I had such high hopes , considering I was able to physically touch the hair prior to purchasing, also being a woman of color supporting black business. The owner was very welcoming and sweet , however the body wave bundles I purchased was by far the worst hair I’ve ever had. The hair didn’t hold heat and after the first day while combing through it , it was so course it felt like synthetic hair . I called and personally updated the owner on my experience however he didn’t take well to the criticism and tried to point the finger at me not using heating protector. I only flat attempted to flat iron a piece to see how it took but you let him tell it .. it’s my fault the hair didn’t give what it was supposed. Overall I’d never refer anybody to this business . Better off throwing your money down the drain .

Don’t waste your money, I had the same experience. Once the hair is flat ironed it’s ruined $500 for trash quality. The hair also irritated my skin and caused bumps. I actually had my wig replaced and of course I was given a thousand excuses but he realized it was bad quality after he thought he could revive the hair and it failed he replaced the wig and I’m again in the same position. This time I just want to leave a review so people can stop getting robbed from this place. We work hard and I don’t splurge on hair much it was a treat for myself that got ruined. Don’t do it, I advise you go somewhere else

I’ve placed MANY orders with hunny including curly, kinky straight, and rose wave. Each time has been phenomenal service and top quality. I will continue to support and purchase from them! They have everything you want, lots of variety, and are quick on custom things you want. Negative reviews must be from people who don’t know how to maintain hair.

As a stylist I’ve used Hunny hun hair a number of times and never had an issue at all. It colors good and holds its quality.All the bad reviews must be from clients who don’t know how to take care of weave bc my clients hair had never looked like the reviews.

I was considering purchasing hair from this company. I saw so many bad reviews about the hair and mostly the customer service not given by the owners. I must admit something that was starting was the response the owners gave. They unanimously accused the customer of not taking care of the hair. Quality hairshould be able to stand up to normal maintenance

I went to honey bun and purchased hair in early November. Initially when purchased the hair looked beautiful, soft, and luxurious. That is until my stylist sewed it in and flat ironed it and melted all the fillers and silicone off of the hair and the hair started showing its true ugly colors. I thought the hair was gorgeous until heat was applied to it and the hair started splitting from every corner and looked heat damaged and dry after the first install. I am a stylist myself and I know a lot about hair and I know that most of these hair companies buy their hair bulk from vendors in Asia and most of the hair is slathered with silicone mix and fillers so that it appears luxurious until heat is applied and melts it off. This is literally what happened to me. This literally was the worse hair I have ever purchased from a Hair Boutique. I dont know what person head this belonged to before I purchased it. But I am sure he or she was a peasant because this hair is split, damaged, unhealthy and definitely wasnt taken care of . Not only was the hair horrible but it broke me out with disgusting acne. My experience with that hair was so horrible that Honey Bun should of paid me to wear that evil science experiment. I took an initiative by contacting the store manager about the hair and later talked to the owner. The owner stated she wanted me to come in so she can view the hair and believe me I thought about going in but than I thought to myself; she isnt going to give me a refund just a discount on my next purchase or at the most an exchange for more horrible bundles of the disgusting hair they sale. Which I wasnt having. So basically I just took my LS. Ladies I have literally gotten better hair at my local beauty supply store. Model Model Brazilian body is better than this hair. So instead OF going back to get an exchange I decided to take my lost and expose the truth so that I can save the next victim from making the same mistake as I did. Ladies do not buy there hair, because if it is anything like the bundles I purchased you will definitely regret it. Save your money and buy Kendras Hair Boutique HAIR or from any other hair company known for having a good brand of hair. I purchased from Kendras Hair Boutique once and got amazing hair but I never went back because of how expensive it was. But now I know it cost sometimes to get good quality.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE !!!! If I could give zero stars I would. This place is horrible. When you walk in there are just hair samples that havent been kept and someone sitting behind a desk. The lady sitting behind the desk didnt acknowledge me until I was in the store for at least 5 minutes. She was laughing and having a conversation with her friend ,mind you I was he only costumer in the place. So I get my 360 frontal and it totaled to about $180 ( more than what she said it would be when I called on the phone that day). Fast forward two weeks and my 360 is completely almost completely BALD. I called and spoke to an employee and she took all my information down, I told her my issues and she said her manager would call me on Tuesday. NO CALL ON TUESDAY. By this point I had been back to my stylist ,who has never dealt with such horrible hair, to try and style my hair to get some wear out of it. There was no saving it. I have to take out a $300+ sew in that was less than a month old because of HUNNY BUN hair.I called HUNNY BUN and the manager answered the phone. I asked her if she got a messaged to return my call and she said no she would have called. She started our conversation off very rude and the unprofessionalism continued from there. I told her the hair was not good quality like the day it was and how it has fallen out and I hadnt had it for a month. She asked me if it had been chemically alter and I explained that a low level developer had been used. She then harshly told me they dont do anything if the hair has been chemically altered Now if you are telling me a low level developer will cause the hair to bald and fall out then this company should be out of business. The quality of their hair is garbage and they should not be charging for hair that they came is very high quality. This manager said I could get a 10% discount on my next purchase... next purchase ? No no. I would NEVER NEVER DO BUSINESS with HUNNY BUN again. Horrible customer service, horrible hair quality and horrible management. Save your money and invest elsewhere. I take good care of my installations. This is the type of product Hunny Bun hair sells. The manager said there was no one above her to talk to me about my grievances. She said the owner of the store would side with her. She was extremely disrespectful

