Just wanted to give some credit to Tracy who was the technician that responded to my service call to Eastway L&K, he was very prompt and friendly in his response and explained thoroughly what I could expect and costs, ETA, etc. Tracy was also upfront that he was on his way to another call that he had before me and let me know what side of town so I had an idea of about how long I’d be sitting with my kids locked out of my house! He called back when done with the other call only a few minutes later to say he was on his way. Very professional and courteous; prompt in correspondence and honest. Thank you again!

I had two locks re-keyed to match an existing key. They got it done in about 10 minutes while I waited, and both locks work great. At about $17 per lock it was definitely worth it as I have zero knowledge on how to do it myself. Quick, quality service from Eastway. 👍🏻

Beware Poor Customer Service/Price Gouging?! I needed 6 interior door levers installed and 3 door locks rekeyed. I called Eastway Lock and Key. The price was high ($90 to come out, then an hourly fee, $50 I think it was, and another charge for rekeying) but they were highly recommended, so I went ahead knowing it would be done correctly. And it was. No complaint there, but the technician forgot to put on one of the levers and I didnt notice it until after he left. I called and setup an appointment to complete the work. The person I spoke to said there wouldnt be a service charge to come out since it was a oversight. A week later that changed. The technician never arrived I called to see if I had the time wrong only to discover my appointment wasnt on the schedule. Ok, fine. A new time was set. Shortly thereafter the technician called me in a huff, offended that I would suggest he had forgotten something and blamed me for not reminding him there was another lever. He then proceeded to tell me I would be charged a fee to come out since it wasnt his fault. I was shocked at his tone and his pointed focus on this fee. I called the company back and got a different person who also became defensive and focused on this fee rather than fixing the problem. I felt like I was on trial. Since, I couldnt remember the name of the woman I had spoken to originally, the one whom had said I would not be charged an additional service fee just pay for installation, they seemed to question my honesty. I am extremely disappointed and upset to have been treated like this. I never blamed anyone. No biggie, mistakes happen, I just wanted the lever installed. They were both so defensive. Correcting the error didnt seem nearly as important as getting the additional service fee. I will not use them again and recommend that you too avoid Eastway. Find a Locksmithing Company who respects and values its customers over making as much as possible at every chance they get.

Last night I called from Freedom Park after discovering I had locked my keys in the car...AJ missed my call but ended up calling back! He was quick, personable, funny and professional. While I found my keys outside of my car in the park, my car door was opened without damage AND I would call for Eastway’s service again, in a heart beat. Thank you, AJ for making a miserable situation way more palatable!

I went to Home Depot to try to get some keys for a church mailbox made. They told me they werent able to do it. I went to Eastway Lock & Key and they were able to make them. I had 3 copies made and had no problems using any of them. They do have a setup outside for service due to COVID, and it was convenient and quick.

I come in to my place of business and I go to my desk and I see theres guy for Eastway Lock & Key was repairing my buzzer for the door. I said to him hey and I explained the day the buzz for the door stop working. The guy never said a word to me and looked at me with a blank stare. It was definitely awkward.

I had a trailer hitch locked onto my vehicle, but no key to remove it. Drove it over and they had it off in short order. Took 2 of them, apparently it was a tough lock and also in a very awkward position to work on. But they were super professional and friendly. Im thinking theres a good reason theyve been around *forever* in Charlotte. Would not hesitate to use them again. Awesome service!!!

I called Eastway Lock & Key on Tuesday 1/19/21 because the knob to our front door was falling off. The put the call into their service department, for repair that same day. Brian called me to let me know when he would was bout 30 minutes from arriving. After Brian arrived and looked at the door, he said that we would need a entire new knob assembly ( Please excuse my wording, I am not sure what all the parts are called.) Brian said that he would check at the shop to see if they had something that would work, and luckily they did. Brian came back THAT SAME DAY to do the repair. It look some time, and Brian kept checking with me along the way, to let me know how much longer it was going to take.I do have to say at the end of the job, Brian had me check the door and would not leave until I was completely satisficed!!! I would highly recommend Eastway Lock & Key ( And ask for Brian ... I know I will from now on!)

Called Amanda late this morning and Kenny showed up with everything needed for the job after lunch. Amanda was pleasant and efficient. Kenny is clearly a Master Locksmith. My crawlspace door wouldnt latch. Friendly, courteous, efficient, and wearing appropriate PPE. The work was done quickly and completely. The price was very reasonable for the quality and efficiency of the work. Please accept my thanks and express my appreciation to Kenny, Bosses. The team sent out a Locksmith the same day I called. Within an hour the locksmith, who was great, arrived. He was professional, very friendly, rekeyed two locks, and made the extra keys needed. I would use Eastway Lock and Key again.

We needed our business locks changed in a hurry. I called two other companies, both of which advertised emergency service but were far from being able to provide it. So happy I kept dialing and found Eastway--they were professional on the phone, amazingly fast at getting to my business, and absolutely helpful, competent and friendly upon arrival and through the process. Incredible service!! We called Eastway Lock and Key when we accidentally locked ourselves out of our house. They responded right away and were at our house in less than 30 minutes. I just have to brag about an experience I just had with Daniel at Eastway Lock and Key. I locked my purse, keys and phone in my trunk while loading groceries. Several people were trying to pop my door open with no luck. LIKE THE LOCKSMITH ANGEL THAT HE IS, Daniel walked up out of nowhere offering to help and within minutes, I was in my car and on my way home. Thank you Daniel - you SAVED my day and my groceries!!!

