This was the absolute best car-buying experience Ive ever had, and Ive had many of them. I reached out to Capital Ford of Charlotte late Thursday afternoon to ensure that they had a 2021 Explorer ST available that I had found on the Ford.com site. They confirmed that they did, in fact, have the vehicle and that it had just come in to their dealership. I explained to the sales agent that I did not live in the Charlotte area, but I was planning to be driving through the area the following morning and I would stop to purchase the Explorer if we were to negotiate the deal successfully over the phone. I gave her my target number and sent her multiple pictures of my trade-in vehicle to start the process. Lets be honest, the number I gave was my pipe-dream and I never expected that Capital Ford would entertain such a number on a brand-new and highly sought after Explorer. I received a phone call Thursday evening from Billy Linville. Billy is the Internet Sales Manager for Capital Ford of Charlotte. Billy and I spoke briefly on what they were able to offer me for my trade, as well as what I could purchase the new vehicle for. I gave Billy my final number and informed him that Id be coming through the area around 10:30a the next morning and he had until then to successfully negotiate the deal with me or I wasnt stopping at the dealership. Billy went to work with the team at Capital to put a package together for me. I heard from Billy the following morning as I was packing to leave on my trip. Billy gave me his current offer (they were $7k away from what I wanted due to my trade payoff) and I countered with mine. Billy called me back while I was on the way, actually I was almost to Charlotte at the point of this phone call. Billy had been working on the offer details and gave me his new number that was now only $4500 away from my number. I told Billy that I realized my number wasnt realistic and that Id be willing to come up $3500 if he were willing to come down $3500 on his side to meet me in the middle. Billy agreed! I told him I was 15 minutes away from the dealership and to go ahead and get the paperwork started and the vehicle prep-work completed. Once I arrived at the dealership, I explained to Billy that I was on a bit of a time crunch because I had to continue my trip to get to a very important event. Billy understood and started making things happen very quickly to get everything setup and get me out the door. Billy was excellent to deal with and definitely didnt try to push any additional services or fees on me. He was completely straight-up in the details of the transaction and very efficient. I was in and out of the dealership within 90 minutes of my arrival. This was such a great experience that I think I will buy all of my cars over the phone going forward and Ill even drive back to Charlotte to see Billy the next time Im in the market. I would highly recommend Capital Ford of Charlotte for your next new car purchase.

The service department is really unprofessional. I have a issue with my radio back in April 2021 now here it is in October 2021 and the issue hasnt been resolved. I called and get the voicemail every time, I ask for the manager same thing. I understand if theyre busy but the no call back is an issue for me. I have to go up there to be told that we are working on it and they will give me a call. The call hasnt come yet. If I could give them 0 stars I would. It seems as if they cater to their own and not to the people of color. Im very disappointed because my family has been a ford since I was a kid. My father his father and his father drove ford trucks. Im very disappointed.

Sold me a lemon back in July 2019 and wont buy it back for what I owe. I took the car back today and got it appraisal and a Manger appraised it along with the buyer person only wanted to give me $12,000 but considering damages that were already done to the car when I purchased it. This dealership sold me a LEMON and Steven keep calling it a buy back which was explained to me the previous owners keep taking it back with complaints so the Ford bought the vehicle back. I ask Steve have the issues been fixed that the previous owners complained about he said yes and showed me that repairs were made so I wanted to precede to buy. Lemons are worth less and hard to finance. Bought the vehicle at $21,650 added warranty and Gap coverage and taxes with **$99 nitrogen air is 1.25 at the air pump stations why in the heck they charge me for filling the tires with nitrogen I didnt request that.$27,700. They did me dirty. We found a new car but cant because no other Ford Delership will accept this car. This dealership has caused me so much stress and agnoy Im lost of why they felt I deserved to be treated this way our family needs an Expedition Max but because of so much negative equity the car has I cant trade it. I still have the Ford Extra Care warranty and have keep this car well maintained
