Good coffee but frustrating hours. Listed as open at 7 but frequently isn’t staffed until much later around 8-9… Sat outside for thirty minutes and had several people drive by also disappointed. Unfortunately not the first time and I’m not even that frequent of a visitor.

Its a coffee shop. Not too fancy and not too expensive. And it does coffee good. Not much else to say. They keep it simple and they do what they do well.

Great little gem tucked back down the alley. The latte was phenomenal. Great coffee flavor and notes qhile being lite and airy with the milk. Would definitely come back!

Nice ambience and a great place to get work done.

A little gem of a coffee shop thanks to the wonderful people who work there. Its a peaceful spot on the end of the road with a nice shaded awning running the length of the building. There are two nice decks, a quiet space upstairs. This summer a vegetable garden took shape, adding to the serenity of the place. An added bonus is the CSX trains that pass by a few times a day and Amtrak heading out to West Virginia.

Local coffee outfit that sources some very aromatic beans. I picked it over the Starbucks just down the street. It seems like a nice place to meet up.

Hands down one of the best coffee houses in the city. The hip university town atmosphere along with some great beverages make this place a daily stop for me after classes. Their music selection is perfect. Oh and be sure to check if theyre having any music event/open mics in the evening. Also, its a little chilly outside, their hot chocolate would be the perfect thing for the moment.

If you are a local or just visiting-- Grit has the best coffee in town. They roast their own beans and put a lot of care into their drinks and food.

Awesome coffee, friendly baristas and a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Been going here for close to a decade and have never had a bad experience. Great place to study, but get there super early during midterms/exams and dont give up your seat if you get one!

Decent coffee, but horrible service. Got my order completely wrong (literally every single thing I ordered was made incorrectly) last time I went in there. Also, DO NOT GET THEIR SMOOTHIES; they are more syrupy than those you get at fast food restaurants...

Good coffee and iced tea, seating inside and outside. Theres usually an available table even during peak hours.

I love Para. It was one of my favorite places to study and to meet people when I went to UVA. The coffee is amazing and reasonably priced. The white russian and the honey bear were my favorites. Overall, its a cute small business that plays fantastic music and is a great study location.

Super coffee and I really love the Jasmine tea here. Its a cute spot to hang out or do homework.

Liked the ambience and friendly staff. Ordered a cappuccino and it was so different than any other Cappucino I had in town.

This coffee shop is a nice alternative to Starbucks. The staff is quite friendly and there is ample seating both upstairs and outside.

A wonderful little coffee bar with a nice atmosphere and kind servers. Its not the best coffee in Charlottesville but the drinks are still really good and the location is very convenient for UVA students.

Main St. location: Their small plate of black bean hummus is literally just a teacup of warmed black beans. I received warmed black beans and a handful of tortilla chips for $6.00.

Coffee is good, but their space is cramped, always feels crowded in there.
