Today we visited Caspari in Charlottesville for the first time. The store had a lot of beautiful home decor merchandise and other quality items. It’s located in the popular downtown mall, and a lot of people were at this store today. There was a large table with stacks of holiday cards in boxes, and I found some beautiful cards with a red cardinal on them. Since our company logo also has a red cardinal, I bought three boxes!

It’s a beautiful store!I have not been able to make many visits due to physical inabilities, however, the times that I have been into the store I, too, have witnessed and experienced that “chilling, cold shoulder” that doesn’t help the business in any way, shape or form.The “thing” is, those people are only “wannabes” and they work in almost all stores.One day I was fortunate enough to be assisted by a person who actually had an interest in the store. It was a totally different experience.So, please remember that and browse. If it bothers you too much write the owners of the store, not once, but as many times as you like!Go in and enjoy all the beautiful wares. Don’t let any one deny you that. You may find a great gift for a special friend, the perfect paper-ware for an upcoming event, a piece of jewelry, a beautiful accessory or something you’ve been trying to find for years!If I sound like an ad for Caspari, trust that’s not true. I’ve just learned a few things over my years. 🙂

We stopped by Caspari and I would agree with the other reviews concerning the staff’s snobby attitude if you aren’t dressed to their standards. The store itself is comparable to Hallmark with some added variety and much higher prices.My family loved the selections at Roxie Daisy, Darling Boutique, and Ten Thousand Villages and all were incredibly warm, cozy, and friendly.

The cashier was rude to me because my husband didnt have on his mask (he exited the store). I was so nice to her but apparently his choice caused me to receive awful service. Would not recommend this store for ANY reason.

Gorgeous store. The art director for Caspari must be a genius. Caspari has been around for years for quality goods. Every other gift store carries part of their line. Just glad this brick-and-mortar is relatively close--what a luxury! If you are looking for cheap junk try Big Lots, people.

I have a negative review regarding this establishment. And, as much as I am not a fan, I have to use the race card.My family and I speak spanish everywhere we go, so we may get glancing looks in some places. Unfortunately, my wife, my sister and nieces were being closely monitored. And the staff exchanged glances and made gestures that translate to keep an eye out for these.Yes, this is the South. But considering that this is a college town, I would expect somewhat more of an open mind.I could go on and on. I wont let their gesture towards my kin ruin my experience in this nice city. But know that you will not be getting a penny from me.

I enjoy Caspari products and this store is just lovely, have shopped there many times. I would like to point out one little item that I think needs work, though. I walked into the store a few months ago pulling a rolling tote bag in which I carry my ice skates from Main St. Arena. I stopped in the middle of the Caspari store to put something in the tote bag so Id be hands-free to shop for some party supplies. One associate stepped over and sized me up with a very obvious presumption that I was about to shoplift or perhaps had already put something in my tote. Ill be sure to wear my patio caftan and Jack Rogers sandals next time I shop, to avoid the appearance of impropriety.

I dont know how they landed in C-ville but they did. Over the top decor shop. Fun for finding shiny trinkets.

I enjoy browsing this store. They sell some great products for the home and gifts. It is the only place that I have managed to buy christmas crackers this side of the pond and I have bought many pretty kids books from them. However, the staff are completely awful, stuck up, middle aged women who eye you up suspiciously, especially if you are not wearing Armani or a Gaultier tie when you enter the store. One women made a rude comment to my wife for having a small side purse open when we were checking out. She had it stuffed with shopping so couldnt close it properly but I couldnt believe the womans brass neck for basically implying that she was doing that to steal.One time I walked by in the evening at 5.55pm just 5 mins before they closed and was just pausing to check their opening times. The lady on shift that day obviously saw me outside and deemed me unworthy to enter the store so decided to make moves to lock the door so scum like me couldnt touch the precious things. Trust me darling, I dont want to see or steal your hideous giant wooden or leather rhinocerous. Good luck selling those!

Beautiful store with lots of personal gifts and gifts for other people in great decorations to be bought

Beautiful paper products- napkins, place cards, etc.

This place is rediculiously overpriced for the quality of what they sell. The only thing thats worth going here for is playing guess the price.
