Wegmans bakery saved the day at a friend’s wedding. An incredibly kind and generous employee packed up several sheet cakes on an hour’s notice and delivered them himself to the venue after the bride and groom’s cake was destroyed. What a lovely human gesture. The cakes provided were delicious and enjoyed by all guests. Thanks Wegmans!!

A rather impressive grocery store with a lot of selection. Prices may seem high, but they have some specials, with or without the store card, that I have found very nice. Their deli/prepared food section is the largest I have seen. The market Café has ample seating. I have a monthly meeting with my staff here. Most of us purchase our lunch here, but a couple bring their lunch – and it is not a problem. Handicap friendly, and they keep it very clean, which I always appreciate.

Other than not always having the most friendly folks working there (the other Wegmans within an hour radius have much nicer staff), what can anyone say bad about a Wegmans. This store had a great station playing, I think I sang and danced the whole way through the store. Every store brand item Ive ever gotten is so good, I go out of my way to get their products!

Excellent , not just the freshness of Wegmans but their bakery and generic lines are uncompramisable.

Meats packaged well, varied produce of good quality. Overall cost comparable to whole foods. A lot of attention to cleanliness, and convenience...great wine selection

Interesting place to shop. I always enjoy their red, white and blue bread wish they did it year round. Lots of good foods throughout the store.

Big store with wide selection. Their brand is consistently good to very good with great prices. Other brands are priced reasonably, but never any big sales. Bakery, produce, meat, and deli are all fine but nothing special: better than Kroger and other discount grocery stores, not as good as Whole Foods, with prices in between.

Definitely the best super market in Charlottesville. I can never find what I need browsing, so Im super thankful for their app! it tells me the exact location, aisle and bin, of what I need. Maybe add a gps track to each item and were set!

My favorite grocery store in town. They have great produce, a great butcher and seafood section and a great selection of specialty items

This store used to be great but its gone down the drain. 50% of all meat and produce Ive purchased in the last month have either been already been expired, or went bad a few days after purchase. I come to Wegmans for the fresh food, but its not fresh anymore. Very disappointing.

I love the store its self and employees are great. Covid has caused some stocking issuesHowever The customers are my biggest issue , rude and inconsiderate. No manners and the store can get so busy that kind of behavior makes for a nerve wracking shopping experience. Cant help the customers the store has but its my biggest complaint.

Not bad, but not great! This Wegmans does not have as large of a selection of products as Wegmans in the D.C area. Also, it should have been built bi Level like the stores in Northern VA.

I love shopping at Wegmans. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is an abundance of quality and diverse food. The store is very clean and spacious. The Wegmans brand are less expensive and often superior to adjacent choices.

I visited here around noon this past Thursday.First, the selections are innumerable! From groceries to wines & greeting cards, you’ll find everything you need!Second, the staff are very friendly and helpful. I ask one where the gift cards were and they walked me right to them.Yes the prices might be more than Walmart but by shopping here, you’re getting a clean and friendly store with a great shopping experience.

I love Wegmans. No matter what Im looking for when making a new recipe, I can find it at Wegmans. Big variety and excellent quality of veggies and meat/seafood.

Superior grocery experience! Clean, big aisles, wonderful produce, bakery, deli, floral, etc. Liquor department is outta control superior! Wine, beer selection, especially local product, very extensive and top notch service in this area. Pharmacy could use more staff - always line-ups there. Prices seem good, though I dont honestly pay close attention, though the Wegmans coffee is definitely out of control inexpensive and very good quality!!! Best grocery store ever!

Excellent selection of products in the Asian department. The specialty mushrooms are great. There is a sign above the section that describes the various mushrooms. This store has fresh tortillas. Friendly staff and very helpful. The restrooms are very clean. Easy to find and plenty of parking.

This store is perfect. 2nd Wegmans on our trip. We dont have one thats close enough for us to go to as our regular store. Would love one near Poughkeepsie, NY.

Unfortunately this place has become too expensive for us to shop at. There are sometimes decent deals on deli meats and cheeses, dry goods, and a few other items. However, the majority of everything else is around 20-30% higher in price when compared to other grocery stores. The quality isn’t the best either, especially considering the price. There have been a few questionable occasions regarding sanitation as well. We noticed a dead lobster in the tank, several flies in the bakery areas, and flies also in the refrigerated prepared foods area.

So very thankful that Wegmans opened up in the south. Whatever you need they have.

I love shopping here. Selection is great and prices are competitive, much better than Kroger or Martins. I wish they would put one in Harrisonburg.

Tacos: fire. Yuca: fire. Chicken: beyond fire. Cemitas: unreal. The other half of my daughter’s quesadilla she didn’t finish: also fire. All of their salsas: unbelievable. This place is going to be heavy in the rotation.

Its like a grocery amusement park with free admission, food is still pricey like amusment parks though. But its all amazing and delish.

