Safeway. It is my go to store, but not at this location. Many times I have had to ask if employees if they have items in the back, and they did. They do not keep their shelves stocked well. Lines are also super long most of the time I am there, making it difficult to walk to other isles. On the positive side, many employees are super kind. The meat department is extremely knowledgeable and helpful about cooking advice.

I can always find whatever food items I need at my local Safeway. My closest store is 2 minutes from where I live and the store is clean, well laid out and easy to shop. The staff at my store are helpful and they make my shopping experience very pleasant.

Not my usual store, I usually go to Yokes. Only got here because I was close and it was handy. Safeway is always just so-so. Clerks not that friendly, customers pushy, just not my scene!

J4u specials are awesome...weekly cheap chicken day and $5 Friday. Best deal on chips, pop, cheese, and weekly sales.

I have a love/hate relationship with this place to be sure! Mostly, it is a service issue... It can take FOREVER most of the time, doesnt matter the dept., but if you have the patience of a Saint, it is a nice store with decent prices and selection😇

They have higher prices then other stores. I often get overcharged for at least one product. Most of the time the customer servise is acceptable, but there have been times that have left me unsatisfactory.