This time around I bought 5A Brazilian straight from the Hunny bun store and it is just as good as 7A. The quality is amazing. The girl working the front desk was so polite, very knowledgeable and tended to me right away. The quality of the hair is the best I have ever seen. I recommended the hair to so many friends. They order offline of course because they are not from NC and they were so pleased with how quickly they received their product. Hunnybun gets a A++ from me!

One star is way too generous. I wish I had the ability to go back & submit the recording I’ve had with Rhonda’s husband who btw is egregiously incompetent & was completely out of line with me because I told him my that unit was shedding badly the same day I purchased it. I’ve never heard so many excuses in my life. I have also noticed by reading over the other submissions that everyone has had the same experience in which they choose to make excuses for their terrible product. Not everyone is lying. The quality of the hair is absolutely atrocious & I would rather go to Tisun than to spend another penny here & before you come on here to say you couldn’t find any record of me purchasing hair, you know exactly who I am. Fast service and Im 2 weeks in and the #613 closure I bought is great. It curls well and flat irons silky straight. The hair is great quality with a reasonable price.

I only tried this company because it was a holiday weekend and I needed hair immediately. I purchased 3 straight bundles, 10,12 and 14 inches and a closure directly from the store on N. Tryon. The customer service was absolutely amazing! The gentleman went above and beyond to help me get the hair I needed. However the customer service just isnt enough to make up for the horrible quality of hair. I am an avid weave wearer so I know how to maintain hair. I had the hair installed on 5/31 and it had to be taken out by 6/23. The hair shredded horrifically, and the hair did not hold heat at all. The prices and customer service earned the couple stars I did give. I will not be purchasing from here again. And I do not recommend you waste your money.

My Wife purchased hair from this place because she didn’t have time to go to her normal place which is Hair Import. Because it was her birthday she wanted a different look. The hair was very pretty and the curly patterns was nice. She normally dyes her hair but this time she stated she didn’t for some reason , she said it was her instinct. The hair was installed a couple days after she purchased, and noticed that maybe two to three days later the hair started getting matted and tangled. My wife is a stylist so she does good maintenance on her hair, she doesn’t use and chemicals on it, lightly apply oil to give it a natural look, or shine. At night she always use Silk or Satin bonnet and pin curl her hair every night since the installation. It’s had not been a week since it was installed and she already having this issue with matting + the ends looks shabby..she had to trim that off . After speaking with a manager last week , they off a discount on next purchase !Next purchase there will never be a next purchase.. that’s a way to keep you buying this product! At this point Small Claims Court is where we are headed!

Purchased a wig from here and it was the worst hair I’ve ever purchased. The hair matted up so badly. Hair shedded terribly after I washed it. The lace on the frontal was so thick my stylist hated it. Never again. Please save your coins.

This hair is absolutely PERFECT! Ive had this hair for about 2 months now and my first install was with a side part and my second install is a middle part. You definitely have to take care of the hair as if it was your own. I always take out the time to wash and condition it as often as I can and as long as you do that the hair will stay bouncy and and managble. Minimum shedding, minimum tangling and for a decent price. 👌👌

I bought Hunny Bun hair at their store location on N. Tryon for my girlfriend and she says it is the best hair I bought in a while. The quality is amazing, the hair is thick and it does not shed when she combs it all throughout the day. The hair holds a curl and when she wore it bone straight it lasted. I appreciate the awesome customer service at the store as well... I will be back!