This is one of my favorite wegmans ❤ there are a lot of amazing people working hard here as well the mangers and teams are fantastic and the store layout is excellent as well everyone keep up the amazing work and stay safe.Food as well that you can get made or pre made are always up too date and always fresh as well. This might be little random but they got the coolest bathrooms too.

First time I visited a Wegmans, I am now a believer. Love their market section. Like a much bigger much nicer martins.

Had all the foods we needed to purchase plus The Pub which was an internal restaurant that had a good burger, fries, and a Reuben sandwich. It is crazy how much stuff this place has. Their hot bar, subs, and ready made sandwiches were very tempting.

Great prep to cook items. Everything is expensive. Over priced bc they marinade or seasoning on meats and seafood. For a great cook out on the grill for a night is DELICIOUS! Quality is great. Cheeses are delicious too. Otherwise for my own homemade seasoning and meat is n my cabinet already plus sides. Mich cheaper if u run to foodlion n make it on ur own. Grilling is the best. It all depends

The strip steaks are to die for and not too extremely expensive...fresh veggies and the. marinated mushrooms roasted garlic and artichoke salad...yummmy...oh yeah and the meat guys are very knowledgeable and helpful in choosing the right cut of meat for the dish u wanna prepare.

Excellent drive up service. Its very quick. Pharmacy staff are professional and friendly. I LOVE getting my prescriptions at Wegmans. Really appreciate that phone is ALWAYS answered quickly in the Pick up lanes never on hold!

Great grocery store. The meat, cheese, seafood, and prepared meals selections are great. They have a Greek bar in the grocery part of the store. The market cafe has a chicken wings bar, pizza, sushi, sandwiches, and cold bar sides such as asparagus and brussel sprouts salad. There is an organic cold bar as well. The market cafe also has two Coca-Cola freestyle machines. The two employees I asked for help were very helpful and polite. Definitely on the more pricier side for a grocery store. There is a restaurant and bar inside but it was not open at the time.

Fantastic produce selection, and the artisanal cheese. Ive had some really excellent cheese trays made for me on the fly by one worker, Jenn who can just put together something amazing, anytime!

I have experienced a significant recent decline in the quality and quantity of the merchandise at Wegmans in recent months during our weekly shopping trips. Many of the shelves are entirely empty of items. The produce is either not available or so wilted and old as to be inedible. Last week they had no potatoes except a small number of old and shriveled red potatoes. I dont know if they have a supply chain problem or too few staff to keep the shelves stocked but it has been very disappointing.

Their private label Russet potatoes are well hidden in colored plastic and rightfully so....Mostly rotten and butchered by the tractor tillers. They must buy rejects! Their prices compared to Harris Teeter and Kroger are 27% higher. Not worth it plus getting around is a joke.

Wegmans is amazing, and all the people should shop here. You can get bread and peanut butter and ramen at poor college student prices, and also things like legit truffles for when you are trying to seriously impress someone with how fancy and sophisticated your are.

My fav store but one complaint. The apples in their baked apple pies are undercooked IMO.

This Wegmans is not nearly as nice as the store in Gainesville or Leesburg! Way less selection here and they dont even have an upstairs marketplace. At least Charlottesville has a Wegmans but they could have done a way better job planning this store.

Wegmans is a fantastic grocery store. It has any fresh fruit or veggie you could want, plus a great meat selection and bakery, and any other essential items you may need. The employees are helpful and the prices are great. They also have a good beer selection and a very good wine selection. Wegmans is definitely my go-to store for almost anything I need.

The Variety of the food was good. But the Staff running the pub was very Rude and we didnt receive any service! Which made for the whole Experience bitter. Sadly we had issues before and wanted to give it a 2nd chance celebrating memorial weekend. What a complete waste of time.

Horrible customer service in the butcher department. I was trying to buy steaks and no one was around. I waited somewhat patiently for several minutes but no one offered to help me. This is even though there were several employees- one I think is even a store manager - chatting behind me. Not one offered to help me find someone that could assist me. If the store manager does not care about customer service, then why should his employees?

My experience was great. They had the Turkey Hill ice cream flavor I was looking for. I bought 5 of them.

Super nice store, very clean and the one thing that stood out was out of 25 check out registers 14 were open with actual people. You will never see that at Walmart.

My experience with Wegmans was awesome, they were able to get everything done in a very timely manner and the customer service was topnotch!

Tried to purchase two freshly cut porterhouse steaks from butcher and was told that he had other things to do and could not serve me right now. Per manager, he meant that it takes a long time to set up to cut porterhouses but that is not what he said. He said he had other things to do first and that it would take qquite a while for him to get to it. The manager that I talked just made excuses for him and did not really help at all. He tried to sell me some that were cut on Wednesday and I tried to explain that I wanted fresh because I was not making until Sunday. Why do they have a butcher department if they cannot help a customer when needed? Basically this store is very close to losing all of my business. If you want quality freshly cut meats, I highly recommend going to one of the many burgers in town. They actually value customers. This store does not.

