Best experience at my worst time. Catalytic converter price was beyond reasonable customer service was GREAT!in and out under an hour for my straight pipe service and definitely will be returning to have Catalytic replaced. BEST SERVICE EVER!!! THANKS GUYS

I absolutely love this place.I had two technicians look at my car and let me know everything that I needed to fix. Not only that, but Dani brought me into the shop as my car was in the air and showed me why and what I needed fixing. He let me know what I needed immediately and why it was important to get it changed. As a woman, you want to trust shops but we all know the majority of them just want to make money. This shop was different. They educated me and took the time to explain. They didn’t make me feel taken advantage , like I was left feeling after leaving many shop’s. Thank you Brian for thoroughly checking my vehicle and thank Romos Auto for having a great Staff !!! After going on a week long search for the best shop, I FINALLY found MY GUYS !!!🤗

I brought my car to them on may 27th to repair my ac. Either it has blockage in the lines, or a leak somewhere. I explained to them Ive put freon in twice over the summer. They were supposed to do a dye job to find the leak and either repair or flush line. After having my car for almost 4hours, I come back and they tell me the whole unit needs to be replaced and would cost about $1300. Dani said he knew a friend to get the parts cheaper as a unit as opposed to buying separately. He never got back to me. Now, there is a box underneath my glove compartment that is making a clicking noise like it is hitting something. I didnt have that problem before. The only way to stop it is to disconnect it. Ive had it looked at elsewhere and they said my lines werent flushed, it doesnt look like my car was even properly examined. I paid 100 dollars for my car to sit for hours and not even get a real answer to the problem. Now I have to take it to the dealership and pay AGAIN to at least find out what the problem is so I can start on repairs. Romo couldnt tell me if it was my compressor, condenser or blower. If you can, just pay the dealership. Also, my invoice says they only had my car for an hour. They had it for almost 4 hours and Im sure it took them less than an hour to say everything needs replacement. Im even further lost now than I was before I contacted them.

Danny just took over this shop from his uncle a month ago, and he is awesome. He completely replaced the rusty exhaust on my 1981 280zx in about 2 hours. I am really happy with his level of service, professionalism, and friendliness. He was very helpful, even over the phone before I ever brought the car in. Most shops wont give you any meaningful information over the phone. Danny and Romo Auto Care and Muffler treat you right, and he has my return business for life.

I rode my bike down there to have them put some air in it I figured they wouldnt have time as they seemed really busy but I believe the owner came out and asked me what I needed and I said all I needed is to put some air in my tire he was the most friendliest person with a big smile and told me to go to the first garage opening and one of his fellas would put air in it.They most definitely have customer service skills and know how to give a smile to their customers.Thanks for what you all do!

Romo is a place that practices professionalism with their customers which is why i went back a second time. After greeting you and finding out your needs, youre welcome to sit inside and wait or come back. According to what you may or may not need done to your car, your visit maybe long or short but youll leave knowing you were taken care of. In my case i had exhaust work done and it was fast and clean. So i will be back if i ever need to. Thanks Romo

These guys are awesome. I brought in my car for a catalytic converter replacement after some thieves sawed mine clean off. I dropped my car off right at closing, and they had an estimate for me by 9:30AM the next day. By 11AM they were already done! Their quote was $300 cheaper than where I was initially going to have it repaired, and they even offered a one year warranty on the repair work. I was overall very impressed by their speed, value, and professionalism. The car feels and sounds like nothing ever happened to it. If you wake up one morning to a car without a catalytic converter, this is the place to go!

These guys did a great job and communication. Went to Menieke for an estimate and it was very expensive, went to Romo just to see what they could give me as an estimate, also because they are local. Turns out they were much cheaper and rated higher for customer service. They did a great job on my truck which was hard to get parts for it because a double catalytic converter, however, they did it! Also after the work I came back for what I thought I was hearing a noise, Dann took a ride with me and confirmed the sound. It turned out the muffler manufacturer had a given them a faulty muffle (very rare). They fixed it the next day. Highly recommend honest guys.

I am only a 18 year old boy. Called them abd went there only to be told that it’ll cost $900 to weld a patch on my truck. Other people sitting heard that and were shocked. They wrote on the estimate that they charge $250 an hour. Disappointed, I walked out never to come back.

Not professional at all. Was told drop off at opening and he would get right away. Still mid evening by 2 oclock still havent touched it to work on. It was moved behind another car in bay and looked like theyd been using it for a shop vehicle. It is a 2021 vehicle with 1000 miles on it. I made two trips with two automobiles and wasted half day on this shop coming from Indian land because of reviews and very disappointed. I wouldnt recommend them at all.

Came here to get my car fixed and Dani hooked me up. Dude was professional and knew his stuff. Highly recommend him and his crew.