I shopped here for years and the hair is typically very good. I usually get the 5A grade hair and it lasts me a long time, however this last time I went (like 3 weeks ago) I bought my 3 bundles of typical lengths but after my hair was complete, it looked noticeably thinner. It looks like I may have 2 bundles installed instead of three. It makes me worried because I do shop here frequently and I was just disappointed in the quality this time around. Customer service was amazing as usual though! A+ on that ladies!

The straight frontal that I purchased shed so much that it now has huge bald spots. Frontals alone are already expensive just to maintain so they should at least 2 weeks. Every where I go there’s hair falling out.. it’s in my chair, on my pillow, my shower, etc... Maybe it’s just the straight hair, I can’t speak for the other textures... & as far as the bundles, they’re inexpensive so I’d recommend them for that reason but but the quality was slightly below average.

Spent about $118 after tax for two bundles of Brazilian straight. Which is a great price. Hair is soft, but tangles after a couple weeks and is very thin. You should get 3 bundles for a fuller look, but if you go to their sister store, the weaveshop. Theyll charge you $30 extra to put in a 3rd bundle.

I bought hair from Hunney bun $300 frontal install and after 10 days the curls were horribly gone and now on week 3 I have a huge bald spot. I called and they want me to pay someone to take the hair out for 3 days and bring it to them to test. I had to pay my stylist to flat iron my deep curl so I can shoot video and my hair looks awful. I cannot do anything with it and Im totally confused as to how this long lasting hair only lasted a couple of days. How do I attach pics??

I bought a frontal and 3 bundles for $430. The frontal (6a grade hair) and the bundles I bought was supposed to be 7a grade hair. I bleached the bundles the same week and the hair could barely straighten. I get my hair professionally done at one of the best salons in Charlotte, Hera By Him, and the bundle hair didnt last a month! I called to see if their couldve been a mix up, and between the 7a hair and 5a because my frontal was fine but the bundles werent she said No! Ive been wearing weave for over 10 years so I know good hair! I didnt get a refund nor did I get a chance to switch out the hair for 7a hair! SAVE YOUR MONEY! I wasted $430 on one week hair!

The service was prompt and courteous however the hair is just not what Im accustom to from other vendors.Once installed the hair was immediately nappy and almost matted. My stylist had to straighten the hair before adding any curls. The curls also do not hold.While I purchased the 5A hair because I planned to keep this style no longer than a month I should have purchased a different type or quality or maybe brand as this hair will not work for me longer than a week or two since Im traveling and simply dont have time to return to my stylist.I read the other comments and I probably should have taken heed to the comments about quality because they hit the nail on the head. I would really like to take this out and return it because its just a poor quality unfortunately.Again, service was good and being open on a Sunday was great but the quality of the 5A product is actually not as good as buying pack bundles from a hair supply store. :(

$410 DOWN THE DRAIN I’d give 0 stars the hair is HORRIBLE. They’re not reasonable I purchased $250 Hair that lasted not even a week had to take down in less than 2weeks when suppose to last for 2 months paid $160 for my install their solution consisted of THEM shampooing the Hair I gave back after I took it right out when not expecting all the trouble of paying for Hair and a install for it to mat shed and become extremely stiff in a matter of a week. As a licensed cosmetologist that deals with clients/customers I’d never play anyone like this a REFUND indeed would be considered money hungry business owners won’t stay in business long quality has always been over quantity but obviously not for this company. Would not recommend MY clients or anyone else to purchase Hair from them.

I really enjoyed my hair however the experience was not pleasurable. Ive purchased the deep wave before and was looking to purchase again for my birthday. I received a call to do a survey. I was advised if I did a face book review, I would receive 25% off. I added pictures and did a review, went in to purchase my hair and was told that it had to be face book, google and some other site. Once I advised that was never specified and had it been, I could have easily done that and I expected the discount, the response was just Im sorry. Im very big on customer service. If you dont make me feel valued as a customer for choosing you out of many others to pay for a service, I will easily take my money else where. Your customers and product is what generates success and revenue.

Have purchased hair from Hunny Bun numerous times without any problems, recently went in to purchase hair the receptionist was a bit rude the prices that are listed on the website and flyers in store was totally inflated she wasnt willing to satisfy me as a repeating customer I purchased the hair at the inflated price only because I had drove from Goldsboro and my hair appt. Was for the following day giving me no time to shop around for a more reputable hair business in Charlotte since Im not familiar with Charlotte, I was very disappointed with the unprofessionalism and unwillingness to compromise the price that I always pay and what was listed on the website and in store flyers, this girl is someone Ive never dealt with before theres usually two very nice young ladies that are there. Not very good hair at all!i would not recommend this shop at all . I normally never give anyone a bad review however i feel no one should spend 300.00 on garbage hair and when reaching out to company about their product they do nothing to resolve the problem. This hair was supossed to be able to tolerate dye however it did not ! curl pattern totally went away and hair looks old. Its so much easier to please your customers to keep them coming back however they lost a customer and i will never recomend anyone go here. I did better buying pack hair! That speaks volume!

