We need to support real stores. This store had been here since I was a child. Its nice to count on and know a business for so long. Actually use to work here in high school years ago. Great service. Really good deals.

JC Penny has truly surprised me in the last couple of years. Great prices on the latest trends. Always a sale going on. Staff is friendly but sometimes hard to find in the store.

A lot of necessary changes have been made to ensure safety during this pandemic, and even though there was a bit of a wait in the cash register the employees were still working hard and had a great attitude.

Experienced staff, and great rates for haircuts etc. Recently had a 3.5 hr session with hair stylist Anna, who transformed my Asian jet black hair to lovely mocha/gold highlights! She was extremely professional and thorough, explaining and discussing the whole process, and letting me see the results after each step, I was so nervous as it was the first time I tried anything so different... Highly recommend Annas services!(With shampoo, foil, toner, trimming and styling it was $155 + 50 more for some great hair products)

It was good but I can not believe that every store I buy my pants from only had one pair my size and they said that it was one of the most popular sizes and they were on sale and they were about 12 dollars more than any place else and they said that they would order them for me when the other stores said that I would have to wait until they got them in again and for three months I waited and only one pair came in my size and I will be getting them from Jc Penney because I can pay for them there and they will ship them to me problem solved

Sales floor looks nice.Good clothes selection.Associates in Mens department speak limited English.Nobody offered to help me during the hour I was there on a weekday evening.The fitting rooms are in a sad state of disrepair.There is no seating in the fitting rooms.Associates dont know where items are.Associates dont know what is/isnt on sale.The lady working the register was kind but painfully slow. The fact that there was a line of people didnt seem to matter.Overall: James Cash Penney would be embarrassed at the state of affairs here.

An employee in the makeup department was very rude today. She had no other customers waiting, but insisted on sending my friend away because she had a coupon for free products from a manufacturer. The woman rolled her eyes and spoke condescendingly that she had REAL CUSTOMERS , though she clearly had no one else to serve. She kept telling my friend to make an appointment for later, for no apparent reason. Only after she called her supervisor did she become friendly and helpful. What a stressful shopping trip!

Id give the overpriced CHAIN with rude customer service if you get any service at all with five stars... Minus five that is! If only Google offered NEGATIVE star ratings... With that said, however, the store in Cville was the way I remembered and use to shop Penney. Theyre still overpriced so even though they offer decent service they at best garner a 3 star... and with some of the prices it maybe should only be a 2.

Over priced store with a staff that acts as if they are too good to help anyone. Shopped in here for 45 minutes and never could get anyone to help locate something. Terrible staff issues and poorly laid out store. very crowded and not wheelchair accessible between clothing aisles.

Found some some clothes that fit and were what I was looking for and at a reasonable price then got a further discount at checkout. Really good service from Gail at the jewelry counter and I appreciate that I didnt have to stand in line at the regular checkout. Also it was very easy to return an Internet order that didnt fit to customer service. So glad Penneys is near me.

I would like to give associate *Jean* a huge shout out! I checked out with Her about a week ago and it was the best check out Ive ever experienced. She had Me laughing from the beggining to the end of the process. I bought a really nice coat and some other things, She wanted to be sure I got all the discounts I could for My purchases. She went above and beyond to find scissors to cut My tags off, so I could wear My nice coat right away. She was soooo awesome! Might I add.. there were 4 Customers in front of Me and She treated everyone just the same and Her personality made it worth the wait to check out with Her! Hard to find help understaffed. Staff not friendly. Prices are marked up before discounts. Poor selection of men clothing. Store is disorganized over crowded with little room to move about. Store is dated and a little on the dinge side. Not good place if your in a wheelchair to get around except main isle. Awesome experience a gentleman named Jaxson was very helpful and curtious asked if I was interested in makeup or facial care we chatted and he explained makeup wasnt what ages a woman as I was thinking but the sun helps the aging process as I do not wear makeup or products I gained an education and many compliments on my skin and how young I looked compared to my actual age. I enjoyed his unique look and style as well as his service skills making a lady feel youthful that was old enough to be his mom. Enjoyable shopping experience thanks to him and I hate mall shopping normally. Again thanks Jaxson for making my mothers day special!

Though they were incredibly busy for a private shopping event for UVA students, the staff of JC Penney were nothing but helpful, kind, and welcoming. Though this store could use a few more staff members, that is more on corporate than this location itself. Everyone was super helpful even going do far as to give customers their measurements. They all deserve a bonus and a day off to rest!

This store oddly closes an hour before the rest of the stores in the mall. I was looking at makeup (not located in saphora) when I asked a lady at a center counter near jewelry and makeup about it she said to talk to saphora, its their product. I spoke with saphora still 5 minutes til JC decides to close and this representative says its also not their product (GoT makeup) so I went to look at saphoras eye shadow instead when the representative stopped me by telling me their closing so she wont be of assistance.

Long lines, non English speaking and technologically challenged cashiers result in frustratingly long lines. Charlottesville and Lynchburg stores are both terrible at effeicient check outs. $10 off your $10 purchase is a joke, Very few items in the store qualify for this coupon. This is the most disgusting store in Charlottesville. The dressing rooms smell like pee, not just on one shopping experience but several over a 3 month period. The dressing room carpet is sticky and smells. There are stains on the carpeted areas that display clothing. Two dressing rooms are closed so your choice is children’s or women’s, both are filthy!

I will never shop at JC Penny again. This was the worst experience of my life today. First of all you all were having all of these specials and a new line of cosmetics shop opening up and you didnt have even remotely enough staff today. WHAT WERE YOU THINKING. Everybody was so mad that was in line with me and believe you are going to hear the complaints. I have shopped at JCPenny for years but I will never shop there again. You had one guy that seemed like he was in training, are you kidding me, seriously???? I will be cancelling my JC Penny card and when I do, I do not want to be notified of any more sales.

One goes on break while the other vanishes after seemingly not knowing the difference between rolls of quarters and rolls of nickels. I always have to order online because they dont carry TALL sizes in the store and I end up having to return a lot. Then there is always a huge line because only one register can deal with online orders. It used to be all registers. Plus the staff is generally rude or very short tempered.
