A short white guy who is the waiter approached me without even asking what happened tonight, September 4, 2021. He said, What is your problem, bro? I didn’t say anything because I just arrived. He probably doesn’t like my presence because my friends and I are men of color. He was very rude.

Got inside at 9:30. By the time 10:30 came around I still haven’t gotten any service. I explained to the bartender that I’ve been here for almost an hour they said “we stopped serving.” At a bar that isn’t even half capacity I would expect them to at least acknowledge that I’m trying to make a purchase. If you plan on going out, I recommend fairwood or brickyard.

I love the atmosphere! They have such a large variety of beers with reasonable prices. Chef Austin makes a mean grilled cheese.

If you want to be treated horribly come here. As a regular with two friends that currently work here I cannot believe the treatment we got. The level of disrespect from the bartenders was insane and we were yelled at to leave for no reason. If your in the area go to Wooden Robot or ANYWHERE ELSE. It’s over priced and the bartenders are rude and disrespectful.

I’m a recent resident of South End. Ashley at Bulldog is a rockstar. Always notices when my glass is empty and is ready to pour another one up! Great smile and a great time. Keep up the awesome hiring process guys. It’s help solidify a long time customer!

Couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Popcorn galore, bartenders on point, live band was “phat” as the kids say, I love it! And one more thing...Ashley was above and beyond the epitome of customer service!

My wife and I love going here! The bartender Airma always takes such amazing care of us both and makes sure we have everything we need. Never lets a drink sit empty! Great beer selection too!

Boy oh boy what a time. Ashley always made sure my glass was full. Band was all up in their feelings. People were jiving and thriving all over the place. Would recommend to anyone!

Awesome selection of beer and wine. Can either get tap beer or buy a 6 pack and drink it. Dog friendly outside and inside which is fantastic! Cool view of the City skyline from the patio area. Will for sure be going back!

Really good beer selection both on draft and bottle. Also, the owner brings in his 2 bulldogs sometimes and they are the cutest dogs ever. Except for my dog. Hes the cutest.

Overall nice vibe here. Solid beer selection and I like the chilled beers available for purchase/take home. So many doggos is an instant five stars in addition to everything else thats awesome about this place.

This place is lit but in the chill way. It seems new and wasnt super crowded, which was amazing since our visit was during a Sunday Playoff game. They have one of my favorite Tennessee craft beers too. Got to play billiards and darts without having to pay or fight for it, that is more than I can say for the other two bars we visited that day. Only reason for one less star is the door to the mens room doesnt latch properly. Oh yeah and the porcelain faces the door. I found out one of the patrons likes to stand and wipe.... Well at least the show was free. Will 5* when fixed.

Staff is great ,beer selection is great . They have some convenience store items also. Bar is really nicely built and roomy. Has outdoor area. And is dog friendly.

We held a networking event here. The owner and staff were friendly and helpful. I did not here any complaints about the location other than to move our event to the main section since a lot of the customers were going to the game area which we near.

Great bar located in the heart of South End Charlotte with a variety of different beers on draft. They have actual bulldogs that hang out in there as well. There is a small patio area but it can be very crowded on nights and weekends. Theres not a ton of space for seating either.

Let me start off by saying that I was illegally and fraudulently charged at Bulldog. Thisis my first ever review on yelp. So Im not some crazy person who leaves bad reviews on every time there is bad service.This was my first time to Bulldogs and it will be my last. We walk in, cool vibe, playing darts, I go to get a drink, there are 2 bartenders. One was really nice and I got 1 drink (my first drink of the night, to clarify I was NOT wasted). I went to get a second beer and the other bartender would NOT take my order. She wouldnt even look me in the eye. At one point I was the only person at the bar trying to get a drink and she just walked away and started to talk to some guys at the end of the bar... cool. So I walked away to see if I could get the other bartenders attention. A group of girls approached me and said yea dont even try to get a drink from that one, she refuses to serve females. I dont know what her problem is. Ok got it.I went back up to the bar and after a solid couple of minutes I got her attention. I did not act frustrated or upset, I just simply asked for an East Ciders Original. She then took another guys order and I specificity heard him say it was a Wicked Weed Pernicsomthing or other because I thought it was a weird name. Clearly Im not a beer girl.She came back with his beer and not mine. Ok, weird. He was holding out his card to give to her and she grabs my card and his card and goes to get my cider. She comes back with my cider and then swipes my card and asks if I want to close out and I said yes. She then proceeds to give his blue Chase card back to him. Then hands me my card with the receipt. The guy asks do I need to sign anything and her response was no dont worry about it. Ok.I look down at my bill and it has both his beer and my cider on the bill. I nicely confronted her about it and said I saw what you just did there and that is not cool. Can i please speak with your manager? she said I am the manager. Yea ok.... So I ask Ok well can I have the information of who owns this place? she said, I own it. ...... ok youre lying but that is fine. I didnt cause a scene because it isnt worth it right?I told her I wanted a refund and she said I will refund you but you still need to pay for your cider. I told her listen, I work in customer service and I literally just watched you WILLINGLY put someone elses drink on my card. On purpose. 100%. I do not want 2 charges from this facility because I do not trust that you will cancel the first payment. She wouldnt let it go...I said fine. It is what it is. I just paid for both beers, left and vowed not to come back.I am writing this because I took a look at my bank statements and it looks like little miss bartender decided to give herself a $20 tip! So instead of my bill being like $12, its $32! Again, 100% knowing it was wrong and ILLEGAL she stole more of my money.Thats totally fine. Take my money girl, I truly dont care. I just want everyone who decides to come to Bulldog to please monitor your charges and be mindful (especially if youve been drinking) of your bill at the end of the night as well as the bank statement in the following days when they are closed out.I still have my receipt from that night.

A sports bar craft tap room & bottle shop to go, with two adorable English Bulldogs. Great staff & a good place if you want craft & are tired of all the great local options.

Lots of local ScBeer and NCBeer on tap in the bar area as well as a stellar selection of cold beers from around the globe to go.Large seating area with games inside and outside. Sports on the TV, plenty of restrooms and usually a food truck outside.