I contacted Eastway Lock & Key to assist me with rekeying the locks on my grandmothers house, after she had some remodeling. The technician that was sent out was knowledgeable, quick and very courteous.They may not be the cheapest in-town, but when it comes to safety I dont want cheap....I want efficiency and comfort in knowing my family is safe. I took my Kawasaki Motorcycle key to AKM Locksmith on Monroe Rd to have a copy made. They indicated it was a really difficult key to copy and wanted $45 with me providing the blank. So I declined and took my blank and master to Eastway. They made a perfect copy and charged me $4. They will get my repeat business.

Contacted Eastway Lock and Key to replace the deadbolts and doorknobs at my home. The gentlemen who scheduled my appointment informed me that they could re-key my existing hardware which would save me a lot of money. Jack came out today and quickly and professionally handled the job for me. Eastway was recommended to me by my sister and I will surely recommend Eastway to my colleagues and friends in Charlotte.

I have used and recommended Eastway Lock for years, and never had a problem. I was told years ago that they were the epitome of service, and the prices werent the lowest, but you get what you pay for. (normally). Simple problem with my front door lock has now cost $225 and 5 visits over 2 months.Visit 1- the locksmith said it didnt need repair, charged me a service call and left.Visit 2- came back same day after I complained and installed a cam, charged me again...Visit 3- Still not working, came and changed another part, charged again.Visit 4- The door handle fell off!!! No charge this time! Yay!!Visit 5- More parts changed, they insist its fixed now. No Charge, but good Lord. Ill keep you folks posted....

My ex-Wife was able to trick the installer into giving her illegal access to my house. Installer Tracey Willson didn’t do a good enough job of confirming whether she was allowed in the house or not and now I have a huge problem that could have been averted if he’d done more work to find out who she was. He simply let her in. I would never recommend this company to anyone! I recommend you stay far away from this company!

I went for duplicate car key for my 2014 Ford Escape. The receptionist was super friendly and Miro, the owner was professional and nice. Key works great. He also helped me figure out how to connect my phone to bluetooth gps when the sales person at Ford couldnt.They also have the cutest house keys I havent seen other places.

We are very satisfied with Eastway Lock & Key and work the technician did. We have used them for 25+ years and continue to refer them to our friends, family and neighbors.

I called this company and asked them to install a Core for an exterior door. They told me they would be out right away. It took 3 weeks and and a phone call every week to get them to come out. When they did they installed a core and left. The core was not correctly keyed so I have no way of opening the door. I would highly not recommend this company.

Go to the dealer if you need a duplicate key!!Went to Eastway for a spare key with a chip. Sales guy told me the price was $85. I thought that was expensive and so I asked him what does a dealer charge? He told me at least $100. After spending $85 at Eastway I visited City Chevrolet. Got an original key with the GM logo for $41Eastway over charges to make a spare key!

Woman that waited on me was rude. Charged $3 a key for 10 of the same key, which is more than twice anyplace else. Made a trip there because service and prices were good previously but wont go back again.

I come to Eastway Lock And Key with all my building needs. They have an expertise that cant be beaten.

I called ahead to ask how much it would cost to rekey a lock to match another if I brought both locks in to the store. They told me $12.50.I had assumed that since I ordered the locks online that they were keyed differently and didnt check, which is why my rating is two stars instead of one.They assumed that I meant I wanted all the locks rekeyed even though all I asked for was for both the locks to be keyed the same. When I was charged $60 and explained that it wasnt what I had asked for, all they said was sorry. Im incredibly pissed about the whole thing. A little communication on their end would have kept this whole thing from happening.

Called and spoke at length with a girl who kept asking other(s) in the office if my request could be accommodated. I was very explicit in my explanation of vehicle type and desired key programming needed. After being assured Eastway Lock & Key could do the job I scheduled an appointment. The morning of the appointment, I was onsite waiting for Eastway to arrive. NO Eastway. I finally called to ask where the tech was and was told they left me a message that morning cancelling the appointment. Apparently the girl and everyone in the office she consulted lied about the companys ability to program the keys. The message stated the tech said he couldnt program the keys. Why wasnt the tech consulted to begin with? I lost days waiting for the appointment date to arrive. What a poor business model. If you dont know if the tech can do the work, tell me that, ask the tech and call me back. I will never call Eastway again. What a bunch of jackalopes.

I called this company at 9:30 am for someone to come out and replace my lost car key. I was told that someone would be there by 11:00. At 12:30 no one had shown up and I had not received a call as to what was going on. I called at this time and was told that my technician was held up on another call and would not be there until 2:00. I had to be at work at 2:45 which is why I called when they first opened in the morning. At 2:10 the technician had still not shown up and when I called I was told that he had been back at the company location for 25 minutes. He was not coming out because the company he gets his codes through was closed for a month! Again, I was not called to be notified of this. When I called back again later to voice my disapproval of my lack of service I was told that he did try to call but was given the wrong phone number by the office.I ended up being late for work and received a reprimand for my tardiness. I work for the Charlotte Fire Department so my tardiness could have had the possibility of putting peoples lives in danger. The service I received today is completely unacceptable. I will never recommend this company to anyone.
