Big portion sizes! They have some sandwich guys and a barista, and service is quick. They even have some refrigerated sandwiches if you’re in a rush. While they do have a few tables outside, folks typically order takeout. Great for lunch or brunch.

Not too many places open on a Sat morning for brkfst in Cville. Glad I found Ivy. Several items on their menu. I was heading to the mts to hike so I was seeking some fortifying sustenance. The En Fuengo was recommended. It was like a skillet full of potatoes, eggs, green chili cherizo, pepper jack cheese rolled tightly inside a crisp, whole wheat tortilla. The chorizo gave every bite a nice heat. So excellent! And as I hoped, the meal actually lasted me the ENTIRE day!

For around 5 years now Ive been lucky enough to live within a few miles of Ivy Provisions. A creature of habit, many Sunday mornings began with a trip there to pick up 3 or 4 En Fuego Wraps for roommates and myself. To this day I havent had a better breakfast burrito anywhere, let alone in Charlottesville. Unfortunately, I dont think I can bring myself to go back anytime soon.Understandably, they have always been incredibly busy on the weekends, especially if students are in town. Never unreasonable, but you needed to be prepared for a decent wait if you were ordering anytime near peak hours. After a lengthy closing due to covid, they re-opened with only the option to order online or over the phone and pick-up only. They were often short staffed and wait times became outrageous, but all was forgiven because that was the state of just about every restaurant. Fast forward a year later, the patio and indoor dining is open, they have added a pick-up window outside, and appear to be fully staffed, often with 2 cashiers, a barista, and a full kitchen staff. However, still, every time I place an order, Im given an estimated pick-up time of around 25-30 minutes. That would be perfectly fine by me, if it were ever remotely accurate. Today my order was supposed to be prepared by 11:32 am (25 minutes from when the order was placed online). At around 11:35 there was a small crowd gathered around the pick-up window and I asked a fellow customer how far behind they seemed to be running. One woman spoke up and said mine is about 9 minutes behind right now. I went back to my car and waited. 11:40 I approached the window and asked if my order was ready, a young woman who was sending out orders said she would check. She never came back. Another woman came to the window at 11:47 and told me that my order was the next ticket up in the kitchen and that my drinks were being made, so my order would be ready shortly. Another 7 minutes go by, 3 more orders go out, and a 3rd woman comes to the window to tell me that she will check on my order. She brings me my drinks and tells me that the kitchen is still working on my food. Finally, around noon, and about an hour after ordering 2 burritos, my food comes out and is missing the hot sauce I requested on the ticket. Not the end of the world, but frustrating nonetheless after an absorbenant wait and less than great service. Thank God the burritos were still near perfection. If you arent that hungry, and have a long time to wait, the En Fuego burrito is life changing (the rest of their menu is great too). If you think youre looking for a quick place to grab breakfast, keep dreaming. Ill inevitably go back, but I hope I remember to to wait a half an hour or more before I leave my house.

Terrible experience today. Ordered online, email confirmation said 30min wait. Attempted to pick up after 45mins, and was told that we still had 8 orders in front of us, and that bc we ordered online the time wasnt accurate.. ended up waiting another 30mins! Then, rather than being called up as usual, we had to ask again about the order... About 1hr and 15min for 2 sandwiches!! Thats nuts. And when we got them, they were cold.. Meanwhile there was mass chaos with all the other people waiting too. The poor girl at the window was very nice, but her inneffcient and POORLY MANAGED coworkers threw her under the bus today. This was a $40 train wreck for cold sandwiches, and Ill definitely second guess going there again.. the market is just down the road, for sandwiches half the price, and a quarter of the wait even on their worst days. 👎👎

Probably avoid ordering a dip for your sandwich as the default practice is to drown it in sauce. I wish I knew what the food tasted like but it was hard to locate in the veritable sea of mayo-based goo. Would probably be super fun to eat in a car. Bread was deep fried in butter or something, this was not expected at all. Ordered a turkey sandwich but got the porcine king of super grease meals. The memory is nauseating. Do not recommend.

Best sandwiches in cville. Slightly more expensive than some others, but also very big, and very worth it. Lots of options for drinks inside, Traeger Bros coffee on site. This variation on a chicken club had very good flavor, complimented with green goddess dressing. Very generous portion of meat in the sandwich.COVID accommodations made for online/phone/window orders and outdoor seating.Price is about $10-$15 for one person to have lunch.

Outstanding lunchtime sandwiches. Really fresh, large and delicious; have had the Reuben and Roast Beef so far, and will be back to try others. The place is very small, and I would not have known of its existence without a local suggesting that we drive there to have lunch together.Crazy small parking lot with more lunchtime customers than it can handle. Last time I visited, we circled twice and were considering going elsewhere, when we got lucky and somebody decided to leave.Small inside too. Order at the deli counter and get a ticket. Walk over to the drink coolers and grab a drink. Walk over to the cashier and pay for your food... remember to write down your number as the cashier takes you ticket! Listen for your number to be called by the deli counter. While doing all the above, I recommend that you keep a hawkish lookout for one of the few tables to open, if you want to eat there, and jump on it the second it does. Others will be doing the same.Once your number is called, go to the deli counter and get the great items that you ordered. As I said at the onset, their product is outstanding.

We were regulars here for quite awhile. Things slowly went off the rails around last summer and I think we have given up. Someone was rude when I asked them to make me a salad one day which was very odd because they had been doing that for me for months. Then the food started to always be different. Chorizo one day tasted like Italian sausage...one day no potatoes or burnt etc. We keep trying again and its always something. Last time was the last I think. We ordered Fuegos a few weeks ago and I brought this home and my husband couldnt eat it because it was really burnt on the inside....we love the food when its good but sadly it hasnt been lately...

With all due respect,The wait at this place is too long for a sandwich that can be done in less than 3 minutes. I understand that there are multiple orders to take care of but with 3 people in the kitchen, it should not take 25 minutes to get a cold sandwich. I prefer hot sandwiches so I was also a little disappointed that the chicken in the Winner Winner I got was cold.

I walked in looking for a new lunch place, but I left extremely disappointed. I placed my order and waited for what seemed like an eternity. I watched a several items placed out but not picked up wondering if one might be mine, but didnt worry too much because they were calling out order numbers, and items were eventually picked up by their customers. About 20 minutes passed while I watched other orders go out, one after the other while I listened intently for my number to be called. I started to notice order numbers higher than mine going out. When they finally called mine it was an item had been sitting for about 15 minutes - they never called it! This wasted most of my lunch break. I expressed how I felt and that I didnt have time to eat it now, but the woman I spoke with just shrugged at me without saying anything. I will not be returning, which is a shame because when I later ate my breakfast sandwich, it wasnt bad. Would have been excellent if it were still hot.