I hate that I have to give this place one star because Danny is such a nice guy plus he fixed my daughter’s car. But..unfortunately the work is very unsatisfactory. I actually cried because I’m back at square one. I have a luxury SUV which has suspension problems. I wish he had been honest and told me he didn’t feel comfortable working on it. So not only did he have my truck for five days, he lied and said the issue was fixed. Once I drove it off the lot, it was still doing the same thing after he told me he had driven it to make sure it was fine. I also noticed my sunroof was cracked. I mentioned it to him but he said he didn’t know what could have happened. Money wasted, problem not fixed, plus another problem I have to deal with. Very disappointed.

They always discuss all of my options prior to working on my car. Theres never any pressure and I trust them to give me their honest opinion. Pricing is fair and competitive with other local shops out there.

Update - 9/1/2020 after owner response.It is a blatant LIE that I picked up the vehicle same day. I called a couple of time to check the status on my car, later in the evening, I was told, they were busy and didnt had a chance to look at the car so leave it overnight. I am all up for growing and support my neighborhood business but I also want quality service and honest feedback. Good Luck to you and take care.I do not like this shop. I had a check engine and VSA light on on my Honda Accord(98k miles). They asked me drop off the car, I did. My car was in the shop for a day and a half but they didn’t get a chance to look at it. In the end, they advised to do a $45 oil change(oil change cost $25 at the dealership) to see if it fixes the issue, it did not. Total waste of money and time. DO NOT go here.

Danny and his team are AH-MAZING. The quality of work and customer service is the best that I have experienced in all of my years owning a car. Danny is honest, timely, and personable. The guys always take a good care of me. They did a muffler delete and it was a little too loud. So, I ordered some resonators and dropped by on Friday morning. They worked me in and Danny put them on for me. I was in and out in an hour! The vehicle sounds perfect now! These guys do a great job!

Pulled in and he dropped what he was doing to discuss it with me and then put it right on the lift. I took a conference call in their office while they made some custom fits. I bought a really cute car that had a million things wrong with it. I took it to two different mechanics and the dealer but I wasn’t satisfied with the customer service or the prices.So I brought it to Danny and he was able to tell me right away what needed to be done and didn’t try to charge me an arm and a leg. He was very nice and very patient. Whenever there was something wrong he would show it to me and tell me how it was affecting the car. I never left that shop feeling like I got ripped off.I’m still working on a few minor things, but Danny got all the major things done. When there was something big wrong, he let me know how long I could drive before the repair was absolutely required.I would recommend Romo Auto Care to anyone, but especially to women, as we seem to be prey to some mechanics. Danny is very open and honest about the work needed and how much it will cost.

Installed a Dow pipe from my car. They were very professional and helped me reweld the brackets since they didn’t fit.

I had new rims and tires I needed to be put on, but the wheels I currently had on my car didn’t have the key to the lug nuts. To add to that, the lug nuts were stripped and tight. These guys took in my car with no hesitation or issues and got the job done so well. Before finding Romo’s I went to two other shops on the same street, who denied working on my car. Thank you for taking care of my car!

Danny and co are awesome. Very honest and very efficient. I had a blown head gasket and checked up on it frequently through the process, their work was VERY clean and organized. They only source parts from OEM or OEM equivalent manufacturers. As long as they have an opening, I will always use them when I run into a problem that’s out of my expertise.

This is a great place to work for a good price. I was assisted by Alberto replacing the exhaust tips in my M3. I brought with me the tips to install but unfortunately they did not fit, Alberto just advised me on what to do and provided replacements that really worked on the car. He tried them and did the install as he was checking with me on the fitment. Very please with install/price. Awesome place

Took my motorcycle there for some exhaust work and they totally blew me off. Had me wait a while only to tell me they dont do exhaust work for motorcycles. Go elsewhere.

I have a unique, 40 year old car I am starting to restore, but live in an apartment so cannot do any work myself at the moment, or get under the car to view underneath/internals. I brought it in to Romo for a little exhaust work and an oil change, and they did a great job with giving me some options for the exhaust work and even let me come back so they could point out some other motor related issues/leaks I need to keep an eye on/be aware of that may need some fixes in the near future. Not a sales pitch or pressure, just a heads up for my benefit. They got me in and out, and prices for what I had done were fair. Id definitely recommend them.

I was charged a fraction of the cost and as a college student thats exactly what I needed. The environment is awesome and the mechanics are friendly and knowledgeable. Romo auto shop is a great place to go for all your car needs. The guys at Romo are very smart and quick and they know alot about cars they take pride in their work. I had a very good time there i did not wait long. and also very affordable.

