It took a while to get my generator because they had to be made. But it was worth the wait. Brad It was really nice and Professional he was honest.and he did a wonderful job. The guys with him were always working no one was playing. When the job was finished he showed how the generator worked and if anything happened I am supposed to call them and let them fix it thanks Brad you are an amazing electrician the guys were good thanks guys.

I typically don’t write reviews, but you have to give credit when credit is due….I had ordered my generator from NEVER DARK WHOLE HOUSE Generators after going on through several reviews and also looking at other companies. Well am glad I went with this company who provided me with exceptional service. Their office staff was awesome and very professional. They really accommodated my needs and Kris, T.J and Gabe did a phenomenal job. The fact that all this company does is generators was very evident because they definitely know what they are doing. Price wise, I was extremely happy. No additional costs from what I was quoted. I wanted a house generator and these guys made the whole process seemless taking care of everything including the permits and inspections.

Our family had a wonderful experience with Never Dark Whole House Generators LLC from start to finish. The sale representative was very knowledgeable and listened to our requirements and provided us with the options that would meet our needs. The price quoted remained the same even with the demand on generators and the most recent pandemic. The Office staff provided updates on the availability of the generator and when it would arrive. The install crew of TJ and Kris were true professionals and know their craft. They worked in a timely manner and were very methodical in the placement our generator, the re-wiring of our electrical box, and the running of the gas lines. Once installed, TJ walked us through the upkeep and preventive maintenance checks that we would need to do between services. I would recommend Never Dark if you are looking to have a whole house generator installed.

Our experience with Neverdark was awesome. The initial discussion was clear and answered all our questions. Other than a long lead time on the generator itself (which was outside the control of Neverdark) everything was quick and easy. They did great work, took good care of our house, and took the time to explain everything to both of us. Our house had had a manual generator panel installed before we bought it, and that work was not high quality. As part of the contract price, Neverdark repaired our panel, leaving it in better shape than when they showed up.Our biggest regret is that Neverdark only does generators. Wed love to use them again, but only need one generator.

The lead time for installation was well worth the wait. The office scheduled me in way before that lead time and the three person crew had the complete installation done in less than a day. The technicians were friendly, knowledgeable and walked me through the setup and small maintenance needed when all was in.

Took a little longer than we thought to get things going, but we were pleased with the end result. Staff was always pleasant to work with and very knowledgeable. Original installation plan didnt work the way we thought (not enough room near panel box), but they worked with us and got everything set up with only a little additional expense. It is so comforting to know my mother-in-law will never be without power.

We have been so impressed with Never Dark from the very beginning of contacting them until their final work. Their price for the whole house generator was between $500 and $1000 less than other companies contacted. The prices given were all inclusive with no hidden costs. The office staff was always professional and courteous on the phone never rushed or pushy. The installment crew did a great job and were very neat cleaning up as they went along. Obviously they have done this many times before and were very knowledgeable. The crew walked us through the whole process so that we know what to expect. Their knowledge was thorough and they share in ways that made it easy to understand. They were there for us even waiting for the inspections and knew exactly what the inspectors needed. Good Communication and ServiceI was very satisfied with the purchasing and installation experience with NeverDark in Charlottesville. Brad was thorough in explaining options, costs, etc. Installation was well done, and the generator is working without a hitch.

Never Dark was referred to us by our neighbor who has been pleased with their service. We too were very pleased with the service and generator that Never Dark provided us. They were detailed about the types of generators, their features, what they could and couldn’t do regarding the install, and the pricing was exactly what they estimated. The installation looks better than what was originally outlined as they worked with us to have as less an impact on the area and the part of the house it was installed on. Never Dark coordinated all permits and county inspections so I didn’t have to do anything. The 4-5 person installation crew was professional and spent two days installing the generator, gas lines, electrical, etc. and it was up and running the second day. I did not know how complicated this process was. Once completed, they walked through everything we needed to know about how generator operates, what to check, how to test it cuts over and left quick reference and detailed material. Later that evening after they completed the job, I smelled gas and called Never Dark and they came out immediately and troubleshooted the problem and it turned out the issue was with the Columbia Gas meter and nothing Never Dark did. They stayed until Columbia Gas came and fixed the problem and then Never Dark double checked their equipment to ensure everything still worked properly. I have already started recommending them to my friends.

First comment: if you want a whole house back up generator system the people at Never Dark should be your first and only choice. You can, as I did, look to another source, but you will find no better vendor than these people. The staff knows their product: from the salesman , technicians, electricians, office staff, everyone is trained to answer your concerns. The technical staff: they came in and professionally completed the whole installation with a minimal amount of disruption to my household. They handled all the details from permits through electrical installation, propane hookup, and generator placement with the utmost concern for what was best for me. Neat. Pleasant.Never Dark sells the Briggs and Stratton system. Even though its a 20KW generator, thats not enough to do the whole house if everything is running. So they include something called load sharing. Non-essential loads are added in a priority I chose in a transparent manner through communication with the generator, This keeps the generators output constant without strain. As an engineer, I was impressed with the technology.Staff professionalism starts with management. This team works together like a family. They have it all right.

Installation Great - Service???? Had a whole house 48K generator installed 2 years ago. Great service and price. Purchased the 2 year service agreement which is supposed to be a visit every 6 months - first one being 6 months after installation. First 3 were OK. Was supposed to have my last one in March 2018. I also wanted to renew the contract. I have called twice about the service and was told they were behind. Now almost May. Generator has not done test run the past few weeks and says it is low on antifreeze, so guess it would not work if needed. Answering service does not work correctly, tried after hours number and had to leave a message. Only 1 email to use. They dont work at all on weekends. What good is the $25,000 generator if they dont service it?

Very happy with installation and look of the generator. Everyone was very polite and explained what they were doing every step of the way. Very communicative and kept everything on schedule. All staff were knowledgeable and extremely helpful throughout the entire process.

The Never Dark crew came in today to replace our generator with a whole house generator. We have had excellent service with Never Dark with our first generator and the installation today was amazing. All the contacts with the Central Virginia Electric and with Nelson County were handled by Never Dark. Everyone showed up when expected! We did not have to lift a finger.The team accomplished the task in a day in spite of the rain (they had a tent to cover the generator), showed us what we needed to know, and followed our instructions regarding the old generator. We recommend them without reservations.

My experience with the Charlottesville, VA Never Dark group was the best experience I have ever had with any contractors working at my house! With their help we decided which system we were going to purchase and the rest was done professionally and efficiently including their handling of my propane installation and all permitting and inspections. The installation was done in two days......it was done neatly and the cleanup was perfect. I would recommend that anyone installing a whole house generator go to the Never Dark people for the most trouble free installation possible.
