Its a shame we cant trust our own schools book store but they are a SCAM. You can rent your text books online for far less. Take it from me, wait until class starts and research the textbooks online for much reasonable prices. It sucks but havent we given Chattanooga State enough of our money.

The updated editions of textbooks are really just copies of the previous editions with the exact same information rearranged to make it impossible to follow along in a textbook from the previous semester. For $65 Id expect to be able to use the same book if I have to retake a course covering the exact same material.

Super helpful when I came in unsure of what to buy for my classes.The lady got my A # and typed it in for me because I could not get cell service on my phone. She pulled up my classes and the guy in the back got my books for me . I was very stressed about this term and they both helped with that !

If you can find your course materials anywhere else, dont shop at the bookstore. Wait until your class starts and make sure you buy the correct textbook. I bought the version of the abnormal psychology textbook that the bookstore told me I would need 3 weeks before my class started. They sold me an older edition with a code that wouldnt work. I called and emailed and was finally told I could get a refund if I mailed the book back, I did and months later Ive heard nothing back.

This book store is an embarrassment to the college campus. The customer service sucks and the staff is unhelpful and unwilling to satisfy the students needs. If you need any books find a different source and save your money and time.

I am only giving this place 2 stars because the people there are nice and try to be helpful. However when you need a book and they run out of said book they tend to blame the professors. Their price are outrageous on every little thing. If I can help it I will not shop in the campus bookstore again.

Average college bookstore that you should steer clear from, but not because of the employees. Every employee encounter I have had was pleasant. Their prices are what really blows. Always compare textbook prices between multiple sites. Amazon always has the best deals. This store wants $63 for a used textbook, while Amazon offers the same book BRAND NEW for $60. What is truly awful is when professors create their own custom textbooks or manuals that you have to purchase here.

The staff at the chatt state book store are exceptionally rude and they do not know what they are doing. I bought a book and had to return it 5 days later and they said I couldnt get a refund without a receipt which I was not given at the time that I purchased the book. Two employees started to argue with me about returning the book and were extremely rude. And the books are outrageously priced. What a ripoff!!

Worked for this place for maybe three months. They purposefully try to rip everyone off. Constantly overcharging for everything from binders, books, and especially apparel. No one wants to pay $50 for that chatt state shirt when new student orientation gives out merchandise for free. Also, all the managers have bad attitudes towards everyone, especially employees. They did not train me yet yelled at me when I was unsure of something and then yelled at me when I made a mistake because they made me too scared to ask them. Definitely not a place that represents Chatt States desire to see students succeed. Students are better off buying books on Amazon.

If I could give a zero star to the Bookstore I would. always having to purchase books that dont need prices sky high and wont take back books. spent $113 for a book that wasnt used not even out of shrink wrap and apparently wasnt given all the elements to the book and wont take back. Try to avoid at all costs getting anything from them.

This is an awful bookstore . Just for pricing. Go across the street to H and M bookstore. Seriously the pricing across the street is 10 times less.

This address leads nowhere. The Chattanooga State Bookstore is not at this address, the school is across the street, none of the campus maps show a bookstore, and no one answers the listed phone. Technical Community College?

Absolutely terrible. i tell everyone i meet if you can get your books from anywhere else do it!!!!! They over charge, never keep books in stock and they run a super shady business. Unless you have to get your books from the book store Id avoid this place with a passion!

How is it that a school that has programs and financial aid for working adults has a bookstore that is closed on the weekends?

Overpriced. I paid $200 for a loose leaf textbook and an access code.