My primary mechanic found an exhaust leak and recommended that I find a muffler repair shop to weld a leak rather than replace it. I took it to three shops and they all said it would need to be replaced. I brought the car to Romo, after a quick inspection he said he coould easily do the weld . I returned the following day with the car and the repair was done in under an hour and under the initial price that was quoted. Great service from an honest business.

I wanted to share my experience with anyone that’s not sure about where to go in-regards to finding a quality exhaust shop here in Charlotte. I googled “best exhaust shops in Charlotte” and after reading the reviews from previous customers, I wanted to call and see about getting booked after work. During my lunch break, I called the shop and unfortunately did not get a hold of anyone. I knew they were probably busy so, I figured I would just call them back after work. Not even 3 mins later, Danny calls me back! I told him that I was looking to get my muffler installed on my truck and he said very welcomely to bring it over to the shop and they would take care of me. Upon arrival he was working on another customers vehicle. He stops what he’s doing and calls me by my name to welcome me to the shop. The initial first impression reassured me, that I had found my go-to shop! Very personable, great attitude, motivated and overall great experience! He was precious and detailed orientated with his approach to taking care of my truck and experience. I’m one to appreciate the fact he took his gloves off and washed his hands before re-entering my truck. I definitely was under the impression that he treats customers vehicles as his own. He made sure that the welds on the additional piece added to the muffler was properly secured and there were no room for leaks or mistakes. He mentioned that he was interested in carrying Black Widow Muffler’s in the near future because he loved the way it sound on my Tacoma! I was very pleased with the customer service, atmosphere and overall experience! When you treat people like family and do things right the first time, it’s hard not to love that experience and want to continue to come back when your receiving QUALITY over QUANTITY. Well, sorry you felt that way, sir. Ive been there many times and I love going there because the guys working there, including the owner, are all very professional and nice. I do wonder why you continue to go back to have your car worked on if you feel this way? Also, if they work on your car, especially for breaks, the mechanic that does the job has to test drive it. Surely you arent suggesting they send it off without first checking it out? That doesnt seem safe.

Best exhaust work Ive ever seen, brung my car in with a performance exhaust.... THAT WASNT MADE FOR MY CAR!!! they retrofitted it to my car, using 100% all the parts that I handed them, and charged me exactly what I was quoted. cool environment, awesome employees. loved every visit 10/10

My past experiences with other shops have included: spoken to very condescendingly, lies about issues on my car, creation panic/fear in reporting potential issues, and extreme overcharging for service (especially when Im in a pinch). Romo auto was none of this! They were great! Big thanks to Roberto, Luis, and Romo for all aiding in my positive experience.I was towed in due to a broken starter. I purchased the starter and told them what I wanted done. They quoted me the price for labor and got right to work. Later I got a call with concern of an oil leak and a prepared quote that was reasonable. Lastly they discovered the relay fuse was blown and took care of that as well.I really appreciated their thorough, level headed evaluation of the problem. This is valuable to me because it lets me know Im in good hands. They didnt add extra drama which was so refreshing!Before I left Luis advised me to get my battery checked because it seemed a little low. While I fought him on this a bit thinking it was just another mechanic squeezing for an extra buck, I later found the date sticker showing my battery over 5 years old and promptly replaced it. Thanks to him we caught it BEFORE it was a problem!Side note, I appreciated the large gated lot, waiting area, and cleanliness of everything. Dont let the neighborhood fool you, just pop over to lucky dog for a drink while you wait :)

They are great to work with for custom exhaust work. They installed my custom exhaust and modified the exhaust tips so i would not melt my bumper. They take pride in their work and make sure the customer is happy!

Romo is a great and honest man. No run around him and his nephew have both worked on my 2004 gto. I know its not the highest value car but GTO s are hard to work on and have corvette motors in them. I had a trusted mechanic for years but he was closed one day and I needed my alternator replaced. Romo charged 100 less and did a perfect job and even replaced my belts for just the price of belts since that part of the car was already taken apart. So I got a new altinator new ac and serpentine belt for less than I would have played at my old shop. Now he is custom building an exhaust for me on a 400 plus hp car. Great place.

I don’t want to give a bad review because I actually didn’t get my car fixed with them. I went in to have my car looked at and for repair cost. They told me to repair my flex pipe it would be $190 and it will take an hour. Shopping around I found another certified body shop (Buddy’s Muffler and Exhaust in Gastonia ext 26 off I85) who charged me $80. What a price difference.

Very professional service and the work to my car was done affordably and in way less time than I thought. Truly a great garage!

Romo is a good mechanic unfortunately I dont feel the same about his employee. If you dont know about cars please be cautious unless Romo works on it himself.Romo is a good man but he needs to teach his employee some customer service. What happend to customer is right?! I paid for the service and they need to do their job right and not teach me I am wrong when I can see a bolt missing from where it was before I took my car to get the work done!