Bought my daughters hair in August for back to school. Took hair out from sewin the hair was matted and shedded badly after 1mth. Was told hair would last for 1yr. Very disappointed, I paid like 270 for the Brazilian wave hair.

Recently purchased a silk based closure last month within a month the middle of the closure was gone. this is the absolute worst hair company and customer service i ever received in charlotte and for what you paying for it this should not be the results. went the store with the actual closure and was told that it was me and my stylist fault as to why its like this

Dont do it! Hair isnt true to length, it sheds horrifically, and the matting is ridiculous. I spent about $250 for this hair, and was only able to wear it for 1 month.Hope this helps!

Hunny Bun Manager , I forgot his name but he’s Rhonda’s husband. His attitude towards the customers is stink. I personally encounters his unprofessional customer service towards me while I was doing a $1,360 weave purchase with him. I will not do business with Hunny Bun again if he’s there. I like support black businesses but the guy attitude stink and really not a friendly feel while doing business with him. He might as well stayed in the damn back- and let the girl at the front desk handle the business. Imagine I spend $1,360 and he didn’t even hit a professional receipt to give to me, telling me to come back for my receipt when he prepare it on the computer. I had a very unprofessional service and rude approach from Ms.Rhonda husband say he’s the manager. #Sigh

I am a regular customer who spends waaaaaay too much waaaay too often on hair. Unfortunately my last experience was disappointing. I usually buy hair for myself and my mother at the same time so Im spending around $400 bucks. I loved that the bundle combos saved us so much money. I calculate how much it would cost me by going off the online prices so I have an idea when I get to the store. I drive 40 minutes to get there which is another con. Once Im there I ring everything up and to my surprise its over $100 more than expected. They apparently changed their prices online and in stores. But it was not reflecting online. Instead of honoring the price difference, they gave me two options which I thought was petty. I could get the bundle combo prices and the frontal price online and not get my 25% off discount for my fifth purchase. Or I could pay the new price for the hair and get the 25% off discount. I was still spending way more than intended. I refused to pay $520.00 for hair. I am just very disappointed because Ive spent well over $1000 here. I will have to find a new hair store. Hopefully this doesnt happen to anyone else.

We are supposed to support black businesses, but how when they dont open on time. This is my third time coming to buy hair from them and their closed during their normal business hours. The Chinese stores open on time!!! The hair is great but if I have to wait an hour then is it worth it???

Hunnybuns service was great, HOWEVER, the quality of hair is sub-par at best. I had 5A Brazilian hair and this hair is notorious for shedding and getting tangled. And yes, I take very good care of my weaves. I will definitely be going back to my last vendor for hair. Its more expensive but worth it. The shedding of Hunnybuns hair made it have less volume and it already wasnt too thick to begin with. If they can fix those issues, I would consider shopping with them again. Otherwise, at least I tried but its just not for me.

Literally been wearing this hair for a little over a week and my frontal is already balding. It started shedding and tangling tremendously even as I washed it for the first time prior to wearing it. Anyone who wears frontals is going to chemically process the knots which I guess invalidates anyone’s opportunity at a refund. I’m usually more maticulous about my hair but it shows when you rush at that first thing because of lack of time. Do not buy from here !

Looked for the best virgin remy in the NC area, ended up at Hunny Bun...sucks that the sample I saw is from china / aliexpress material a.k.a. cloth strands, or something like that...you can tell and feel from a mile away...I was disappointed to detour to see this...Unfortunately I have to go back to LA, NY, or ATL to get some quality...

If I could give this hair 0 stars I would. The frontal sheds like crazy. It has been exactly ONE week, I did NOT even bleach the knots and half of the hair in the frontal is gone. The hair gets tangled and sheds like crazy. I installed this frontal last week, with a u wig that I made two years ago. The quality of my hair that I got two years ago from a different vendor feels brand new compared to this hair I got less than a week ago from hunny bun hair. Please do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere. It was supposed to be a quick fix until I ordered all new hair from my usual vendor. Unfortunately it expired way before expected.

I am not a happy customer. I purchased some bundles of hair about two weeks ago. The hair so tangley and shedding a lot It wont hold a curl. I was told the hair should last up 6 -9 months. Theres no way this hair will last another two weeks. I hope this issue and be resolved asap.

