There is one woman at the desk who is so rude. Don’t come to work if you are going to be bitter to the clients who come in. She was short with me when I asked her to repeat the directions for the paperwork and wanted me to rush as fast as I could to get it done. She needs an attitude adjustment very quickly and this experience makes me want to go somewhere else. If you don’t like people, pick another job. SMH.

Some of the staff are very unprofessional and rude. They want you to pick your glasses fast and rush you through the process. The ladies at the front desk are the only nice ones. Bad customer service experience overall.

Terrible customer service, calling their phone number takes forever to speak with someone. After wasting over 2 min to get thru the answer service prompts the operator isn’t very helpful and rude.Then whom ever they send you to never answers the phone and takes very long to return your callsThis has happened to me several times and it’s very frustrating. Currently I do understand the COVID 19 has changed the way every company handles customers but this place needs to be a bit more helpful and friendly.

I really liked the Dr. we saw and I would go back to him if he were somewhere else, but the front desk staff will definitely keep me from going back! When I called to make a same day appointment for my son who had an injury, the receptionist was very difficult to work with. When we went in, the lady at the front desk was very short with us and made us feel unwelcomed. Front office/receptionists are gatekeepers...they can make or break an experience. They are definitely keeping us away!

Zero stars. I scheduled an appt. for my son in JANUARY. They cancelled two appts, pushed the appts back until July because of emergencies with the dr. (even though I never chose a specific dr.?). Now they say my insurance doesnt cover starting July 1st. Question why they kept pushing his appt. back until after July?

I would give a 0 star if I could. I went to this place in September 2020. The receptionist are very rude. Then when Dr. Paul Marvin came in he didnt listen and didnt exam my eye good. Over talking me and his assistant. My eye was non-stop watery and he prescribed some eye drops that didnt work and told me to buy some over the counter eye scrub that was $15 and that didnt work either. I went to a different specialist at a different place called CEENT and they were amazing. I had an eye procedure to open my tear duct in January 2021. Horizon should be shutdown!

Horrible front-end process to make an eye appoint. Expect to wait forever! Telephone prompt is ridiculously long and not needed. Once you get someone they look up your name/DOB, then connect you to someone in appointments. Why did I press the pompt to make an appointment? Then disconnected twice. It takes a lot to get me to the point to write a negative review.

Kelly from the contacts section was extremely helpful!! I needed contacts FAST and she was able to make it happen for me!! I was able to get them delivered to my home before vacation, perfect timing!! Thank you so much for taking the time to make this happen for me, it means so much!!

This is the most rudest and arrogant physician I have ever seen in a long time “This physician seems to be very impose by my weight instead of my eye “ vision not just one time but twice about my weight not being concerned that it was a medical issue.Due to me having a ( Pituitary Toma ) which causes me to gain weight. None of his concern I’m therefore I exam and I was told that if I lose a little weight in my eyes will probably be able to see better because my eyelids was too heavy two times and talked about my weight Pay money to get insulted enough? Spoke to several managers about this incident do not know the outcome.{ DO not see this doctor Ifyou are Oversized }

Very rude and snappy to my son who forgot his mask and then informed us they would not provide him one. We had to leave and go to Harris Teeter that’s more accommodating for tiny margins vs the thousands we give this place

I was able to schedule a new patient appointment very quickly. At the front desk I had tons of questions about my insurance because it was my first time using it. She was very helpful, friendly and informative. The tech and the doctor were wonderful. I enjoyed the experience and have recommended to my family. Even ordering my glasses went great. He explained what was covered by my insurance and how often. Overall this was a great experience.

Office cancelled appointment about a week before visit thats been scheduled for two months. The staff was unable to provide any realistic replacement times for an appointment they cancelled! Customer service needs some work, we will be finding a different company and doctor.

I was able to be seen as a new patient within a day of calling for an appointment. Check-in was immediate and pleasant, and competent. Wait time was minimal. My tech assistant was pleasant, educated, and also competent. I saw Dr. Branner who was equally personable, thorough, and informative. Overall,.... A+. I will be bringing the rest of my family members over to Horizon.

I would definitely recommend for eye concerns beyond the typical exam for glasses. Dr. Hustead was thorough and explained everything she was doing. Front office staff and assistants were all friendly and helpful too.

Wonderful care by Dr. Daugherty for both of my small children. What I despise is the fact that every time Ive been weve had to wait at least 30 minutes past my appointment schedule time to go back. Then once were back another 30 minutes to be dilated. The entire appointment took 2 hours and we were probably seen for

I HATE having my eyes touched, poked, etc. so I usually despise going to the eye doctor. Any time I have told an eye doctor about it before they act like Im so weird. A friend referred me to Horizon at Waverly and said that they were really nice. Although I was a little embarrassed about my sensitivity, I let them know up front about it and they were actually really understanding. I was so nervous that I forgot my insurance info and the lady at the front desk (Denise) was super sweet and patient with me. She even told me about an option they have to use a machine to test your eyes so that you DONT HAVE TO BE DILATED! The technician (Lilliana) was totally cool and really understanding. We talked and laughed while she was doing her thing and it actually wasnt that bad. I felt so relaxed with her that it really started to feel like it was no big deal and it went really quickly. Then I saw Dr. James. He was so calm and explained everything in a way that just made sense. He even showed me the computer image of the back of my eyeball which was actually really cool and not nearly as gross as it sounds! I honestly will never go anywhere else. They ALMOST made me not have an eyeball phobia!

Dr Patel was very nice. I have no problem with the doctor. The person that I talked to was extremely rude and not helpful. It had been over a year since I had been there. I unexpectedly ran out of my contacts. She could not get me in for another month and a half. I asked for one set of contacts to get me through. She said no. She was not willing to help. She criticized me for not coming in earlier. I will not go back. Called piedmont eye care at Blakeney and they saw me the next day. The dr was wonderful. The contact prescription has become a racket in my opinion. I usually buy more than a year supply when I have a prescription for just that reason. My eyes haven’t changed in years. Anyway I reviewed because you need to know how rude one of your employees were.

Appointment was scheduled for 2:30 didn’t get called back until 3:30 and still had to wait another 30 minutes.. they take entirely too long for everything they do. would not recommend unless you plan to spend your whole afternoon here.

I have Diabetic Retinopathy and have been getting shots in my eyes every month for the past 4 years. But now with Dr. Ryder I only need the shots every 8 weeks and there is absolutely no pain whatsoever. I literally cannot tell when the needle goes in except for that I see a little cloud with a dark ring dissipate as the medicine is delivered. I thought my last doctor was great but this guys skill is even better. There is no residual pain either after the numbing drops wear off.

I had to go to Horizon today in an emergency. They were so kind and fit me in quickly. Dr. Patel was super helpful, knowledgable and nice. They even rushed me through when I learned that I took my husbands car keys with me by accident (whoops!) and he couldnt get the kids to school. Im so happy to know we have great ophthalmologist care with customer service available so close to home!

Ive been seeing Dr Hustead for years for my annual exam, great doctor. I have also seen Dr James and Dr Marvin when I had a problem and the staff kindly worked me in. I highly recommend this office.

Despite the annoyance of the delivery company Loosing our sons glasses and us waiting more then 6 weeks, the customer service is on another level. They reordered the glasses and paid to make a pair that same day.