I LOVE WEGMANS. They have EVERYTHING. Party food, everyday foods, HUGE selection of GF!!! Check the bakery, not just the amazing GF aisle. Plant based food all over. Flowers, a cafe, sushi, makeup, gifts, cards, Im TELLING you EVERYTHING. Even UVA merch. GO THERE.

Excellent with nice workers. However, did have a lady at checkout that was rude. I know & do wear mask & have had the vaccine shots. I also have asthma & mask can be a problem. I unpacked cart & did pull the mask back from nose to take a breath & rudely she said to put mask on . Took one second. I did state I needed to breath some air because of ashma. I did & when I left she muttered, take a deep breath...not nicely. I have never had this problem with others & most understood.

Wegmans has a large variety of freshly made food items. Their wine shop prices rival Costco prices. Staff there are helpful and friendly.

Wegmans is its own special wonderland. Being a newcomer to this family owned chain is a delight and adventure. Seriously. I avoided the first two weeks when the store opened, correctly figuring that Id be overwhelmed with anything more than the store and employees in their own. Finally, around 10:00 pm one eve, I needed some groceries and Wegmans is open from 6:00 am to midnight every day! (thank you!)I walked out of the store just before midnight, with bags full of delights and a complete sense of bewilderment and joy. Mind you, when I get home, I realize I completely missed the produce section and about half of the isles that first trip.They do have store maps. And Im not usually one to download specific store apps to my phone, but this one is a MUST. You can create shopping lists and it will let you know if the product is currently available in inventory, along with where it is in the store. Which is awesome. You can also add notes on items and access your purchase details to remember the things you might want to buy again, or not (that didnt seem totally likely but theres always something). You also get digital coupons on the app that automatically apply to your checkout when you scan your card which is nice. Plus they send you ones through postal mail if you wish and you get a free full size bottle of their garlic and herb basting oil which is really good!I have been back two other evenings so far and the produce section is great, and Im still working my way through all the isles. 65,000 products is a lot to process. I do need to make a point of going when the hot food bars are open though. Every bit of prepared food Ive tried has been delicious.Ive been in Charlottesville for a long time and typically my grocery trips involve driving over to 29 to make the rounds at Costco, Trader Joes, Kroger, and Whole Foods. Having lived on the east side of town, Food Lion and giant have been the only options and neither has ever done much in the East of standing out. There are all definitely a few items from each of those respective stores I will continue to get, but between the selection, the quality the prices, and the location... I dont think you can beat Wegmans. The cheeses, the wines, the meat department, the dessert case... Everything really. Omgoodness!Its truly a wonderful shopping experience.

Nice store but its little bit on expensive side. The manager on duty let me park there because I drive a truck. Most stores will not let a truck driver the park shop anymore.

Prices were already high. They caved to the government and no more food bar. Lots of empty picked over fruit and vegetables. Pastry area not stocked. We drive an hour. Return? No.

This is the first time Ive ever been in a Wegmans and it was a great experience. They have a great meat, cheese and charcuterie counters. I wish there was on closer to me so that I could always shop there!

Very nice grocery store with a variety of basically everything, the produce section is massive, theres to-go meals, a bakery that boasts of a huge selection of cakes, pastries, breads like the Tuscan, the Rosemary and Olive oil. The Market Cafe has a Sub section if you get hungry. The only downside to this is the location on 5th street station which used to be a great place to shop and eat, but has now become so crowded that weve stopped going unless we absolutely need to.

I love Wegmans! Great customer service! Great selections of items, and competitive prices. I appreciate how they are on top of their game in making sure customers stay safe during COVID. Also, the Pharmacy is fantastic! Thanks Wegmans!

Best grocery store in Charlottesville for everyday good prices and great selection. Its clean, fresh, and bright. The private label Wegmans brand items are usually high-quality.

Love that all the Wegmans I have been too have sort of an different take to their locations which I find interesting. Was on the way back from an road trip out west and since we had stopped at Carter Mountain then wanted lunch so found thie spot up the street. Situated in an nice shopping center too.

DO NOT COME FOR SPECIAL REQUESTS BIRTHDAY, WEDDING, BABY SHOWER, ETC.Unable to complete small simple tasks as asked, color scheme was given and without calling nor asking she took the liberty of making her own choices on an 4 cakes.Let’s mention the way I asked for them to be done was nothing like the way their were done and when asked if I could only purchase the one cake she did with the right color scheme she told me since it was a special order she couldn’t fix the icing before 24 hour notice, I came 4 hours before the party and told her their would be plenty of time but w the unpleasant attitude she addressed me that it just could not be done.So sad and just disappointed. I believe the name of the woman was, Mackenzie.
