Celestial Cakery made our cake for our recent 3/7/21 wedding in Uptown Charlotte. Ella took our requests and turned them into the exact cake that we wanted! We told her we did not want a traditional wedding cake. Instead we wanted a cake to represent the college where we both met. Ella listened to our stories, took our inspiration pictures, and made each tier represent something about our college.We had a tasting with her about one year before our wedding complete with champagne, and that was such a fun wedding experience as her. Highly disappointed - this bakery came highly recommended. I ordered a cake tasting to my surprise I was given CUPCAKES . None of my cupcakes were tasted as if they were baked today. How would you expect someone to pay$ 800- $1000 for a custom wedding cake when the cupcakes were the samples ,dry, not fresh and lacking flavor! Overall i was not satisfied. I will not recommend any bride to have their cake made here!

Ella designed our cake for our wedding in November 2017. Ella and I have known each other for a few years, and I was so ecstatic to have her create our wedding cake. Ella conducted our consult with an incredibly high level of professionalism and grace, offering us samples of each of the cakes and icings we had chosen in her beautiful office and bakery space. The cakes, were of course, over-the-top delicious and we couldn’t wait to dig in on wedding day! Ella answered all of our questions about cake sizing, tiers, pricing and design and we easily came up with a gorgeous cake that fit our party size and budget. I showed Ella a few photos and let her run with the design. On wedding day, when I came down the stairs and saw the cake, I was dumbfounded. It was exactly what I had imagined and more- it was subtle, modern, beautiful, free of imperfections and of course, the most important part, DELICIOUS. We have already decided to commission Ella to make a smaller replica for us to fully enjoy on our anniversary. We were an out of town bride and groom planning our wedding across country. I had made a special trip to Charlotte to meet with vendors and had done 4 other cake tastings while I was in town. After the 4th tasting, I just wasnt sold on any of them. I went back to The Knot list I had made and saw Celestial Cakery and decided to reach out as a Hail Mary to get a last minute appointment. Curtis responded immediately and figured out a way to fit us in the next day because I was leaving the following day. I am SO happy that we were able to get an appointment for a tasting because Ellas cakes were delicious!! She had creative and innovative flavors that really were outside of the box. Her designs were gorgeous and she understood exactly the look I wanted and offered suggestions on how to accomplish the look. On top of all of that, her pricing was the most reasonable. It was a no-brainer for us to choose her. I also asked her about doing a Grooms cake and we came up with a great option for my husband. She knew how to make a Golden State Warriors cake that didnt look like a childs birthday party cake. Our cake was gorgeous!! Pinterest perfect. I came in for a tasting and was treated like a princess, I had previosuly went to other tastings and it was nothing like hear! I felt so special! I went ahead and placed an order with Ella, she is so sweet, her prices are affordable! And her cakes are so fresh and tastes so so sooo good! The presentation of my cake was jaw dropping gorgeous! Unfortunately My wedding was canceled because of winter storm Diego, I was so heart broken, my family decided to through a small celebration hear at home and still ella and curtis came through and delivered my cake! I cannot say enough nice things about The Celestial Cakery (Ella & Curtis both). Not only was our wedding cake beautiful to look at, it also tasted amazing. Scheduling our cake tasting was super easy and Ella made the process of selecting our flavors fun and incredibly tasty! I loved the fact that we could build a cake entirely based on our flavor preferences which we did not have the option of with other bakeries in town. We chose the orange spice & chai tea cake flavors with the cinnamon & plain buttercreams for the frosting of our wedding cake. It. Was. Amazing! We also ended up ordering several mini-dessert options for our wedding in addition to our cake and they were a HUGE hit with our guests! Our emails leading up to the wedding were always answered promptly which is a huge plus when working with a wedding vendor and I found their pricing to be very fair. My only regret from this whole experience is that my husband and I didnt cut a bigger slice of cake when we cut our cake at the reception! :) I would absolutely recommend The Celestial Cakery for anyones celebration cake needs.

We went for a tasting a few months ago and had so much trouble deciding on what flavor cake to serve at our wedding because everything was delicious. Not only do Ellas cakes look AMAZING, but they taste INCREDIBLE! Its a challenge to find a place that can do both, but it seems Ellas pulls it off effortlessly.I ordered both the wedding cake and grooms cake from Ellas for our wedding earlier this month. My husband LOVES roller coasters, and my son does too. So for a surprise on our wedding day, I asked for the grooms cake to be a small roller coaster cake. I am so happy with the work Ella did for my wedding. We didnt want a huge cake but they gave us plenty of ideas of what we could do. We ended up doing an assortment of cupcakes, cake pops, and macaroons and all three were delicious!!! I went for a cake tasting for our wedding and it was delicious. The cake was light moist and tasty. The butter cream icing was to die for. The lemon flavor and strawberry were our favorites!!! We absolutely loved Ellas cake and cupcakes! We had cupcakes with delicious fillings, Amaretto was a favorite, and they were moist and the icing was perfect. We also had a cake made which was filled with preserves and again was moist with amazing marshmallow fondant! We highly recommend for any occasion!

My fiance and I went for the cake tasting today with Ella for our wedding. We tried the Vanilla, Red Velvet, and Vanilla Chocolate Chip cupcakes. All three were sooooo good, and her prices are much cheaper than a lot of other bakeries. The batter and the icing are perfect (not too sweet but just right). Also, her and her husband are really nice and very flexible. Definitely check her out if you are in the market for cakes and/or cupcakes.

I LOVED my wedding cake! We had a two layered cake- salted caramel with plain buttercream for one layer. Guinness chocolate with maple buttercream for the other. Ella listened to what the vibe of the wedding was and made the perfect design choices! She even made two apple and two strawberry rhubarb pies for me to surprise my husband with at the reception! Her customer service is amazing and you cant be her delicious cakes!

They were all delicious, but the salted caramel was everyones favorite! They are all so amazing it was too hard to choose so we decided to have a different flavor for each layer. Her buttercream icing is wonderful very creamy and not too sweet. The cake was moist and fluffy. The prices are very reasonable as well. If you need a cake I highly recommend them.

Ella and Curtis really are a dream team when it comes to cakes for any occasion. If you are interested in a beautiful and delicious cake, I suggested doing what I did and perusing Celestial Cakes Instagram page (@thecelestialcakery). It was impossible for us to choose a favorite cake on their Instagram page.We used the Celestial Cakery for my nieces 6th birthday cake. The flavor suggestions and design ideas sounded excellent for my niece who is currently obsessed with Disneys princess Moana. The celebration was set for Friday around noon, and as promised, Curtis delivered the cake in a personal cake cooler on Thursday evening. Of course, once the cake was settled on our kitchen counter, I had to have a look at the cake. It was stunning! Not only was it a gorgeous cake, it smelled delicious. I kept catching hints of the salted caramel flavor from our living room. As mother-of-the-bride, I researched cakes online and came across Ellas Celestial Cakes. Ellas delightful website and consistent 5-star reviews convinced me we found it. After the tasting of cupcakes at her sweet home, my daughter, her fiance and I were sold. We adored the red velvet with cream cheese frosting, coconut with coconut buttercream, and honey vanilla bean with basic buttercream. As my future son-in-law commented, Ellas buttercream is not too sweet but just right. We uploaded an idea from Pinterest to Ellas email and were pleasantly surprised to find she had already decorated a similar cake and knew EXACTLY what we had in mind!! Ella has an extensive collection of cake stands to rent and will deliver and set up out-of-town for a small fee.
