We went here on a date night. The service and food is amazing. The staff were very friendly. The black eyed peas they give as complimentary was just too good (I prefer soft bread though). The waiter was very accommodating and helped with customizing to our tastes. Roasted chicken was juicy and tender. We will visit again....

I went for restaurant week and got the potato leek soup, the lamb shank and the cheesecake. The leek soup had plenty of delicious crab meat in it. Otherwise I think I wouldve been happier w the beef carpaccio the server recommendation. The lamb shank took forever but was well worth the wait. It was bigger than a turkey leg and came on a bed of cheesy parmesan risotto. The lamb was delicious the red wine reduction was so delicious I couldnt get enough of it. The risotto was amazing! Totally hit the spot and paired perfectly w the lamb and the juices. The cheesecake wasnt over the top but definitely didnt disappoint. Everyone was very nice and the atmosphere was very cozy.

Went for Queens Feast. Our server, Bret, was spot on with his service. Impeccable timing and never felt rushed to finish. Great job by management to maintain the ambience. Overall, the food was excellent and very well prepared. We ordered the crab cake, fritto misto, penne seafood and tagliata steak. The crab cake was crispy but not greasy. The fritto misto, also fried, was tasty and loved the fried zucchini mixed it as well. The penne seafood was flavorful, the penne was al dente. Would definitely order any of these again. The steak was prepared properly but the entire plate was probably the less flavorful of all the items we ordered. I would not order the steak again. Im lactose intolerant, so for my dessert, I received the fresh fruit dish which is usually my only dessert choice. Really?! I have gotten to the point I usually turn down fresh fruit. But I was served the fruit anyway and these were the best strawberries Ive had in years! Not sure where these were purchased, but they were picked ripe! These were not picked green then left to ripen during transit like so much of our fruits and vegetables today. The bread and white beans served as we waited for our meal was good, however, I have a pet peeve about burned bread. And ours was on one edge. The bread was good, crusty outside, soft inside but I never understand why restaurants serve burnt bread! We ordered a bottle of wine with dinner. The wine prices are on average $40/bottle. If you bring your own bottle, corkage is $20.They were very helpful with my lactose intolerance and even made recommendations on what I could order (almost everything). NOTE: The tables on the porch were extremely close, you had to turn sideways to get to your table. No elevator so if you cant climb stairs, you cant eat here. I like the quiet background music, we were able to have a conversation but were so close to the other diners that we never had much of one. Maybe one row of tables rather than cramming two on the porch?

Ordered delivery. The food quality is very low. Most of what we ordered is not edible. The lobster in the seafood pasta was like chewing rubber. Eggplant was tasteless except for the nasty breading. The fries were soggy. Dover sole for the price they charge was not acceptable.

Heres my review with 2 pros and 2 cons:Pros:1. The food is great - had the following: Scallops Wrapped in Smoked Salmon, Burrata, Beef Wellington. Cost for 2 people $250+2. The decor is top notch: its up-scale with white linen and beautiful paintings on the walls.Cons:1. Noise Level: very loud atmosphere. During the evening the wait staff dropped silverware on the ground 3 different times. Shuffling of silverware can be heard from the kitchen. The noise creates a chaotic feeling.2. The hosts and wait-staff did not seem to care: the greeting upon entry was insincere and lacked interaction. The server could have been more attentive and timely, given how few of people were in his section.

Giving three stars because food was exceptional but service was beyond poor. We had a group of 7 that went for dinner. Half of us arrived before the others and we were greeted within a minute of sitting down and were asked if we wanted anything besides water to drink at the moment. We didn’t get a chance to look at the drink menu so we said we would like a minute to look and started with water. Our other half of the group arrived and our waitress never came back to the table. We saw her standing at the bar talking to another server to where she was seen turning around to look at our table and turned back around to the waiter where he rolled his eyes. At that point he became our waiter. This was seen by our entire table which to us shows she age profiled our group and didn’t want to take our table because she thought she would be losing money because we wouldn’t tip much. Let’s be clear here, we’re all 24-25 years of age. We all know how to tip especially if service is great. This was appalling to witness. The waiter who took our table was very rude and only checked on us twice our entire meal. We had to ask the bartender from our table if he could get us more wine. I work in the restaurant industry and service is huge to me. This restaurant needs to check with their staff or management needs to be more aware of their customers experience especially for how high class it is. I will not be returning to this restaurant because of my experience and the lack of service.

We made reservations for 4 for January 29 for Restaurant week. There was a snow issue in Charlotte and everything was closed. There was a notice in the Charlotte Observer that Restaurant week had been extended one week as the restaurants traffic was hurt due to the weather. We called and got reservations for February 5th for 4. We were not told that this restaurant made the decision not to participate in the Restaurant week extension. We only found that out when we sat down. Service was slow and food was below average. The waiter never asked if we wanted anything to drink. My wife had to ask for a glass of wine. My steak was not done properly and was very tough. I did not complain as it took a long time to get our food. They brought 2 dinners to the table and then did not bring the other 2 dinners out for 5 minutes. We were getting ready to go in the kitchen and find out what happened to them. We had to flag another waiter down to end the meal and get our checks. I would not recommend.

I came for restaurant week. Our server, Mia, was amazing. The fritto misto and lamb shank were delicious and generous portions. I can’t give it a 5 star because my risotto was not true risotto. It was made with just regular rice as opposed to arborio rice. My tiramisu was delicious, too... I would have preferred it without the extra chocolate sauce on top.

Some mixed feelings on this review, the interior of the restaurant is very nice but seems to be set up more as a bar than an actual nice sit-down restaurant. Unless youve had a couple drinks youll probably be annoyed by the noise level ( bar area is raised and noise travels out into surrounding dining area). The cost for the food is kind of expensive but the presentation is nice ( unfortunately did not get any pictures). I should not have ordered the ribeye steak... Ive never had a steak that tough before, ever! It was cooked medium rare and must have just been a very low quality ribeye. The ribeye steaks I purchased from Walmart and cook myself are a hundred times better. Staff was super friendly and did a good job with keeping up with all the orders, were dressed pretty sharp too. I think I would enjoy this place better at the bar drinking with some appetizers.

Appetizers were amazing, though Sullivans steak is better. Unfortunately, their clientele makes this place unbearable to eat at. We had to suffer through dinner while an old white man complained to his table about how ridiculous people were to suggest blacks were underrepresented in the Oscars, then he went on to discuss womens place, and proceeded down a laundry list of bigotry at full volume. The servers chuckled along with him, as he often stopped to engage them in the conversation. I dont think he missed an opportunity to slight anyones gender, sexual orientation, or race. If youre a self-respecting black, female, or homosexual person, I wouldnt recommend eating here, or you may get an earful of bigotry.