I purchased 7a Brazilian body wave 18,20 (my head small) hair felt awesome, really no smell to it, came with great package ( a cute box) I install the hair and it was sooooo pretty but soooooo thin with no volume(very flat) you will definitely need to buy at least 3+ bundles despite how small your heads (at world class hair I could get away with two bundles not to mention they have fairly decent hair) HBH did not shed since my install three days ago. Would purchase again.

First I would like to say the women who I spoke to on the phone, at the store were sweet.I purchased 7a hair (the best quality aka most expensive) at the end of June. It was the deep curl which is pretty curly. I have purchased this EXACT hair before, and I LOVED it and I know how to manage it. My last purchase lasted about 2 installs.However this experience was horrible. I got the hair and about three weeks in, I saw a good amount of shedding. I was surprised because my first experience was not like this. I emailed the hunnybun contact information on the website. And stated how this 7a hair was shedding horribly...no one got back to me.Ok fine, brush it off...literally . Then about 2 weeks later, I go to the beach. Ladies, when I say I came out of the ocean with dreadlocks....I immediately washed and attempted to detangle the hair with conditioner with no avail. With HIGH QUALITY VIRGIN hair I DO NOT expect to have this happen.. maybe with some milky way but not $300 dollar hair, that I only had in for A MONTH.So I ended up cutting my 14,16,18in bundles into a bob :( ...anyway I reached out to the store... and the associate said I could provide pictures to the owner and he would get back to me. Instead the manager called me the next day, then she called victor. She then told me.... I could have 15% off my next purchase.......what is that? The owner, Victor never even took a look at the pictures, he made that decision before I had the chance to send themI was told that I couldnt have a refund because I altered the hair (which I assume is wearing it)...I never colored it and I told Talea how I took care of the hair, she had no disapproving responses. I honestly did not want a refund but just replace the bundles with 7a hair, because obviously what is in my head is not it.I just wish they would realize it is ok to say We gave you bad hair and we realize that . If a customer purchases the highest quality hair (who has experience with curly hair), complains in 3 weeks, then tells you 2 weeks later that the hair was matted, I really do not understand. I never got a response initially with shedding and now their fair offer is 15%?Ladies be cautious of buying your hair from here. I have had good experiences...but be cautious.Edit: So Victor got back to me in a timely manner and fixed the situation. And he and his wife were a pleasure to speak to about the hair. This hair has not even made it a week. I purchased the kinky curly hair in 5A 2 20, 1 22 and 1 24 and it is worst that synthetic hair from Tisun. It tangles and mats horribly and in an effort to save my money I have combed out the locs that progress over the day every night. From this the hair now sheds, which of course is a given when even with the super slick au natural leave in conditioner this hair still remains as a rats nest. Ive had my hair since february and i bought 3 for 160 . I dyed it a dark purple ever since than the hair is just so stiff when i straigthen it. it only looks ok when i wand curl it . Regardless of the color the hair shouldve been silky either way . im disspointed and i will be ordering my bundles online next time . smh .

On June 7, i contact Hunnybun to advise them that the hair had gone bad and was now a birds nest on my head. I was advised that Hunnybun Hair is actually owned by The Weave Shop and to go visit them with my complaint.At the Weave Shop I spoke with Rhonda, the owner and then her husband, Victor (complete imbecile) who are both absolutely ridiculous as business owners. Neither of them could explain why my hair, my daughters hair that she purchased the same day, as well as a friend who i referred, hair became a matted mess. These two $50 weave shop owners treat their customers with very poor customer service and could care less about the condition of the hair they sold.They both asked the most ridiculous questions, before finally coming up with a solution to a more than $700 loss...25% OF OUR NEXT PURCHASE....PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT PURCHASE HAIR FROMM THIS SHOP, IT IS VERY POOR QUALITY AND YOU WILL HAVE WASTED YOUR MONEY!

Bought the Mongolian Kinky about 2 months ago. I like the curl, but the hair is not soft unless you condition the hair on a routine basis. I did color a bit of the hair. The color did loosen the curl but the texture stayed consistent. I have to comb out and twist my hair every night so that they are no tangles in the morning. Overall, the quality of the hair did not wow me but I like the curl so Im working with it. Also, I would either book appointments or employ more staff because the wait for assistance was long but I do understand that customers will have a lot of questions and the boutique wants to provide quality service. However, my situation was I already knew what I wanted, so to have to wait behind a customer who has a million (exaggeration) questions is annoying.

Id give 0 stars if I could. The owner is rude and does not know how to speak to costumers.
